Put Your Head on My Shoulder Episode 16 Recap
> Put Your Head on My Shoulder Recap
Situ Mo stood outside the dressing room, where Lin Zhi Cun’s manager was scolding him. The manager questioned his attitude towards the director and remarked that people might mistakenly think he was a popular superstar. She then disparaged Situ Mo, highlighting that she was just an intern. Lin Zhi Cun, however, defended Situ Mo, asking what was wrong with being an intern. After his styling, Lin Zhi Cun began shooting the commercial. Situ Mo provided him with the script.
The director explained that Lin Zhi Cun was to play a brilliant hacker, exhausted from constant computer intrusions, who would regain his energy after drinking "Chao Wei Orange Juice," enabling him to hack alien computers and avert a large-scale alien attack on Earth, thereby saving humanity. Despite the grand concept, Lin Zhi Cun found the shoot tedious and secretly typed "I'm so bored" on a prop computer.
During a break, Situ Mo was about to sit on a prop equipment box to eat her lunch when Lin Zhi Cun stopped her, explaining that it was against industry rules. He suggested she could sit on the floor if she preferred. Situ Mo clarified that it was her first time working on such a set, and she was unaware of the regulations. She then sat down with him.
Lin Zhi Cun confided that he was avoiding his manager, Linda, and was trying to lose weight, despite Situ Mo thinking he looked too thin already. Suddenly, Lin Zhi Cun's phone alarm rang during filming. Situ Mo quickly ran to turn it off and took the opportunity to reply to Gu Weiyi's message. At home, Gu Weiyi was delighted to receive her reply. He initially wanted to text "I'm thinking of you" but found it too cliché.
He then considered offering assistance with her work but decided that was too subtle. Finally, he simply asked if she needed anything delivered. Situ Mo remembered an envelope on her desk and asked him to bring it. Gu Weiyi arrived at the studio entrance with the envelope, noting it was addressed to "Lin Zhi Cun's wife." While he waited, Linda, an artist agent director from Shuang Jie Film, approached him, impressed by his appearance.
She offered him her business card and asked if he was interested in becoming an artist, but Gu Weiyi politely declined. When Situ Mo finally came out, she was so tired she fell asleep on his shoulder. Gu Weiyi gently allowed her to rest. Soon after, Situ Mo had to rush back to the set because Lin Zhi Cun’s costume didn’t fit, and there were no other options.
Without much explanation, she quickly took off Gu Weiyi’s jacket, stuffing the envelope into its pocket, and gave the jacket to Lin Zhi Cun. Lin Zhi Cun’s manager complained that Gu Weiyi’s jacket was too plain, but Situ Mo quietly remarked that Gu Weiyi looked handsome wearing it. As Lin Zhi Cun, now in Gu Weiyi’s jacket, walked past him on his way to the restroom, Gu Weiyi glared with jealousy.
Seeing Gu Weiyi standing in the cold, Situ Mo borrowed Lin Zhi Cun's own jacket and brought it to him. She tenderly cupped his face, telling him, "I'm going to make money, be a good boy, and don't fight with other kids." Her sweetness made Gu Weiyi forget his jealousy. The ad shoot concluded swiftly. However, Lin Zhi Cun discovered the envelope in the jacket pocket, believing it to be a personal note from Situ Mo.
With self-absorbed charm, he signed it for her. Situ Mo quickly urged him to change so she could return Gu Weiyi's jacket. As Lin Zhi Cun and Situ Mo exchanged WeChat contacts, Gu Weiyi watched, a hint of jealousy returning to his eyes. Once work was fully wrapped, Situ Mo happily linked arms with Gu Weiyi, and he proposed a date. They went to a shopping mall.
Gu Weiyi admitted he thought dates were supposed to be at places like libraries or science museums, but Situ Mo was perfectly content to explore the mall. They shared milk tea, each tasting from the other's cup, agreeing that the combined flavors were delightful. Next, they browsed a clothing store. Gu Weiyi looked good in everything he tried on.
When Situ Mo tried on clothes, Gu Weiyi was very particular, rejecting anything that exposed her shoulders or had short pants, only approving an outfit that covered her completely. At the mall, Situ Mo watched children happily playing in a ball pit and wished she could join them. Gu Weiyi asked if she wanted to play, but they couldn't enter as they were neither children nor accompanying parents. After a brief pause, Gu Weiyi found a child named Xiao Jie.
He convinced the boy's grandmother to let them accompany him inside, even showing his wallet and all his IDs to prove his sincerity. They were then allowed in as Xiao Jie’s "parents." They had to wear parent stickers; Gu Weiyi put one on Situ Mo’s back. When it was his turn, she playfully tried to stick it on his chest, and he teased, "Stick it on your face!"
A staff member then humorously called out, "Parents, your child has already gone in!" making both Gu Weiyi and Situ Mo smile. Situ Mo then playfully told him, "Daddy, you should go in." Inside the ball pit, Situ Mo encouraged the children to "bury" Gu Weiyi in balls while she skillfully hid. Gu Weiyi, with keen eyes, quickly found her and playfully pulled her out. They stumbled, and Gu Weiyi fell on top of Situ Mo.
Their eyes locked, and with the children's cheers, Gu Weiyi leaned in and kissed her. Meanwhile, Wang Shan, still upset from her argument with Fu Pei, called friends for comfort, but they were all busy. Disappointed, she checked Fu Pei's social media and saw he was playing basketball, unaware that he was actually trying to get her attention with his post. Later, at the exit of the play area, Situ Mo excitedly printed free photos from a machine.
Gu Weiyi expected them to be photos of the two of them but was surprised to see they were pictures of Situ Mo's cat, Ding Dang. Situ Mo was thrilled with the cat photos, which made Gu Weiyi slightly jealous. She suggested they print a photo of themselves, only to realize she had no joint photos on her phone. Gu Weiyi then printed their selfie from the beach, which Situ Mo immediately claimed as her own.
Gu Weiyi, feigning annoyance, jokingly chided her for not having their photos. For dinner, Gu Weiyi made sure to order all of Situ Mo’s favorite dishes. They played a game of rock-paper-scissors, with the loser having to eat a spicy chili. Gu Weiyi lost several rounds and, reluctant to eat the chili, was dared by Situ Mo to act spoiled. He struggled, even searching his phone for tips.
Finally, he leaned his head on her shoulder and softly murmured, "I don't want to eat." Situ Mo found his effort lacking and demanded an "upgraded" version. He tried again, turning his head away and laughing, but she still wasn't satisfied. With a sigh, he emphasized, "I "really" don't want to eat it!" Situ Mo struggled to hold back her laughter, secretly enjoying his "hardcore" attempt at cuteness.
After their date, they walked home hand-in-hand, happily discussing plans for the evening, like watching a horror movie under a blanket or having some drinks. Upon reaching home, their romantic mood was dashed when they found Wang Shan waiting at their door, an unwelcome third wheel on their private evening. Wang Shan, burdened with complaints, launched into a non-stop monologue, much to Gu Weiyi’s frustration. He repeatedly tried to find excuses to get her to leave, but she remained.
Eventually, a frustrated Gu Weiyi texted Fu Pei to come pick her up, while Situ Mo led Wang Shan to her room to continue their chat, leaving Gu Weiyi even more annoyed.
