A sad Biyao, holding the Hehuan Bell, was lost in thought. Xiaofan stood alone in the mountains. His Blood-Drinking Pearl reacted, and a yellow bird flew over, leading Xiaofan into the spell formation set up by Li Xun and Yan Hong. Xiaofan fainted. When he woke up, he found himself trapped in Shangguan Ce's spell formation. He sternly denounced Shangguan Ce, saying that as a member of a prestigious righteous sect, his actions were despicable.
Shangguan Ce, enraged, cast a spell on Xiaofan, causing him unbearable pain. Li Xun knew that Xiaofan would never yield, so he devised a plan to use Xiaofan as bait to force Biyao to hand over the Xuanhuo Mirror. Late at night, Biyao was wandering in the mountains. Yedog, knowing she had regained her memory, tried to stop Biyao from going to the righteous sects' base. However, Biyao insisted on going, so Yedog had no choice but to follow.
Xiaofan did not return all night, and Xueqi, worried, decided to go look for him. While chatting with Axiang of Tianyin Temple, Yan Hong furtively tried to slip away. Xueqi noticed something amiss and deliberately called out to her. Yan Hong, without being prompted, blurted out that Xiaofan's disappearance had nothing to do with her. This made Xueqi firmly believe that the Burning Incense Valley was inextricably linked to Xiaofan's disappearance.
She knew that a small yellow bird had always followed Xiaofan, and she discussed with Axiang that as long as they found the yellow bird, they could find Xiaofan. Axiang encountered Biyao while searching for Xiaofan in the mountains. Biyao deduced that Xiaofan was imprisoned by the Burning Incense Valley. She asked Yedog to go back and send a message to the Ghost King, saying that she had been captured by people from the Burning Incense Valley.
This was actually because Biyao knew that the people from Burning Incense Valley were difficult to deal with, and she wanted to ask her father and others for help. Li Xun brought Xiaofan to the mountain. With a blade held to Xiaofan's neck, Biyao, who had been following behind, walked out. She demanded Li Xun release Zhang Xiaofan, stating that she would hand over the Xuanhuo Mirror to them. Xiaofan walked step by step towards Biyao.
Biyao, holding the Xuanhuo Mirror, also walked step by step towards Li Xun and the others. Suddenly, Biyao used her magic to untie the ropes binding Zhang Xiaofan. Shangguan Ce attacked, and Xiaofan was injured while protecting Biyao. Fortunately, the Ghost King, Qinglong, and Youji arrived in time and defeated Shangguan Ce and his group. Biyao looked at the severely injured and unconscious Xiaofan, asking her father to save him. The Ghost King left with Xiaofan.
A little later, Tian Buyi, Cang Song, and Shui Yue also arrived. Shui Yue, based on the traces on the ground, deduced that a fierce battle had just taken place there. Xueqi also arrived shortly after. She told Tian Buyi that Xiaofan was missing and might be in mortal danger. Tian Buyi was very worried. The Ghost King sacrificed his own cultivation to save Xiaofan.
However, with a major war between the righteous and demonic factions imminent, he ordered Qinglong to imprison Xiaofan. Cang Song, Tian Buyi, Shui Yue, and Lu Xueqi, a group of four, arrived at the Burning Incense Valley's encampment. Yan Hong, always arrogant and overbearing, aggressively accused Xiaofan of colluding with the demonic cult. Axiang found the small yellow bird trapped in a spell formation in the backyard of the Burning Incense Valley.
Axiang approached Yan Hong, accusing their Burning Incense Valley of bullying the weak in Yudou with their power, and now retaliating this way after being taught a lesson by Xiaofan was truly against the righteous path. Yan Hong still righteously declared that holding Zhang Xiaofan hostage was not wrong. Shangguan Ce walked out, stopped Yan Hong, and apologized to the Qingmen on her behalf. Cang Song stated that everyone should work together to fight the demonic cult at this time.
Shangguan Ce asked everyone to help heal Li Xun. Axiang and Xueqi worried about Xiaofan, fearing that someone might sow discord and falsely accuse Xiaofan of being deeply involved with the demonic cult. Li Xun was poisoned by the Camphor Wood Poison of the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect. Shangguan Ce, in his urgency, accused Xiaofan of being entangled with the demonic cult.
Tian Buyi, eager to protect his disciple, argued with Shangguan Ce, stating that the truth of right and wrong would be known once Xiaofan returned. The Ghost King once again tried to persuade Xiaofan to join the Ghost King Sect, but Xiaofan still refused. Xueqi explained her long-standing grudge with Li Xun to Shui Yue. Unexpectedly, Shui Yue not only failed to understand but stubbornly insisted that Xiaofan was colluding with the demonic cult. Xueqi knelt down to plead for Xiaofan, explaining that Xiaofan had saved her when she encountered Shākui again.
