Put Your Head on My Shoulder Episode 16 Recap
> Put Your Head on My Shoulder Recap
Si Tu Mo stood outside the makeup room at the studio, feeling speechless as she overheard Miss Linda, Lin Zhi Cun’s agent, make belittling remarks. Miss Linda not only lectured Lin Zhi Cun about his attitude towards the director but also dismissively referred to Si Tu Mo. She told Lin Zhi Cun that if he were a true superstar, the advertising company wouldn't have sent a mere trainee to work with him.
Listening from outside, Si Tu Mo silently thought to herself, "What's wrong with being a trainee?" After finishing his preparations, Lin Zhi Cun began the advertisement shoot. The concept involved him playing a brilliant hacker who, exhausted from his work, regains his vitality after drinking "Chao Wei Orange Juice." Re-energized, he hacks into alien computers and prevents a large-scale attack on Earth. Lin Zhi Cun, visibly bored by the repetitive takes, muttered about his boredom.
Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi sat at home, his thoughts consumed by Si Tu Mo. Back at the studio, Si Tu Mo was having her meal and was about to sit on an equipment box when Lin Zhi Cun stopped her. He explained that sitting on equipment boxes was against industry rules and advised her not to broadcast the fact that she was a trainee. He then invited her to eat with him.
During their meal, Lin Zhi Cun complained about his agent, whom he called "Linda the witch," and his strict diet, dramatically emphasizing that his face had to be perfect for the big screen. Si Tu Mo’s only response was an unintentional burp. The intense shooting schedule resumed after the meal. Suddenly, Lin Zhi Cun’s phone alarm rang. Mortified, Si Tu Mo rushed off the set to turn it off, using the moment to reply to Gu Weiyi’s WeChat message.
Upon seeing her reply, Gu Weiyi smiled. He contemplated his response, dismissing "I'm thinking of you" as too cheesy and an offer to help with her work as too indirect. He finally settled on asking if she had forgotten anything he could bring over. Si Tu Mo remembered an envelope on her desk and asked him to deliver it.
When Gu Weiyi arrived at the studio entrance, he noticed the envelope was addressed: "To my future husband, from Lin Zhi Cun's wife herself." This left him slightly confused. While Gu Weiyi waited, Miss Linda, the artist agent director of S. Jie Ideas Media, approached him with a business card, offering him a chance to become an artist. Gu Weiyi politely declined. Spotting Si Tu Mo, he happily walked over to her, finding her asleep and exhausted from work.
Noticing her shoulder seemed sore, he gently massaged it before letting her lean on his shoulder to rest for ten minutes, a quiet, romantic moment. Soon after, Si Tu Mo was called back to the set. Lin Zhi Cun’s costume was unsuitable, and there was no backup. Miss Linda complained that the outfit was too small and old-fashioned. With no other options, Si Tu Mo asked Gu Weiyi to take off his jacket.
Surprised, Gu Weiyi quickly stuffed the envelope into his pocket before Si Tu Mo took his jacket for Lin Zhi Cun. Miss Linda then criticized Gu Weiyi's jacket for being too plain and lacking design, though Si Tu Mo quietly remarked to herself that Gu Weiyi looked very handsome in it. Lin Zhi Cun announced he was going to the washroom and asked for a cappuccino.
As Lin Zhi Cun, now wearing Gu Weiyi’s jacket, walked past him, Gu Weiyi's expression betrayed a hint of jealousy. Realizing Gu Weiyi was standing in the cold, Si Tu Mo borrowed Lin Zhi Cun’s jacket for him. Cupping Gu Weiyi's face, she sweetly told him, "I'm going to make money. Be a good boy, and don't fight with other kids." Gu Weiyi, momentarily forgetting his jealousy, was filled with warmth.
The shoot wrapped up quickly, but Lin Zhi Cun discovered the envelope in his jacket pocket. Assuming Si Tu Mo was a fan, he narcissistically asked if she thought he looked better in person and offered his autograph, teasing her not to be too moved. Si Tu Mo, however, urgently asked him to change so she could return Gu Weiyi’s jacket.
Impressed by her efficiency, Lin Zhi Cun complimented her capability despite being a trainee and asked to add her on WeChat, proudly stating his ID was "Super Handsome." Gu Weiyi, witnessing this exchange, felt another pang of jealousy. Once work finally ended, Si Tu Mo happily ran out and linked arms with Gu Weiyi, who suggested they go on a date. They went shopping at a mall and bought milk tea.
After trying each other's drinks, Si Tu Mo declared Gu Weiyi’s was nicer. He tasted hers and, finding them similar, playfully poured some of his into her cup, creating a mixture they both agreed was "super nice." Next, they visited a clothing store where Gu Weiyi looked handsome in every outfit he tried. However, when it was Si Tu Mo's turn, he became quite particular, rejecting anything that exposed her shoulders, had pants that were too short, or was sleeveless.
He only approved of an outfit that covered her completely. Continuing through the mall, Si Tu Mo watched children playing in a ball pit with envy. Gu Weiyi asked if she wanted to play, but she pointed out they couldn't enter without being a child or a parent.
Determined to make her happy, Gu Weiyi found a young boy named Xiao Jie and convinced a staff member to let them in as his guardians, even showing his ID-filled wallet as proof of his sincerity. Inside, they were given "parent" stickers. Gu Weiyi stuck one on Si Tu Mo’s back and playfully tried to put another on her face, leading to a lighthearted struggle.
A staff member humorously called out, "Hey parents, your child is already inside," prompting Si Tu Mo to quip to Gu Weiyi, "Daddy, let's go." Meanwhile, Wang Shan, in a cold war with Fu Pei, was desperately seeking comfort from her friends Lu Lu and Niu Niu, but both were busy.
She then saw a picture of Fu Pei playing basketball on his WeChat Moments and grumbled about him not contacting her, unaware that he had posted it specifically to get her attention. Back in the ball pit, Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo were having a blast. Si Tu Mo enthusiastically urged a hesitant Gu Weiyi to join her in the pit, and he soon found himself enjoying it.
She playfully called him a "liar" for pretending he wouldn't have fun, then rallied the other children to bury him in balls. Afterwards, she hid herself in the ball pit. Gu Weiyi quickly spotted her and pulled her out. They stumbled, and Gu Weiyi landed on top of her. As they looked into each other's eyes, hearts pounding, the surrounding children, sensing the romantic moment, playfully nudged them closer, leading to their first kiss.
Still on their date, Si Tu Mo went to a kiosk to print free photos. She proudly showed Gu Weiyi a picture of her robot cat, Si Tu Ding Dang, but he replied unenthusiastically, calling it "not really" cute. Amused, Si Tu Mo called him tasteless and suggested they print a photo of themselves, only to realize they didn't have any on their phones. Gu Weiyi then remembered their beach selfie and printed it.
Si Tu Mo immediately claimed the photo, but he playfully refused to give it to her, saying he would keep it in his wallet, still a bit jealous of her affection for the robot cat. For dinner, Gu Weiyi thoughtfully ordered all of Si Tu Mo's favorite dishes. They played a game of rock-paper-scissors, with the loser having to eat a chili. After losing twice, Gu Weiyi protested that he couldn't handle spicy food.
Si Tu Mo challenged him to act cute instead. Clueless, Gu Weiyi searched "how to coax a woman" on his phone before reluctantly leaning his head on her shoulder and softly saying, "I don't want to eat." Si Tu Mo found it unconvincing. He tried again with a small smile, and when she still wasn't satisfied, he finally whined with more emphasis, "I don't want to eat!" leaving Si Tu Mo struggling to hold back laughter.
After dinner, they walked home hand-in-hand, discussing plans to watch a horror film under a blanket. Their sweet evening was abruptly interrupted when they arrived home and found Wang Shan waiting for them, an unwelcome third wheel. Wang Shan immediately launched into a monologue about her cold war with Fu Pei, complaining about his unresponsiveness.
Anxious to have their private time, Gu Weiyi made several attempts to get her to leave, even suggesting Si Tu Mo take a bath, but Wang Shan continued to talk, oblivious to their desire to be alone.
