Zhang Xiaofan, Lin Jingyu, and Xiao Yicai arrived at Dinghai Manor in the East Sea and found the place heavily guarded. At the same time, they discovered Wild Dog attempting to sneak into the manor. They hastily apprehended him, but Wild Dog managed to escape by claiming he had met Biyao. Upon entering Dinghai Manor, Lin Jingyu noticed that even ordinary servants possessed martial arts skills, and Meng Ji's demeanor had the style of a jianghu individual.

Zhang Xiaofan and Lin Jingyu arrived at the Ghost King Sect's camp and saw two Demonic Sect disciples approaching them. They cast spells, knocked the two unconscious, and then put on their clothes to infiltrate the Ghost King Sect's stronghold.

Eventually, they were discovered by the Ghost King Sect, and the two engaged in a fierce battle with You Ji. At this moment, Biyao suddenly appeared and stopped Zhang Xiaofan from fighting. Zhang Xiaofan and Lin Jingyu initially wanted to escape but were apprehended by You Ji. Biyao pretended to corner Zhang Xiaofan, hinting that he should take her hostage, allowing them to seize the opportunity to escape.

Biyao followed Zhang Xiaofan and the others back to Dinghai Manor, where she found that Lin Jingyu, who considered himself a gentleman, couldn't cook to satisfy her ravenous hunger. Lin Jingyu, on one hand, accused the Ghost King Sect of wanting to seize the Heavenly Tome and cause chaos, and on the other hand, reminded Zhang Xiaofan not to let Xiao Yicai know about Biyao's capture.

Zhang Xiaofan originally planned to send Biyao away under the cover of night. However, Yuyangzi and Xiao Yicai jointly enforced a curfew in Dinghai Manor, prohibiting anyone from flying with swords. Lin Jingyu told Zhang Xiaofan that they would have to let Biyao temporarily stay in Xiaofan's room and let her sneak out of the city at daybreak. Unexpectedly, all of this was observed by Xiao Yicai.

Lying bored in bed, Biyao got up and asked Zhang Xiaofan if he resented her because she caused the Heavenly Tome to invade his body. Zhang Xiaofan told Biyao that it had nothing to do with her; it was the Ghost Doctor who forced the Heavenly Tome into his body. Biyao urged Zhang Xiaofan to return with her to Fox Hill, so her father could extract the Heavenly Tome from his body.

Zhang Xiaofan refused, citing his promise to return to Qingyun with Lin Jingyu. The next day, while Zhang Xiaofan was still fast asleep, Biyao prepared to leave Dinghai Manor, but she was drugged and captured by Xiao Yicai. After Zhang Xiaofan woke up and found Biyao gone, he frantically searched everywhere. Lin Jingyu, who had also been worried about Biyao, could only comfort Zhang Xiaofan.

Zhang Xiaofan worried that Biyao would be captured by Longevity Hall disciples in the heavily guarded Dinghai Manor. Lin Jingyu told him that Yuyangzi's talismans had already become ineffective, and moreover, Biyao was so clever that the people of Longevity Hall would be utterly powerless against her. At this point, Xiao Yicai deliberately told them that the reason the Ghost King Sect hadn't attacked Dinghai Manor was because Qinglong was still inside, intending to deal with Yuyangzi. After spotting Qinglong, they gave chase. Qinglong managed to shake off Lin Jingyu but was stopped by Zhang Xiaofan.

Zhang Xiaofan knocked Qinglong to the ground. While Zhang Xiaofan was surprised, Qinglong prepared to escape but was bound by Lin Jingyu, who had caught up. Qinglong received a telepathic message from You Ji, informing him that Biyao had been captured. He simply feigned inability to escape and inquired about Biyao's whereabouts. Lin Jingyu and Zhang Xiaofan were also surprised that Biyao hadn't returned yet. At this moment, Xiao Yicai arrived in a hurry and brought Qinglong before Yuyangzi.

Yuyangzi took out the Flower of Sorrow from Biyao's person, intending to negotiate with the Ghost King Sect. Qinglong, using the opportunity of negotiating with Yuyangzi, broke free from his ropes and began fighting Yuyangzi. Xiao Yicai pretended to help Yuyangzi and seized the chance to let Qinglong escape.
