Li Chenlan discovered Qin Zhiyan tied up in the room and, puzzled, asked her what had happened. Qin Qianxian learned of Qin Zhiyan joining Wanlu Gate and sighed that his master had not wished for him to be entangled with Lu Zhaoyao back then, but these past events were ultimately unavoidable.
Lu Zhaoyao ran to Jiangzhou City, set up a stall in public to donate clothes and do good deeds, which caught Jiang Wu's attention. Jiang Wu was very interested in Lu Zhaoyao. Jiang Wu acted domineeringly, apprehending many passing commoners to donate clothes, which made Lu Zhaoyao very interested.
After Jiang Wu left, the commoners discussed spiritedly, all saying that Jiang Wu acted as ruthless as Lu Zhaoyao, which made Lu Zhaoyao pay more attention to him. Lady Changyu deliberately revealed the matter of Qin Zhiyan joining Wanlu Gate to Liu Wei, intending to provoke conflict between him and Wanlu Gate.
