Yao Zhiming rushed Chen Shuzhen to the hospital and immediately called Mai Chenghuan. She dropped everything and hurried there. After emergency treatment, Chen Shuzhen was out of danger. Mai Chenghuan regretted keeping her up late the night before. But Chen Shuzhen comforted her instead. When Mai Chenghuan went to get medicine, Chen Shuzhen took the chance to ask Yao about his and Zhang Peisheng’s plan for the Xing’anli Hotel. Yao admitted it was the reason he returned to China.

Seeing her hesitation, he didn’t push further. Mai Chengzao accompanied his parents to visit Chen Shuzhen at the hospital. He went downstairs to pick them up. Liu Wanyu noticed that Mai Chenghuan was limping but didn’t want to ask directly, so she asked Mai Laitian to find out. Mai Chenghuan claimed she just twisted her ankle. Seeing Mai Laitian, Liu Wanyu, and Mai Chengzao made Chen Shuzhen very happy.

When asked about the house renovations, Mai Laitian stammered, unsure how to respond. Liu Wanyu took the opportunity to vent her frustrations. Mai Chenghuan wanted to rent a place for them, but Chen Shuzhen offered her own garden house instead. Reluctantly, Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian accepted. Chen Shuzhen’s house was spacious and bright, and Liu Wanyu was delighted. But Mai Chenghuan, worried about Chen, handed them the keys and returned to the hospital. Dissatisfied, Liu Wanyu complained to Mai Laitian, who gently comforted her and suggested inviting Chen Shuzhen over for dinner—then Mai Chenghuan would naturally come along too. Mai Chenghuan rushed to the hospital to relieve Yao Zhiming.

Chen Shuzhen explained that the house was once her wedding home with Yao’s grandfather and held many unhappy memories, which was why she never wanted to live there again. She encouraged Mai to reconcile with Liu Wanyu. Mai then shared a promo video she had made for Maomao with Chen, who expressed interest in learning how to film videos. Mai promised to teach her the next day.

Chen Shuzhen reviewed the proposal Zhang Peisheng had brought and disagreed with including Xing’anli under Botticelli. She had poured years of effort into managing it and had developed a familial bond with her staff. Yao Zhiming promised to retain all the hotel employees, which reassured her a little. She wanted to wear a qipao and go home gracefully. Mai Chenghuan and Mai Chengzao joined Maomao’s livestream. Maomao planned to expose all the evidence of Song Huaimin’s plagiarism.

Concerned, Mai Chenghuan and Mai Chengzao thought it was risky, since Song had millions of followers and would retaliate. Maomao decided to reveal the evidence bit by bit. Chen Shuzhen watched the livestream and, under Yao Zhiming’s guidance, sent Maomao a gift. Mai Chengzao was going back to have dinner with Chen Shuzhen, so he left Maomao to continue the livestream on her own.

Yao Zhiming wanted to gift a qipao to Chen Shuzhen, so Mai Chenghuan took him to the most renowned tailor in Shanghai. They carefully selected the fabric and style. Yao was impressed by how well Mai understood Chen Shuzhen and felt inferior in comparison. Maomao’s ears got infected from trying on too many earrings, and Mai Chengzao disinfected them for her. When Maomao casually touched his earlobe, he blushed. Today was the day Chen Shuzhen was discharged.

Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian decided to bring her home directly. Mai Chenghuan also returned home with her. As requested by Mai Chenghuan, Mai Laitian ordered a bouquet of roses for Chen Shuzhen and brought it with him to pick her up. Just after finishing a meeting with her lawyer, Chen Shuzhen was ready to go.

Mai Laitian wanted to bring her home, but she was used to living alone and asked Yao Zhiming to take her back to the senior center. She also invited Mai Laitian, Liu Wanyu, and Mai Chengzao to dinner at the Xing’anli Hotel that evening. Chen Shuzhen called Mai Chenghuan and told her she had ordered her favorite crab roe buns. Mai Chenghuan also had a mystery gift prepared for her, which made Chen Shuzhen very excited.
