Professor Jiang, worried about Gu Weiyi's lack of progress in pursuing Situ Mo, questioned him about the effectiveness of a dating book he had provided. Gu Weiyi admitted that his attempts, using both the most logical and illogical methods, had so far been unsuccessful. Their conversation was interrupted by Zhou Lei, who burst in, accusing Professor Jiang of secretly giving Gu Weiyi special tutoring.

Zhou Lei loudly complained about Gu Weiyi's excellence in experiments and calculations, attributing it to unfair advantages. Professor Jiang tried to explain, revealing he had only given Gu Weiyi a book on "tackling a girl" because Gu Weiyi was in a critical phase of his romantic pursuit. Unconvinced, Zhou Lei demanded the same book. Professor Jiang initially claimed it was out of print, but then recalled his wife, Pei Lan, had a similar copy.

He promptly called her to bring it over. Pei Lan soon arrived, grumbling about being summoned for such a trivial matter in the cold. She playfully teased Gu Weiyi for being "love sick" and criticized Professor Jiang's dating advice. Professor Jiang defended his methods, recalling how he successfully won her over, but Pei Lan, with a smirk, declared herself the true "expert" in love.

She advised them that true success in love comes from understanding a girl's thoughts and preferences, and then confessing feelings in an appropriate way. Pei Lan proudly recounted how Professor Jiang used to write her a love poem every day, quoting a line: "Autumn wind rises, wisteria flowers fly, as if we meet each other again," which she said completely melted her heart.

Zhou Lei dismissed this as outdated, but Pei Lan retorted, highlighting his lack of experience in marriage or serious relationships. Gu Weiyi, however, seemed to grasp the essence of her advice. Before Pei Lan left, she handed the "How to tackle a handsome guy?" book she had brought to Zhou Lei, who initially tried to refuse it after seeing the title, but Pei Lan insisted he keep it.

Inspired by Pei Lan, Gu Weiyi diligently composed a love letter, which included scientific formulas and a drawing. He presented it to Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei for feedback, and they both praised it as "sincere and straightforward," assuring him it would be a success. Feeling confident, Gu Weiyi prepared to confess. Meanwhile, Situ Mo arrived home to a power outage. Frustrated by the cold, especially during her period, she called Gu Weiyi, asking him to buy warming patches.

Gu Weiyi, who was already downstairs, told her to come down, revealing it was snowing. Situ Mo, a Southerner, was ecstatic at the sight of snow and joyfully rushed outside. Seizing the moment, Gu Weiyi presented his love letter. Situ Mo, however, was confused by the scientific content, mistaking it for his class notes and wondering if he was boasting about his complicated studies.

Gu Weiyi tried to explain the symbolic meaning of the Schrödinger Equation, a law describing particle behavior, as a metaphor for her importance in his world. Still not understanding and feeling cold, Situ Mo decided she wanted roasted chestnuts and pulled him along to buy some.

At the chestnut stall, Situ Mo expressed her wish to see a "real snowman," having never seen one that didn't melt immediately, and noted that Gu Weiyi, being from the North, must have built many. Noticing how lightly she was dressed for the cold, Gu Weiyi, despite her initial resistance, took off his jacket and gently helped her put it on, neatly arranging the sleeves.

The intimate gesture brought a blush to Situ Mo's face as she recalled their previous kiss. Back home, Situ Mo was delighted to find many Doraemon-themed warming patches, which Gu Weiyi explained he had bought earlier after seeing the power cut notice, having guessed her fondness for Doraemon from her notebook doodles. Later, in their "Physics of Love" group chat, Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei eagerly inquired about the confession. Gu Weiyi dejectedly reported that Situ Mo "doesn't get it."

They immediately called him, perplexed that she couldn't understand the symbolic meaning of the Schrödinger Equation. They wondered if she was "playing dumb." Learning that Situ Mo was an Accounting major, Professor Jiang suggested a new strategy: a math-based confession. Gu Weiyi then presented Situ Mo with a complex math problem. Situ Mo, unable to solve it, became irritated, accusing him of "insulting her IQ" and asking him to stop bothering her with "science."

When Gu Weiyi relayed this latest failure, Zhou Lei quickly solved the problem, revealing its graph formed a heart shape, and remarked on Gu Weiyi's romantic gesture. Despite this, Zhou Lei concluded that Situ Mo simply didn't like him. Professor Jiang, however, encouraged Gu Weiyi not to give up, advising him to "lower his level" and use a more direct, poetic approach, like the one he used with Pei Lan.

Gu Weiyi then tried reciting Professor Jiang's poem, "Autumn wind rises, wisteria flowers fly, as if we meet each other again," to Situ Mo. Unimpressed and thinking of food, Situ Mo playfully countered with, "Autumn wind rises, crab legs are fat, it is nicer when you add chillies." Dejected, Gu Weiyi gave up and went to bed, while Situ Mo, amused, called him a "rascal." That night, the power returned.

Gu Weiyi, noticing Situ Mo was asleep, turned on the air conditioning for her, then quietly went outside to build a small snowman, which he carefully placed in the freezer. The next day, Gu Weiyi reported his latest failed attempt to Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei, recounting Situ Mo's "yummy crabs" response. They were still puzzled by her reactions, with Zhou Lei reiterating his belief that she simply didn't like him. Gu Weiyi looked visibly downcast.

At the lab, Xie Yu Yin, having mostly recovered from her cold, returned to work. Zhou Lei, however, was wary, fearing she would infect others, leading to a tense exchange between them. At lunchtime, Gu Weiyi looked unwell. Xie Yu Yin, noticing his discomfort, tried to check his forehead, but he instinctively recoiled. Zhou Lei, upon realizing Gu Weiyi had a high fever, immediately jumped away, loudly proclaiming his fear of infection.

Despite his aversion, Zhou Lei, dressed in a full protective suit, kindly brought Gu Weiyi a claypot rice from the 2nd canteen and arranged for him to go home and rest, reminding him to eat to avoid hypoglycemia. Xie Yu Yin also brought him some fever medicine. Meanwhile, Fu Pei, in a foul mood, got into a heated argument on the basketball court. Wang Shan was there, trying her best to calm him down.

Later, Situ Mo was at the supermarket with her superior, Li Na, tasked with buying a large quantity of orange juice for a product analysis report. Li Na assigned Situ Mo to take all the juices home, conduct the analysis alone, and prepare a report. Burdened with the heavy bags, Situ Mo arrived home only to discover she had forgotten her keys. She called Gu Weiyi, noticing his voice was hoarse.

He confirmed he had a fever, hadn't seen a doctor, and lied that he had no medicine at home. Situ Mo promised to return quickly with medicine. Shortly after, Gu Weiyi, expecting Situ Mo, opened the door to find Xie Yu Yin there. Xie Yu Yin claimed Zhou Lei had "chased her out of the lab" and she had brought Gu Weiyi's unfinished report, also checking on his condition.

When Gu Weiyi asked how she knew his address, she revealed Zhou Lei had told her. Situ Mo then arrived, a bit displeased to find Xie Yu Yin inside. Situ Mo firmly insisted Gu Weiyi take the medicine she brought, which he promptly did. Xie Yu Yin inquired if Situ Mo and Gu Weiyi were living together due to their parents, to which Situ Mo explained their mothers were classmates.

Gu Weiyi quickly finished the data for Xie Yu Yin's report, and she departed, still concerned she might have caused his illness. After Xie Yu Yin left, Gu Weiyi helped Situ Mo put the numerous orange juices into the fridge. He subtly tried to get her to open the freezer compartment, where he had hidden the snowman.

Situ Mo was confused, and upon opening it, she found only a few withered branches, wolfberries, and a leaf—the melted remains of his carefully crafted snowman. Gu Weiyi feigned sleep to avoid discussing it, leaving Situ Mo puzzled by the mysterious contents of her freezer. Concerned for Gu Weiyi, Situ Mo called Wang Shan for advice on making porridge for a feverish person. Wang Shan offered a detailed but complex recipe.

Feeling overwhelmed, Situ Mo joked she should let him starve and then asked Wang Shan to come over and help her. Wang Shan, in turn, found Fu Pei still sulking. She told him about Gu Weiyi being sick and gently prodded him about Situ Mo, revealing that Fu Pei had previously gone to see Situ Mo, but Situ Mo had told him she didn't want to see him again.

This was the reason for Fu Pei's bad mood and his fight on the basketball court. Wang Shan then offered to take Fu Pei to Situ Mo’s house, hoping it would give him a chance to apologize and clear the air. Still determined to win Situ Mo's affection, Gu Weiyi watched a video on "what a sexy boy should look like," which highlighted the importance of a good hairstyle, contrasting his current look with a "toilet lid" cut.

Taking this advice to heart, he went to a barber shop. He showed the barber a picture of his desired style, insisting he wanted it "exactly the same," even when the barber expressed doubts about its suitability for him. Gu Weiyi comically asked if he needed a "Direct Current or Alternating Current" perm. Despite the barber's repeated warnings, Gu Weiyi remained firm. The result was a disastrous mess. The horrified barber immediately offered to redo it for free, worried about his salon's reputation, but Gu Weiyi, seemingly unfazed, simply said "It's alright" and walked out.
