He admitted that while the idealized image of her in his mind had subtly changed, the real Jian Bing—with her imperfect marriage, stubborn temper, and harsh attitude towards work—felt more authentic and vivid to him. He then pledged to work diligently and earn money to become someone who could match her both mentally and materially. Jian Bing was taken aback by Sheng Yang's sudden and intense confession.
She gently cut him off, explaining that they were not suitable, particularly given their ten-year age difference and his lack of relationship experience.
