While Ling Lingqi was waiting for the bus, she received a call from Qianqian, who told her she wanted to re-apply to Hua Plus. It turned out that although Bo Hai had fired Qianqian, he had helped her family, which made Qianqian realize that Bo Hai was a good boss. Ling Lingqi found this somewhat unbelievable. Inside Hua Plus, Zhou Xinyan questioned Bo Hai if he was intentionally cultivating Ling Lingqi.
Bo Hai did not answer; instead, he compared Ling Lingqi to a Phalaenopsis orchid, saying that she had shining qualities worth cultivating. Zhou Xinyan did not accept this explanation. She believed Bo Hai had other intentions towards Ling Lingqi. Zhou Xinyan was sulking alone, and Chen Mo thoughtfully prepared candies for her to cheer her up.
Ling Lingqi was expressing her conflicted views about Bo Hai to Mo Nan and Lu Baoni, almost revealing Bo Hai's use of a ghost designer, but she managed to stop herself in time and change the subject. However, after this incident, Ling Lingqi's desire to become a florist grew stronger. Ling Lingqi told her parents that the convenience store was saved.
Ling Mama saw through Bo Hai's outwardly cold but inwardly warm personality and urged Ling Lingqi to win him over. Mo Nan met with Wen Guangqi's subordinate. He believed that Bo Hai must have an unspeakable secret and that he must unearth it. Furthermore, Mo Nan warned Wen Guangqi that they were not allowed to involve Ling Lingqi.
The next day, Mo Nan overheard colleagues discussing that Bo Hai's home had no kitchen and that he had once fired an employee who smoked in front of him, which made Mo Nan very puzzled. Meanwhile, Lu Baoni, infatuated, hid behind the flowers, staring at Mo Nan. When Ling Lingqi saw her, Lu Baoni immediately denied her little crush on Mo Nan.
Ling Lingqi held the mint osmanthus cake she had made, hesitating whether to give it to Bo Hai to express her gratitude. Seeing her indecisive, Chen Mo immediately pushed Ling Lingqi into Bo Hai's office. Ling Lingqi put down the pastry and left. After Ling Lingqi left, Bo Hai took out the pastry and ate it heartily.
Ling Lingqi then suddenly re-entered and mischievously told Bo Hai that the mint in the pastry was actually toothpaste, leaving Bo Hai wanting to cry. The flowers that the Worry-Free Flower Shop sent to Ling Lingqi were wilting, so Ling Lingqi entrusted Xiao Yi to turn the bouquet into dried flowers, which Chen Mo happened to see. Chen Mo immediately understood Bo Hai's unusual feelings for Ling Lingqi and teased Bo Hai, feigning ignorance.
The International Floral Art Competition was about to be held in China, and everyone was discussing it. Mo Nan once again heard colleagues talking about Bo Hai never participating in competitions, which he found very suspicious, so he had Wen Guangqi force Bo Hai to participate.
Soon after, Wen Guangqi went to the large client the company had recently finalized a deal with and successfully portrayed Bo Hai as a floral art master with no real skill, who only achieved fame through hype. A client familiar with Su Cheng came to Hua Plus, specifically asking for Ling Lingqi to do a design, but Zhou Xinyan turned them away. Ling Lingqi was somewhat annoyed.
So Ling Lingqi went to Bo Hai's office and indirectly asked Bo Hai if she could become a florist. Bo Hai, however, brought up her embarrassing history of failing the exam three times and Ling Lingqi's infatuated past with him. Ling Lingqi directly stated that she no longer had any feelings for Bo Hai.
Bo Hai stood up abruptly, turned Ling Lingqi's body towards him, and slowly leaned closer to Ling Lingqi, staging a dramatic "domineering CEO falls in love with me" scene in the office. However, Ling Lingqi couldn't withstand the test; facing her former idol, she puckered her lips, ready to kiss him. Bo Hai stopped himself just as they were about to touch.
He told Ling Lingqi that if she didn't focus her mind on floral art, it would be absolutely impossible for her to become a florist. What seemed like sarcasm towards Ling Lingqi actually revealed his desire for her to succeed. Bo Hai and Chen Mo met with Mr. Zhang, the major client they had recently finalized a deal with.
They thought they could sign the contract directly, but Mr. Zhang changed his tone, stating that Bo Hai did not have true ability. Mr. Zhang decided to award the order as a prize to the first-place winner of the floral art competition, forcing Bo Hai to participate. Zhou Xinyan and Chen Mo were very worried after hearing this, but Bo Hai saw through it, realizing that Chuangxiang was behind it, causing Mr. Zhang to change his mind.
However, precisely because Chuangxiang was suspicious of Bo Hai, he had no choice but to go. The company was abuzz with discussions about Bo Hai participating in the competition. Lu Baoni also pleaded with Mo Nan, hoping he could take her to witness Bo Hai's charm. Ling Lingqi knew that as an assistant, she couldn't escape the fate of going with Bo Hai, so after receiving Bo Hai's command, she haughtily declared that she was too tired and needed rest.
