Liuwei used his magic to send everyone out of the cave, choosing to leave the world with Sanniang. Everyone was stunned by Liuwei's magic, lying scattered in the desert. Xiao Qi woke up and saw the collapsed Black Stone Cave behind him, knowing that his elder brother and sister-in-law had left him forever. Xiao Qi knelt in the desert in despair. Xiao Fan and the others were also very sad.
Biyao walked forward and held Xiao Fan's hand to comfort him. Xiao Fan looked at Biyao and tightened his grip on her hand. Biyao sat alone in the forest. Xiao Fan made her favorite steamed buns. Biyao recalled every meal he had cooked for her since they met, feeling a sense of warmth. Biyao asked Xiao Fan why, after she lost her memory, he acted like her father and didn't tell her the truth.
Xiao Fan explained that when he learned Biyao had lost her memory, he felt that if forgetting the past could free her from pain, he would rather she not remember it. Biyao resentfully stated that because of her amnesia, she almost mistakenly killed Xiao Fan. Xiao Fan told her that all the beautiful and painful memories were in his heart, and only death could bring relief.
Biyao smiled upon hearing this; she knew Xiao Fan's love for her was equally profound. Biyao told Xiao Fan that they had actually met when they were children, in the cave in Caomiao Village. Xiao Fan recalled Biyao crying while hugging him by the sea, lamenting that he should have realized long ago that the person he met in the cave as a child was Biyao. Biyao leaned on Xiao Fan's shoulder.
The two recalled everything they had experienced together, talking and laughing, enjoying the peaceful passage of time. Xue Qi knew that the Xuanhuojian was with Xiao Fan. She told Xiao Fan that whether to hand the Xuanhuojian over to Li Xun was his decision, but she hoped he would return to Qingyun with her as soon as possible. Xiao Fan said he couldn't go back. He took out the letter his Shiniang had given him.
After reading it, Xue Qi understood the reason why Xiao Fan had been constantly delaying his return to Qingmen. Xue Qi still insisted that Xiao Fan go back, stating that she would explain to the Sect Leader. Xiao Fan said he still had some matters to deal with. Xue Qi asked Xiao Fan if Biyao had regained her memories. Xiao Fan reassured Xue Qi, saying he would not do anything to betray his sect.
That night, Xiao Fan came to the Full Moon Well and saw Biyao, who had been waiting for him. Xiao Fan handed the Xuanhuojian to Biyao, but told her to keep it safe and not give it to her father. Biyao asked Xiao Fan to keep the Xuanhuojian, knowing that their path to being together would be full of difficulties, and asked Xiao Fan to take her away with him.
Xiao Fan told Biyao that he could selfishly let go of the Caomiao Village massacre and the nurturing kindness of his sect, but the resurrection of the Beast God concerned the safety of all living beings in the world. Since the first volume of the Heavenly Book had chosen him, he could not shirk this responsibility. Biyao was also conflicted; she understood Xiao Fan, but she was caught between Xiao Fan and her father, finding it difficult to choose.
Biyao told Xiao Fan that the Full Moon Well could predict future events. If the Full Moon Well showed that they would eventually be together, then could Xiao Fan come to find her after he completed his mission? Biyao turned away fearfully after speaking, afraid of facing a negative answer. However, Xiao Fan saw a scene in the Full Moon Well where people were arguing and fighting fiercely, Biyao died, and he himself was seriously injured. Xiao Fan was stunned.
Biyao walked up to him and asked what had happened. Xiao Fan fearfully hugged Biyao; he was so afraid of losing her. Li Xun found Zeng Shushu and others, demanding they hand over the Xuanhuojian. Shushu and Xiao Huan had no idea that the Xuanhuojian was with Xiao Fan. Xiao Fan told Li Xun that he would give him the Xuanhuojian three days later. Li Xun left furiously with his junior disciples.
Afterward, for everyone's safety, Xiao Fan asked Shushu to take Xiao Huan, Xiao Qi, and the others to leave Xiao Chi Town first. Xiao Qi was sad. He came to the room where Luo Ye was imprisoned, accusing Luo Ye of killing the Village Chief and vowing to kill him. Luo Ye, with his cunning tongue, promised to return the spiritual power to the villagers. The naive Xiao Qi believed him and untied him.
Luo Ye held a knife to Xiao Qi's neck, taking Xiao Qi as a hostage. He brought Xiao Qi to Li Xun, demanding that Li Xun use Xiao Qi to exchange for the Xuanhuojian. Li Xun, who was already unscrupulous in achieving his goals, adopted Luo Ye's suggestion. Xiao Fan told Xue Qi his views on the righteous and demonic factions. Xue Qi thought Xiao Fan's words made sense, but were too unconventional for the sect.
Xiao Fan told Xue Qi that he would cut ties with Biyao because he knew that they had no future together. Luo Ye held Xiao Qi hostage and brought him to see Xiao Fan and Xue Qi. Xiao Fan, whose power had greatly increased, defeated Luo Ye with one move. Li Xun arrived shortly after. Xiao Fan asked him to promise not to harm the villagers after getting the Xuanhuojian. He handed the Xuanhuojian to Li Xun.
Luo Ye intercepted it midway. Biyao arrived and snatched the Xuanhuojian back from Luo Ye. She handed the Xuanhuojian to Xiao Fan. Xiao Fan stated that since the Xuanhuojian had already been obtained by someone from the Ghost King Sect, she could do as she pleased. Biyao looked at Xiao Fan's cold attitude, completely bewildered.
