For the safety of the villagers, Xiao Fan suggested that the villagers of Xiao Chi Town find another peaceful sanctuary to live in seclusion. After bidding farewell to Xiao Qi and the villagers, Shu Shu, worried about Xiao Fan's safety, asked Xiao Fan to return to Yu Du City with him. However, Xiao Fan solemnly stated that he had to return to Qing Yun because he had something important to ask his master.

Shu Shu was shocked and quietly asked Xiao Fan what had happened to him, and why he had become so abnormal since returning from the Full Moon Well. Xiao Fan told him that he would confide in him if the opportunity arose. Shu Shu then urged Xiao Fan to take good care of Xue Qi for him, as he himself had to return to govern Yu Du City, which was in ruins awaiting reconstruction.

At Qing Men, Dao Xuan, Cang Song, and Tian Bu Yi were discussing sect affairs. Recently, many members of the Demonic Sect had gathered at Donghai Liupo Mountain, searching for the divine beast Kui Niu to resurrect the Beast God. Dao Xuan also received news from Xue Qi, learning that she was bringing Xiao Fan back. Following Tian Bu Yi's suggestion, Dao Xuan agreed to let Xue Qi and Xiao Fan head directly to Liupo Mountain to rendezvous with them.

At Da Zhu Peak, Su Ru heard of Dao Xuan's arrangement and expressed her worries to Tian Bu Yi. Tian Bu Yi comforted his wife, mentioning that Xue Qi had praised Xiao Fan's improved martial arts upon her last return. No sooner had he finished speaking than Song Da Ren came up with two junior disciples, pleading with their master to take them to Liupo Mountain.

Tian Bu Yi agreed, believing that bringing these disciples could divert Cang Song's attention and prevent him from fixating on Xiao Fan. Tian Ling'er learned that her father and junior disciples were heading to Liupo Mountain, and she pleaded with Qi Hao to intercede with the sect, as she also wanted to go to Liupo Mountain because she was worried about Xiao Fan's safety. Qi Hao, unable to resist Ling'er's pleas, agreed to her request.

Late at night, Tian Bu Yi quietly came to the ancestral hall to bid farewell to Wan Jian Yi. Wan Jian Yi cautioned him to be careful in all matters. Jing Yu, who unintentionally overheard their conversation, requested permission from Wan Jian Yi to also go to Liupo Mountain. Firstly, he was worried about Xiao Fan being framed by the beastmen, and secondly, he wanted to use the opportunity to investigate the truth behind the beastmen incident.

Wan Jian Yi told him that Tian Bu Yi would take good care of Xiao Fan and advised him to continue his cultivation peacefully and wait for the right moment. Xue Qi noticed that Xiao Fan had been in low spirits throughout their journey. While resting by a mountain stream, Xue Qi voiced her confusion. Xiao Fan said that if two people were destined to part ways sooner or later, it would be better to cut off all thoughts early.

He told Xue Qi that he wanted to return this time because there were too many things he couldn't understand. Xue Qi stated that, in her opinion, Xiao Fan was like a vortex, and anyone who got close to him would be drawn into it. Xiao Fan agreed with Xue Qi, saying perhaps Bi Yao being away from him meant she could live a carefree life in the Ghost King Sect. Xiao Fan then asked about Jing Yu's predicament.

Upon learning the situation, he was greatly shocked. Xiao Fan remarked that when he and Jing Yu parted ways at Dinghai Manor, Jing Yu seemed normal. He worried that the beastmen had already infiltrated the Qing Men. Xiao Fan told Xue Qi that after the Seven Veins Martial Competition, he and Jing Yu had encountered beastmen, and then again on the way to Dinghai Manor.

He believed Jing Yu must have been framed by the beastmen on his way back this time. Xue Qi understood the beastmen's plot: to use the sect leader's hand to eliminate Jing Yu. While they were still in a state of shock, Xue Qi's master sent a long-distance message, urging them to hurry to Liupo Mountain to rendezvous with them. Bi Yao sat alone in the inn, lost in thought.

She recalled Xiao Fan's abnormal behavior after seeing the premonition in the Full Moon Well, and his subsequent cold attitude towards her. Yet, Bi Yao knew Xiao Fan's true feelings for her. She knew that Xiao Fan might have an unavoidable hardship, and she shed tears. Li Xun arrived before Bi Yao with his junior disciples, demanding that she hand over the Xuanhuo Mirror.

Qin Wu Yan, who had been silently following Bi Yao, appeared at this moment and drove away Li Xun and the others. Bi Yao held a knife to Qin Wu Yan's neck. She questioned him why he had tricked her into killing Zhang Xiao Fan.

Qin Wu Yan said that he knew Bi Yao might kill him once she remembered the truth, just as Zhang Xiao Fan and she, despite knowing that cultivators of righteousness and demons could not love each other, still insisted on being together. Bi Yao declared that her fate was not to be gambled with, but to be fought for by herself. She told Qin Wu Yan not to play tricks in front of her.

Qin Wu Yan then informed her that her father had sent a message, instructing them both to immediately head to Liupo Mountain. Xiao Fan and Xue Qi stayed at an inn and encountered Li Xun and Shang Guan Ce. The arrogant Shang Guan Ce got into a verbal dispute with Xue Qi. Yan Hong arrived, stating that Bi Yao and Qin Wu Yan were heading to Liupo Mountain with the Xuanhuo Mirror.

Shang Guan Ce then led his disciples in pursuit. Shu Shu received news from his sect and also planned to rush to Liupo Mountain. Xiao Huan and her grandfather tried to dissuade him. The astute Shu Shu detected from his grandfather's words that his grandfather was very familiar with the Demonic Sect, and wanted to clarify the reasons, but his grandfather refused to reveal anything further.

Qing Long saw Qin Wu Yan's feelings for Bi Yao, but Qin Wu Yan stated that he knew his limits. Bi Yao questioned her father why he had extracted her memories. The Ghost King explained that he did it for her own good. Bi Yao retorted by asking her father if he could forget her mother. The Ghost King said that if he could resurrect her mother, he would do anything.

Bi Yao thought of Xiao Fan and suddenly realized that Xiao Fan's abnormal reaction might be because he saw her fate was short-lived in the Full Moon Well. Bi Yao told her father that her mother had told her she never regretted anything, and so she did not regret either. The Ghost King was touched by Bi Yao's words.

He felt that since he couldn't stop Bi Yao, he might as well recruit Zhang Xiao Fan into the Ghost King Sect. Xue Qi brought Xiao Fan to Liupo Mountain and told him that a war between the righteous and demonic factions could break out at any moment, urging him to be prepared. Xiao Fan asked Xue Qi to go back first, believing that the people from Fenxiang Valley would surely make a move, and he would wait there. Xue Qi understood Xiao Fan's thoughts and did not insist.
