Professor Jiang advised Gu Weiyi to take care of his affairs, and Gu Weiyi, unsure if Si Tu Mo would be upset about him not telling her about his upcoming trip abroad, asked Xie Yu Yin for her opinion. Si Tu Mo arrived at that moment to see Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi still hesitated to mention the trip and instead suggested taking her to see his lab.

In the lab, Si Tu Mo was highly curious, asking about other students and why they returned to the old lab. Gu Weiyi explained that their new project required the specific environment of the older facility. She then asked him to take off his white coat so she could try it on, playfully commanding him to fetch "nitroglycerin," a word she thought sounded professional.

Gu Weiyi, after some hesitation, finally revealed that he had qualified to join Professor Jiang, Lu Jian Shi, and Xie Yu Yin for an exchange program at Heidelberg University in Germany. Si Tu Mo was astonished to learn that the invitation came at the end of last year and that he was only telling her now, especially since the trip was for more than six months and visas were being fast-tracked for a departure in two weeks.

Gu Weiyi attempted to explain, saying he wasn't sure he'd qualify and had been busy with their relationship. Si Tu Mo, feeling that he implied she was a distraction, grew angry and walked away, telling him not to follow her. That evening, the two dorms had a celebratory dinner, but Si Tu Mo was still furious and ignored Gu Weiyi. While everyone else enjoyed themselves, a tension lingered between the couple.

Fu Pei and Fatty drank too much, causing a noisy commotion. Wang Shan, with a single reprimand, made Fu Pei obediently quiet down. Gu Weiyi observed this interaction intently. On the way home, he pretended to be heavily intoxicated and collapsed onto Si Tu Mo. Though she suspected he was faking, Si Tu Mo didn't press the issue until they were home.

When Gu Weiyi continued his drunken act to gain her forgiveness, Si Tu Mo sternly exposed his pretense and demanded an explanation for why he hadn't told her about his trip to Germany with Xie Yu Yin. Gu Weiyi acknowledged his oversight, explaining that he had always made his own decisions and simply informed his parents afterward, as they didn't understand his work. However, he promised to change if she disliked this method.

Seeing his sincere attitude, Si Tu Mo's anger began to subside. Gu Weiyi genuinely asked if she didn't want him to go, he wouldn't, but Si Tu Mo assured him she wouldn't hinder his future and would wait for his return. The next day, Si Tu Mo took Gu Weiyi to the hospital for a physical examination, blood drawing, and vaccinations. Gu Weiyi was terrified of needles and wore sunglasses, claiming he didn't want to see the color of blood.

Si Tu Mo patiently encouraged him. The first vaccine shot was quick, but the second, administered by a trainee nurse, was painful and continued to bleed afterward. Si Tu Mo, concerned, went to get cotton for him. While she was gone, Gu Weiyi received a call from Si Tu Mo's mother.

She warned him that Si Tu Mo's way of dealing with reluctance was peculiar: first, she would find fault incessantly, then become cold and pretend he didn't exist, and finally, become extremely clingy, like "super glue." These behaviors were soon manifested by Si Tu Mo. She began picking at minor things like his cup leaving marks, then acted distant, before tearfully pleading with him to take her along to Germany.

She emotionally argued that he couldn't go alone to drink German beer, fearing something would happen to him if she wasn't there. Her pitiful demeanor touched Gu Weiyi deeply, and he embraced and comforted her. At the airport, Si Tu Mo employed various tactics to prolong their time together, suggesting they go to KFC or eat ramen. Gu Weiyi eventually had to leave but held Si Tu Mo tightly, worried if she could truly manage on her own.

Si Tu Mo, trying to appear strong, suddenly turned and walked away. Six months later, Si Tu Mo and Jie Er confronted Director Sha Sha at their company regarding their artwork not being credited under their names. The director, accusing them of having a difficult attitude, implied they were no longer suitable for the company.

Si Tu Mo, having endured unfair treatment and the company's practice of plagiarizing others' works, resigned, stating she didn't want her career to be controlled by someone like the director. Jie Er, inspired, also resigned. Meanwhile, Fu Pei had established his own company, but his only employee, Chen Xiao Xi, left after two months of unpaid wages.

Wang Shan, exasperated, urged Fu Pei to resolve the financial issues, including paying Chen Xiao Xi and hiring a proper accountant, rather than relying on her for calculations. Fu Pei promised to address everything. Si Tu Mo returned home, where her mother constantly questioned her sudden resignation. Feeling unwell with a cold, jobless, and missing Gu Weiyi, Si Tu Mo's mood was low. She video-called Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi had asked Si Tu Mo's mother to care for her.

Her mother brought her walnut soup, effective for colds according to her grandmother, and subtly probed about Si Tu Mo's German visa, which had only been approved after Gu Weiyi helped her prepare a detailed travel plan following an earlier rejection due to suspected immigration intent. She then inquired when Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi planned to marry.

Si Tu Mo avoided the marriage question, but her mother persisted, expressing worry that Gu Weiyi might change his mind while in Germany. Si Tu Mo retreated to her room to continue her video call with Gu Weiyi. He sensed her unhappiness, but she didn't reveal her true feelings. In Germany, Gu Weiyi was indeed being harassed by Anna, Professor's daughter, who offered to be his girlfriend there, despite him mentioning his girlfriend in China.

His roommate, witnessing Gu Weiyi's lack of interest, openly displayed affection with his own girlfriend and couldn't comprehend Gu Weiyi's detached attitude. Gu Weiyi, feeling annoyed, revealed that he had already bought a ticket to return home. Meanwhile, Lin Zhi Cun, visiting Si Tu Mo's former advertising company, overheard news of her resignation, looking thoughtful. Since resigning, Si Tu Mo stayed home.

While replacing the battery of "Circle," a robot, she accidentally discovered a "military pledge" note Gu Weiyi had secretly taped under the table. It was a promise he made to persuade her to live with him. Overjoyed, Si Tu Mo immediately began packing to go to Germany. Her mother initially tried to stop her, but upon learning Si Tu Mo intended to "force him to marry me," she enthusiastically helped her pack.

Si Tu Mo didn't inform Gu Weiyi of her spontaneous trip, wanting to surprise him. In Germany, Gu Weiyi, having been unable to contact Si Tu Mo for a day, frantically called Fu Pei at 2 AM Beijing time to inquire about her. Upon returning to his room, he was shocked to find someone in his bed. His roommate casually mentioned it was his girlfriend, leaving Gu Weiyi stunned.

He whispered "Si Tu Mo," and she pulled back the covers, revealing her face. Overwhelmed with emotion, Gu Weiyi simply watched her sleep, then quietly lay down beside her. The next morning, Gu Weiyi's mother called, also inquiring about his and Si Tu Mo's marriage plans. Gu Weiyi assured her that everything was "in planning." He then softly asked the still sleeping Si Tu Mo if she was there to "force him to marry." Si Tu Mo sleepily affirmed.

Gu Weiyi then whispered that he had already bought a ticket to return to China to propose to her, though Si Tu Mo, still half-asleep, did not hear this part. He prepared breakfast, and Si Tu Mo slowly woke up, adjusting to the time difference.
