Gu Weiyi carefully covered Si Tu Mo with a blanket while she slept peacefully by his side. The next morning, he discovered she had shifted to sleep on his leg. Before either of them could fully react, they heard the voices of their mothers, then their fathers, outside the door, wondering aloud why they would be up so early. Thinking quickly to avoid any misunderstanding, Gu Weiyi crawled across the floor to Si Tu Mo’s room.
Moments later, they simultaneously opened their respective doors to face their parents. However, their parents were suspicious, quickly noticing that they had swapped rooms and deducing that their relationship had significantly progressed. Mr. Gu was concerned about propriety, stating it was his fault for not guiding his child properly and vowing to give Si Tu Mo's family a satisfactory answer. Mrs. Gu, however, was delighted, laughing that it was not a bad thing for children to be in love.
She expressed her surprise at how close they had become, even suggesting they should have arranged a childhood betrothal. Mrs. Si Tu, also known as Wen Jun, eagerly agreed, suggesting they check an almanac for an auspicious wedding date. She even offered their existing house as a wedding home and suggested buying them a car. While the mothers chatted enthusiastically about marriage plans, Gu Weiyi became increasingly uncomfortable.
When asked his opinion, he stated that they were adults and could plan their own future. When pressed directly about when they would marry, Gu Weiyi responded that it was "not our plan at the moment." This statement left Si Tu Mo feeling a little disappointed. Later, Si Tu Mo quietly asked Gu Weiyi if they would eventually marry. He gently told her not to overthink it, and she nodded, reassured.
On their way home, Si Tu Mo's parents discussed Gu Weiyi's response. Wen Jun, her mother, was quite satisfied, interpreting his answer as a scientist's precise, time-bound thinking. Back at the university, Gu Weiyi found Zhou Lei sleeping in the lab, intensely studying for the upcoming exam that would determine who got a spot in a Germany exchange program. Zhou Lei, taking a "cross-professional" exam, eagerly asked Gu Weiyi for his detailed notes on quantum mechanics, confident he would surpass him. Elsewhere, Fu Pei kicked his roommate out of their dorm so he and Wang Shan could check their exam results.
Wang Shan excitedly announced she had passed her graduate exam with an impressive score, declaring herself a "studybug." Fu Pei also celebrated passing CET-4, and they shared a celebratory kiss. In the lab, Senior Lu Jian Shi announced that Professor Jiang had taken the kitten to the pet clinic, so students could leave early if their tasks were done.
Zhou Lei, still anxious about his exam, tried to get help from Senior Lu and Xie Yu Yin, but both were busy. He then turned to Gu Weiyi, who told him he was going to pick up Si Tu Mo. Zhou Lei's girlfriend called, confirming he too had passed his exam, which he celebrated with her. Later, in the library, Gu Weiyi was studying.
Senior Lu Jian Shi approached him and discreetly mentioned that the upcoming exam contained many calculation-heavy questions, which she felt was unfair to him. Zhou Lei then found Gu Weiyi and pressed him for extensive help with his notes, claiming they were "exploring and making progress together." Senior Lu, observing this, soon left. Gu Weiyi eventually told Zhou Lei he needed to leave to pick up Si Tu Mo.
Zhou Lei tried to dissuade him, scoffing that Si Tu Mo had legs and didn't need picking up, calling Gu Weiyi "dates before mates." Gu Weiyi, undeterred, promised to organize notes for Zhou Lei later. Si Tu Mo then called, informing him she was still busy at the photography studio. Gu Weiyi agreed to pick her up in an hour, and Zhou Lei, still insistent, pulled him back to continue studying.
At the photoshoot, Si Tu Mo was approached by a young fan of Lin Zhi Cun. The fan, eager for a study motivation ahead of her university entrance exam, asked Si Tu Mo to record Lin Zhi Cun's "wake-up voice." Si Tu Mo, despite her initial hesitation, agreed. Later, she accidentally bumped into the famous actress Zhao Xue Yu.
Si Tu Mo confided in Lin Zhi Cun that Zhao Xue Yu was acting like a "boss," constantly ordering people around and deliberately causing trouble, wasting much of the shooting time due to a previous "fake accident." Frustrated, Si Tu Mo finally suggested Zhao Xue Yu ask her own assistant. When Zhao Xue Yu challenged Si Tu Mo, asking if she knew who she was, Si Tu Mo cheekily replied she had "Baidu-ed" her and she had two more pages of news than Lin Zhi Cun, implying Lin Zhi Cun was more popular, which infuriated Zhao Xue Yu.
Lin Zhi Cun then confronted Zhao Xue Yu, warning her that her "big-headed" antics and mistreatment of staff could become a negative headline and ruin her recently revitalized career. Zhao Xue Yu, enraged, threatened to expose his "affair" but Lin Zhi Cun challenged her to provide proof, further frustrating her.
Meanwhile, Fu Pei received a call from his father, who informed him of an upcoming business trip and his intention to arrange a blind date for him with a "well-matched" girl from a "literary family" who had a PhD. Fu Pei sarcastically commented on the notion of such a match, given his own family’s 'parvenu' status. Despite having Wang Shan as his girlfriend, Fu Pei reluctantly agreed to the blind date to appease his father, much to Wang Shan's discomfort.
After the photoshoot wrapped, the director invited everyone to dinner. Zhao Xue Yu insisted Si Tu Mo join them, claiming it was an apology. Si Tu Mo initially declined, explaining Gu Weiyi was picking her up, but Zhao Xue Yu made it an issue of "giving face," so Si Tu Mo relented and called Gu Weiyi to update him and arrange a pickup in an hour.
At the dinner, Zhao Xue Yu repeatedly forced Si Tu Mo to drink, secretly pointing out a hidden camera on the table to Lin Zhi Cun. As Si Tu Mo became increasingly intoxicated, Zhao Xue Yu suggested Lin Zhi Cun take her home, clearly attempting to create a scandal. At that precise moment, Gu Weiyi arrived.
Lin Zhi Cun, upon seeing Gu Weiyi, mockingly introduced himself as Si Tu Mo's boyfriend, then challenged Gu Weiyi to prove his own relationship with Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi, without hesitation, picked up the heavily intoxicated Si Tu Mo. To satisfy Lin Zhi Cun and the curious onlookers, he asked Si Tu Mo, "Who's Circle's dad?" Si Tu Mo, in her drunken state, pointed at Gu Weiyi. He then asked, "Who's Circle's mom?" and she pointed at herself.
This public display left the onlookers bewildered, wondering if the young couple already had a child. Gu Weiyi confidently carried Si Tu Mo out. Outside, Si Tu Mo felt nauseous and asked Gu Weiyi to help her vomit, even comically asking him to hit her back. She kept calling out for "Circle." Gu Weiyi patiently supported her, holding her hair and gently patting her back. He then hoisted her onto his back to carry her home.
As they walked, a tipsy Si Tu Mo playfully blew air into Gu Weiyi's ear, causing him to freeze for a moment, his heart stirred by her unexpected and affectionate gesture before continuing their journey home.
