Lin Zhixiao cried uncontrollably in Gu Wei’s arms, while her mother also broke down in the fitting room. She had just tied a bow tie for Lin Jianguo, but her emotions still got the best of her. Lin Jianguo was also deeply affected but silently patted his wife to console her. The whole family visited the wedding venue. During a break, Lin Zhixiao shared an ice cream with her father and excitedly talked about the future.

The moment was beautiful and heartwarming, but it couldn’t last. With a loving yet serious expression, Lin Jianguo reminded his daughter that she needed to grow up quickly and walk her own path from now on. But his words made Lin Zhixiao extremely upset. With the mission failed, Gu Xiao passed the challenge back to Lin Zhixiao. That night, she and Gu Wei talked on the phone, nervous and excited about the next day.

On the wedding day, before the guests arrived, Lin Zhixiao rehearsed on stage, holding Lin Jianguo’s arm. She then realized she had forgotten to bring her vows. Yin Xi and Xiao Shan split up to search for them. They saw Shao Jiang arrive with his girlfriend, and Jin Shi’s appearance made her uncomfortable. Friends and family gathered at the wedding venue. She pretended to obey his rules but secretly challenged him at every turn. After recalling many fond memories, Lin Jianguo expressed gratitude that his daughter had met Gu Wei. Their daily life, though ordinary, was filled with laughter and joy. At the end of the letter, Lin Jianguo emphasized again that he couldn’t accompany Lin Zhixiao for the rest of her life—because everyone in this world can only walk part of the way with another.

In the end, she would have to carry on by herself. Seven years passed in a flash. Lin Zhixiao and Gu Wei were still deeply in love. Their son was now old enough to run and jump, and he was absolutely adorable. Occasionally, the couple would rewatch their wedding video and open the letters Lin Jianguo had left. Each letter was filled with his blessings and reminders.

Since getting married, Gu Wei had become increasingly strict in the eyes of his colleagues. He rarely smiled and was fully dedicated to his work. Perhaps the pain of losing his father-in-law to cancer made him more disciplined. But he had never wavered in his promise to always make Lin Zhixiao happy. One evening at sunset, Gu Wei and Lin Zhixiao played on the grass with their son. Watching him run around like the wind, they were filled with joy.

As parents, they finally understood the hardship and responsibility of raising a child. The young couple walked hand in hand with their son into the sunset, becoming part of that moment’s warmth and beauty.
