Yue Jinzhao was astonished that Bian Luohuan looked exactly like him. Ju Shifang, who arrived subsequently, and Ming Xiu also noticed Bian Luohuan's appearance. Gao Xiao reported to Lord Sheng Xuan that in order to deal with Yue Qi and the others, he had used Illusory Form Incense on them, causing them to become enemies with the Central Martial Alliance.

Yue Jinzhao planned to use the crystal to lure out the culprit. He and Yue Qi found Granny Shi, the village manager, to inquire about finding the two of them three years ago. Yue Jinzhao learned from Granny Shi that Uncle Lin Yuan, who found them back then, had appeared in the mine. When Jinzhao inquired about the crystal, Granny Shi avoided talking about it.

This made the two of them suspect that the village was colluding with the Qiyuan Sect. Xian Qing detected demonic energy in the village. Jinzhao and Yue Qi pursued it and unexpectedly found Uncle Lin Yuan. The two of them inquired about the details of finding them three years ago, but did not get more clues from Uncle Lin Yuan. Jinzhao discovered a similar scale pendant on the departing Uncle Lin Yuan.

When Xian Qing returned in the evening, he smelled lingering demonic energy on Yue Qi and Jinzhao and found that this demonic energy resembled Shuo Xuan's aura. Jinzhao connected this with the scale pendants on the two individuals and speculated that the two were in cahoots. Thinking that both Uncle Lin Yuan and Shuo Xuan had saved them, Jinzhao speculated that they knew about his and Yue Qi's origins. Xian Qing told everyone the information he had obtained.

He followed Granny Shi and discovered the person behind it, learning that the crystal was originally called Dragon Crystal, and that the person behind it wanted to lure them to the mine. Afterward, Granny Shi also found Yue Qi, gave her the map for mining the Dragon Crystals, and told them to go and take a look there tomorrow.
