Lin Ziyu used Qin Zhiyan as a hostage, demanding Lu Zhaoyao hand over the Liuhe Sword, and then also captured her. Lin Ziyu, in collaboration with Yuan Jie, brought Qin Zhiyan and Lu Zhaoyao to the main hall, accusing them of impersonating others and attempting illicit deeds. Lu Zhaoyao explained to everyone that she and Qin Zhiyan were twins, and both were Qin Zhiyan, but she couldn't gain their trust.

Lin Ziyu had long been dissatisfied with Lu Zhaoyao for causing Li Chenlan to be injured. Now that she had leverage, she naturally wouldn't let it go, publicly stating that she would punish Lu Zhaoyao and Qin Zhiyan according to the rules of Wanlu Sect. Yuan Jie spoke in Lin Ziyu's favor, inciting the crowd to punish Lu Zhaoyao and Qin Zhiyan. Fortunately, at the critical moment, Li Chenlan heard Lu Zhaoyao's inner voice and rushed to the main hall.

Yuan Jie clamored to punish Lu Zhaoyao, citing the sect rules. Li Chenlan couldn't stop him, so he declared himself Lu Zhaoyao's master, vowing to bear all her mistakes. Yuan Jie seized the opportunity of Li Chenlan's injury to provoke him over the matter of Lu Zhaoyao and Qin Zhiyan. To quell the matter, Li Chenlan had no choice but to agree to endure three strikes from Yuan Jie, as an apology for Qin Zhiyan and Lu Zhaoyao.

Lin Ziyu had initially only intended to punish Lu Zhaoyao, with no intention of harming Li Chenlan. Seeing Yuan Jie truly about to strike Li Chenlan, she became very anxious. Li Chenlan stopped Lin Ziyu, declaring that it was his own will to let Yuan Jie strike him three times. Only then did no one dare to speak. Yuan Jie deliberately struck hard, testing and confirming that Li Chenlan was indeed severely injured.

Now he no longer needed to hold back, his intention to kill Li Chenlan revealed. In front of Lu Zhaoyao, Yuan Jie mocked Li Chenlan, saying that without the Wanjun Sword, he was nothing, which didn't align with Lu Zhaoyao's original intention for establishing the Wanlu Sect. Lu Zhaoyao connected this to Qin Zhiyan's previous injury and publicly stated her suspicion: Yuan Jie had long colluded with the sects to harm Qin Zhiyan. Seeing his plot exposed and no one trusting him, Yuan Jie simply revealed his true colors and publicly ambushed Li Chenlan. Just as Yuan Jie was about to succeed, Li Chenlan was suddenly possessed by demonic energy and severely wounded Yuan Jie. Controlled by demonic energy, Li Chenlan's eyes turned blood red.

He initially wanted to kill Yuan Jie directly, but hearing Yuan Jie's words, each expressing loyalty to Lu Zhaoyao, Li Chenlan ultimately couldn't bring himself to do it because of Lu Zhaoyao. He regained his sanity, instructing Lin Ziyu to imprison Yuan Jie and ordering all his disciples to leave the mountain. Lin Ziyu took Yuan Jie away, but Yuan Jie mocked her, saying her loyalty to Li Chenlan was futile, infuriating Lin Ziyu.

After everyone left, Lu Zhaoyao asked Li Chenlan why he had concealed the fact that he already knew she was impersonating Qin Zhiyan. Enduring the pain, Li Chenlan told Lu Zhaoyao that his heart couldn't help but be drawn to her, deeply moving Lu Zhaoyao. Liu Suruo secretly contacted Jiang Wu. Both wanted to deal with Qin Qianxian, and they immediately hit it off. Lu Zhaoyao returned to her room with a heavy heart.

Seeing this, Qin Zhiyan quickly asked about Li Chenlan. Lu Zhaoyao told Qin Zhiyan that Yuan Jie's rebellion was a spur-of-the-moment decision. He wanted to kill Li Chenlan while he was severely injured, but he was stopped by the Wanjun Sword, and with his intentions exposed, he had no choice but to rebel. Qin Zhiyan saw that Lu Zhaoyao was deliberately ignoring Li Chenlan's affection for her, consciously avoiding emotional issues.

Qin Zhiyan enlightened Lu Zhaoyao, explaining that Li Chenlan didn't love her face, but the real Lu Zhaoyao behind the face. Since being deceived by Luo Mingxuan, Lu Zhaoyao had closed off her heart. It wasn't that she didn't believe in Li Chenlan's kindness towards her, but that she didn't want to be hurt again. Seeing this, Qin Zhiyan felt very sorry for Lu Zhaoyao.

She comforted Lu Zhaoyao, telling her that both she and Li Chenlan truly cared for her and that she shouldn't underestimate herself. Li Chenlan revoked Lin Ziyu's position and appointed Da to replace her as the leader of the Dark Guards. Although Lin Ziyu was unwilling, she could only accept it. News of Liu Suruo convening the Immortal Sects Meeting quickly spread throughout the martial world.

After receiving the information, Li Chenlan speculated that the meeting was related to resurrecting Luo Mingxuan. Luo Mingxuan was Lu Zhaoyao's unresolved issue. Li Chenlan knew that Lu Zhaoyao didn't want Luo Mingxuan to awaken, and he couldn't just sit by and watch either. Jiang Wu sent a carrier pigeon message to Lu Zhaoyao, explaining his intention to help her break the Devil Slayer Formation. Li Chenlan rushed over.

Seeing Lu Zhaoyao exchanging letters with Jiang Wu, he angrily killed the messenger bird on the spot and left with a cold expression. Qin Zhiyan saw Li Chenlan's furious appearance and quipped that he looked like he was catching an adulterer, which made Lu Zhaoyao uneasy. Lu Zhaoyao secretly visited Li Chenlan. She mused that she should have originally liked someone with a personality like Jiang Wu's, yet she had fallen for Li Chenlan.

Lu Zhaoyao leaned close to Li Chenlan, intending to examine his face, but accidentally kissed him. Both were extremely embarrassed. Lu Zhaoyao thought Li Chenlan couldn't see her and immediately ran out in fright. Li Chenlan was also very surprised, not expecting Lu Zhaoyao still liked him. The more he thought about it, the sweeter it felt, and his face unconsciously flushed. Lu Zhaoyao learned about Liu Suruo convening the Immortal Sects Meeting from Wanlu Sect members.
