Put Your Head on My Shoulder Episode 14 Recap
> Put Your Head on My Shoulder Recap
Situ Mo jokingly mentioned Gu Weiyi had kissed her before, then quickly dismissed it as a joke, telling him not to take it seriously. However, Gu Weiyi was bewildered, unable to recall any such incident. He vaguely remembered getting drunk on her birthday but drew a blank on the events that followed. While brushing his teeth, he continued to ponder, muttering to himself that he simply got drunk, fell asleep, and then it was morning.
Situ Mo, overhearing his attempts to remember, grew increasingly frustrated that he couldn't recall their kiss. Later, as Situ Mo prepared to leave, Gu Weiyi reminded her to check the zipper on the cat's backpack, implying she might forget. This further irritated Situ Mo. In response, she retrieved several cans of beer from the refrigerator and insisted he drink them. Despite his upcoming lab experiments, Gu Weiyi reluctantly complied under her intense gaze.
When he could drink no more, Situ Mo leaned closer, urging him to concentrate and remember. Finally, the memory of kissing her resurfaced. As he leaned in to kiss her again, Situ Mo pushed him away abruptly, leaving both of them flustered. Gu Weiyi nervously continued to drink, while Situ Mo, equally tense, hurried out. In the lab, Gu Weiyi was still preoccupied with the memory of the kiss, absentmindedly stirring chemicals.
Xie Yu Yin observed him, asking why he was doing chemistry experiments, to which he replied he was attempting to make a simple antiseptic. Situ Mo was similarly distracted at work, lost in thoughts of Gu Weiyi. When Jie Er suggested they work on a design proposal, Situ Mo gave a vague response, her mind elsewhere. Meanwhile, Zhou Lei arrived at the lab and immediately inquired about his kitten.
Prof. Jiang scolded him for bringing a cat into the lab and for his consistently low academic performance. Annoyed, Zhou Lei retorted that Prof. Jiang should take the cat himself since neither the lab nor the dorms, managed by Prof. Jiang's wife, allowed pets. Prof. Jiang was left speechless. On the basketball court, Wang Shan subtly asserted her claim over Fu Pei.
With a university equipment check scheduled for the lab, Zhou Lei struggled to find someone to take the kitten for its vaccination. Gu Weiyi had an exam, and a Senior was busy revising a thesis. Zhou Lei even suggested Prof. Jiang was the least busy, but the professor also declined. As a result, Zhou Lei remained distracted by thoughts of his kitten during experiments and was reprimanded by Prof. Jiang once more.
Concurrently, Situ Mo attended a design meeting where the art director expressed dissatisfaction with all proposals except Miss Li Na’s. Miss Li Na then presented a strategy, advising everyone to create a detailed score sheet for the person they like as a starting point for their designs. Inspired, Situ Mo created a detailed score sheet for Gu Weiyi after the meeting. Gu Weiyi remained troubled by his forgotten kiss and Situ Mo's subsequent rejection.
He sought advice from Prof. Jiang and Zhou Lei. Zhou Lei jokingly suggested Gu Weiyi's actions constituted harassment. Prof. Jiang, however, proposed a scientific approach: by hypothesizing three possibilities (Situ Mo likes him, hates him, or is indifferent), they could infer and prove her true feelings. He concluded that Gu Weiyi needed to find a romantic place where Situ Mo couldn't escape to confess to her. With that, Prof. Jiang departed, taking the kitten with him for its vaccination.
Following Prof. Jiang’s advice, Gu Weiyi went to Situ Mo’s company to pick her up. While on a phone call with Miss Li Na, Situ Mo inadvertently dropped her score sheet for Gu Weiyi. He picked it up and was disheartened to discover his score was a negative ten. Gu Weiyi suggested they go for dinner, but Situ Mo declined, stating she wasn't hungry. As they walked, they encountered a kitten.
Hoping to earn some points, Gu Weiyi attempted to hug it, despite his cat allergy, but his efforts were in vain as the cat ran off, and he began to sneeze. Determined to impress her with his intellect, Gu Weiyi called Prof. Jiang and launched into a complex discussion about advanced physics concepts like the topology of flat bands and the interaction of fermions and bosons. Annoyed, Prof. Jiang hung up, claiming the kitten had scratched him.
Unbeknownst to Gu Weiyi, Prof. Jiang was playfully feeding the kitten in his office. Gu Weiyi then led Situ Mo to an amusement park. Situ Mo was initially delighted, but Gu Weiyi's plan for a romantic confession on a bumper car ride was thwarted when they were repeatedly crashed into by other cars, making it impossible for him to speak.
After the bumper car ride, Gu Weiyi tried to find another opportunity to confess, but his plans were interrupted by a call from Prof. Jiang, who reported that the kitten had become unresponsive after its vaccination. Gu Weiyi and Situ Mo rushed to the pet hospital to meet him. Prof. Jiang, visibly distressed, admitted he got anxious when he worried about the kitten.
The veterinarian assured them the kitten was fine, explaining that fever and sleepiness were common reactions to vaccinations. Situ Mo intended to take the kitten home, but Prof. Jiang, having grown deeply fond of it, insisted on keeping it himself. Still trying to score points with Situ Mo, Gu Weiyi decided to try hugging the kitten one last time. Despite his allergy, he attempted to embrace it, but once again, his sneezes gave him away, and he failed.
Situ Mo, witnessing his persistent efforts despite his discomfort, felt a touch of warmth. Upon returning home, their robot vacuum, Circle, indicated a low battery and was about to power off. Situ Mo noticed Gu Weiyi’s unusual behavior and asked why he wasn't charging Circle. He surprisingly stated it needed to learn to be independent. Soon after, he unexpectedly announced his intention to clear a clogged drain.
After successfully fixing the drain, he offered to order Situ Mo some takeout, but found her fast asleep. Gu Weiyi gently carried Situ Mo to her bed. His arm became trapped beneath her as she slept, and he remained there, captivated by her peaceful face. The next morning, Gu Weiyi left early and returned with Situ Mo’s favorite Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle. Although he personally disliked the pungent smell, he prepared it for her, pinching his nose.
Situ Mo was overjoyed. As she ate, Gu Weiyi watched her. She expressed discomfort at him watching her, but he insisted on staying to wash the dishes afterward. Situ Mo then looked up at him and directly asked, "Gu Weiyi, do you like me?" In a scene shortly after, Gu Weiyi calls Fu Pei for advice. Fu Pei inquired why he chose the bumper cars for his confession.
Gu Weiyi explained he found the amusement park romantic and thought the bumper car ride would force Situ Mo to listen to him. Fu Pei countered, suggesting that a ferris wheel would have achieved the same effect. Gu Weiyi then revealed he had found a score sheet where Situ Mo had given him a negative ten points.
Fu Pei, shocked by such a low score, advised Gu Weiyi to earn more points before attempting another confession, reminding him that a "studybug" like him should never fight an unprepared battle.
