After a moment of tension, Yixiao Naihe broke the silence by simply proposing they team up.
As they embarked on the Underworld Cave dungeon, the first few challenges posed little threat despite Yaoyao’s tendency to run around and attract monsters, forcing Zhenshui Wuxiang to repeatedly come to her aid. Leishen Nini commented on Yaoyao's erratic movements but acknowledged the skill of Yixiao Naihe and Zhenshui Wuxiang. Initially, the team coordinated well, with Yaoyao diligently healing Zhenshui Wuxiang. However, as the fight neared its end, Yaoyao unexpectedly switched her healing focus to Yixiao Naihe, who was the Hag's primary target. This sudden change instantly drew the Hag's aggro to Yaoyao, resulting in her immediate death.
Zhenshui Wuxiang tried to retaliate but was also struck down by the Hag's reflected attack. Weiwei was momentarily paralyzed, realizing that a full attack from her might prevent Yaoyao and Zhenshui Wuxiang from being resurrected. In a stunning display, Yixiao Naihe descended, swiftly resurrecting both Yaoyao and Zhenshui Wuxiang with a wave of his hand, then turned and decisively defeated the Underworld Ghostly Hag. Leishen Nini watched in awe as his actions unfolded flawlessly.
After successfully completing the dungeon, Weiwei and Yixiao Naihe gracefully exited without claiming any spoils. Weiwei praised Yixiao Naihe for his noble act of resurrecting Yaoyao and Zhenshui Wuxiang. Yixiao Naihe replied that doing so would likely make them feel even worse. Weiwei then playfully inquired if he had been on a call during the boss fight, to which he confirmed, explaining he had used earphones. Weiwei was deeply impressed by his ability to multitask so effectively.
In the real world, Xiao Nai was vigorously pursuing the development rights for "A New Chinese Ghost Story" from Feng Teng Corporation, a goal also fiercely desired by Zhen Yi Technologies. Meanwhile, at Zhen Yi, CEO Zhen was equally determined to obtain the rights. He underscored that the project's primary goal was to enhance Zhen Yi's industry standing and influence, which would boost their stock price.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction with Zhen Shaoxiang’s behavior, chiding him for playing on his phone during an important business discussion and remarking on his immaturity. Meng Yiran continued to lament Xiao Nai’s lack of interest. Her friend, Aixiang Nai’er, advised her that her roommate, Na Na, had misled her with aggressive pursuit strategies. Aixiang Nai’er suggested that Meng Yiran should instead rely on her natural charm and beauty to make Xiao Nai pursue her, rather than initiating contact.

CEO Feng explained that player demand for a new edition was high and expressed his anticipation for Xiao Nai's development proposal, mentioning that his own wife was a player of the original game and was keenly interested in the project.
