Put Your Head on My Shoulder Recap

Episode 1 Recap

Si Tu Mo, a senior student majoring in Accounting, harbored a strong desire to work in the advertising industry, leading to her delay in securing a job. One day, on her way to a job interview with Fu Pei, whom she considered a good friend but secretly harbored feelings for, she collided with Gu Weiyi while he was cycling. The collision tore her interview dress, but despite her anger, she had to rush to the interview.

Fu Pei, whose mind was fixed on an online game session with his friends, abandoned Si Tu Mo on her way to the interview. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi discovered to his dismay that he had accidentally swapped bags with Si Tu Mo, causing him significant embarrassment and costing him the opportunity to participate in Professor Jiang's project selection exam due to missing identification. Si Tu Mo also lost her interview opportunity due to the incident.

Later, under Fu Pei's arrangement, Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi formally met to exchange their bags. During the check, Si Tu Mo discovered her sanitary pads were missing, leading her to playfully tease Gu Weiyi about the small incident. Upon returning to her dorm, Si Tu Mo briefly recounted the day's events to her roommates. Wang Shan, one of her roommates, began reminding everyone about their first-year goals and urged them to take the upcoming campus recruitment fair seriously.

At the recruitment fair the following day, a sudden computer short-circuited, prompting the company's speaker to urgently seek someone knowledgeable to fix it. Gu Weiyi, drawing exclamations of admiration for his handsome appearance, swiftly resolved the issue. Afterwards, he sought out Si Tu Mo to ask for keys for Fu Pei, which he picked up from her, expressing his disinclination to run errands again for Fu Pei.

Back in his laboratory, Gu Weiyi was approached by Mr. Xu, his academic advisor, who pressed him to meet Professor Jiang privately to discuss his project application. Gu Weiyi, however, firmly refused, stating his disapproval of such unfair practices. Si Tu Mo later encountered Gu Weiyi again when she needed her phone screen replaced. Gu Weiyi unexpectedly expressed an interest in repairing phones, persuading Si Tu Mo to let him try fixing hers for practice.

Despite Si Tu Mo's apprehension, he successfully replaced the screen, even paying for both screens (hers and another broken one), before leaving coolly. Si Tu Mo felt hesitant about attending an upcoming interview due to its remote location. Fu Pei had promised to accompany her, convincing her to go. However, Fu Pei broke his promise to play basketball, leaving Si Tu Mo profoundly disappointed.

She traveled alone to the distant company, and on her way, she was robbed of her bag at the Luo He Road bus station. With no money and a dying phone, she had no choice but to cancel the interview. She called Fu Pei for help, but it was Gu Weiyi who answered. Unable to locate Fu Pei, and learning of Si Tu Mo's unfortunate predicament, Gu Weiyi took it upon himself to pick her up.

Noticing Si Tu Mo's injured hand, Gu Weiyi offered her tissues. Si Tu Mo initially resisted going to the hospital, but Gu Weiyi, with a grave expression, dramatically warned her about the severe consequences of untreated surface wounds, including bacterial infection and potential amputation, which quickly convinced her to seek medical attention. Seeing Si Tu Mo struggling to walk due to her knee injury, Gu Weiyi found a wheelchair for her.

Though Si Tu Mo felt embarrassed, she relented and sat in it. At the hospital, the doctor, seeing Si Tu Mo in a wheelchair, assumed the injuries were serious. Upon learning they were only minor scratches, the doctor light-heartedly teased them for borrowing a wheelchair for such minor injuries, joking that they were "showing affection" and "wasting hospital resources." The doctor found their situation quite amusing. After Si Tu Mo's wounds were treated, Fu Pei rushed in.

He immediately took the wheelchair from Gu Weiyi, then abruptly left Si Tu Mo to retrieve medicine from the pharmacy. Witnessing Fu Pei's thoughtlessness and how he seemed to forget her needs, Si Tu Mo felt a deep pang of disappointment. She silently acknowledged that she should never have harbored such expectations, realizing they would always be on different wavelengths. As tears welled up, Gu Weiyi instinctively moved closer to Si Tu Mo, offering quiet comfort. Fu Pei, meanwhile, was seen in the pharmacy, fumbling to remember the brand of sanitary pads Si Tu Mo used, demonstrating his continued lack of understanding of her.

Episode 2 Recap

Si Tu Mo, still recovering from her injuries, vividly recounted to her roommates how a "black-face knight" on a "motorbike" saved her and took her to the hospital. Her roommates playfully teased her about the knight's appearance and the polluting nature of his vehicle. Later, while Si Tu Mo was in her room, Fu Pei called, asking if she had eaten and mentioned he had forgotten to bring her food because he was busy gaming.

Si Tu Mo responded coldly, declining his invitation to dinner and hanging up despite his persistence. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi was back in the lab, where Mr. Xu, his lecturer, repeatedly tried to convince him to meet Prof. Jiang regarding a project opportunity. Gu Weiyi, wanting to avoid the conversation, made excuses about needing the only pair of safety goggles for an experiment, prompting Mr. Xu to leave, though he promised to return.

Later, Si Tu Mo went to the basketball court and saw Fu Pei. This triggered a flashback to a sunny high school day when Fu Pei, holding a basketball, asked if they should be together after university. He had added that if she didn't agree, it would just be an April Fool's joke. Back in the present, Si Tu Mo told Fu Pei she had an interview that afternoon, the same one from before.

Fu Pei expressed concern about her injuries and offered to accompany her, but then quickly retracted, saying he had a basketball game. Despite his broken promise, he insisted she wait for him at the bus station, claiming he wouldn't let her go alone. When Si Tu Mo arrived at the bus station, she was surprised to see Gu Weiyi there instead of Fu Pei.

Gu Weiyi explained that Fu Pei had blackmailed him into coming by threatening to release a video of Gu Weiyi's military training online. Gu Weiyi had initially refused, but Fu Pei's persistence and the threat led him to reluctantly agree to accompany Si Tu Mo to the rather isolated interview location. Once on the bus, Gu Weiyi, who had initially sat separately from Si Tu Mo, quickly moved to sit next to her when he spotted Mr. Xu.

To avoid further discussion about the project, Gu Weiyi immediately informed Mr. Xu that he was in a relationship and thus unable to consider any projects. Mr. Xu, surprised, asked if he was dating Si Tu Mo, to which Gu Weiyi confidently affirmed, and Si Tu Mo played along.

Mr. Xu then explained that Gu Weiyi had missed a crucial selection exam because he had lost his student ID, slyly suggesting Si Tu Mo might have been the cause, linking it to typical relationship distractions. He then pressed Si Tu Mo to convince Gu Weiyi to take a "last chance" to meet Prof. Jiang, but Gu Weiyi repeatedly interrupted, insisting Mr. Xu not interfere with their "dating."

He then declared that he made the decisions in "their family," prompting Si Tu Mo to playfully assert her own authority. As Mr. Xu exited the bus, he continued to urge Si Tu Mo to persuade Gu Weiyi. Si Tu Mo then asked Gu Weiyi if his missed exam was due to her accidentally taking his bag that day, but he quickly assured her it was not her fault, saying he had taken the bag first.

After Mr. Xu departed, both Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo subtly exchanged knowing smiles. While Si Tu Mo attended her interview, Gu Weiyi walked around the area. The Au Xin Advertising company, located on the fifth floor of a building with a broken elevator, appeared run-down. The CEO, Zhang Da Fa, was constantly distracted by phone calls about unpaid invoices.

He was dismissive of Si Tu Mo, misunderstanding her explanation that her major was "not suitable" as "I don't raise dogs," and barely listened to her despite her efforts to express her interest in advertising. The interview was quick and disheartening. Afterwards, Si Tu Mo, feeling down, insisted on treating Gu Weiyi to a meal, saying that eating helps when one is in a bad mood, even sharing a peculiar anecdote to make her point.

Gu Weiyi initially wanted to return to his calculations but eventually agreed. At a KFC, they encountered a group of children having a birthday party who challenged Gu Weiyi to a spinning top competition. Gu Weiyi used his physics knowledge to win, but when he tried to explain the concept of rotational inertia, the children, unimpressed, simply grabbed his spinning top when they realized they were losing and ran off to eat cake.

Back in his dorm, Gu Weiyi was immediately interrogated by Fu Pei about Si Tu Mo's interview, who complained he couldn't reach her by phone. Gu Weiyi tersely replied that she was sleeping. Fu Pei then asked if he thought Si Tu Mo was pretty. Gu Weiyi, recalling Si Tu Mo dozing off on his shoulder on the bus, gave a faint smile but verbally dismissed the question, claiming he hadn't paid attention.

Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo, back in her dorm, was also questioned by her roommates about her interview experience. She described the company as unprofessional but admitted that cross-disciplinary interviews could be tough. When asked who accompanied her, she referred to him as "that funny person." Her roommates, recognizing the description of the "black-face knight," pressed her for a name.

Upon hearing it was Gu Weiyi, they were astonished, revealing he was a legendary academic ace and a low-profile handsome student who regularly contended for scholarships. They also regretfully mentioned that he was now cited as a negative example at graduation meetings because he had missed a crucial project exam due to not having his student ID, and some even branded him arrogant. Si Tu Mo knew in her heart that his missed opportunity was because of their accidental bag-swap.

Feeling guilty about Gu Weiyi's missed opportunity, Si Tu Mo decided to seek out Mr. Xu to see if there was a way to help him. She found Mr. Xu reviewing exam results and, introducing herself as Gu Weiyi's girlfriend, inquired about any available chances for him. Mr. Xu then took her to Prof. Jiang, who was initially unyielding, stating that he only valued proven ability and was dismissive of those who missed exams.

Si Tu Mo, however, boldly challenged Prof. Jiang, arguing that he couldn't dismiss Gu Weiyi, who had been the top student in Physics for three consecutive years, without first assessing his true capabilities. Impressed by her unwavering defense, Prof. Jiang relented and handed her a challenging graduate-level Polymer Physics exam for Ph. D. admission, instructing her to give it to Gu Weiyi to test his skill. Si Tu Mo then sought out Fu Pei, asking him to locate Gu Weiyi.

She explained her guilt over the bag incident and her belief that this new exam could offer Gu Weiyi a chance, admitting she needed Fu Pei's help to find him because she herself couldn't convince Gu Weiyi, given his strong principles of fairness. As Fu Pei agreed to help, he paused to ask Si Tu Mo if she found Gu Weiyi handsome, though he quickly dropped the question when she looked bewildered.

Si Tu Mo watched Gu Weiyi, finding him somewhat appealing as he focused on his experiment. When she presented the challenging Ph. D. level Polymer Physics exam from Prof. Jiang, Gu Weiyi initially dismissed it. Si Tu Mo then employed reverse psychology, asserting that Prof. Jiang didn't truly value him and never expected a mere undergraduate to complete such a difficult paper, implying he lacked the necessary qualities for top-tier research.

Provoked by her words, Gu Weiyi snatched the paper and began solving it with intense focus. Fu Pei, bored, eventually fell asleep nearby, while Si Tu Mo stayed by Gu Weiyi, quietly wiping the blackboard. Hours later, Gu Weiyi completed the extensive exam, remarking with a rare smile that "calculation makes me happy." The trio then went to a hotpot restaurant. Throughout dinner, Fu Pei was engrossed in his phone, texting about an upcoming basketball game.

When the waitress asked if his "girlfriend" wanted a drink, Fu Pei immediately denied that Si Tu Mo was his girlfriend. This visibly hurt Si Tu Mo, who began drinking heavily. Once intoxicated, she confronted Fu Pei, accusing him of "acting dumb" and pressing him about the kind of girls he truly liked. He jokingly suggested she introduce him to someone from her department.

After Si Tu Mo stumbled back to her dorm, Fu Pei confronted Gu Weiyi, demanding he stay away from Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi coolly challenged Fu Pei, questioning his right to make such a demand and advising him to "put himself in the right place."

This confrontation triggered Fu Pei's memory of high school, where he had broken his promise to Si Tu Mo due to classmates' jealousy, telling her it was "better to avoid trouble" and that they should remain "just friends." Si Tu Mo, having believed she could change him, had expressed her hurt and disappointment at his casual dismissal of their agreement.

Episode 3 Recap

Si Tu Mo lay resting on her bed when her phone rang. Her roommate, Wang Shan, handed her the phone, revealing a call from Pu Hua Accounting Firm inviting her for an interview. Si Tu Mo quickly got up to prepare, noticing several missed calls from Fu Pei after hanging up. As Wang Shan hurried downstairs for class, she encountered Fu Pei waiting for Si Tu Mo.

Wang Shan briefly informed him that Si Tu Mo was getting ready before rushing off. Si Tu Mo then came downstairs and questioned Fu Pei's presence. Fu Pei vividly recounted her drunken behavior from the previous night, including hugging him tightly, attempting to kiss him, and touching his face and arms, much to Si Tu Mo's embarrassment and irritation. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi visited Prof. Jiang's office.

Prof. Jiang praised Gu Weiyi's independently solved paper and extended an invitation for him to join his experimental project team. Gu Weiyi initially hesitated, feeling it was improper since he hadn't taken the official exam and shouldn't take a spot from other candidates.

However, Prof. Jiang assured him that his skill level indicated he would have been the top scorer had he taken the exam, emphasizing that team recruitment wasn't limited to a fixed number and that he could recruit as many as needed, especially since he didn't pay them. Gu Weiyi agreed to join, surprising Prof. Jiang, who had prepared extensive arguments expecting more resistance and noted that Mr. Xu had described Gu Weiyi as a very stubborn person.

During her interview at Pu Hua Accounting Firm, Sis Qing informed Si Tu Mo that they would recruit ten interns, but only one would be placed in her department. She encouraged Si Tu Mo to perform well to secure a permanent position, reminding her that it was a mutual selection process. Later, while on the phone with her mother in the cafeteria, Si Tu Mo nearly tripped.

Gu Weiyi, who was passing by, steadied her and took her meal tray, placing it on a table for her. Her mother urged her to return home to work at a friend's factory, concerned about her struggles in the big city. Si Tu Mo insisted on pursuing her opportunity at Pu Hua, and watched Gu Weiyi with surprise and happiness, so distracted that she barely registered her mother's casual mention of a friend's vacant house.

Si Tu Mo found her internship at Pu Hua Accounting Firm demanding. One evening, after a long day, she struggled to board a crowded bus and decided to walk to an earlier stop. Her mother called, worried about her arduous commute. Learning the extent of Si Tu Mo's daily struggles, her mother suggested she move into a vacant house owned by Aunt Xu, which was conveniently located near her office.

Reluctantly, Si Tu Mo agreed, swayed by her exhaustion and the sight of her blistered feet. Gu Weiyi began his work in the lab, where he was introduced to his senior, Xie Yu Yin. She immediately helped him by pointing out a small calculation error in his work. Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo happily moved into Aunt Xu's house, personalizing it with Doraemon-themed items.

During a lunch break, Si Tu Mo's colleague, Kang Lin, informed her that others were complaining in the company chat group about the strong smell of her Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle. Surprised, Si Tu Mo realized she wasn't even in the group. Kang Lin added her, advised her to be more "smart" in the future, and mentioned the noodle shop she frequented, only to later learn it had been penalized for hygiene issues.

Later, at the library, Si Tu Mo encountered Gu Weiyi. He pointed out a "stinking" smell from her and suggested she shower. Si Tu Mo revealed she had moved out of the dorm and described her new rental as strange and cold, like a "mortuary." Wanting to read in peace, Gu Weiyi curtly agreed that the library also felt like a "mortuary," effectively ending the conversation. After taking the hint, Si Tu Mo left the library.

Later, her mother called to remind her that Aunt Xu's child would be staying for a few days. Si Tu Mo casually agreed, only to be stunned when Gu Weiyi appeared at the door. He explained that he couldn't get a taxi in the rain and had to stay overnight. Seeing the messy house, Gu Weiyi insisted she throw away her unfinished Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle.

She hesitated, awkwardly explaining she couldn't go down immediately because she wasn't wearing a bra. After they tidied up, they debated who should shower first. Later, Si Tu Mo angrily called her mother, who admitted she was trying to set them up. Gu Weiyi also called his mother, frustrated that he wasn't told the new housemate was a girl.

In the middle of the night, Gu Weiyi, unable to sleep in an unfamiliar bed, went to ask Si Tu Mo to switch rooms. He found her doubled over in pain from acute gastroenteritis and collapsing. Panicked, Gu Weiyi called for an ambulance, mistakenly telling the operator he had "poisoned" her. At the hospital, they encountered the same doctor who had previously treated Si Tu Mo's leg.

The doctor teased Gu Weiyi about his concern for his "girlfriend" and explained she had fainted from the pain, which was exacerbated by an expired pill she took. As they waited, a parent, whose child was faking illness to skip an exam, caused a scene and began throwing things. Gu Weiyi instinctively shielded Si Tu Mo, who regained consciousness at that exact moment, their eyes meeting.

Episode 4 Recap

Gu Weiyi woke up early and went to a breakfast stall. He ordered a bowl of white porridge, a baked roll, two Chinese breadsticks, a sesame ball, and salty tofu pudding. He specifically requested the white porridge be ready, explaining that his friend had gastroenteritis and needed plain food.

The shop owner was touched by his thoughtfulness, remarking that he was very kind to his friend, even getting up at six in the morning, which was more attentive than her own husband. While waiting, Gu Weiyi received a call from Fu Pei, who was at South University of Science and Technology for training.

Fu Pei urgently asked Gu Weiyi to bring him a pair of sport shoes for an afternoon match, as his own shoes were wet and prohibited from being dried with a hair dryer at the dorm. Gu Weiyi, however, told him he was at the hospital and couldn't leave. Fu Pei pressed for details, only then learning that Si Tu Mo had been admitted. When Si Tu Mo awoke, she found Gu Weiyi intently looking at the Vital Signs Monitor.

She didn't want to eat the plain white porridge, complaining that her stomach was empty after vomiting. She tried to persuade Gu Weiyi to let her eat other food, but he firmly refused. As Gu Weiyi was distracted by his phone, Si Tu Mo repeatedly attempted to sneak bites of a Chinese breadstick and a sesame ball, but failed. Just as she managed to swallow a sesame ball, Dr. Liu entered the room.

Gu Weiyi immediately stepped in front of Si Tu Mo, blocking Dr. Liu's view and declaring, "Don't look at my girlfriend!" Si Tu Mo choked upon hearing this. Dr. Liu observed their interaction, seemed to understand, and informed Si Tu Mo that she was ready for discharge. Gu Weiyi began tidying the bed and told Si Tu Mo to wait while he went to handle the discharge procedures.

Si Tu Mo also advised him to stop eating snail noodles, as they always caused her stomach aches. To her surprise, when Gu Weiyi returned, Fu Pei was already there. Gu Weiyi asked how he arrived so quickly. Fu Pei nonchalantly claimed it was "a small matter," though in reality, his journey had been fraught with difficulties—his taxi broke down, his e-bike ran out of battery, and he ultimately had to rush to catch a bus.

Fu Pei then asked why Gu Weiyi was accompanying Si Tu Mo to the hospital. Si Tu Mo avoided the truth, merely stating that she had met Gu Weiyi on the road and asked him to accompany her. As Fu Pei and Si Tu Mo descended the hospital escalator, Dr. Liu, spotting Si Tu Mo, inquired about her "boyfriend's" whereabouts and asked if Fu Pei was someone her "boyfriend" had called for help.

Fu Pei looked confused by the doctor's comments. Dr. Liu continued to advise Si Tu Mo to rest well and not to be hospitalized frequently, adding that her "boyfriend" was already very worried and might "go crazy" if it happened again. Gu Weiyi then arrived and joined them at the hospital. Later, while they were in a car, Fu Pei questioned Gu Weiyi about the doctor's assumption that he was Si Tu Mo's boyfriend.

Gu Weiyi simply stated that the doctor had mistaken him for her boyfriend. Fu Pei then teased Gu Weiyi, suggesting that he only liked women like Maria Curie. Si Tu Mo, sitting beside them, giggled at the comment. Upon arriving at Si Tu Mo's dormitory building, Gu Weiyi quietly bid farewell to them, observing Fu Pei's attentive gestures towards Si Tu Mo.

Fu Pei then encountered Si Tu Mo's roommate, Wang Shan, who casually informed him that Si Tu Mo no longer lived in the dorm, which came as a surprise to him. Meanwhile, in Professor Jiang's laboratory, a heated argument unfolded between two students, Zhou Lei and Xie Yu Yin. Zhou Lei complained to Professor Jiang and Mr. Wang that Xie Yu Yin had arbitrarily modified his experiment report.

He argued that he was Professor Jiang's student, not Xie Yu Yin's, and that she had even compared him to Gu Weiyi, claiming that "even Gu Weiyi could accept her guidance modestly, why can't I?" Zhou Lei indignantly asserted that he was smarter than Gu Weiyi and had gained admission by his own strength, implying Gu Weiyi had "used the back door."

Xie Yu Yin calmly clarified that her red marks were intended to highlight Zhou Lei's errors and that she had merely cited Gu Weiyi as an example of someone who benefited from her assistance. Professor Jiang and Mr. Wang, after reviewing the report, sided with Xie Yu Yin, confirming that Zhou Lei's calculations were indeed incorrect.

Just then, Gu Weiyi entered and further confirmed that Zhou Lei's calculation method was problematic, noting he had already marked the issues with a pencil. Zhou Lei was visibly frustrated by this additional correction. Gu Weiyi was packing his belongings in his dorm room, explaining to his roommate that he planned to return home for about a week to complete an experiment, as some necessary equipment was still at the old campus.

His roommate expressed his confusion about the scientific research field. Around the same time, Si Tu Mo sent Gu Weiyi a message asking if he had her house key, which she had accidentally left at his place. She requested that they go back together after she finished packing, adding that she hoped he wouldn't tell anyone she had stayed at his house previously.

Si Tu Mo also received a phone call regarding a report due tomorrow and an upcoming trip to Ori Advertising, which she confirmed she would do. Si Tu Mo called Gu Weiyi, whose phone was on silent. They decided to share a ride back to his place. As they loaded her luggage, Gu Weiyi helped her with a bag that wasn't properly zipped. Coincidentally, Fu Pei spotted them getting into a taxi.

He quickly hailed another taxi and instructed the driver to follow them. During the ride, Fu Pei listened to the taxi driver's rambling story about a female passenger who wanted to beat her husband and his mistress, only to find out the husband had rented a room to store "plastic dolls" or "figurines."

Despite the driver's unrelated anecdote, Fu Pei, after a moment of contemplation, changed his mind about leaving and decided to have the taxi turn around and return to Gu Weiyi's house. Upon arriving at Gu Weiyi's house, Si Tu Mo noticed a fridge magnet on his refrigerator. She told Gu Weiyi that she had washed his bedsheet the previous day, but it hadn't dried due to the rain.

She offered to hang it up for him so he could use it once it was dry. Gu Weiyi, however, insisted that she wait until it was completely dry and then put it back on the bed, claiming he couldn't do it himself. Si Tu Mo suspected he was deliberately making trouble for her, but she reluctantly took the bedsheet to the balcony. She then called Gu Weiyi to help.

As Si Tu Mo shook the bedsheet, Gu Weiyi mistakenly thought she was trying to hit him and released his grip, causing the bedsheet to fly off the balcony. They both had to go downstairs to retrieve it. While Gu Weiyi was using a pole to try and pick up the bedsheet, it accidentally fell and covered Si Tu Mo. As Gu Weiyi lifted the bedsheet, they inadvertently bumped into each other.

This intimate moment was witnessed by Fu Pei, who had just returned and was observing them from outside the house. Fu Pei entered the house, making sour remarks about the absence of fruit in the fruit bowl and sarcastically offering to bring some next time, asking what fruit they liked before answering "watermelon."

He then tried on a green hat and remarked on its trendiness, linking it to the green bedsheet, which he claimed suited him better than Gu Weiyi, likening himself to the "Green Light Hero." He then implied that the house was perfectly sized for two people. Fu Pei continued to taunt them, suggesting Gu Weiyi was shy and should not hide that they were living together.

He told Si Tu Mo that she was a good person and it was good to settle down. He then turned to Si Tu Mo, expressing his hurt that she had kept their relationship a secret from him, her "good friend." Si Tu Mo, frustrated, challenged him, asking, "What is our relationship? What shall we do between friends?" Fu Pei, with feigned sincerity, told Si Tu Mo that Gu Weiyi truly suited her and wished her happiness.

He then claimed he had a game that afternoon and abruptly left, declaring he wouldn't disturb their "two-person world" any longer. After Fu Pei left, Gu Weiyi asked Si Tu Mo if her hand, which she had inadvertently injured, was painful. She admitted it hurt. Gu Weiyi told her it was okay to cry, but she insisted she didn't want to. He then went out to buy a band-aid for her.

He also returned with a large watermelon, explaining he bought it because the fruit bowl was empty, implying he was also responding to her earlier preference for watermelon. Si Tu Mo thanked him, and he asked if her hand still hurt, to which she replied it didn't. Gu Weiyi then teasingly remarked that her half of the watermelon seemed sweeter and took a bite from it.

When she asked if watermelon was suitable for someone with gastroenteritis, he simply said, "I can." She questioned if he genuinely liked watermelon, to which he leaned in and replied, "I like it more than you do." Later, Si Tu Mo received a call from someone asking her to bring a report to Ori Advertising, which she confirmed she would do.

Episode 5 Recap

In the lab, Zhou Lei pointed out to Professor Jiang that Gu Weiyi was on his mobile phone. Gu Weiyi retorted that it was rest time and then announced that the CET4 and CET6 results were out. Zhou Lei, who had also taken the exam, initially feigned disinterest, but Professor Jiang intervened, allowing everyone five minutes to check their scores. Zhou Lei quickly checked his score, 639, and excitedly asked Gu Weiyi about his.

When Gu Weiyi revealed his score was 671, Zhou Lei was stunned and accused him of cheating, while Professor Jiang, witnessing the exchange, smiled. Later, Fu Pei received a call from his roommate who wanted to know what Si Tu Mo's roommate might like as a gift. Fu Pei dejectedly replied that Si Tu Mo would no longer pick up his calls, leaving his friend surprised.

Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo was at Ori Advertising, a company she had always dreamed of working for, accompanying Director Li from an accounting firm. She explained the company's unique culture where top monthly workers were featured on lollipops to encourage others. While working, Si Tu Mo received an unexpected call from her mom. Her mom announced she was already on her way to the apartment and would arrive soon, suggesting they invite Gu Weiyi for dinner.

Frustrated by her mom's unannounced visit and matchmaking, Si Tu Mo told her not to invite him, accusing her of disrespect. That evening, Si Tu Mo and her mom went to Gu Weiyi's apartment. Si Tu Mo's mom immediately made herself at home, thanking Gu Weiyi profusely for taking care of Si Tu Mo. She shared a fond memory of holding him as a baby, to which Gu Weiyi amusingly added that he had peed on her.

She then questioned him about his relationship status, advising him to find a girlfriend despite his academic achievements. Si Tu Mo's mom then insisted on making Gu Weiyi a walnut and black sesame dessert. Gu Weiyi politely tried to decline to avoid troubling her, but she misinterpreted his hesitation as a sign that he disliked her cooking. To reassure her, Gu Weiyi quickly agreed. She then tasked him with opening the walnuts while she went to prepare the sesame.

Elsewhere, Fu Pei was drinking alone at a street stall when he witnessed a customer harassing Wang Shan, demanding money for a spill. Fu Pei intervened, offering to pay a substantial sum and settle the man's bill, forcing the aggressor to back down. Wang Shan thanked him, offering to repay him, but Fu Pei declined. He then lied, telling her he was upset because he had failed his CET4 exam.

Surprised he hadn't passed, Wang Shan offered to help him study as a way to repay him. Fu Pei then asked if Si Tu Mo hadn't told her that he was a "study bug." Back at the apartment, Gu Weiyi was attempting to open walnuts using the edge of a door, a method Si Tu Mo found amusing and joined in.

They laughed as they broke open the nuts, with Si Tu Mo's mom secretly watching them with a satisfied smile. She then demonstrated her own method of opening walnuts with a key before having Gu Weiyi give Si Tu Mo his key to try. After they had enjoyed the dessert, Si Tu Mo's mom announced she was tired and asked Gu Weiyi if she could stay the night. Gu Weiyi readily agreed.

Mortified, Si Tu Mo tried to convince her mom to go to a hotel she had booked, but her mom, claiming extreme exhaustion, insisted on staying. The next morning, Si Tu Mo's mom loudly tried to wake her up for work. Si Tu Mo protested vehemently, telling her mom to lower her voice so as not to wake Gu Weiyi, who could hear the entire exchange from his room and chuckled silently.

At breakfast, Si Tu Mo's mom continued her matchmaking efforts, playfully bickering with her daughter over her eating habits while Gu Weiyi watched their banter with a subtle smile. Later that day, in the lab, Xie Yuyin asked Gu Weiyi for a pen. He opened his pen box to find a bag of walnuts Si Tu Mo had given him. Recalling her mom's advice that walnuts were good for the brain, he offered some to Xie Yuyin and Zhou Lei.

However, Professor Jiang walked in, furious to find them with food. He reprimanded them for their unprofessional attitude, reminding them that no food was allowed in the lab, and ordered them to redo the entire day's experiment. At her internship, Si Tu Mo showed a new colleague a recruitment ad for Ori Advertising, reaffirming her dream to work there. Meanwhile, Fu Pei and Wang Shan were studying together.

When Wang Shan complained of fatigue and suggested they find Si Tu Mo, Fu Pei challenged her to spell out forty words he had asked her to memorize, promising to take her to see Si Tu Mo if she succeeded. Upon returning home, Si Tu Mo immediately sprawled on the sofa. Her mom chided her for her unladylike posture, but when Gu Weiyi walked through the door, Si Tu Mo quickly sat up straight.

Her mom enlisted both of them to help with dinner. Gu Weiyi, with his characteristic precision, used a ruler to measure the carrots he was cutting, much to Si Tu Mo's amusement. Her mom defended Gu Weiyi's meticulousness, calling him a future "national pillar." After dinner, seeing them both cooped up studying and working, Si Tu Mo's mom decided they needed to go out and experience "the healthy and happy living of the elders."

She led them to a mahjong parlor, where Gu Weiyi, though a novice, quickly grasped the rules and began winning almost every hand. Si Tu Mo cheered him on excitedly while her mom beamed with pride. Afterwards, Gu Weiyi gave all his winnings to Si Tu Mo. Back at the apartment, Gu Weiyi thoughtfully arranged Si Tu Mo's slippers for her. Noticing their growing chemistry, Si Tu Mo's mom found Gu Weiyi's misplaced magazine, remarking that their unspoken understanding made it seem as if they had been living together for decades.

Episode 6 Recap

Si Tu Mo's mother, having extended her stay, playfully remarked that even Gu Weiyi wasn't rushing her to leave, unlike Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi chimed in, agreeing with her. During breakfast, Si Tu Mo's mother observed the two, noting they weren't rushing. Si Tu Mo mentioned she needed to return to school to discuss her graduation thesis.

Gu Weiyi also stated he was heading back to the old campus, as Professor Jiang was at the new campus and he needed to see him. Si Tu Mo's mother suggested they go together. On the way, Gu Weiyi asked if Si Tu Mo still enjoyed listening to crosstalk. Si Tu Mo admitted she had been too busy to download new ones, so Gu Weiyi offered his earphones, revealing he had downloaded some, and they both chuckled while listening.

Back at her dormitory, Si Tu Mo found her three roommates furtively hiding items. Her arrival startled them, making them think the dorm keeper had entered. Moments later, the dorm keeper indeed pushed the door open. The roommates quickly stashed things under the table, claiming they were just dirty clothes. Unfazed, the dorm keeper insisted they retrieve the items. From a pile of clothes, she discovered a small pot, confiscating it and telling them they could retrieve it after graduation.

She also sarcastically commented on the unwashed socks, suggesting they might be cooking them due to hunger, and emphasized that room hygiene was a key part of the inspection. Meanwhile, Fu Pei waited outside the residential area. Spotting Si Tu Mo's mother, he approached her. Fu Pei introduced himself as Si Tu Mo's high school classmate, reminding her he had visited their home before to deliver Si Tu Mo's report card and that she had offered him walnuts.

Si Tu Mo's mother, feigning forgetfulness and mistaking him for a salesperson, claimed she didn't remember him and that she didn't buy gym memberships or health products. She then muttered to herself about her wasted walnuts. Just as Si Tu Mo returned and encountered them, her mother quickly dismissed Fu Pei, urging Si Tu Mo to come home immediately for soup.

Later, Si Tu Mo's mother confronted Si Tu Mo about Fu Pei, asking if he was the same Fu Pei from her diary, the one who caused her to cry all night in middle school. Si Tu Mo's mother expressed her concern, recalling how she and Si Tu Mo's father had worried all night and how Si Tu Mo had been depressed for a long time because of him.

She advised Si Tu Mo not to compromise in relationships, especially with someone "fickle" like Fu Pei, insisting she live happily and not endure unhappiness. She then announced her departure for home the next day. Si Tu Mo's mother and Si Tu Mo watched TV together, with her mother using characters from the show to advise Si Tu Mo on being cautious when choosing a boyfriend.

Upon Gu Weiyi's return home, Si Tu Mo's mother informed him of her departure the next day, asking him to continue taking good care of Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi cordially invited her to visit often. Later, struggling with her thesis, Si Tu Mo playfully asked Gu Weiyi to write it for her, then quickly dismissed the idea, assuming he wouldn't help.

Gu Weiyi inquired about her thesis topic, which was "To informationize the SME Accounting by cloud computing model research," a title Si Tu Mo admitted would confuse anyone. She then asked about his topic, "The law of Viscosity of Polyvinyl, The improvement of viscosity-average molecular weight," which left her equally bewildered.

Si Tu Mo confessed her supervisor had criticized her thesis for lacking original ideas and clear arguments, failing to show her thoughts on the future of accounting, a career path she wasn't even sure she wanted to pursue. When Si Tu Mo's mother suggested accounting was a good path, Gu Weiyi interjected, stating it was more important to pursue what one truly wanted to do.

Both mother and daughter looked at Gu Weiyi, Si Tu Mo finding his perspective unexpectedly insightful. Before leaving, Si Tu Mo's mother presented Si Tu Mo with a "contract of never moving out," threatening to stay if Si Tu Mo didn't sign it, as she was reluctant to leave Gu Weiyi. To expedite her mother's departure, Si Tu Mo reluctantly signed the document.

The moment her mother left, Si Tu Mo immediately returned to her room to pack her belongings and move back to the dorm. She then sent a text message to Gu Weiyi, apologizing for the trouble and inviting him for a meal sometime. That evening, Gu Weiyi returned to a quiet apartment, a stark contrast to the lively atmosphere of the past two days.

Feeling a significant sense of emptiness, he found himself constantly replaying memories of Si Tu Mo's presence, even attempting to open walnuts with the door in a moment of distraction, reminiscent of their earlier playful interaction. Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo, having worked late, found her dorm gates locked.

She politely pleaded with the dorm keeper to open the door, but the keeper, exasperated by Si Tu Mo's frequent late returns, suggested she should just stay outside if she kept coming back so late, claiming she was ruining the dorm's atmosphere. Si Tu Mo muttered under her breath that staying outside was fine. Elsewhere, Wang Shan encouraged Fu Pei to attempt a mock test after their study session.

Fu Pei, seeking a reward, hinted he wanted to visit Si Tu Mo's house. Wang Shan questioned why he didn't ask Si Tu Mo directly, to which Fu Pei explained he wanted it to be a surprise. Wang Shan agreed to help him arrange a meeting with Si Tu Mo if he passed the mock test. A classmate approached Si Tu Mo for help with a poster for the upcoming graduation fair, as her own had been rejected.

Si Tu Mo initially declined, citing her busy schedule with thesis and internship. However, when the classmate reminded her of her passion for advertising, Si Tu Mo recalled Gu Weiyi's words about the importance of doing what one loves. Inspired, she agreed to help with the poster, even deciding to resign from her current internship to dedicate time to this passion. She presented her resignation to Sis Qing, her manager, expressing her desire to pursue a career in advertising.

Sis Qing, surprised and disappointed, tried to persuade her to stay, mentioning her plans for Si Tu Mo's permanent employment and highlighting the interesting aspects of finance, but ultimately respected Si Tu Mo's decision, wishing her a bright future. After resigning, Si Tu Mo immediately set her sights on applying to Ori Advertising. Back in the lab, Professor Jiang caught Gu Weiyi distracted, seemingly researching surnames related to "Si Tu" on his computer, rather than focusing on his experiments.

Despite Gu Weiyi's insistence that his experiments were complete, the professor, clearly annoyed, ordered him to repeat them, advising him to refocus. As Gu Weiyi left, he "coincidentally" ran into Si Tu Mo outside the girls' dormitory. Claiming to be lost and unfamiliar with the old campus, he joined her on her way to her interview at Ori Advertising. After Si Tu Mo entered, Gu Weiyi secretly searched on his phone for "how long a job interview usually lasts."

When Si Tu Mo emerged, confident of her success, Gu Weiyi acted surprised and walked her back to the dorm. As she headed upstairs, he discretely pulled out Si Tu Mo's draft paper, which he had been holding. The dorm keeper, Pei Lan, observed Gu Weiyi lingering at the entrance and mistook him for a salesman, scolding him. Professor Jiang then appeared, clarifying that Gu Weiyi was his student.

In a surprising turn, it was revealed that Professor Jiang and Pei Lan were a couple, with Pei Lan firmly asserting her authority over him, much to Gu Weiyi's bewildered amusement. After completing her thesis, Si Tu Mo celebrated her achievement, jokingly dedicating her work to Gu Weiyi. Soon after, Gu Weiyi called Si Tu Mo, falsely claiming her mother was coming to visit and asking her to come home.

Si Tu Mo, worried about her mother discovering she had moved out, rushed back. Her roommate, Wang Shan, intrigued by the idea of seeing a "genius physicist's" home, decided to accompany her, reasoning that bringing a friend would make Si Tu Mo's mother believe she still lived there permanently. Upon their arrival, Gu Weiyi, who had been diligently cleaning, seemed displeased to see Wang Shan but informed Si Tu Mo that her mother had canceled her visit to play mahjong.

As Wang Shan and Si Tu Mo prepared to leave, Gu Weiyi insisted they stay, revealing that someone else was coming. To their surprise, Fu Pei arrived, eager to celebrate Si Tu Mo's thesis completion. Despite Gu Weiyi's evident displeasure, Wang Shan and Fu Pei insisted on staying to watch a horror movie. During the tense viewing, Si Tu Mo nervously mentioned wanting tomato-flavored chips.

Fu Pei immediately offered to go buy some, but Si Tu Mo quickly cut him off, leading to an awkward silence. Fu Pei then realized that his previous assumptions about Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi living together were mistaken. Later, a heavily intoxicated Fu Pei, in his drunken state, mistook Wang Shan for Si Tu Mo and attempted to kiss her.

Sometime after the party, Si Tu Mo's mother called Gu Weiyi to check on Si Tu Mo, mentioning she had sent some items and asking him to report if Si Tu Mo ever bullied him. Gu Weiyi confirmed Si Tu Mo was doing well and agreed to check for the delivery. Si Tu Mo's mother then told Gu Weiyi to ask Si Tu Mo to come home.

Episode 7 Recap

Fu Pei, visibly drunk, mistook Wang Shan for Si Tu Mo and was about to kiss her when a loud noise, likely a falling glass, startled everyone. Disoriented, Fu Pei muttered Si Tu Mo’s name and tried to explain, “Mo Mo, I’m not…” Wang Shan, trying to make him recognize her, stated her own name. Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi were present. Gu Weiyi intervened, telling Fu Pei and Wang Shan to leave.

As Fu Pei tried to explain, Gu Weiyi firmly stated, "You should go back." Si Tu Mo then suggested to Gu Weiyi, "Let's go back." Seeing the scattered glass shards, Gu Weiyi warned Si Tu Mo, "Leave it, I’ll take the mop. You don’t pick it up." Observing the broken glass, Si Tu Mo had a profound realization: "Every glass product comes with a 'caution sticker' on its packaging, but not everyone truly takes caution.

They might carelessly think it won't break easily, or that it was fine before. However, when they finally open the packaging, they’ll find it broken. What can you do then? You can only throw it away." The following day, as Si Tu Mo prepared to leave with her packed luggage, Gu Weiyi stopped her, insisting she clean up the house first.

He pointed to stickers on the wall, demanding she remove them and even fix the wall if it was damaged in the process. After Si Tu Mo reluctantly complied, thinking she was finally free, Gu Weiyi then declared the drain was clogged, providing a detailed scientific explanation of reduced water flow. When Si Tu Mo resignedly offered to clean it, acknowledging her long hair was likely the cause, Gu Weiyi quickly offered to call a plumber.

Just as Si Tu Mo tried to leave again, he stopped her once more, explaining it was too late to call someone that day and he wouldn't be home the next. He asked her to stay and wait for the plumber, to which she hesitantly agreed. As they sat in the living room in uncomfortable silence, Si Tu Mo realized she was hungry but the instant noodles in the fridge were gone, as Gu Weiyi had eaten them.

When Gu Weiyi offered to buy more, Si Tu Mo, exasperated by his constant questions about brands and other items, decided to accompany him to the supermarket. While Si Tu Mo was busy selecting instant noodles, Gu Weiyi wandered off, captivated by a smart robot being demonstrated. A persistent sales assistant highlighted the robot's capabilities, boasting it could manage all household smart appliances and even simulate emotions for conversation.

Despite Si Tu Mo's protests that it was too expensive, and her playful suggestion that she could chat with him instead, Gu Weiyi was easily persuaded. The sales assistant, mistaking them for a couple, cleverly used their perceived relationship to encourage the purchase. Si Tu Mo finally relented, telling Gu Weiyi to pay for it himself.

At checkout, the cashier informed them they were just short of 200 RMB to qualify for a free shopping bag and that the robot, being an electronic item, didn't count towards the promotion. Si Tu Mo, to reach the threshold, impulsively grabbed a tin box, mistakenly believing it contained chewing gum. Back home, Gu Weiyi, thinking it was candy, eagerly tore open the packaging, only to discover it contained condoms, which he quickly and awkwardly hid.

Later, Gu Weiyi was seen in his room, deeply troubled, trying to devise further excuses to prolong Si Tu Mo's stay. The following day, as they waited for the plumber, Gu Weiyi meticulously laid out the reasons Si Tu Mo should continue living with him. He explained the apartment's convenient proximity to her recent interview location, the strict dorm rules at her distant university, and the financial implications.

He revealed that Si Tu Mo's mother had already paid a year's rent to his mother, covering her until graduation. He subtly implied that if Si Tu Mo were to move out, her mother might not continue to fund her housing elsewhere. Just then, Gu Weiyi received a package: a "contract" from Si Tu Mo's mother, essentially a written promise that Si Tu Mo would not move out.

Gu Weiyi then added that he would return to the new campus once his experiment was completed, trying to put her at ease. When Si Tu Mo directly asked him why he genuinely wanted her to stay, Gu Weiyi, with a straight face, claimed he was afraid of her mother, to which Si Tu Mo replied that she understood. While supervising the plumber, Gu Weiyi overheard Si Tu Mo saying she would go back to her dorm.

He quickly went to her room, saw her suitcase was still there, and a relieved smile spread across his face. Later, he carefully searched for a discreet spot to hide the "contract" from Si Tu Mo's mother. Back at her dorm, Si Tu Mo was greeted by Meng Lu, who playfully interrogated her about staying overnight at Gu Weiyi's place.

While the roommates were busy applying makeup to a doll, Wang Shan entered, leading to an awkward but polite exchange between Si Tu Mo and Wang Shan. Moments later, Si Tu Mo received a phone call from Ori Advertising, joyfully informing her that she had passed her interview and assessment. Overhearing the good news, Wang Shan, despite pretending to listen to music, subtly showed happiness for Si Tu Mo.

Si Tu Mo then shared her excitement with her roommates, announcing her acceptance and impending move out of the dorm once again. Later, in the cafeteria, Si Tu Mo and Meng Lu were eating when Meng Lu greeted her boyfriend, Ah Ke. To Si Tu Mo's surprise, Gu Weiyi was with him, and it was then she discovered that Ah Ke and Gu Weiyi were roommates.

Feeling completely out of the loop, Si Tu Mo remarked that she felt like she had been fast-forwarded in life. As the four sat together, Meng Lu revealed her plan for a club gathering, primarily to earn academic credits, proposing a relaxing trip to the beach before their internships began. She earnestly persuaded Si Tu Mo to join, then, almost as an afterthought, asked Gu Weiyi if he would come along.

To Si Tu Mo's astonishment, Gu Weiyi readily agreed, even clarifying that he liked the beach. After dinner, Meng Lu and Ah Ke left for their date, leaving Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi alone. Meanwhile, back in the dorm, Fu Pei overheard Ah Ke on the phone making arrangements for the upcoming trip. Si Tu Mo asked Gu Weiyi if he was free that afternoon to help her move, promising to treat him to watermelon.

Gu Weiyi readily agreed, carrying her luggage to his apartment. Once there, he asked her to retrieve his keys from his bag. Si Tu Mo, searching the outer pocket, found and instinctively pulled out the same tin box she had mistakenly taken at the supermarket, thinking it was chewing gum. As she opened it, both she and Gu Weiyi's eyes widened in mutual embarrassment upon realizing it contained condoms.

Gu Weiyi instinctively tried to stop her, claiming it wasn't his, but Si Tu Mo realized she had mistakenly picked it up at the supermarket. After an awkward moment, Si Tu Mo offered to throw them away. When Gu Weiyi questioned if she really wanted to, she playfully asked why he had them in his bag, hinting at "activity tonight." Gu Weiyi, with a surprisingly calm demeanor, simply replied, "You want to join?"

Their daily life settled into a comfortable rhythm. Later, Si Tu Mo brought watermelon into Gu Weiyi's room and casually asked him if he had seen the "contract" her mother had sent him. Gu Weiyi earnestly denied taking it, assuring her he wouldn't stoop to hiding it or conspiring with her mother to threaten her. Their cohabitation proceeded smoothly; they enjoyed playing games together, despite Si Tu Mo consistently losing.

She would often wait up for him in the living room when he returned home late, a testament to their growing bond. The day for the beach trip arrived. Meng Lu and Ah Ke drove to pick up Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi. When Si Tu Mo opened the car door, she was surprised to see Fu Pei and Wang Shan already inside.

Gu Weiyi quickly slid into the back seat, allowing Si Tu Mo to enter the car without direct confrontation. Upon arriving at the beach, the group set about pitching tents before enjoying the water. Inside one of the tents, Si Tu Mo, preparing to change, saw Wang Shan styling her hair with her back turned. Si Tu Mo initially asked Meng Lu for help with her own hair, but then naturally stepped forward to assist Wang Shan.

As Wang Shan turned and saw Si Tu Mo, she abruptly suggested, "Let's have a fair competition." Si Tu Mo, understanding her meaning, smiled and clarified that she no longer had feelings for Fu Pei, assuring Wang Shan that her decision was absolutely not influenced by her. A shared smile between them resolved the unspoken tension. Later, Si Tu Mo struggled to fly a kite, which eventually crashed into Gu Weiyi.

Gu Weiyi effortlessly took the kite, making it soar high in the sky, then handed the string back to Si Tu Mo. As Si Tu Mo held the string, her gaze drifted to Fu Pei, and she mused aloud that some people are like kites, constantly flying away once someone else holds their string, never considering that the person holding it might grow tired. Gu Weiyi, hearing this, calmly took out a lighter and burned the kite string, severing it.

A furious Si Tu Mo immediately began chasing him across the sand. As they walked along the beach, Si Tu Mo, finding various objects like shells, excitedly asked Gu Weiyi about them, wondering if one was a gem or if she could truly hear the ocean in a conch.

Gu Weiyi, however, provided a detailed scientific explanation for everything, including that the "ocean sound" in a conch was merely the sound of blood flowing in one's own brain combined with air. His factual and somewhat dismissive responses dampened Si Tu Mo's enthusiasm, leading her to walk away in frustration.

Episode 8 Recap

On the beach, Gu Weiyi and Fu Pei simultaneously spotted and picked up shells, then presented them to Si Tu Mo. Si Tu Mo remarked to Meng Lu that the scene was eerily similar to her cat's habit of bringing dead cockroaches and rats to her. That evening, as everyone enjoyed a barbecue and Meng Lu's boyfriend Ak played guitar and sang, Gu Weiyi noticed Fu Pei looking at Si Tu Mo.

Gu Weiyi sat beside Fu Pei and directly asked about his thoughts on Si Tu Mo, emphasizing that this was important to him. He then questioned Fu Pei about his relationship with Wang Shan. Fu Pei questioned if Si Tu Mo had prompted him, then asked if a girl who stole grilled sausage was truly worth such concern. Gu Weiyi firmly replied that she was.

This left Fu Pei so surprised that he accidentally burned his hand, then stood up and walked away despondently. Si Tu Mo encouraged Wang Shan to go check on him. Wang Shan kindly helped Fu Pei apply medicine to his burn, which she noted was quite serious.

Fu Pei then asked if she liked him, which Wang Shan quickly denied, saying she only wanted him to treat her to a meal because Si Tu Mo had told her he was generous. Wang Shan then challenged Fu Pei to pass his CET-4 if he truly felt sorry.

Noticing Fu Pei's gaze drifting back to Si Tu Mo, Wang Shan asked him hypothetically what he would do if he liked someone for a long time but feared losing them by confessing. Wang Shan advised him to confess, and if he still lost her, to end it smartly and move on.

Gu Weiyi instructed everyone to move and re-secure their tents, explaining that they were too close to the sea, where strong winds and high tides could make them unsafe without proper anchoring. He asked Si Tu Mo to help him. Si Tu Mo joked about falling, and Gu Weiyi playfully told her to just get up. Finding no hammer, Si Tu Mo creatively used Meng Lu's high heels to hammer in the tent stakes, much to Gu Weiyi's amusement.

Later that night, Gu Weiyi, unable to sleep, noticed Si Tu Mo outside taking selfies. They sat and chatted, and Si Tu Mo mentioned she was hungry. Gu Weiyi led her to the beach to find food, effortlessly catching a live crab and a mantis prawn. When Si Tu Mo wondered how they would cook them without fire, Gu Weiyi teased her about trying to start a fire by drilling wood. He then grilled the seafood over an open fire.

When Si Tu Mo asked for salt, Gu Weiyi used seawater, scientifically explaining the average salinity of seawater and that the high temperature of the fire would ensure everything was safe to eat. Si Tu Mo playfully called him her "Doraemon" for being so helpful. Gu Weiyi declined a grilled mantis prawn, citing an allergy and its resemblance to a giant cockroach, prompting Si Tu Mo to tease him about "sour grapes."

As the trip concluded, the group decided to take two cars. Si Tu Mo, Gu Weiyi, Fu Pei, and Wang Shan rode together. Since Fu Pei's hand was injured, Gu Weiyi drove, and Si Tu Mo sat in the passenger seat to navigate. Eventually, Si Tu Mo fell asleep, and Gu Weiyi thoughtfully lowered the sun visor and turned down the car stereo to ensure her comfort.

Back home, Gu Weiyi pointed out the robot to Si Tu Mo, telling her someone was waiting, which initially made her think her mother had arrived. Upon seeing it was just the robot, Si Tu Mo, unimpressed, suggested Gu Weiyi name it. Gu Weiyi found the idea appealing and, after a moment of thought, named the robot "Circle," believing the name perfectly suited its appearance. Si Tu Mo quietly exited the room.

Si Tu Mo reported for her new internship, where she was introduced to Director Sha Sha. Li Na, the Creative Executive Director, then showed Si Tu Mo to her workstation and instructed her to retrieve a roll-up banner sample from downstairs. While carrying the banner, Si Tu Mo accidentally bumped into Xu Jie Er, her former high school classmate, who was also starting an internship in the same department.

Si Tu Mo led Xu Jie Er to Director Sha Sha, who greeted Xu Jie Er with unexpected warmth and promptly dismissed Si Tu Mo. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi returned to the new campus to conduct experiments. Professor Jiang told Xie Yu Yin to prioritize her Master's thesis and refrain from participating in the current experiment.

Xie Yu Yin earnestly argued to remain in the experiment, even boasting that she could complete a challenging calculation quickly, which the professor seemed to doubt. Gu Weiyi offered to help Xie Yu Yin with the computation. Later, as Si Tu Mo left work, she encountered Fu Pei in the lobby holding a flower, seemingly wanting to apologize. Finding his presence odd, Si Tu Mo tried to avoid him.

At that moment, Xu Jie Er approached and directly asked Si Tu Mo and Fu Pei if they were still a couple. Si Tu Mo immediately denied it and quickly found an excuse to leave. Back at home, Si Tu Mo received a package and called her mother to ask what she had sent. Her mother explained she had specially made sauced beef for Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi to enjoy with their meals.

Si Tu Mo complained about the trouble, questioning if she was truly her mother's biological child and grumbling about having to take care of Gu Weiyi. That night, Gu Weiyi stayed late at the lab, helping a senior analyze data. Si Tu Mo waited up for him, growing irritated when he told her over the phone that he would be staying in the lab.

Frustrated, she accidentally tripped over the robot and angrily muttered to it, "Your dad isn't coming home tonight, don't you care?" The next morning, Si Tu Mo woke to find Gu Weiyi had indeed not returned. Gu Weiyi had worked through the night, finishing the data just as dawn broke. Professor Jiang, reviewing the results, found them unbelievable and instructed Gu Weiyi to re-verify the calculations.

Gu Weiyi, still drowsy, didn't immediately respond, prompting the professor to scold him for his attitude. Xie Yu Yin then confessed that Gu Weiyi had performed the majority of the calculations. Zhou Lei expressed disbelief, challenging Gu Weiyi to demonstrate the calculation on the spot. Gu Weiyi did so, proving his capability. Despite this, Professor Jiang allowed Xie Yu Yin to participate in the experiment.

Exhausted, Gu Weiyi then stated his desire to return home and sleep, leaving Zhou Lei feeling frustrated once more. That afternoon, Si Tu Mo returned home from work, utterly exhausted, and collapsed onto the sofa. She wondered why Gu Weiyi still wasn't back and called him again, only to hear his phone ring from inside his room, bringing a happy smile to her face.

Meanwhile, Fu Pei's father took him and his new assistant, Aunt Ling Ling, to a highly-rated Michelin-starred restaurant. Fu Pei openly defied his father regarding his actions, leading to a heated argument outside the restaurant where his father slapped him. His father angrily lectured him, accusing Fu Pei's mother of returning only for his money, not for him. Fu Pei, with tear-filled eyes, retaliated against his father's words.

Later that evening, Si Tu Mo heard Gu Weiyi return to his room. She entered to find him in a deep sleep and, in a moment of playful concern, leaned in to check his breathing, half-joking thinking he might be dead. That night, the two watched a horror movie. Si Tu Mo, terrified, stress-ate the sauced beef, even ordering Gu Weiyi to slice more.

When the doorbell suddenly rang, startling Si Tu Mo, Gu Weiyi calmly asserted that a girl shouldn't open the door late at night and went to open it himself. He also informed Si Tu Mo that he knew her phone's gesture password because she had used it many times in front of him, advising her to choose a more complex one. Lastly, Gu Weiyi asked her to send him all the photos they had taken at the beach.

Episode 9 Recap

As night fell, a sudden knock on the door startled Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi quickly opened it, holding a cleaver, and firmly told Si Tu Mo that girls shouldn't open the door late at night, then asked if she was okay. Fu Pei stood outside and asked Si Tu Mo to talk privately, to which she agreed to step out. As Si Tu Mo stepped outside, Fu Pei immediately grabbed her, pleading for another chance.

Si Tu Mo struggled, telling him to let go, while Gu Weiyi stood watching from inside the apartment, initially telling them to continue their conversation before stepping back to give them space. Fu Pei reluctantly released her, and Si Tu Mo quickly ran back inside. Inside, Gu Weiyi asked Si Tu Mo why Fu Pei had come looking for her.

Si Tu Mo was hesitant but eventually explained that Fu Pei had confessed his desire to be with her, but she rejected him. Fu Pei had pressed her, asking why she suddenly didn't like him anymore and if he was expendable to her, questioning why she had pretended she would never leave him. Si Tu Mo explained that her feelings hadn't changed suddenly; rather, his repeated instances of running away had made her realize the truth.

She recalled instances like him denying their relationship in front of Xu Jie Er, letting go of her hand on the bridge, and failing to show up after promising to, all of which she tried to rationalize away. However, when he asked her to introduce him to a girlfriend, and especially when she saw him with Wang Shan, she realized she no longer felt sad because of him. She felt sad because she finally realized she didn't love him anymore.

Just as Si Tu Mo was about to suggest buying him medicine, Fu Pei grabbed her again, desperately asking for one last chance. Si Tu Mo, with tears in her eyes, firmly told him she truly didn't like him anymore, then broke free and ran home. Gu Weiyi further pressed for details, and Si Tu Mo revealed they had "a fight." Concern immediately etched Gu Weiyi’s face as he asked if Fu Pei had hit her.

Si Tu Mo quickly corrected him, admitting she was the one who hit Fu Pei because he wouldn't stop mumbling after she rejected him. Hearing this, Gu Weiyi couldn't suppress a small smile, quickly excusing himself to his room to continue chuckling, seemingly unaffected even when Si Tu Mo playfully threw a drink at him. Meanwhile, a dejected Fu Pei walked back to his dorm, where Wang Shan was waiting. Seeing his injured face, she lovingly applied medicine for him.

Fu Pei confided that Si Tu Mo had rejected his confession and he felt unlikable. Wang Shan tenderly told him that she liked him and was willing to wait for him. Fu Pei, however, claimed he didn't deserve her, admitting he was timid because he always wanted to escape awkward situations and couldn't refuse others, which made people think he was fickle.

Wang Shan disagreed, reminding him of his bravery when he saved her at the street stall and stating that she knew he had only ever truly cared for Si Tu Mo. She further asserted that her feelings were real and she was more than a match for him, promising to stick by him for the next few days and that she wouldn't give up on him. Fu Pei seemed slightly comforted by her words.

Si Tu Mo was at her internship company's meeting, brainstorming creative ideas for an insurance company. As she was replying to a message from the school about overdue graduation theses, her colleague called on her to share her ideas. Si Tu Mo confidently proposed ideas ranging from scaring consumers with the possibility of unexpected accidents, highlighting parental love, to focusing on the benefits of insurance.

After the meeting, she requested leave to submit her thesis, which was granted with a reminder to minimize absences. She then took a call from Wang Shan, who cryptically said she had something important to tell her once Si Tu Mo was back at school. Later, at the university, while printing her thesis, Si Tu Mo unexpectedly encountered Gu Weiyi and his senior, Xie Yu Yin.

Xie Yu Yin directly asked Gu Weiyi if Si Tu Mo was his girlfriend, to which Gu Weiyi playfully responded, "How did you know?" Si Tu Mo, flustered, quickly clarified that they were not a couple, explaining that the previous "girlfriend" statement was a lie she told to their counselor to help Gu Weiyi get into Professor Jiang's lab. This clarification caused Xie Yu Yin to visibly brighten.

Gu Weiyi, noticing this, quietly simmered with annoyance and deliberately leaned close to Xie Yu Yin while they waited for the printer, a gesture that caused a hint of jealousy in Si Tu Mo. Wang Shan then revealed her big news: she had confessed her feelings to Fu Pei. Si Tu Mo was not surprised and, rather than being upset, expressed sympathy for Wang Shan, joking that Fu Pei was a "scum."

Wang Shan playfully retorted, suggesting Gu Weiyi was equally "scummy." The two friends, having aired their thoughts, happily reconciled their friendship. Back at the dorm, they found Meng Lu frantically rushing to complete her thesis. Meng Lu, desperate to escape the academic pressure, begged Si Tu Mo to let her stay at her apartment, but Si Tu Mo firmly refused.

Just then, Gu Weiyi called Si Tu Mo, informing her that his mother had arrived and wanted to treat Si Tu Mo to dinner. Despite Si Tu Mo's "elder phobia" and initial reluctance, she agreed and went with Gu Weiyi to the restaurant to meet his mother. At the restaurant, a visibly nervous Si Tu Mo sat down, unsure how to act. Gu Weiyi's mother soon arrived, and Si Tu Mo quickly stood up to greet her.

Gu Weiyi's mother was delighted to see them and, remembering Gu Weiyi's supposed favorite, suggested ordering mantis prawns. Gu Weiyi, who was allergic, quickly interjected, trying to correct her. His mother insisted she remembered him eating them as a child, leading to an awkward back-and-forth about his childhood, with Gu Weiyi stating his mother didn't have time for him as a child. They eventually settled on ordering fish.

After dinner, Gu Weiyi, despite his mother expressing a desire for tea upstairs, quickly arranged a taxi for her, citing her tendency to get insomnia from evening tea. Si Tu Mo, impressed by Gu Weiyi's seemingly effortless way of handling his mother, tried to ask for tips on dealing with her own talkative mother, but Gu Weiyi misunderstood her intentions, thinking she wanted to know about his family, and walked away, seemingly annoyed.

Later, Meng Lu was seen on the phone, coordinating with her boyfriend for the upcoming Double 11 Carnival, reminding him to be ready to grab items online. She then remembered Si Tu Mo's birthday was approaching and decided to get her a gift, with Gu Weiyi expressing surprise that he had almost forgotten. The following Saturday morning, Si Tu Mo planned to enjoy a quiet breakfast with Gu Weiyi, having already rejected Meng Lu's earlier call about visiting.

However, the peace was shattered when her roommates unexpectedly arrived, shouting "Surprise!" and "Happy Birthday!" Si Tu Mo was immediately worried about the chaos they would bring and Gu Weiyi's reaction, trying to shoo them away. But Gu Weiyi, seeing their enthusiasm, simply welcomed them inside, suggesting their visit could be her birthday gift, playfully allowing them to mess up his home for Si Tu Mo's happiness.

Meanwhile, Fu Pei's roommate, 'Fatty,' invited Fu Pei to Si Tu Mo's birthday, but Fu Pei declined. As the birthday festivities began, Meng Lu insisted on sticking balloons directly onto the wall. Si Tu Mo looked at Gu Weiyi nervously, worried about the marks they would leave. Gu Weiyi, however, readily agreed to let Meng Lu put the balloons on the wall and even helped her by using friction to make them stick.

After Si Tu Mo made a wish and they cut the cake, they played a game. Si Tu Mo lost and was tasked with staring into the eyes of someone wearing the same color as her for thirty seconds. Since Gu Weiyi was the only one wearing a similar shade of yellow, they were paired up. As they gazed into each other's eyes, they visibly became lost in the moment.

The game continued, and in the next round, Gu Weiyi was "framed" and received a punishment: he had to take a selfie with someone he liked. Immediately after hearing the instruction, he stood up and quickly headed out of the apartment.

Episode 10 Recap

The night of the birthday party, Si Tu Mo checks on a drunken Gu Weiyi sleeping on the sofa. As she does, he momentarily wakes up, kisses her, and immediately falls back asleep. Stunned and annoyed, Si Tu Mo wants to leave him to freeze but ultimately covers him with a blanket.

That night, she has a vivid dream where Gu Weiyi prepares a romantic breakfast for her with heart-shaped food and confesses that he has liked her for a long time. In her dream, she happily reciprocates his feelings, but a popping balloon wakes her up. The next morning, Si Tu Mo eagerly anticipates a real confession, only to find that Gu Weiyi has no memory of the previous night's kiss.

He only asks if he was a bother and mentions that he cleaned up the balloons. Disappointed and upset, she leaves for her internship without eating breakfast, leaving a confused Gu Weiyi wondering what he did wrong. Meanwhile, Wang Shan and Fu Pei spontaneously decide to go on a "practice date" while studying together. Fu Pei puts away his phone, where he was hesitating to text Si Tu Mo, as Wang Shan arrives dressed up for their outing.

In the university lab, Xie Yu Yin brings warming ginger tea for Gu Weiyi due to a cold wave. Professor Jiang scoffs at the idea, claiming he never needs such things. However, his wife, Pei Lan, soon arrives and forces him and the students to drink three large bowls of the tea each, much to his chagrin. At her internship meeting, Si Tu Mo's art director dismisses most of the team's proposals as "old-fashioned" and "boring."

She notes that only the ideas from interns Si Tu Mo and Jie Er were "acceptable," but still too "unprofessional." The project is subsequently reassigned to another department, causing Si Tu Mo's colleagues to grumble about interns getting undeserved credit, unaware that Jie Er did not contribute to the praised proposal. Wang Shan and Fu Pei's date is overshadowed by Fu Pei's lingering feelings for Si Tu Mo.

He mistakenly calls out Si Tu Mo's name while they play a crane machine game. Later, Wang Shan points out that he keeps suggesting things Si Tu Mo likes, telling him she dislikes spicy food, horror films, and Doraemon. She encourages him to message Si Tu Mo if he wants to clear the air. That evening, Gu Weiyi texts Si Tu Mo that he will be working late and won't be home.

Still annoyed, she replies that it's "best not to come back" and that she'll watch a new horror movie by herself. However, Gu Weiyi starts feeling sick from the cold, and Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei send him home to rest. He happily leaves after reading her text. When Si Tu Mo leaves work, Fu Pei is waiting for her.

Her colleague, Jie Er, joins them and insists on treating them to hotpot to thank Si Tu Mo for her help with the proposal. During dinner, Si Tu Mo tells Fu Pei that while they can be friends, she is still angry about the past and needs space. She also advises him not to treat Wang Shan the way he treated her before she leaves.

Upon returning home, Si Tu Mo is confronted by a sulking Gu Weiyi, who is jealous about the smell of hotpot on her clothes. When she explains she was with Fu Pei and a colleague, he becomes angry and retreats to his room. The next morning at the bus stop, he gives her the cold shoulder, getting on the bus alone and leaving her behind. At the lab, Gu Weiyi’s sullen mood makes everyone tense.

He finally confides in Zhou Lei and Professor Jiang, admitting he's upset and afraid of losing the girl he likes after she had dinner with her ex-boyfriend. After suggesting fighting the ex or talking to a counselor, Professor Jiang gives Gu Weiyi a book titled "How to Tackle a Pretty Girl," a manual he claims helped him win over his wife. Gu Weiyi immediately begins following the book's advice.

Back home, he fakes a concerned phone call in front of Si Tu Mo. When she mentions she has menstrual cramps, he follows the manual’s instruction to praise qualities other than appearance, awkwardly telling her she is "strong" and folds clothes "very well." Later, he tries to discuss "sex-related topics" by bringing up the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee, an endangered species that can't mate because a parasitic fungus makes them too fat. Si Tu Mo is amused until Gu Weiyi mentions he learned it from an "Atlantic Monthly" magazine that Xie Yu Yin

Episode 11 Recap

Professor Jiang inquired about Gu Weiyi's progress in pursuing Si Tu Mo, to which Gu Weiyi admitted that despite trying both the most logical and most illogical methods, success remained elusive. Their conversation was interrupted by Zhou Lei, who accused Professor Jiang of giving Gu Weiyi special treatment and demanded an explanation. Professor Jiang clarified he was merely assisting Gu Weiyi in dating, but Zhou Lei remained skeptical, insisting on seeing the book Professor Jiang had given him.

Since Gu Weiyi didn't have it, Professor Jiang called his wife, Pei Lan, who promptly arrived with a copy from the same series. Pei Lan then offered her own advice, humorously chiding her husband for his "lousy ideas" while revealing that Professor Jiang had won her heart by writing her a love poem every day, citing the line "Wind of Autumn, blooming of flowers, As if we meet each other again."

Gu Weiyi seemed to take this to heart, while Professor Jiang beamed with pride over his past romantic prowess. Inspired by Pei Lan, Gu Weiyi meticulously crafted a love letter at home, complete with scientific formulas and drawings of a cat. He presented his work to Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei, who lauded its sincerity and originality, even praising his unexpected literary flair. With their encouragement, Gu Weiyi felt confident.

Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo discovered a power cut notice at her apartment. Feeling cold, especially during her period, she called Gu Weiyi to ask him to buy warming patches. Gu Weiyi, already downstairs, urged her to come out, revealing that it was snowing. Overjoyed at the sight of snow, a rare occurrence for her, Si Tu Mo ran outside, delightedly spinning around. Gu Weiyi, captivated by her joy, offered her the love letter.

Si Tu Mo, however, was bewildered by the dense formulas, mistaking them for his "class notes" and accusing him of showing off his difficult studies. Gu Weiyi attempted to explain the Schrödinger Equation, but Si Tu Mo, more interested in warmth and comfort, declared she didn't understand and suggested they buy roasted chestnuts instead, pulling him along.

At the chestnut stall, Si Tu Mo expressed her regret at never having made a snowman, envying Gu Weiyi's northern background and assuming he must have seen real snowmen. Noticing Si Tu Mo's thin attire, the vendor suggested she take more chestnuts to warm herself. Gu Weiyi, acting on this cue, promptly removed his jacket and gently placed it around her shoulders. The close proximity made Si Tu Mo blush, recalling their previous kiss.

Upon returning home, Gu Weiyi surprised her with Doraemon-themed warming patches, which delighted Si Tu Mo. Later, in their "Physics of Love" group chat, Professor Jiang pressed Gu Weiyi about the confession's success. Gu Weiyi reluctantly admitted Si Tu Mo didn't understand. Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei immediately called him, perplexed by her confusion, explaining that the Schrödinger equation was meant to convey that she was "the structure of your everything" and would make his life "more complete."

After learning Si Tu Mo's major was accounting, Professor Jiang advised Gu Weiyi to try a math-based approach. Following Professor Jiang's new directive, Gu Weiyi presented Si Tu Mo with a complex math problem. Si Tu Mo, feeling insulted and annoyed, dismissed it as another attempt to "trouble her with science" and refused to solve it. Gu Weiyi, puzzled by her reaction, shared the problem in the "Physics of Love" group.

Zhou Lei quickly solved it, revealing it formed a heart shape, and bluntly stated that Si Tu Mo clearly didn't like Gu Weiyi. Undeterred, Professor Jiang encouraged Gu Weiyi to use the "direct" poetic method he had taught him. Gu Weiyi approached Si Tu Mo again, reciting, "Wind of Autumn, blooming of flowers, As if we meet each other again."

Si Tu Mo, entirely missing the romantic sentiment, humorously retorted, "Wind of Autumn, yummy crabs, it is nicer when you add chillies," before declaring she was going to bed and playfully calling him a "rascal." Disappointed, Gu Weiyi later found himself unable to sleep. He quietly went to Si Tu Mo's room and turned on her air conditioning. Then, he went outside, built a tiny snowman, and carefully placed it in the freezer.

The next morning, Gu Weiyi updated Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei on his latest failed attempt, with Zhou Lei reiterating his belief that the girl simply didn't like him. Xie Yu Yin returned to the lab, prompting Zhou Lei to express concern about her not being fully recovered and potentially infecting everyone, leading to a brief argument between them. By lunchtime, Gu Weiyi appeared unwell, likely due to his late-night snowman building in the cold.

Xie Yu Yin, noticing his discomfort, tried to check his forehead, but Gu Weiyi instinctively pulled away. Zhou Lei, realizing Gu Weiyi had a fever, dramatically jumped back, fearing contagion, and suggested he go to the hospital. Despite his overly cautious behavior, Zhou Lei later returned with a container of claypot rice from the 2nd canteen for Gu Weiyi, wearing what looked like a full hazmat suit to protect himself.

He insisted Gu Weiyi eat and go home, having already applied for leave on his behalf. Xie Yu Yin also brought antipyretic medicine for Gu Weiyi, expressing genuine concern as she had recently been ill herself. Meanwhile, Fu Pei, visibly upset, got into a minor altercation on the basketball court. Wang Shan was by his side, comforting him and trying to understand the source of his recent distress. Gu Weiyi, feeling increasingly unwell, returned home as advised.

Si Tu Mo and Miss Li Na were at the supermarket, purchasing numerous bottles of orange juice. Miss Li Na explained her work habit of comparing products and then tasked Si Tu Mo with taking all the juice home, conducting a comparative analysis, and writing a report by Monday. Si Tu Mo reluctantly agreed. Arriving home laden with bags, she realized she had forgotten her keys. She called Gu Weiyi, immediately noticing the change in his voice.

He admitted he had a fever and was at home. When she asked if he had medicine, Gu Weiyi, looking at the medicine Xie Yu Yin had given him, replied he didn't. Si Tu Mo, concerned, told him to wait and that she would buy some. Shortly after, someone knocked on Gu Weiyi's door.

Expecting Si Tu Mo, he eagerly opened it, only to find Xie Yu Yin, who claimed she was there to drop off his unfinished experiment report and check on him, having gotten his address from Zhou Lei. Moments later, Si Tu Mo arrived home and was met by Xie Yu Yin opening the door from inside, a sight that visibly displeased Si Tu Mo. Xie Yu Yin urged Gu Weiyi to take the medicine she had brought, but he hesitated.

Si Tu Mo, asserting her presence, took the medicine from Xie Yu Yin's hand, handed it to Gu Weiyi, and instructed him to take it, which he promptly did without further protest. After Gu Weiyi completed Xie Yu Yin's report data, she departed. As Gu Weiyi helped Si Tu Mo put the abundant orange juice into the refrigerator, he subtly tried to guide her toward the freezer, hoping she would discover the snowman.

However, when Si Tu Mo eventually opened the freezer, she found only melted snow, a branch, some wolfberries, and a leaf, looking utterly confused as to what it was. Gu Weiyi offered no explanation, simply stating he was going to sleep. Concerned by Gu Weiyi's illness, Si Tu Mo called Wang Shan for advice on cooking porridge.

Wang Shan agreed to help and, seeing an opportunity, decided to bring Fu Pei along, hoping to facilitate a reconciliation between him and Si Tu Mo. Unbeknownst to Si Tu Mo, Gu Weiyi, still fixated on his earlier decision to improve his appearance, visited a barber shop, adamantly requesting a specific, somewhat unflattering hairstyle that resembled a "toilet lid," despite the barber's persistent attempts to dissuade him.

Episode 12 Recap

Despite his initial reluctance, Fu Pei accompanied Wang Shan to Si Tu Mo’s apartment. Upon their arrival, Si Tu Mo was deeply concerned for Gu Weiyi, who was suffering from a high fever. She offered him water and a thermometer. Gu Weiyi, feeling unwell, asked Si Tu Mo to stay by his side while he took his temperature, but she simply stated she would monitor him from a distance.

Setting a ten-minute timer, Gu Weiyi patiently waited, hoping Si Tu Mo would return. As soon as the timer went off, Si Tu Mo entered the room, checked the thermometer, and gently touched Gu Weiyi’s forehead. Gu Weiyi obediently sat still as she confirmed his high fever of 38. 3 degrees Celsius. Si Tu Mo insisted on taking him to the hospital, but Gu Weiyi, fearful of needles, stubbornly refused and stayed in bed.

With Gu Weiyi still ill, Si Tu Mo decided to go out to buy ingredients for porridge for him, specifically dried tangerine peel. Wang Shan, seeing an opportunity for the two to clear the air, suggested that Fu Pei accompany Si Tu Mo on this errand.

As they walked, Si Tu Mo received a call from Gu Weiyi’s mother, Aunt Xu, who explained that Gu Weiyi frequently falls ill with changes in weather and is terrified of injections, never agreeing to go to the hospital. Si Tu Mo assured her that Gu Weiyi had a fever but that she would take good care of him and make sure he took his medicine.

After the call, Fu Pei tried to initiate conversation by reminiscing about their high school days, particularly an incident where he was comically involved in someone fainting during a vaccination. Si Tu Mo, however, sharply retorted that she preferred seeing ghosts to seeing him, then firmly told him that she no longer liked him. She directly asked Fu Pei if he liked Wang Shan.

Fu Pei admitted he was unsure, which angered Si Tu Mo, who retorted, "You should go to hell!" Stunned and heartbroken, Fu Pei watched her walk away. Upon returning home, Si Tu Mo found a visibly upset Gu Weiyi on the sofa, giving her the cold shoulder. He sternly told her to notify him in advance if she brought friends home in the future, leaving Si Tu Mo baffled by his sudden coldness.

The next morning, Si Tu Mo checked if Gu Weiyi’s fever had subsided and offered him a bowl of white porridge she had made. Gu Weiyi, still acting distant, accepted the porridge but remained unresponsive, much to Si Tu Mo’s annoyance, leading her to sarcastically remark that he should ask his senior to take care of him if he preferred.

Meanwhile, Wang Shan accompanied Fu Pei to his CET-4 exam, having even scouted his exam room and prepared all necessary supplies for him. As he sat down to take the test, Fu Pei reflected on Si Tu Mo’s harsh words and Wang Shan’s unwavering support, realizing the depth of her feelings for him and that he had something to tell her after the exam.

Back at home, Si Tu Mo conducted experiments with various orange juices for a company advertisement, deliberately making noise to attract Gu Weiyi’s attention. Gu Weiyi eventually emerged from his room to get water but still avoided speaking to her. In the exam hall, Fu Pei diligently answered questions, remembering Wang Shan’s encouraging words to recheck his answers and not submit early.

Later, Xie Yuyin arrived at the apartment, stating she was sent by the laboratory to check on Gu Weiyi and deliver a package for him that had been sent to the lab. Gu Weiyi continued to ignore Si Tu Mo, but she maintained her composure and tidied the table, urging him to open the package.

It contained a microscope, which Si Tu Mo didn't recognize, but Xie Yuyin immediately identified it as a sophisticated polarized microscope with advanced functions, noting it was intended for the lab. Feeling overlooked and jealous, Si Tu Mo caused a commotion in the apartment. Oblivious to her irritation, Gu Weiyi casually mentioned that he and Xie Yuyin were going out for dinner and didn't invite Si Tu Mo.

During dinner, Gu Weiyi scrolled through Si Tu Mo’s social media and saw her post about finishing "a pot of porridge," along with comments from her friends. He suddenly realized that she had made the porridge for him out of concern, and a wave of emotion swept over him. He immediately left the restaurant to go home. He found Si Tu Mo downstairs, taking out the trash.

She instructed him to tear off the address label from the microscope package due to personal information, commenting that it was addressed to the "new campus," even though he worked at the old one. Just then, Xie Yuyin called Gu Weiyi with a question. Gu Weiyi, finding Si Tu Mo endearing as she diligently handled the trash, continued his conversation with Xie Yuyin, further fueling Si Tu Mo's jealousy.

Wang Shan confessed her feelings to Fu Pei again, admitting her deep affection for him but unsure of his feelings. Fu Pei, after some reflection, admitted that he was selfish and had been deceiving himself by pretending not to like her, especially after Si Tu Mo "scolded" him. He then confessed his strong feelings for Wang Shan and vowed to wait for her acceptance. Moved by his sincerity, Wang Shan happily agreed to be with him.

Back at the apartment, Si Tu Mo muttered to herself, still seething over Gu Weiyi’s interaction with Xie Yuyin. While pouring water, she accidentally broke a mug. Gu Weiyi immediately emerged from his room to help clean up, but Si Tu Mo loudly told him not to bother. When Gu Weiyi instructed her to clean the floor properly, Si Tu Mo retorted, "It’s definitely not as clean as your senior cleaned it!"

Gu Weiyi, misunderstanding her meaning, innocently agreed that Xie Yuyin always kept the lab perfectly clean. At that moment, their robot vacuum, Circle, charged forward to clean the broken glass and was accidentally damaged. Gu Weiyi tenderly picked up Circle, expressing concern for its injury. Still furious, Si Tu Mo sarcastically offered, "Do you want me to take its life?" The argument ended on a sour note.

Despite their lingering disagreement, Si Tu Mo couldn't bear to see Circle injured and later affixed a Doraemon bandage to it. Gu Weiyi, noticing the bandage, was touched. The next morning, both still maintained a polite distance. When Gu Weiyi arrived at the lab, Zhou Lei immediately pressed him about the microscope.

Gu Weiyi admitted he had forgotten it, prompting Prof. Jiang to playfully suggest that Gu Weiyi’s "girl" might have met her ex-boyfriend again, joking that this was the cause of his distraction. Just as they were speaking, Xie Yuyin arrived. Zhou Lei again brought up the microscope, and Xie Yuyin inadvertently blurted out that she had left it on Gu Weiyi’s side table.

Zhou Lei seized upon this, accusing Xie Yuyin and Gu Weiyi of excluding him from their research by going to Gu Weiyi's home alone. The two began bickering and stormed out. Prof. Jiang then advised Gu Weiyi that it was no wonder Si Tu Mo was upset; she was clearly jealous. Gu Weiyi, still clueless, took a moment to process this. Zhou Lei, the "God of Gossip," soon returned, much to Prof. Jiang’s exasperation.

Later, Si Tu Mo coincidentally encountered Xie Yuyin while topping up her student card at the cafeteria, and then again while they were both eating. During her meal, Si Tu Mo's friend probed whether she was concerned about Gu Weiyi spending time with Xie Yuyin, prompting Si Tu Mo to deny any worry, though her friend cautioned her that Gu Weiyi was attractive and others might pursue him.

Later, Xie Yuyin approached Si Tu Mo directly and asked if she was feeling better. She then stated that she did not appreciate Si Tu Mo's "self-sacrificing spirit," which was also affecting her. Finally, Xie Yuyin explicitly told Si Tu Mo that she hoped Si Tu Mo would leave Gu Weiyi's house.

Episode 13 Recap

Si Tu Mo finds herself questioned by her Senior in the canteen about the nature of her relationship with Gu Weiyi, given they live together but are not a couple. Si Tu Mo vehemently denies any romantic involvement, insisting their connection is purely platonic. She then turns the tables, asking if her Senior has feelings for Gu Weiyi.

The Senior readily admits her affection for him and mentions that he has already moved back to the new campus for his experiments. Just as they are speaking, Gu Weiyi arrives. Sensing the awkwardness, Si Tu Mo quickly pulls her friend Menglu away, insisting on treating her to a meal elsewhere. Gu Weiyi, upon entering, notices Si Tu Mo's hasty departure. In her haste, Si Tu Mo leaves behind her meal card and Menglu's phone in the canteen.

Gu Weiyi finds them and calls Menglu's phone. He informs Si Tu Mo that he has both items and instructs her to pick them up from him at the lab, as he has an urgent matter there. Si Tu Mo reassures Menglu that her phone is safe with Gu Weiyi. Menglu, who has a movie to catch with a boy named Ak, asks Si Tu Mo to drop her phone in the dorm later.

Si Tu Mo agrees to retrieve the items after their meal. When Si Tu Mo arrives at the lab, she sees Gu Weiyi enter a lecture hall. While waiting outside, she overhears a conversation between Gu Weiyi and his Senior. The Senior is holding Zhou Lei's kitten and asks Gu Weiyi if he thinks it's cute. Gu Weiyi replies, "Cute." Si Tu Mo, not seeing the kitten, misunderstands and believes Gu Weiyi called his Senior cute, making her instantly jealous.

Shortly after, Gu Weiyi emerges and hands Si Tu Mo the retrieved items. He offers to wait for her so they can walk home together. However, still fuming, Si Tu Mo curtly refuses, telling him not to waste his time. Gu Weiyi is left bewildered, wondering why she is suddenly angry again. As the day's experiments conclude, Prof. Jiang instructs Zhou Lei to clean the lab, chastising him for the mess caused by his kitten.

Unexpectedly, Gu Weiyi steps forward and offers to take on the cleaning duty himself. Zhou Lei, surprised, suspects that Prof. Jiang might be giving Gu Weiyi special tutoring. Gu Weiyi simply states he is waiting for someone. This prompts Zhou Lei to exclaim, "Oh, what is this thing called love!" before leaving. Later, Gu Weiyi waits outside Si Tu Mo's dorm, but she doesn't answer his calls. He encounters Prof. Jiang's wife, who is surprised to see him.

She sees Fu Pei and Wang Shan returning from a date and points them out as a loving couple who often study together, warning Gu Weiyi not to interfere with them. Fu Pei and Wang Shan greet Gu Weiyi, and he apologizes to Wang Shan. Fu Pei is curious, and Wang Shan clarifies it's about the time she took him to Si Tu Mo's house, which Fu Pei dismisses as a simple act of kindness.

Gu Weiyi and Fu Pei sit down for drinks. Gu Weiyi directly asks Fu Pei if he has clarified things with Si Tu Mo regarding Wang Shan. Fu Pei assures him that he and Si Tu Mo have "made it clear," explaining they both realized they didn't like each other anymore. He concludes, "She can fall for someone else, and I can be with Wang Shan. We're not holding each other back."

Gu Weiyi smiles, prompting Fu Pei to jokingly complain about being "hurt too deeply" by Si Tu Mo. Fu Pei then accuses Gu Weiyi of "snatching his girlfriend" and challenges him to a fight: if Gu Weiyi loses, he can no longer call Si Tu Mo by her nickname, "Momo." After her shower, Si Tu Mo notices Gu Weiyi's missed calls and returns his call. Gu Weiyi immediately asks why she didn't inform him of her return home.

Si Tu Mo dismisses his question, stating she was showering, and abruptly hangs up. Back with Fu Pei, Gu Weiyi is advised that Si Tu Mo "is not easy to handle." Gu Weiyi sternly corrects Fu Pei, insisting he refer to her only by her full name, "Si Tu Mo." Later, Gu Weiyi arrives at their apartment and rings the doorbell, playing the Doraemon theme song, but Si Tu Mo remains unimpressed.

Gu Weiyi then presents a glass of orange juice under a microscope. Si Tu Mo, captivated, leans in to observe the rapidly moving particles. As she asks if they are microorganisms, Gu Weiyi steps closer, explaining that they are tiny particles undergoing Brownian motion. Initially charmed, Si Tu Mo's mood quickly sours as she recalls Gu Weiyi's "cute" conversation with his Senior. Her jealousy resurfacing, she abruptly tells Gu Weiyi to return to his room.

Before leaving, Gu Weiyi hands her a gift. Though initially dismissive, Si Tu Mo opens it to discover a new, limited-edition Doraemon cup—an identical replacement for the one she had broken. Her anger dissipates, replaced by delight. The next day, Gu Weiyi brings his microscope to the lab. Zhou Lei, after trying it out, suggests Gu Weiyi take care of his kitten, as he is the only one living off-campus, but Gu Weiyi flatly refuses.

Meanwhile, at Si Tu Mo's advertising company, a meeting is held to announce a new spokesperson, Lin Zhicun. At the library, Gu Weiyi buys a book on advertising, speculating that Si Tu Mo's moodiness might be work-related, where he encounters Fu Pei and Wang Shan. Fu Pei, despite his own romantic struggles, confidently offers to teach Gu Weiyi how to handle a girl's anger. Separately, Jie Er shares photos of the handsome Lin Zhicun in the work chat.

Si Tu Mo reacts calmly, but when probed about her love life, she denies being in love, though a fleeting, soured smile appears as she thinks of Gu Weiyi and his "cute" comment. With Fu Pei's help, Gu Weiyi realizes Si Tu Mo got angry because she overheard him and his Senior with the kitten and misunderstood his comment about the "kitten" being "cute." Fu Pei confirms that she was jealous.

With a plan, Gu Weiyi returns to the lab and asks Zhou Lei for the kitten. Amused by the change of heart, Zhou Lei playfully makes him plead before handing over the cat. Gu Weiyi waits at the bus stop with the kitten, ignoring a girl who tries to flirt with him and walking straight to Si Tu Mo. She is instantly charmed by the kitten.

As they walk home, he explains it belongs to Zhou Lei, but then mentions that his Senior also thought the kitten was cutest at this age, which immediately reignites Si Tu Mo's jealousy, causing her to walk ahead angrily. Inside the elevator, Gu Weiyi receives a text from Fu Pei: "A tough girl can't fend off a persistent guy. Stick to her. Follow her wherever she goes." At home, Si Tu Mo retreats to her room.

Gu Weiyi follows, claiming he doesn't know how to care for the kitten. He explains he only brought it home to clear up the misunderstanding: in the stairwell, he was calling the "cat" cute, not his Senior. Realizing her jealousy is exposed, Si Tu Mo slams the door on him. Meanwhile, Fu Pei and Wang Shan enjoy a movie date, holding hands.

Gu Weiyi, who is allergic to cats, eventually lets the kitten out of his bag and is relieved when Si Tu Mo takes it. He tries to get closer to her, but she remains evasive. He proposes they clean the house together, but she declines, claiming their robot cleaner, Circle, is tired. Si Tu Mo gives the kitten a bath, naming it Si Tu Dingdang. When the kitten cries out, Gu Weiyi rushes in, concerned she was scratched.

Si Tu Mo playfully uses the kitten to tease him. In retaliation, Gu Weiyi threatens to kiss her. Si Tu Mo retorts, "It's not like we haven't kissed before," leaving him flustered as he tries to brush it off as a joke from when she was drunk.

Episode 14 Recap

Gu Weiyi was left bewildered after Si Tu Mo playfully mentioned he had kissed her before, implying it happened when he was drunk. He couldn't recall anything from that night after he fell asleep. As he brushed his teeth, he was still troubled, muttering about how he got drunk and simply fell asleep until morning. Si Tu Mo, overhearing him, became increasingly annoyed that he had forgotten.

Gu Weiyi lamented that he wished there was a recording function to confirm his hazy memories. Before Si Tu Mo left, he reminded her to zip up the cat's backpack, which further irritated her as she felt he was implying she was forgetful. Determined to make him remember, Si Tu Mo retrieved several cans of beer from the fridge and insisted he drink them. Despite his protests about needing to go to the lab, he complied under her intense gaze.

When he could drink no more, Si Tu Mo leaned in, urging him to concentrate, and the memory of him kissing her finally flooded his mind. He instinctively leaned in again, only for Si Tu Mo to push him away. Both of them were left feeling flustered and nervous. Still preoccupied with the morning's events, Gu Weiyi was in the lab, absentmindedly stirring chemicals with a pipette.

When Xie Yu Yin questioned his sudden interest in chemistry, he vaguely replied that he was attempting to make a simple antiseptic. Similarly, Si Tu Mo was distracted at her company. Her colleague, Jie Er, tried to discuss the orange juice advertisement proposal, but Si Tu Mo gave perfunctory responses, clearly lost in thought about Gu Weiyi. Meanwhile, in the lab, Zhou Lei immediately inquired about his kitten, asking Gu Weiyi if it missed him.

Prof. Jiang sternly rebuked Zhou Lei, accusing him of being distracted by "messy thoughts" like the kitten, which was why he consistently got the lowest marks in the group. Zhou Lei retorted, suggesting Prof. Jiang take the cat, as neither the lab nor the dorm (due to the dorm keeper, who is Prof. Jiang's wife) allowed pets. He blamed Prof. Jiang's family for his predicament, leaving the professor speechless.

Si Tu Mo, back at work, had to focus on arranging a meeting room for a 3 PM discussion on the design proposals. At the university basketball court, Wang Shan clearly asserted her claim over Fu Pei, actively engaging with him. Zhou Lei attempted to find someone to take Ding Dang for its vaccination appointment, but Gu Weiyi refused due to a professional exam, and their Senior declined as she was busy correcting her thesis.

Zhou Lei then set his sights on Prof. Jiang, claiming the professor was the "freest," but Prof. Jiang quickly dismissed the idea. Still distracted by his concern for the kitten, Zhou Lei continued to struggle with his experiments, drawing further criticism from Prof. Jiang. Meanwhile, at Si Tu Mo's company, a design meeting was underway. The art director was dissatisfied with the proposals, so Li Na, the creative director, stepped in to offer guidance.

She suggested approaching design by evaluating someone you like, much like measuring everything with a "perfect form." This sparked an idea in Si Tu Mo, who, after the meeting, created a detailed score sheet to evaluate Gu Weiyi's recent actions. Back in the lab, Gu Weiyi, still distressed by his forgotten kiss and subsequent rejection, sought Prof. Jiang's advice. Zhou Lei, eavesdropping, declared Gu Weiyi's actions amounted to harassment.

However, Prof. Jiang proposed a scientific approach to "conquer" Si Tu Mo, suggesting they formulate hypotheses. He outlined three possibilities: Si Tu Mo likes Gu Weiyi, hates him, or feels neutral. He warned that if Si Tu Mo disliked him, she might avoid communication. Therefore, he concluded, Gu Weiyi needed to find a romantic location where Si Tu Mo couldn't easily escape, forcing her to listen to his confession.

With this advice given, Prof. Jiang promptly left, presumably to take the kitten for its vaccination. Following Prof. Jiang's advice, Gu Weiyi went to Si Tu Mo's company to pick her up. While she was on a call, Si Tu Mo accidentally dropped her score sheet for Gu Weiyi. He quickly picked it up, saw his dismal negative ten score, and felt a pang of disappointment.

Despite Si Tu Mo stating she wasn't hungry after her tea break, Gu Weiyi tried to insist on getting food. As they walked, they encountered a stray kitten. Hoping to earn back some points, Gu Weiyi, despite his cat allergy, attempted to pick up the kitten, but it was a clumsy failure, not helping his score. Next, he tried to impress her with his intellect, calling Prof. Jiang and launching into a complex explanation of quantum physics.

However, Prof. Jiang, who was at the pet clinic spoiling Ding Dang after its vaccination, abruptly hung up, more concerned with feeding the kitten. Undeterred, Gu Weiyi then led Si Tu Mo to an amusement park, a romantic location he hoped would fit the professor's criteria. Si Tu Mo was thrilled by the amusement park itself and wanted to ride the roller coaster, but Gu Weiyi, finding it too noisy for a confession, insisted on the bumper cars.

He began to confess to her, but the chaotic nature of the bumper car game, with their car repeatedly getting hit, made a proper confession impossible. He even tried to suggest "one more time" to confess, but Si Tu Mo declined. After the bumper car chaos, Si Tu Mo encouraged Gu Weiyi to speak, but before he could, Prof. Jiang called, distressed that Ding Dang had suddenly stopped moving after its vaccination.

Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo immediately rushed to the pet clinic. Prof. Jiang, visibly anxious, was relieved when the doctor explained that the kitten was merely experiencing a common reaction to vaccines: a fever and drowsiness. Si Tu Mo then suggested taking Ding Dang home, but Prof. Jiang had grown deeply attached to the kitten and insisted on keeping it, declaring it would live with him from now on.

Gu Weiyi, still trying to gain points with Si Tu Mo, attempted another clumsy hug of the kitten, but Prof. Jiang quickly reclaimed his "baby." Despite Gu Weiyi's awkwardness, Si Tu Mo seemed touched by his efforts. Upon returning home, their robot vacuum, Circle, indicated its battery was low, but Gu Weiyi, prioritizing gaining points, humorously stated it needed to "grow up itself" and ignored it.

He then noticed the clogged drain and, without prompting, offered to fix it, announcing its completion after a moment. He then found Si Tu Mo asleep and offered to get her Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle, realizing she hadn't eaten dinner. Gu Weiyi gently carried the sleeping Si Tu Mo back to her bed, but found his hand trapped underneath her. He stayed there, captivated by her sweet sleeping face.

The next morning, he made sure to buy her favorite Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle. Despite his aversion to its strong smell, he held his nose and cooked it for her, making her incredibly happy. As Si Tu Mo ate, Gu Weiyi sat watching her. Feeling awkward under his gaze, she pointed it out, to which he replied he was simply waiting to wash the bowl.

Si Tu Mo then offered to clean up herself if he disliked the smell, but Gu Weiyi insisted it was fine. After a moment, Si Tu Mo looked up and directly asked him, "Gu Weiyi, do you like me?"

Episode 15 Recap

The previous evening, Si Tu Mo had directly asked Gu Weiyi if he liked her. Initially taken aback and surprised by the question, Gu Weiyi hesitated. Si Tu Mo, feeling awkward, quickly asked if he had perhaps seen her "form," implying her question didn't mean anything. Gu Weiyi then recovered and confirmed his feelings. He then anxiously pressed her for her own answer, to which Si Tu Mo shyly nodded, affirming her affection for him.

Both were happy and shy, having confirmed their feelings for each other. The morning after their confession was a mix of giddy excitement and awkwardness. Si Tu Mo enthusiastically searched through her wardrobe for the perfect outfit and meticulously applied her makeup, anticipating a romantic gesture from Gu Weiyi. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi was so preoccupied he accidentally drenched himself while washing dishes.

As Si Tu Mo was about to leave for work, making various sounds to attract his attention, Gu Weiyi simply told her, "Si Tu Mo, you are going to be late," which left her feeling annoyed. At the lab, Gu Weiyi visited Professor Jiang, who was playfully interacting with a kitten named Mimi, noting how much the little cat ate. Zhou Lei jokingly asked if he needed to pay for Mimi’s expenses.

Professor Jiang then shifted the conversation to Gu Weiyi's confession, asking if it had been successful. Gu Weiyi proudly announced his success that very morning. This piqued Professor Jiang and Zhou Lei’s curiosity, who pressed him for details about what happened after. Gu Weiyi recalled Si Tu Mo looking especially beautiful that morning, and though he wanted to tell her to come home early, the words "You're going to be late" awkwardly slipped out instead.

Gu Weiyi admitted that despite the confession, they hadn't held hands, hugged, or kissed, clarifying that their only kiss had been the one when they were drunk. Professor Jiang then got down to business, informing them about two exchange spots at Heidelberg University in Germany for their Quantum Hall effect project. One spot was reserved for Xie Yu Yin, their senior and a long-time collaborator on the project. The remaining spot would be decided between Gu Weiyi and Zhou Lei.

Zhou Lei eagerly suggested an exam, but Professor Jiang stated he would make a comprehensive assessment. Meanwhile, Fu Pei and Wang Shan were having a strained study date on the grass. Fu Pei, feeling sleepy, accidentally spotted Wang Shan's postgraduate admission ticket. He expressed his desire to also sit for the exam, but Wang Shan challenged him, questioning if he truly knew what he wanted to do or liked, as he hadn't even checked the exam registration date himself.

She expressed her fear that he was forcing himself to study with her, giving up his basketball and friends, just to make her feel secure. She worried he would eventually tire of such a relationship. Fu Pei insisted he wasn't tired, but Wang Shan countered that she would become tired if he was.

Their discussion escalated, with Wang Shan expressing her underlying doubt about the longevity of his feelings, leading to Fu Pei angrily walking away, feeling his commitment was not trusted. At work, Si Tu Mo received a task to participate in an orange juice advertisement shooting. Her colleague, Jie Er, expressed envy and insisted Si Tu Mo get an autograph from the handsome spokesperson, Lin Zhi Cun, a request Si Tu Mo refused, citing professionalism.

Back in the lab, Zhou Lei complained to Professor Jiang about Gu Weiyi using his phone, drawing attention to Gu Weiyi's new relationship. When their senior, Xie Yu Yin, learned that Gu Weiyi's girlfriend was Si Tu Mo, she reacted with noticeable disappointment. Zhou Lei tried to get Gu Weiyi to introduce him to Si Tu Mo, but Gu Weiyi, wanting to protect Si Tu Mo, dismissed him and left.

Later, Gu Weiyi waited at the bus stop to pick up Si Tu Mo from work. The bus ride home was filled with affectionate couples, highlighting the new and slightly awkward dynamic between Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi used the excuse of closing the bus window to subtly lean closer to Si Tu Mo, creating a brief, shy moment of proximity.

Back at the apartment, Gu Weiyi stumbled, having put on the wrong slippers, further adding to their mutual embarrassment. Seeking advice for their first dinner as a couple, Gu Weiyi called Fu Pei, who, still upset from his argument with Wang Shan, gave jaded, unhelpful advice. Despite this, Gu Weiyi decided they would eat steak at home.

After Si Tu Mo emerged from her bath, she found the apartment dark except for the flickering light of candles Gu Weiyi was setting up. Awkwardly, she turned on the main lights, but Gu Weiyi quickly turned them off again, revealing a heart shape he had arranged with the candles. As they ate their steak, Si Tu Mo, much to Gu Weiyi's mild confusion, insisted on eating it with chopsticks, remarking that "exquisite life" might not suit them.

After dinner, they settled on the sofa to watch a horror film. Si Tu Mo was engrossed in the movie, while Gu Weiyi struggled to find an opportunity to hold her hand. He then suggested turning off the lights to enhance the movie experience. Si Tu Mo, startled, immediately grabbed his arm, telling him not to. Gu Weiyi seized the moment, gently reversing his grip to finally intertwine his fingers with hers. They shared a shy, knowing smile.

Gu Weiyi then provocatively asked if she wanted to drink. Remembering their previous drunken encounter, Si Tu Mo asked why. Gu Weiyi leaned in, his gaze intense, and quietly suggested that "some things can be done even without beers," just as they were about to kiss, Si Tu Mo’s phone rang. It was Wang Shan, distressed and recounting her fight with Fu Pei because she hadn't signed him up for the postgraduate exam.

Si Tu Mo, protective of her friend, initially expressed satisfaction that Fu Pei was getting what he deserved, then playfully conceded that Wang Shan was "scolding my boyfriend." She then offered, "Do you want to scold my boyfriend?" and revealed that she and Gu Weiyi had officially become a couple the day before.

Wang Shan was surprised but declined Si Tu Mo's invitation to study at their place for the weekend, fearing she would be a "spotlight" and admitting she felt intimidated by Gu Weiyi. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi, overhearing the prolonged phone call, discreetly searched online for "how to make your girlfriend hang up fast." Noticing Si Tu Mo standing out in the cold while talking, he decided to retreat to their room, giving her privacy to continue her conversation.

The next morning, Si Tu Mo headed to the advertising set for work. Gu Weiyi, alone at home, texted her, asking what she was doing. Just as Si Tu Mo was about to reply, Lin Zhi Cun arrived at the set. He was arrogant and demanding, dismissive of the director, and condescending towards Si Tu Mo, whom he initially underestimated as a mere trainee.

His manager later chastised him for his behavior, telling him to reflect on how he was perceived. Back home, bored and left to his own devices, Gu Weiyi turned his attention to Circle, the smart speaker, which he ended up disassembling and reassembling. In a humorous voice test, Circle dutifully identified Gu Weiyi as "My Master" and Si Tu Mo as "My Lady."

Episode 16 Recap

Si Tu Mo stood outside the makeup room at the studio, feeling speechless as she overheard Miss Linda, Lin Zhi Cun’s agent, make belittling remarks. Miss Linda not only lectured Lin Zhi Cun about his attitude towards the director but also dismissively referred to Si Tu Mo. She told Lin Zhi Cun that if he were a true superstar, the advertising company wouldn't have sent a mere trainee to work with him.

Listening from outside, Si Tu Mo silently thought to herself, "What's wrong with being a trainee?" After finishing his preparations, Lin Zhi Cun began the advertisement shoot. The concept involved him playing a brilliant hacker who, exhausted from his work, regains his vitality after drinking "Chao Wei Orange Juice." Re-energized, he hacks into alien computers and prevents a large-scale attack on Earth. Lin Zhi Cun, visibly bored by the repetitive takes, muttered about his boredom.

Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi sat at home, his thoughts consumed by Si Tu Mo. Back at the studio, Si Tu Mo was having her meal and was about to sit on an equipment box when Lin Zhi Cun stopped her. He explained that sitting on equipment boxes was against industry rules and advised her not to broadcast the fact that she was a trainee. He then invited her to eat with him.

During their meal, Lin Zhi Cun complained about his agent, whom he called "Linda the witch," and his strict diet, dramatically emphasizing that his face had to be perfect for the big screen. Si Tu Mo’s only response was an unintentional burp. The intense shooting schedule resumed after the meal. Suddenly, Lin Zhi Cun’s phone alarm rang. Mortified, Si Tu Mo rushed off the set to turn it off, using the moment to reply to Gu Weiyi’s WeChat message.

Upon seeing her reply, Gu Weiyi smiled. He contemplated his response, dismissing "I'm thinking of you" as too cheesy and an offer to help with her work as too indirect. He finally settled on asking if she had forgotten anything he could bring over. Si Tu Mo remembered an envelope on her desk and asked him to deliver it.

When Gu Weiyi arrived at the studio entrance, he noticed the envelope was addressed: "To my future husband, from Lin Zhi Cun's wife herself." This left him slightly confused. While Gu Weiyi waited, Miss Linda, the artist agent director of S. Jie Ideas Media, approached him with a business card, offering him a chance to become an artist. Gu Weiyi politely declined. Spotting Si Tu Mo, he happily walked over to her, finding her asleep and exhausted from work.

Noticing her shoulder seemed sore, he gently massaged it before letting her lean on his shoulder to rest for ten minutes, a quiet, romantic moment. Soon after, Si Tu Mo was called back to the set. Lin Zhi Cun’s costume was unsuitable, and there was no backup. Miss Linda complained that the outfit was too small and old-fashioned. With no other options, Si Tu Mo asked Gu Weiyi to take off his jacket.

Surprised, Gu Weiyi quickly stuffed the envelope into his pocket before Si Tu Mo took his jacket for Lin Zhi Cun. Miss Linda then criticized Gu Weiyi's jacket for being too plain and lacking design, though Si Tu Mo quietly remarked to herself that Gu Weiyi looked very handsome in it. Lin Zhi Cun announced he was going to the washroom and asked for a cappuccino.

As Lin Zhi Cun, now wearing Gu Weiyi’s jacket, walked past him, Gu Weiyi's expression betrayed a hint of jealousy. Realizing Gu Weiyi was standing in the cold, Si Tu Mo borrowed Lin Zhi Cun’s jacket for him. Cupping Gu Weiyi's face, she sweetly told him, "I'm going to make money. Be a good boy, and don't fight with other kids." Gu Weiyi, momentarily forgetting his jealousy, was filled with warmth.

The shoot wrapped up quickly, but Lin Zhi Cun discovered the envelope in his jacket pocket. Assuming Si Tu Mo was a fan, he narcissistically asked if she thought he looked better in person and offered his autograph, teasing her not to be too moved. Si Tu Mo, however, urgently asked him to change so she could return Gu Weiyi’s jacket.

Impressed by her efficiency, Lin Zhi Cun complimented her capability despite being a trainee and asked to add her on WeChat, proudly stating his ID was "Super Handsome." Gu Weiyi, witnessing this exchange, felt another pang of jealousy. Once work finally ended, Si Tu Mo happily ran out and linked arms with Gu Weiyi, who suggested they go on a date. They went shopping at a mall and bought milk tea.

After trying each other's drinks, Si Tu Mo declared Gu Weiyi’s was nicer. He tasted hers and, finding them similar, playfully poured some of his into her cup, creating a mixture they both agreed was "super nice." Next, they visited a clothing store where Gu Weiyi looked handsome in every outfit he tried. However, when it was Si Tu Mo's turn, he became quite particular, rejecting anything that exposed her shoulders, had pants that were too short, or was sleeveless.

He only approved of an outfit that covered her completely. Continuing through the mall, Si Tu Mo watched children playing in a ball pit with envy. Gu Weiyi asked if she wanted to play, but she pointed out they couldn't enter without being a child or a parent.

Determined to make her happy, Gu Weiyi found a young boy named Xiao Jie and convinced a staff member to let them in as his guardians, even showing his ID-filled wallet as proof of his sincerity. Inside, they were given "parent" stickers. Gu Weiyi stuck one on Si Tu Mo’s back and playfully tried to put another on her face, leading to a lighthearted struggle.

A staff member humorously called out, "Hey parents, your child is already inside," prompting Si Tu Mo to quip to Gu Weiyi, "Daddy, let's go." Meanwhile, Wang Shan, in a cold war with Fu Pei, was desperately seeking comfort from her friends Lu Lu and Niu Niu, but both were busy.

She then saw a picture of Fu Pei playing basketball on his WeChat Moments and grumbled about him not contacting her, unaware that he had posted it specifically to get her attention. Back in the ball pit, Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo were having a blast. Si Tu Mo enthusiastically urged a hesitant Gu Weiyi to join her in the pit, and he soon found himself enjoying it.

She playfully called him a "liar" for pretending he wouldn't have fun, then rallied the other children to bury him in balls. Afterwards, she hid herself in the ball pit. Gu Weiyi quickly spotted her and pulled her out. They stumbled, and Gu Weiyi landed on top of her. As they looked into each other's eyes, hearts pounding, the surrounding children, sensing the romantic moment, playfully nudged them closer, leading to their first kiss.

Still on their date, Si Tu Mo went to a kiosk to print free photos. She proudly showed Gu Weiyi a picture of her robot cat, Si Tu Ding Dang, but he replied unenthusiastically, calling it "not really" cute. Amused, Si Tu Mo called him tasteless and suggested they print a photo of themselves, only to realize they didn't have any on their phones. Gu Weiyi then remembered their beach selfie and printed it.

Si Tu Mo immediately claimed the photo, but he playfully refused to give it to her, saying he would keep it in his wallet, still a bit jealous of her affection for the robot cat. For dinner, Gu Weiyi thoughtfully ordered all of Si Tu Mo's favorite dishes. They played a game of rock-paper-scissors, with the loser having to eat a chili. After losing twice, Gu Weiyi protested that he couldn't handle spicy food.

Si Tu Mo challenged him to act cute instead. Clueless, Gu Weiyi searched "how to coax a woman" on his phone before reluctantly leaning his head on her shoulder and softly saying, "I don't want to eat." Si Tu Mo found it unconvincing. He tried again with a small smile, and when she still wasn't satisfied, he finally whined with more emphasis, "I don't want to eat!" leaving Si Tu Mo struggling to hold back laughter.

After dinner, they walked home hand-in-hand, discussing plans to watch a horror film under a blanket. Their sweet evening was abruptly interrupted when they arrived home and found Wang Shan waiting for them, an unwelcome third wheel. Wang Shan immediately launched into a monologue about her cold war with Fu Pei, complaining about his unresponsiveness.

Anxious to have their private time, Gu Weiyi made several attempts to get her to leave, even suggesting Si Tu Mo take a bath, but Wang Shan continued to talk, oblivious to their desire to be alone.

Episode 17 Recap

Unable to sleep, Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi tossed and turned in bed. Gu Weiyi got up to get a beer from the fridge, hoping to clear his head, but Si Tu Mo also woke up and asked him what he was doing. Startled, Gu Weiyi spilled beer on the floor. Si Tu Mo walked forward, slipped on the beer, and Gu Weiyi instinctively caught her. They twirled around, and Si Tu Mo ended up leaning against the refrigerator.

The atmosphere grew intimate, and they embraced and kissed. Afterward, sitting together, they both agreed that Wang Shan's presence was inconvenient and discussed calling Fu Pei to pick her up. Gu Weiyi directly told Fu Pei to come early the next morning. Si Tu Mo found him too blunt, but Gu Weiyi retorted that if he were "not tactful," he would say "your girlfriend is at my house, very annoying." The next morning, Wang Shan bought breakfast for everyone.

Si Tu Mo didn't want to wake Gu Weiyi, but he woke up anyway. Si Tu Mo reached for a fried dough stick with her hands, which Wang Shan quickly stopped. Gu Weiyi, however, watched and indicated that Si Tu Mo could eat with her hands. Wang Shan hesitantly asked if they had any plans for the day. Gu Weiyi replied they had none, subtly signaling to Si Tu Mo that Wang Shan should leave.

Si Tu Mo then asked Wang Shan about her plans, offering to watch a movie together if she had none, much to Gu Weiyi's exasperation. To their surprise, Wang Shan announced she was going to sit for her postgraduate entrance exam. Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi were overjoyed, barely able to contain their smiles, relieved that their "spotlight" was finally leaving. As Wang Shan departed for her exam, Gu Weiyi quickly notified Fu Pei, who was waiting downstairs.

Wang Shan, though secretly pleased to see Fu Pei, initially feigned resistance. As expected, the road was heavily jammed, making Wang Shan anxious about being late. Just then, Fu Pei appeared on his motorcycle, whisking her through the traffic to the exam. Fu Pei explained he borrowed the motorcycle to appear more dashing, hoping she would forgive him quicker.

Wang Shan admitted she was the one who was wrong, but Fu Pei, with a grand gesture, declared he forgave her, saying he was more generous. They reconciled, and Fu Pei urged her to hurry into the exam. With Wang Shan gone, Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi happily settled down for a date at home, watching two movies.

Afterward, feeling full from all the snacks, and having already been to the mall the day before, they found themselves with nothing to do. Si Tu Mo suggested they go out for some exercise. Gu Weiyi grumbled, stating he doesn't exercise. Si Tu Mo then proposed playing ping-pong. Gu Weiyi, despite claiming he could play, turned out to be terrible. He started complaining about the ping-pong table not being standard and the racket having issues with its elastic coefficient.

Si Tu Mo, however, bluntly pointed out that his skill was the real problem. Giving up on ping-pong, Si Tu Mo expressed her admiration for how cool skateboarding looked, prompting Gu Weiyi to decide he would try it. Si Tu Mo worried if he could handle it. Gu Weiyi launched into a detailed physics explanation of the technique, involving pivot points, torque, and force arms.

He then attempted a trick, only to spectacularly fail, admitting that there was a significant gap between theory and practice. Si Tu Mo asked if he was okay after the fall. Later that night, they returned home. Gu Weiyi reluctantly watched Si Tu Mo head to her room. They bid each other goodnight but lingered, unwilling to part.

Gu Weiyi suggested it wasn't that late, and they decided to watch another movie, eventually falling asleep together on the sofa, too tired to even open their eyes. The next morning, Si Tu Mo woke first but quickly closed her eyes again when she saw Gu Weiyi stirring, wondering when would be a non-awkward moment to open them. She also worried if her head felt too heavy on him.

Gu Weiyi eventually woke up and gently lifted Si Tu Mo's head from his shoulder, though she managed to keep her head up on her own when he released it, revealing she was pretending. Gu Weiyi looked at her with an affectionate smile. He then told Si Tu Mo to stop pretending and asked if her neck was sore. Si Tu Mo, slightly embarrassed, said she needed to go to work.

Gu Weiyi then asked her to help him put on a patch. Afterward, Gu Weiyi walked Si Tu Mo to the bus stop. As they waited on the bench, they held hands, sharing sweet smiles. Si Tu Mo arrived at work cheerfully. Jie Er greeted her with two pieces of good news: first, interns could now participate in the Golden Pin Advertisement Design Competition; second, interns would receive a winter holiday this year.

Meanwhile, in the lab, Zhou Lei was visibly annoyed. Senior Xie Yu Yin had mentioned that Gu Weiyi could calculate data faster, completing it in ten minutes, which Zhou Lei sarcastically claimed he could also do. As they were talking, Lu Jian Shi, a senior student who had been on an exchange program in Heidelberg, Germany, and was previously Prof. Jiang's student, arrived.

Lu Jian Shi seemed particularly interested in Gu Weiyi, mentioning her hope that they could go to Germany together. Prof. Jiang explained that Lu Jian Shi was back because Heidelberg had authorized her to observe them. He announced that after the winter holiday, there would be an exam to select participants for the program, emphasizing that both exam results and daily experimental performance would count, dismissing Zhou Lei's accusations of favoritism.

Later, Gu Weiyi, Fu Pei, and Wang Shan met up to play ping-pong. Gu Weiyi admitted he had no prior experience, so Fu Pei instructed him to practice bouncing the ball on his own. Gu Weiyi then messaged Si Tu Mo, asking when she would get off work. She replied that she could leave at 6 PM if she didn't have overtime, and asked if he was coming to pick her up.

However, the art director suddenly called Si Tu Mo. It turned out Lin Zhi Cun and his manager were there, asking Si Tu Mo to continue her involvement in the collaboration between their two companies. Si Tu Mo was eager to leave and meet Gu Weiyi, but Lin Zhi Cun asked her to give them a tour of the company. Halfway through, Lin Zhi Cun noticed her impatience and let her leave.

Gu Weiyi was waiting outside, bored, gazing at his reflection in the glass. Si Tu Mo kept checking her phone, but Gu Weiyi hadn't replied. Lin Zhi Cun, observing this, mischievously suggested that no reply meant he wouldn't come to pick her up. However, Si Tu Mo confidently stated that Gu Weiyi was different and would definitely come.

As she entered the lobby, Si Tu Mo was overjoyed to see Gu Weiyi, but when Gu Weiyi and Lin Zhi Cun spotted each other, their expressions immediately turned into a fierce rivalry.

Episode 18 Recap

Si Tu Mo rushed towards Gu Weiyi, who had just arrived at her workplace. He explained he hadn't replied to her messages because his phone had died. He confirmed he would always pick her up, regardless of how late she worked or the weather conditions. However, his expression turned cautious as he looked at Lin Zhicun. Jealous, Gu Weiyi questioned Si Tu Mo about her relationship with the artist, asking if they were close.

Si Tu Mo casually confirmed they got along "not bad" and occasionally ate together. Gu Weiyi's jealousy flared, and he asked if they ate Liuzhou snail noodles together. Si Tu Mo playfully called him a "jealousy pot" and assured him she only ate that dish with him. As they walked home, Si Tu Mo expressed her craving for the noodles, which Gu Weiyi initially refused to cook, claiming it stank.

Back at their apartment, Gu Weiyi cooked Liuzhou snail noodles, and they ate it alongside instant noodles. Si Tu Mo worried her mother would scold them for their unhealthy meal choices. Although Gu Weiyi still found the odor off-putting, he admitted he had grown accustomed to it and watched Si Tu Mo with an affectionate smile as she savored her food. After dinner, Si Tu Mo made tea for Gu Weiyi, noticing his fondness for it.

He explained that his father, an artifact restorer, had raised him and taught him to appreciate tea. He recalled quiet afternoons in his father's workshop, where he would read "Tell Me Why?" while his father meticulously worked. Si Tu Mo remembered his aunt complaining that his father had given him an "odd" temper. Gu Weiyi inquired if his temper was indeed strange, and Si Tu Mo affectionately affirmed it was "odd, but pretty good."

When Si Tu Mo asked if he could repair ceramics, Gu Weiyi confirmed he could handle simple restorations, making Si Tu Mo regret not knowing earlier about a broken mug she once had. She then asked if he could instantly guess the price of antiques, to which he replied he could not, but could deduce their approximate dynasty.

This sparked an idea for Si Tu Mo to visit a museum with him during the winter holiday to guess the ages of antiques. Gu Weiyi was surprised to learn she had a winter holiday and would be going home for the New Year. His disappointment was evident, prompting Si Tu Mo to promise she would leave later and return earlier.

She tried to reassure him by vowing to pack her bags and leave the moment the New Year firecrackers started. At the airport, the couple shared a reluctant farewell. Si Tu Mo called Gu Weiyi back for a final wave before he left. Later, she called him from her bus to tell him she was on her way, and he replied that his plane was about to take off, forcing them to end the call.

Upon arriving home, Si Tu Mo texted Gu Weiyi but received no reply, leaving her wondering about his whereabouts. Her younger brother, Si Tuhao, then called her for dinner. During the meal, Si Tu Mo learned their older sister was traveling in Thailand and wouldn't be home for New Year, much to their father's dismay.

Si Tuhao also recounted how Si Tu Mo had sold their sister's pets to her classmates, and their father's futile attempts to buy them back, even after offering double the price. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi texted Si Tu Mo to confirm his safe arrival, and they continued to exchange messages.

At Gu Weiyi's home, his mother called him and his father for dinner, complaining about his father's single-minded focus on work and expressing her hope that someone would one day "manage" Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi's father defended him, emphasizing his son's dedication to scientific research, but his mother persisted in discussing his future until his father reluctantly yielded. During the winter holiday, both Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo diligently worked on their respective projects.

Gu Weiyi and his father successfully completed the restoration of an artwork, while Si Tu Mo finalized her advertisement design. Si Tu Mo initiated a video call with Gu Weiyi from her bed, playfully covering the camera. When Gu Weiyi complained about the unfairness, she teased him, claiming she was too beautiful and wearing "very sexy" sleepwear that might make him "lose control."

At that moment, Si Tu Mo's mother unexpectedly walked into the room, scolding her for wearing the same pants for a week and having oily hair, causing Si Tu Mo immense embarrassment. Gu Weiyi, still on the call but out of sight, humorously affirmed Si Tu Mo's mother's assessment, remarking that he "really couldn't hold it."

Later, during a family dinner at Gu Weiyi's house, a discussion about mantis prawns inadvertently led to Gu Weiyi's mother revealing that he was cohabiting with Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi's father was visibly shocked and expressed his disapproval of an unrelated boy and girl living together, especially since they weren't in a relationship. Gu Weiyi interjected, correcting his father by stating that they were.

His mother, quick to pick up on his confirmation, directly asked if they were dating, to which Gu Weiyi proudly responded, "We're already dating." His father, however, appeared displeased. That evening, Si Tu Mo excitedly called Gu Weiyi to share the sound of fireworks. Gu Weiyi, seeing beautiful fireworks on his way home, wished he could be sharing the experience with her.

Half a month later, Si Tu Mo arrived back at her apartment complex, trying unsuccessfully to reach Gu Weiyi by phone, unaware that he was skateboarding. Gu Weiyi soon appeared on his skateboard. Si Tu Mo, surprised by his newfound skill, wondered how he would manage to carry her luggage. Gu Weiyi confidently insisted he could handle it and refused her help.

However, as they walked, he noticed other couples holding hands and paused, realizing his hands were full with her luggage and his skateboard, leaving no free hand to hold Si Tu Mo's. Si Tu Mo, assuming he was struggling, took her own luggage and carried it into the building. Upon entering their apartment, Gu Weiyi, managing to hold his skateboard and her luggage in one hand, immediately took Si Tu Mo's hand with his other.

He declared, "I'll carry the luggage, and you hold my hand. That's more romantic." Si Tu Mo chuckled, asking where he had learned such a line. Misinterpreting her amusement, Gu Weiyi, thinking she didn't find it romantic, dismissively said, "Forget about it," and began to turn away. Si Tu Mo quickly stopped him, called him back for a hug, and assured him, "You're very romantic." Delighted, Gu Weiyi responded, "I miss you very much."

Back at the lab, Zhou Lei, still fixated on his competition with Gu Weiyi, tried to engage Senior Lu Jianshi, who was annoyed by his childish behavior. She reminded him that she was also a senior whom he showed no respect to, implying he only respected people who could affect his chances of going to Heidelberg University. She then confirmed she would indeed be going. Meanwhile, Professor Jiang and Lu Jianshi discussed an upcoming exam.

Lu Jianshi argued the exam was unnecessary, stating Gu Weiyi's academic level was far superior to Zhou Lei's. However, Professor Jiang insisted on the exam, emphasizing the importance of providing fairness to both students. When Xie Yuyin handed in her lab report, Professor Jiang told her that Gu Weiyi's reports were better. Later, Gu Weiyi stopped by the lab and encountered Xie Yuyin.

She inquired about his relationship, surprised he had "suddenly fallen in love," to which he simply replied he had "wanted to be in love for a long time." Zhou Lei soon joined them, complaining about his stress over the Heidelberg opportunity but still pressing Gu Weiyi for details about his girlfriend, making suggestive comments until Gu Weiyi decided to leave. That evening, Gu Weiyi turned off the apartment's electricity to demonstrate his hand-cranked dynamo, which he had made for blackouts.

He meticulously explained the physics behind it, detailing how the conductor coil's rotation in a magnetic field generates an alternating current. Despite his detailed explanation, Si Tu Mo found the flickering light dim and noted it wasn't as bright as her phone. Gu Weiyi promised to improve it, and Si Tu Mo, her stomach rumbling, pitifully asked if they could eat. Gu Weiyi obliged and switched the power back on.

Later, Gu Weiyi noticed Si Tu Mo was still in her room, working. He saw her social media post seeking help from "Designing Experts" on how to convert a PS file to CDR, as she couldn't fill colors after conversion. Gu Weiyi immediately replied to her post, simply stating, "I can." Si Tu Mo, desperate for help, promptly came to his room. Gu Weiyi told her to wait on his bed while he worked on the file.

She suggested waiting in her own room, but Gu Weiyi playfully challenged her, asking what she was afraid of. Si Tu Mo denied any fear and settled on his bed. He told her she could sleep if she got tired, and she eventually drifted off while waiting. After successfully converting the file, Gu Weiyi softly called Si Tu Mo's name, then quietly added, "I did call you," clearly not wanting to wake her.

Episode 19 Recap

Gu Weiyi carefully covered Si Tu Mo with a blanket while she slept peacefully by his side. The next morning, he discovered she had shifted to sleep on his leg. Before either of them could fully react, they heard the voices of their mothers, then their fathers, outside the door, wondering aloud why they would be up so early. Thinking quickly to avoid any misunderstanding, Gu Weiyi crawled across the floor to Si Tu Mo’s room.

Moments later, they simultaneously opened their respective doors to face their parents. However, their parents were suspicious, quickly noticing that they had swapped rooms and deducing that their relationship had significantly progressed. Mr. Gu was concerned about propriety, stating it was his fault for not guiding his child properly and vowing to give Si Tu Mo's family a satisfactory answer. Mrs. Gu, however, was delighted, laughing that it was not a bad thing for children to be in love.

She expressed her surprise at how close they had become, even suggesting they should have arranged a childhood betrothal. Mrs. Si Tu, also known as Wen Jun, eagerly agreed, suggesting they check an almanac for an auspicious wedding date. She even offered their existing house as a wedding home and suggested buying them a car. While the mothers chatted enthusiastically about marriage plans, Gu Weiyi became increasingly uncomfortable.

When asked his opinion, he stated that they were adults and could plan their own future. When pressed directly about when they would marry, Gu Weiyi responded that it was "not our plan at the moment." This statement left Si Tu Mo feeling a little disappointed. Later, Si Tu Mo quietly asked Gu Weiyi if they would eventually marry. He gently told her not to overthink it, and she nodded, reassured.

On their way home, Si Tu Mo's parents discussed Gu Weiyi's response. Wen Jun, her mother, was quite satisfied, interpreting his answer as a scientist's precise, time-bound thinking. However, Mr. Si Tu insisted that Gu Weiyi had no intention of marrying their daughter and wondered why she should be "trying to please him." Their argument continued without resolution.

Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi's mother, Mrs. Gu, was also worried about his statement, even chiding Mr. Gu that Gu Weiyi's wilfulness was just like his own. Mr. Gu, however, was calm. He admitted his own fault for being too rigid and only seeing the "surface," expressing his belief that their son deeply admired Si Tu Mo, watching her as if she were a "fine porcelain."

Back at the university, Gu Weiyi found Zhou Lei sleeping in the lab, intensely studying for the upcoming exam that would determine who got a spot in a Germany exchange program. Zhou Lei, taking a "cross-professional" exam, eagerly asked Gu Weiyi for his detailed notes on quantum mechanics, confident he would surpass him. Elsewhere, Fu Pei kicked his roommate out of their dorm so he and Wang Shan could check their exam results.

Wang Shan excitedly announced she had passed her graduate exam with an impressive score, declaring herself a "studybug." Fu Pei also celebrated passing CET-4, and they shared a celebratory kiss. In the lab, Senior Lu Jian Shi announced that Professor Jiang had taken the kitten to the pet clinic, so students could leave early if their tasks were done.

Zhou Lei, still anxious about his exam, tried to get help from Senior Lu and Xie Yu Yin, but both were busy. He then turned to Gu Weiyi, who told him he was going to pick up Si Tu Mo. Zhou Lei's girlfriend called, confirming he too had passed his exam, which he celebrated with her. Later, in the library, Gu Weiyi was studying.

Senior Lu Jian Shi approached him and discreetly mentioned that the upcoming exam contained many calculation-heavy questions, which she felt was unfair to him. Zhou Lei then found Gu Weiyi and pressed him for extensive help with his notes, claiming they were "exploring and making progress together." Senior Lu, observing this, soon left. Gu Weiyi eventually told Zhou Lei he needed to leave to pick up Si Tu Mo.

Zhou Lei tried to dissuade him, scoffing that Si Tu Mo had legs and didn't need picking up, calling Gu Weiyi "dates before mates." Gu Weiyi, undeterred, promised to organize notes for Zhou Lei later. Si Tu Mo then called, informing him she was still busy at the photography studio. Gu Weiyi agreed to pick her up in an hour, and Zhou Lei, still insistent, pulled him back to continue studying.

At the photoshoot, Si Tu Mo was approached by a young fan of Lin Zhi Cun. The fan, eager for a study motivation ahead of her university entrance exam, asked Si Tu Mo to record Lin Zhi Cun's "wake-up voice." Si Tu Mo, despite her initial hesitation, agreed. Later, she accidentally bumped into the famous actress Zhao Xue Yu.

Si Tu Mo confided in Lin Zhi Cun that Zhao Xue Yu was acting like a "boss," constantly ordering people around and deliberately causing trouble, wasting much of the shooting time due to a previous "fake accident." Lin Zhi Cun offered to help Si Tu Mo get the wake-up voice recording. Zhao Xue Yu continued her demanding behavior, forcing Si Tu Mo to get her various drinks and then complaining about them being too hot or too cold.

Frustrated, Si Tu Mo finally suggested Zhao Xue Yu ask her own assistant. When Zhao Xue Yu challenged Si Tu Mo, asking if she knew who she was, Si Tu Mo cheekily replied she had "Baidu-ed" her and she had two more pages of news than Lin Zhi Cun, implying Lin Zhi Cun was more popular, which infuriated Zhao Xue Yu.

Lin Zhi Cun then confronted Zhao Xue Yu, warning her that her "big-headed" antics and mistreatment of staff could become a negative headline and ruin her recently revitalized career. Zhao Xue Yu, enraged, threatened to expose his "affair" but Lin Zhi Cun challenged her to provide proof, further frustrating her.

Meanwhile, Fu Pei received a call from his father, who informed him of an upcoming business trip and his intention to arrange a blind date for him with a "well-matched" girl from a "literary family" who had a PhD. Fu Pei sarcastically commented on the notion of such a match, given his own family’s 'parvenu' status. Despite having Wang Shan as his girlfriend, Fu Pei reluctantly agreed to the blind date to appease his father, much to Wang Shan's discomfort.

After the photoshoot wrapped, the director invited everyone to dinner. Zhao Xue Yu insisted Si Tu Mo join them, claiming it was an apology. Si Tu Mo initially declined, explaining Gu Weiyi was picking her up, but Zhao Xue Yu made it an issue of "giving face," so Si Tu Mo relented and called Gu Weiyi to update him and arrange a pickup in an hour.

At the dinner, Zhao Xue Yu repeatedly forced Si Tu Mo to drink, secretly pointing out a hidden camera on the table to Lin Zhi Cun. As Si Tu Mo became increasingly intoxicated, Zhao Xue Yu suggested Lin Zhi Cun take her home, clearly attempting to create a scandal. At that precise moment, Gu Weiyi arrived.

Lin Zhi Cun, upon seeing Gu Weiyi, mockingly introduced himself as Si Tu Mo's boyfriend, then challenged Gu Weiyi to prove his own relationship with Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi, without hesitation, picked up the heavily intoxicated Si Tu Mo. To satisfy Lin Zhi Cun and the curious onlookers, he asked Si Tu Mo, "Who's Circle's dad?" Si Tu Mo, in her drunken state, pointed at Gu Weiyi. He then asked, "Who's Circle's mom?" and she pointed at herself.

This public display left the onlookers bewildered, wondering if the young couple already had a child. Gu Weiyi confidently carried Si Tu Mo out. Outside, Si Tu Mo felt nauseous and asked Gu Weiyi to help her vomit, even comically asking him to hit her back. She kept calling out for "Circle." Gu Weiyi patiently supported her, holding her hair and gently patting her back. He then hoisted her onto his back to carry her home.

As they walked, a tipsy Si Tu Mo playfully blew air into Gu Weiyi's ear, causing him to freeze for a moment, his heart stirred by her unexpected and affectionate gesture before continuing their journey home.

Episode 20 Recap

After a night of revelry, Gu Weiyi carefully brought a tipsy Mo Mo home, ensuring she was comfortable in bed before tending to himself. The next morning, Mo Mo awoke in a panic, believing she was late for work. However, Gu Weiyi calmly informed her that he had already taken a day off for her, prompting Mo Mo to consider going back to sleep.

Gu Weiyi then noticed a rash on Mo Mo's neck, which she attributed to an alcohol allergy. He sternly lectured her about drinking too much, especially when he wasn't around, and advised her to avoid such occasions and limit contact with the celebrity she had been working with. Mo Mo, with a touch of playful charm, promised to never drink again, even if it meant being fired.

Softened by her assurance, Gu Weiyi went out to buy her favorite breakfast: deep-fried bread sticks from the first shop and peanut soy milk from the third, telling her to take a shower while he was gone. Upon his return, Gu Weiyi called Mo Mo for breakfast, only to find her on the balcony washing his underwear, which she explained had fallen on the floor. Embarrassed, he quickly snatched it from her hands and dropped it back into the sink.

Over breakfast, Mo Mo found Gu Weiyi’s reaction amusing, teasing him by comparing him to her younger brother and remarking that since they had already slept in the same bed with nothing happening, there was no need for shyness. Annoyed by the constant comparison, Gu Weiyi abruptly picked Mo Mo up, intending to carry her to the room to show her the difference. However, their robot, Circle, suddenly spoke, calling for its "Master" and "Madam."

This interruption caused Gu Weiyi to lose his momentum, and he collapsed on the bed, blaming it on a bout of hypoglycemia. After the unexpected interlude, they resumed their breakfast. Mo Mo couldn't help but tease Gu Weiyi about his physical weakness, pointing out that his hypoglycemia and dislike for exercise truly made him similar to her brother. Growing increasingly frustrated, Gu Weiyi warned her not to make the comparison again.

Mo Mo quickly reassured him that there was indeed a difference: Gu Weiyi could modify the robot, unlike her brother. Later, while Mo Mo was preparing dinner, Gu Weiyi insisted on watching her. Mo Mo, recalling the day's earlier events, seemed a bit uncomfortable and tried to avoid his gaze.

When they finally sat down to eat instant noodles, Gu Weiyi leaned in to blow on the hot noodles for her, but Mo Mo, misinterpreting his gesture as an attempt to kiss her, immediately blocked him. Gu Weiyi chuckled affectionately. They then discussed their upcoming graduation oral defenses, a sweet atmosphere enveloping them. Mo Mo successfully passed her departmental graduation oral defense.

Afterward, she attended Gu Weiyi's defense, where he clearly noticed her presence, his gaze lingering on her with a smile. His defense was so impressive that the professors found it difficult to pose challenging questions. Distracted by Mo Mo enthusiastically making heart signs from the audience, Gu Weiyi still passed his defense with ease. Following the defenses, Wang Shan and other friends demanded that Gu Weiyi treat them to a meal.

Gu Weiyi initially suggested just providing the money without attending, but Mo Mo immediately rejected the idea. To impress Mo Mo's friends, Gu Weiyi ordered a lavish spread. Meng Lu, in particular, was impressed, commenting that Gu Weiyi seemed even richer than Fu Pei. Meanwhile, Fu Pei was forced by his father to attend a blind date with Lu Jian Shi. Fu Pei’s father, a wealthy but uncultured man, insisted on ordering the most expensive dishes to show off.

To call his father's bluff, Fu Pei agreed to order an outrageously expensive fish. Later, when his father received the bill totaling RMB 3,453, he was shocked by the cost and questioned if they were being cheated. Coincidentally, at Mo Mo and Gu Weiyi’s table, their bill also came to RMB 3,453. Mo Mo was distressed by the high cost, but Gu Weiyi calmly reassured her that as long as she and her friends were happy, the expense was manageable.

He paid the bill, leaving only RMB 0. 12 in his bank account. Back at Fu Pei's table, his father was still complaining about the bill when Fu Pei courageously introduced Wang Shan, who had arrived, as his girlfriend. Though this enraged his father, Fu Pei stood his ground, defending Wang Shan and their love. Wang Shan also spoke up, challenging Fu Pei’s father. Hand in hand, they walked out of the restaurant, their bond strengthened by the confrontation.

Back home, Mo Mo and Gu Weiyi were forced to ration their food due to their depleted funds. Mo Mo refused to let him eat their last pack of instant noodles. Gu Weiyi insisted he would not use her money, but agreed they could eat the noodles to tide them over until they received their graduation photo money and his scholarship funds arrived. The single pack of instant noodles became a treasured meal.

While preparing it, Mo Mo found a tiny quail egg stuck in the fridge seam, which she added to their meal. They playfully offered the single egg to each other until it fell, with Mo Mo quickly changing the subject when Gu Weiyi asked where it went as they happily shared their meager meal. Finally, the day of graduation photos arrived. Both Mo Mo and Gu Weiyi dressed formally.

Mo Mo carefully tied Gu Weiyi’s tie, albeit a bit crookedly, which nevertheless delighted him. Mo Mo then joined her roommates for photos, while Gu Weiyi was called over by Zhou Lei. Their friends chatted excitedly, noting how thoughtful Fu Pei had become, not only giving Wang Shan flowers but also preparing a detailed graduation photo plan.

The friends also playfully teased Mo Mo, observing that Gu Weiyi hadn't given her flowers and mentioning a rumor about a pretty senior in Gu Weiyi's lab who liked him. Mo Mo quickly dismissed these notions, asserting that she had "flowers in her heart." Later, Mo Mo's friends playfully tackled her while teasing her about the expensive meal Gu Weiyi had paid for. Gu Weiyi, seeing this, came over in a fluster and asked what they had said to her.

Mo Mo feigned innocence, but when Gu Weiyi noticed her blushing, he began to offer a scientific explanation for the physiological mechanism of a flushed face, which she quickly cut short.

Episode 21 Recap

The season of phoenix blossoms arrived, signaling the imminent graduation. Si Tu Mo enthusiastically opened the classroom door, only to be met by a large bouquet of flowers that Ah Ke was holding for Meng Lu. Despite a fleeting envy, Si Tu Mo joined her friends for cheerful graduation photos. After their photo session with professors and seniors, Gu Weiyi waited for Si Tu Mo in the library.

Senior Xie Yu Yin noticed Gu Weiyi’s crooked tie and stepped forward to straighten it. Si Tu Mo arrived just in time to witness this, and before Gu Weiyi could explain, Professor Zhou Lei pulled him away for more photos, even enthusiastically including Si Tu Mo. The misunderstanding remained unresolved as Si Tu Mo left.

Outside the library, they encountered Meng Lu and their friends, who teased Gu Weiyi for not bringing flowers for Si Tu Mo, or for not bringing roses, which only fueled Si Tu Mo's anger. Gu Weiyi, holding the flowers Xie Yu Yin had given him, chased Si Tu Mo in circles, but Si Tu Mo still refused to acknowledge him. Later, during the dorm’s group photo, everyone tossed their graduation caps into the air.

Gu Weiyi, ever protective, held his cap over Si Tu Mo’s head to shield her from falling objects. Si Tu Mo's anger, however, had not subsided. Wang Shan and Fu Pei encouraged the couple to take a photo together in the library. To appease Si Tu Mo, Gu Weiyi dutifully mimicked all her cute poses, but his efforts only made her more upset. Determined to reconcile, Gu Weiyi followed Si Tu Mo to the stadium.

Si Tu Mo finally revealed the source of her irritation: Gu Weiyi had allowed another girl to fix his tie. Gu Weiyi tried to explain that Xie Yu Yin had "ambushed" him and he was innocent, but a woman in a fit of pique rarely listens to explanations. When Gu Weiyi suggested she was being unreasonable, Si Tu Mo declared she would never return to their home again.

Gu Weiyi quickly caught up, lifted her onto a basketball hoop, and kissed her, cutting off any further words. True to form, Si Tu Mo shyly reconciled with Gu Weiyi, and they walked off, one in front of the other, Gu Weiyi’s face radiating affection. On their way home, both were hungry and penniless. Si Tu Mo suggested they crash Fu Pei's dinner, which immediately made Gu Weiyi jealous.

He playfully countered that his senior had also invited him to eat. The mention of "senior" reignited Si Tu Mo's anger, but Gu Weiyi, with a small smirk, pulled her hand, content with the reaction. They playfully bickered as they headed home to cook porridge. They ended up eating the same porridge for three consecutive days. Despite his distaste, Gu Weiyi obediently finished his bowl. Soon after, Si Tu Mo discovered their water had been cut off.

Gu Weiyi, steadfastly refusing to use Si Tu Mo's money, insisted on waiting for his experiment fees to come through before paying the bill. Then, due to more unpaid bills, their electricity was also cut. Embarrassed, Gu Weiyi took Si Tu Mo outside for a game of table tennis. It turned out Gu Weiyi wanted to show off his newly perfected ping-pong skills, completely dominating Si Tu Mo. Si Tu Mo quickly conceded, declaring she was hungry.

Just then, Gu Weiyi received his experiment fees, allowing them to indulge in a luxurious meal, a welcome change from their recent poverty. Their idea of luxury was buying a large stack of cup instant noodles. Looking at the instant noodles, Gu Weiyi pondered the environmental impact and then connected it to buying a dishwasher to solve their shared aversion to washing dishes.

Si Tu Mo strongly disagreed, forcing Gu Weiyi to choose between the dishwasher and Circle, their robot vacuum. Gu Weiyi dutifully gave up on the dishwasher, choosing his beloved Circle. Time flew by, and Gu Weiyi and Zhou Lei prepared for a competitive exam for a single spot in a German program. Meanwhile, Si Tu Mo was packing her belongings in the dorm.

Wang Shan, who was going to a university in the north for graduate studies, decided to stay in the city for the summer to support Fu Pei's entrepreneurial venture, as they would soon be in a long-distance relationship. As they chatted, Si Tu Mo excitedly discovered 800 yuan she had saved from her tutoring job. After talking to Gu Weiyi on the phone, she continued to pack.

Lu Jian Shi, a senior, discovered that Zhou Lei was living in the lab and keeping a cat there. She insisted on reporting him to the school and making him write a self-criticism. Gu Weiyi spoke up in Zhou Lei’s defense, but Lu Jian Shi remained firm. Fortunately, Xie Yu Yin and Prof. Jiang arrived and helped resolve the situation.

In private, Lu Jian Shi complained to Xie Yu Yin about her recent blind date, a "parvenu" named Fu Pei from the Management Department. She scoffed at his boast that he was the "hottest man on campus," deeming him uncouth and beneath her. Gu Weiyi overheard this conversation in passing, and Lu Jian Shi instantly lost any goodwill he might have had toward her. Meanwhile, Wang Shan waited for Fu Pei downstairs at the dorm.

She saw Fu Pei's father, who had come to apologize to Lu Jian Shi, and initiated a conversation with him about Fu Pei. She explained that Fu Pei had matured greatly, was working hard, and had decided to start his own company, not just for his ideals but also for his father's approval.

Although Fu Pei's father verbally expressed disbelief, his heart swelled with pride when Fu Pei confirmed he had already obtained his business license and made all the necessary preparations for his startup. At that moment, he also gave his approval to Wang Shan. Si Tu Mo was selling her books to the warden. The warden, who remembered Si Tu Mo well, began chatting with her about boyfriends.

Upon learning Si Tu Mo liked scientists, she enthusiastically suggested two of her husband's students, mentioning one was very handsome but a bit silly. Not wanting further introductions, Si Tu Mo quickly stated she had a boyfriend. Though the warden stopped her suggestions, she then began listing the many flaws of scientists. Si Tu Mo, however, applied each "flaw" to Gu Weiyi, turning them into charming and positive qualities in her mind.

Si Tu Mo happily went to the lab to find Gu Weiyi and walk home together. Xie Yu Yin and Lu Jian Shi told her Gu Weiyi wasn't there. As soon as Si Tu Mo left, Lu Jian Shi went to the library to try and stir up trouble between Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo. Gu Weiyi confronted her directly, stating that his girlfriend's type was none of her business.

He added that Fu Pei was his friend and was far less arrogant and more polite than her, and that she should stop bullying Zhou Lei. To emphasize his point, Gu Weiyi intentionally hinted that Zhou Lei had been in a rehabilitation center. Feeling exceptionally good after confronting Lu Jian Shi, Gu Weiyi was further cheered when Si Tu Mo unexpectedly found 800 yuan.

Si Tu Mo suggested they spend the money on home goods and, on a whim, decided to make ceramic ornaments together. As they molded the clay, Si Tu Mo imagined Gu Weiyi embracing her, their hands intertwined. However, the pragmatic Gu Weiyi proved far less romantic than Si Tu Mo had envisioned. After their pottery session, Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi returned home and happily decorated their cozy little living space.

Later, Fu Pei came to the dorm to borrow money from Si Tu Mo, as his scholarship funds were not yet disbursed. Si Tu Mo asked how much he needed, but he challenged her, asking if she could lend him any amount, reminding her he knew she came from a wealthy family. He first asked for 5,000 yuan, then 500, and finally 50, but Si Tu Mo rejected even the lowest amount. Fu Pei then dramatically declared that business tycoons who start from scratch always face initial skepticism, and he would endure it.

Episode 22 Recap

With their new apartment finally set up, Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi lie on the bed chatting. When their eyes meet, a sudden awkwardness fills the air. They both stand up, and Si Tu Mo quickly finds an excuse to take a shower. Having washed her bed sheets, Si Tu Mo plans to sleep on the sofa. Gu Weiyi, trying to be considerate, offers his room to Si Tu Mo while he sleeps on the mattress, but she refuses.

Later, as Si Tu Mo is cleaning her ears with a cotton bud on the sofa, Gu Weiyi startles her, causing the cotton bud to poke her ear. Concerned, Gu Weiyi checks on her and remembers her roommate mentioning that Si Tu Mo's ears are sensitive. He tests this by blowing into her ear, making her jump in surprise. After this, Si Tu Mo agrees to sleep in his room.

In the middle of the night, both Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi are restless and unable to sleep. They end up sharing the bed, but the atmosphere is tense. Gu Weiyi suggests he sleep outside, but Si Tu Mo reassures him, saying she trusts him. Gu Weiyi, however, warns her not to trust him. When Si Tu Mo then attempts to leave, Gu Weiyi stops her.

Drawn to Gu Weiyi's profile, Si Tu Mo asks if he truly likes her. Gu Weiyi deeply expresses his love for her, and Si Tu Mo shyly reciprocates, and they decide to attempt intimacy for the first time. Moments later, Gu Weiyi lies beside her, looking utterly defeated. Si Tu Mo tries to console him, explaining that theory and practice are different, and that it is perfectly normal for a first attempt to be unsuccessful.

Gu Weiyi, frustrated by the failure, tells her to stop talking, and Si Tu Mo, understanding his bruised ego, complies. Unwilling to accept failure, Gu Weiyi gets up and diligently studies on his computer, thoroughly researching the topic of human reproduction. He is so engrossed that he doesn't notice dawn breaking. When Si Tu Mo wakes up and asks what he's watching, Gu Weiyi proudly displays the "Human Sexuality" open class from Stanford University he's been studying all night.

Si Tu Mo has to go to work and leaves him to continue his studies. At her office, Xu Jie Er informs Si Tu Mo that their design for the Golden Pin Advertising Design Contest has been shortlisted, but their names have been removed and replaced with the company's "4th Creative Department."

During a subsequent company meeting, the director praises Si Tu Mo for her work on another project and announces that both she and Xu Jie Er will be promoted to permanent staff ahead of schedule for their contributions to the shortlisted works. Despite this news, Si Tu Mo remains visibly unhappy. Meanwhile, Gu Weiyi is engrossed in discussing the Germany exchange exam answers with Zhou Lei, causing him to miss Si Tu Mo's calls.

When she gets home, Gu Weiyi embraces her to offer comfort, but she misinterprets his gesture. Thinking his embrace is solely driven by a desire for intimacy, especially after he mentions a "Harvard open class" about the importance of touch, Si Tu Mo pulls away. Gu Weiyi corners her against the wall, asking what she is angry about, but she tells him to figure it out himself. He attempts to kiss her, but she pushes him away.

As he pursues her, he trips and falls onto her. Si Tu Mo asks if he can think of anything else, but Gu Weiyi genuinely doesn't understand. Frustrated, Si Tu Mo spells out her feelings, leaving Gu Weiyi feeling misunderstood, and they part ways unhappily. Elsewhere, Wang Shan and Fu Pei make progress in planning their startup, but they face an 80,000 yuan budget deficit.

Fu Pei, no longer relying on his parents, is now determined to find solutions and take responsibility. Wang Shan is pleased with his transformation. Later, they reach out to Si Tu Mo to help revise their company logo. At the same time, Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo, still in a standoff, coincidentally call Fu Pei and Wang Shan separately to complain about each other, each declaring they will not apologize first.

However, Gu Weiyi sheds his pride and is the first to approach Si Tu Mo, knocking on her door and then pretending someone else did it. His strange behavior scares her a little, so she joins him in the living room. Gu Weiyi deliberately plays a horror movie to frighten her, and she genuinely gets scared and starts to cry. Realizing his mistake, Gu Weiyi offers his arm for her to bite as an outlet for her anger.

Si Tu Mo bites him gently, then immediately feels sorry. He embraces and comforts her. Si Tu Mo explains that she's upset about her work not being credited. Gu Weiyi immediately offers to hack into the contest website and change all the artwork names to hers, which makes her smile. The next morning, as Gu Weiyi prepares to go to the lab, Si Tu Mo searches for her Liuzhou river snail rice noodles.

Gu Weiyi reveals he deliberately hid them on a high shelf, intending for her to ask him for help as a way to fully reconcile. His childish tactic makes Si Tu Mo happy. At the lab, the results for the Germany exchange program are announced. Zhou Lei is nervous but confident he scored higher. However, Gu Weiyi's score is 19 points higher than his. A heartbroken Zhou Lei watches as Gu Weiyi begins the procedures for his exchange to Germany.

Professor Jiang reminds the students to inform their families about the trip. Gu Weiyi, who always makes his own decisions, admits he hasn't mentioned his departure to his parents or to Si Tu Mo yet.

Episode 23 Recap

Professor Jiang advised Gu Weiyi to take care of his affairs, and Gu Weiyi, unsure if Si Tu Mo would be upset about him not telling her about his upcoming trip abroad, asked Xie Yu Yin for her opinion. Si Tu Mo arrived at that moment to see Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi still hesitated to mention the trip and instead suggested taking her to see his lab.

In the lab, Si Tu Mo was highly curious, asking about other students and why they returned to the old lab. Gu Weiyi explained that their new project required the specific environment of the older facility. She then asked him to take off his white coat so she could try it on, playfully commanding him to fetch "nitroglycerin," a word she thought sounded professional.

Gu Weiyi, after some hesitation, finally revealed that he had qualified to join Professor Jiang, Lu Jian Shi, and Xie Yu Yin for an exchange program at Heidelberg University in Germany. Si Tu Mo was astonished to learn that the invitation came at the end of last year and that he was only telling her now, especially since the trip was for more than six months and visas were being fast-tracked for a departure in two weeks.

Gu Weiyi attempted to explain, saying he wasn't sure he'd qualify and had been busy with their relationship. Si Tu Mo, feeling that he implied she was a distraction, grew angry and walked away, telling him not to follow her. That evening, the two dorms had a celebratory dinner, but Si Tu Mo was still furious and ignored Gu Weiyi. While everyone else enjoyed themselves, a tension lingered between the couple.

Fu Pei and Fatty drank too much, causing a noisy commotion. Wang Shan, with a single reprimand, made Fu Pei obediently quiet down. Gu Weiyi observed this interaction intently. On the way home, he pretended to be heavily intoxicated and collapsed onto Si Tu Mo. Though she suspected he was faking, Si Tu Mo didn't press the issue until they were home.

When Gu Weiyi continued his drunken act to gain her forgiveness, Si Tu Mo sternly exposed his pretense and demanded an explanation for why he hadn't told her about his trip to Germany with Xie Yu Yin. Gu Weiyi acknowledged his oversight, explaining that he had always made his own decisions and simply informed his parents afterward, as they didn't understand his work. However, he promised to change if she disliked this method.

Seeing his sincere attitude, Si Tu Mo's anger began to subside. Gu Weiyi genuinely asked if she didn't want him to go, he wouldn't, but Si Tu Mo assured him she wouldn't hinder his future and would wait for his return. The next day, Si Tu Mo took Gu Weiyi to the hospital for a physical examination, blood drawing, and vaccinations. Gu Weiyi was terrified of needles and wore sunglasses, claiming he didn't want to see the color of blood.

Si Tu Mo patiently encouraged him. The first vaccine shot was quick, but the second, administered by a trainee nurse, was painful and continued to bleed afterward. Si Tu Mo, concerned, went to get cotton for him. While she was gone, Gu Weiyi received a call from Si Tu Mo's mother.

She warned him that Si Tu Mo's way of dealing with reluctance was peculiar: first, she would find fault incessantly, then become cold and pretend he didn't exist, and finally, become extremely clingy, like "super glue." These behaviors were soon manifested by Si Tu Mo. She began picking at minor things like his cup leaving marks, then acted distant, before tearfully pleading with him to take her along to Germany.

She emotionally argued that he couldn't go alone to drink German beer, fearing something would happen to him if she wasn't there. Her pitiful demeanor touched Gu Weiyi deeply, and he embraced and comforted her. At the airport, Si Tu Mo employed various tactics to prolong their time together, suggesting they go to KFC or eat ramen. Gu Weiyi eventually had to leave but held Si Tu Mo tightly, worried if she could truly manage on her own.

Si Tu Mo, trying to appear strong, suddenly turned and walked away. Six months later, Si Tu Mo and Jie Er confronted Director Sha Sha at their company regarding their artwork not being credited under their names. The director, accusing them of having a difficult attitude, implied they were no longer suitable for the company.

Si Tu Mo, having endured unfair treatment and the company's practice of plagiarizing others' works, resigned, stating she didn't want her career to be controlled by someone like the director. Jie Er, inspired, also resigned. Meanwhile, Fu Pei had established his own company, but his only employee, Chen Xiao Xi, left after two months of unpaid wages.

Wang Shan, exasperated, urged Fu Pei to resolve the financial issues, including paying Chen Xiao Xi and hiring a proper accountant, rather than relying on her for calculations. Fu Pei promised to address everything. Si Tu Mo returned home, where her mother constantly questioned her sudden resignation. Feeling unwell with a cold, jobless, and missing Gu Weiyi, Si Tu Mo's mood was low. She video-called Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi had asked Si Tu Mo's mother to care for her.

Her mother brought her walnut soup, effective for colds according to her grandmother, and subtly probed about Si Tu Mo's German visa, which had only been approved after Gu Weiyi helped her prepare a detailed travel plan following an earlier rejection due to suspected immigration intent. She then inquired when Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi planned to marry.

Si Tu Mo avoided the marriage question, but her mother persisted, expressing worry that Gu Weiyi might change his mind while in Germany. Si Tu Mo retreated to her room to continue her video call with Gu Weiyi. He sensed her unhappiness, but she didn't reveal her true feelings. In Germany, Gu Weiyi was indeed being harassed by Anna, Professor's daughter, who offered to be his girlfriend there, despite him mentioning his girlfriend in China.

His roommate, witnessing Gu Weiyi's lack of interest, openly displayed affection with his own girlfriend and couldn't comprehend Gu Weiyi's detached attitude. Gu Weiyi, feeling annoyed, revealed that he had already bought a ticket to return home. Meanwhile, Lin Zhi Cun, visiting Si Tu Mo's former advertising company, overheard news of her resignation, looking thoughtful. Since resigning, Si Tu Mo stayed home.

While replacing the battery of "Circle," a robot, she accidentally discovered a "military pledge" note Gu Weiyi had secretly taped under the table. It was a promise he made to persuade her to live with him. Overjoyed, Si Tu Mo immediately began packing to go to Germany. Her mother initially tried to stop her, but upon learning Si Tu Mo intended to "force him to marry me," she enthusiastically helped her pack.

Si Tu Mo didn't inform Gu Weiyi of her spontaneous trip, wanting to surprise him. In Germany, Gu Weiyi, having been unable to contact Si Tu Mo for a day, frantically called Fu Pei at 2 AM Beijing time to inquire about her. Upon returning to his room, he was shocked to find someone in his bed. His roommate casually mentioned it was his girlfriend, leaving Gu Weiyi stunned.

He whispered "Si Tu Mo," and she pulled back the covers, revealing her face. Overwhelmed with emotion, Gu Weiyi simply watched her sleep, then quietly lay down beside her. The next morning, Gu Weiyi's mother called, also inquiring about his and Si Tu Mo's marriage plans. Gu Weiyi assured her that everything was "in planning." He then softly asked the still sleeping Si Tu Mo if she was there to "force him to marry." Si Tu Mo sleepily affirmed.

Gu Weiyi then whispered that he had already bought a ticket to return to China to propose to her, though Si Tu Mo, still half-asleep, did not hear this part. He prepared breakfast, and Si Tu Mo slowly woke up, adjusting to the time difference.

Episode 24 Recap

Si Tu Mo woke up to find Anna bothering Gu Weiyi. Si Tu Mo immediately stepped forward, asserting her claim by declaring, "I'm his girlfriend." Anna looked at her dismissively, only to be met with Gu Weiyi's firm declaration, "She's not my girlfriend, she's my wife." Si Tu Mo then cleverly added, "It's true, and I'm pregnant." With this, the two successfully deterred Anna.

After Anna left, Gu Weiyi pressed Si Tu Mo for an explanation about the "pregnant" comment, and she feigned ignorance, claiming her English was too poor to know such a word. Finding her evasive, Gu Weiyi decided to take Si Tu Mo to a German church, insisting it was for "English lessons." During the ceremony, the officiant, JC Caster, began reading the vows. Si Tu Mo grew anxious, quickly realizing Gu Weiyi's true intention was to marry her.

Gu Weiyi, holding her hand, firmly said "Yes, I do" to his vows. When it was Si Tu Mo's turn, she hesitated, stunned. Gu Weiyi, thinking she might be reluctant, softly reassured her, stating, "It's okay. If you don't want. . . I just want you to know you're really in my plan." Si Tu Mo, touched, then agreed.

Later, as they sat outside a cafeteria, Si Tu Mo expressed her frustration about their unconventional wedding, lamenting, "I didn't even wear a wedding gown! Where's the ring? Not even a ring." They then encountered Senior Xie Yu Yin, who was surprised to learn of their marriage but offered her congratulations. Meanwhile, Fu Pei excitedly informed Wang Shan that his bank loan had been approved.

That evening, Si Tu Mo continued to voice her desire for a wedding dress and ring. Gu Weiyi, feigning sleep to avoid the topic, prompted Si Tu Mo to comically attempt CPR on him. He then sprang up, pulling her close, leading to their first intimate moment. Separately, Si Tu Mo's former art director was preoccupied with news that Lin Zhi Cun had publicly released Si Tu Mo's resignation letter, causing a stir.

The next morning, Si Tu Mo suddenly became ill and vomited. A concerned Gu Weiyi asked what she had eaten, to which she admitted taking contraceptives given to her by his roommate's girlfriend. Gu Weiyi was deeply worried, especially upon learning she had taken them on an empty stomach. When he asked her why, Si Tu Mo confessed she felt a child might not yet fit into his plans.

Gu Weiyi quickly reassured her, asserting, "Everything about you is in my plan," which greatly comforted her. Soon after, their visit concluded, and Si Tu Mo prepared to return home.

She received a call from Jie Er, who excitedly informed her that Lin Zhi Cun had championed their cause regarding the stolen artwork, posting Si Tu Mo's resignation letter on his blog, which led to a hot topic and the company addressing the issue of the colleague who plagiarized her work. Overjoyed, Si Tu Mo returned to China, joined shortly by Gu Weiyi, who also came back after completing his studies.

Back home, they were amused to find their robot, Circle, had been "upgraded" by Gu Weiyi's father. Observing their living situation, Gu Weiyi suggested, "I think we should live in the same room." He then revealed that the spare room had already been converted into his new lab. They soon realized they hadn't informed their parents about their marriage.

Recognizing that the German church ceremony wasn't legally binding in China, Gu Weiyi revealed he had already preemptively booked an appointment for their official marriage registration. They quickly proceeded to complete the formal procedures, officially becoming legal spouses. As they received their two copies of the marriage certificate, Si Tu Mo light-heartedly joked about having a spare in case one got lost, prompting Gu Weiyi to playfully confiscate her copy for safekeeping.

Moments later, Si Tu Mo's mother called, warmly congratulating the couple. Gu Weiyi, feeling a bit shy, officially addressed her as "Mom" for the first time. When they later met Gu Weiyi's parents, Si Tu Mo sweetly addressed them as "Mom" and "Dad," instantly winning their approval and affection. Gu Weiyi's father shared some heartfelt advice with his son, remarking that while "It's not scary to get married, but marriage is not that easy."

Gu Weiyi acknowledged this, understanding that even with his scientific mind, Si Tu Mo would always comprehend him in a way others might not. Gu Weiyi's father offered them beautiful blessings for their future. With their official marriage, Gu Weiyi and Si Tu Mo's newlywed life truly began. After they married, Si Tu Mo began actively searching for a job.

She shared her frustrations with Gu Weiyi, listing demanding job requirements like being able to drink a large amount of liquor, recognizing 300 celebrities, or having "a story in your eyes." Gu Weiyi, seeing her struggle, offered to support her, suggesting she take a break or consider graduate studies. He then produced a bank card, offering it to her.

Initially, Si Tu Mo thought it wouldn't be much, then learned it was money her grandmother had sent after hearing about their marriage, which she refused to spend. Finally, he revealed it was his accumulated scholarship money, a significant sum of 240,000 yuan. Si Tu Mo, delighted, playfully hugged him. Later, Si Tu Mo attempted to discuss popular culture, specifically the "Four Flow Men after 1985" and the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Hong Kong.

Gu Weiyi, however, could only relate "flow" to physics and was completely unaware of the pop culture figures, leading to a playful debate where they exchanged knowledge from their respective fields. Despite their different interests, Si Tu Mo found Gu Weiyi's earnestness endearing, and they ended up laughing.

The next morning, before Gu Weiyi left for his lab, he drank the bitter herbal tea his mother had prepared for him, and their sweet day began with Si Tu Mo's morning kiss. In the lab, Gu Weiyi and Zhou Lei discussed the significance of the number four, which led to Gu Weiyi discovering Zhou Lei also knew about the "Four Heavenly Kings." Gu Weiyi quickly changed the subject back to their experiment reports.

Elsewhere, Si Tu Mo called Wang Shan, who revealed she was at Fu Pei's company, there to celebrate their anniversary. Si Tu Mo almost let slip that Fu Pei was planning a proposal, quickly being silenced by Wang Shan. The two friends then engaged in their usual banter about who should treat whom to a celebratory meal.

Later, when Si Tu Mo and Gu Weiyi returned home, they found their parents had already left, but not without leaving a heartwarming message and a pot full of pepper mantis prawns. Si Tu Mo, a big fan of the dish, immediately claimed she would eat them all. Gu Weiyi, recalling his old excuse of being allergic to mantis prawns, resignedly helped her peel them.

Si Tu Mo playfully teased him, revealing she had known all along his allergy was fake, implying his feelings for her had developed back when they were by the sea. Meanwhile, Fu Pei, though nervous, genuinely proposed to Wang Shan, who joyfully accepted. Si Tu Mo then tried on a wedding dress, leaving Gu Weiyi utterly mesmerized by her beauty. Following her creative ideas, they proceeded to take a series of unique and cool wedding photographs.

Gu Weiyi reflected on how much Si Tu Mo had changed him, causing his usual high IQ to drop significantly, leading him to do "a lot of stupid things" like losing his composure and willingly riding in a car driven by her, despite the perceived danger. He recognized that with Si Tu Mo, his life had become filled with an unexpected sweetness and a willingness to embrace new, unpredictable experiences.

Later, after the birth of their child, Gu Wei Mo, their parents often joked that while "parents are true love, the child is an accident." Nevertheless, the happiness of their family of three continued to grow with each passing day.

Episode 25 (Ending) Recap

Situ Mo had a big reaction after taking the birth control pills. Gu Weiyi wanted to know why Situ Mo took the pills. Situ Mo thought the child wasn't in Gu Weiyi's plan. Of course not, everything about Situ Mo was in Gu Weiyi's plan. Situ Mo praised Gu Weiyi, saying he was much more impressive than in China. Gu Weiyi was smug. Actually, Situ Mo's meaning wasn't that impure. Situ Mo was returning to China the next day.

The two were chatting when Situ Mo suddenly called out "Husband." Gu Weiyi's heart fluttered, and he was incredibly happy. Later, the two returned to China together. As soon as they got off the plane, they made an appointment to get their marriage certificate. As they walked to the Civil Affairs Bureau, Situ Mo suddenly felt her responsibilities would be heavy in the future because once she came out, she would be a married woman.

Gu Weiyi naturally dispelled Situ Mo's worries. The two happily went to get their certificate. Situ Mo forgot her household registration book, but thankfully Gu Weiyi had prepared everything meticulously. Little confused Situ Mo didn't even understand the marriage registration fee. Gu Weiyi joked that it seemed the heavy responsibility in the future would have to be borne by him. The two successfully obtained their certificate and became a formal couple.

From now on, all household chores like buying groceries, cooking, washing clothes, washing dishes, and mopping would be done by Gu Weiyi. Situ Mo was only responsible for being Gu Weiyi's wife. " "" After her interview, Situ Mo happily went to the lab to find Gu Weiyi. Coincidentally, Zhou Lei was also there, sighing about a "femme fatale." Situ Mo acted coquettishly towards Gu Weiyi. Gu Weiyi gave Zhou Lei a stare and chased him away.

Situ Mo excitedly told Gu Weiyi that Fu Pei was going to propose. It turned out that Gu Weiyi had even helped book the restaurant for the proposal. Fu Pei also showed Situ Mo the engagement ring. Gu Weiyi was not convinced and wanted to manually create a ring much harder than diamond. To make Situ Mo happy, Gu Weiyi actually made a piece of glass with very high hardness.

He also threw in a cheesy pick-up line: "Our love is indestructible." Situ Mo was happy but immediately wanted to smash the glass. Gu Weiyi showed off his skills again. Not long after, the adorable child, Gu Mo Wei, appeared. The young couple pulled the child along. The child sat in a stroller holding snacks bought from the supermarket, complaining to his parents that he couldn't carry them and wanted Mom to take them.

Gu Weiyi warned Gu Mo Wei that he would regret doing this. The result was that the stroller was given to Mom, Dad carried the snacks, and the child Gu Mo Wei walked by himself. Although the family was happy, it also confirmed the "famous saying" that parents are true love and the child is an accident.
