Xiao Nai sat next to Weiwei at the basketball game, immediately drawing whispers and curious glances from the surrounding girls. Some wondered if it was a mere coincidence, while others firmly believed they were a couple, noting that Xiao Nai had even given Weiwei a ride on his bicycle earlier. The thought of Weiwei "snatching" Xiao Nai was met with envy, considered even more impressive than being crowned School Beauty Queen.
Meng Yiran, also present, appeared to be watching Xiao Nai. As the Computer Science team's lead dwindled to a tie, Xiao Nai calmly told Weiwei not to worry, assuring her the score would widen again once his teammates stopped looking at the spectators. Weiwei took the opportunity to introduce her roommates, Erxi, Xiaoling, and Si Si, to Xiao Nai. He then mentioned that Yu Banshan (Yugong) and Qiu Yonghou (Houzijiou) were downstairs and asked if she wanted to greet them.
Internally, Weiwei wondered if his friends knew she was Luwei Weiwei, to which Xiao Nai replied they did not. She agreed to go meet them. The final whistle blew, sealing Computer Science's victory. Weiwei asked her roommates to wait for her, as she was going with Xiao Nai to meet his friends. She introduced herself as Weiwei, then clarified that she was also Luwei Weiwei from the game.
Yu Banshan was so stunned that he dropped his basketball, realizing that their "Third Brother" and "Third Sister-in-Law" had been "secretly together" all along. The friends joked about Xiao Nai having "landed the beauty queen of our department." Xiao Nai corrected Yu Banshan's misuse of an idiom, clarifying it as "stealthy crossing through Chencang," and they demanded he treat them to a meal.
Before Weiwei left to rejoin her roommates, Xiao Nai reminded her about their planned self-study session, telling her he would wait for her downstairs at 7:30 the next morning and asking her to save him a seat. Back in their dorm, Weiwei’s roommates subjected her to an intense "interrogation." They couldn't believe she had kept her relationship with Xiao Nai a secret, arguing that their behavior at the game suggested they had been dating for at least half a year.
Weiwei pleaded for ten minutes of uninterrupted time to explain. She recounted how she met the "Master" in the game when he came to her rescue, how they became a Couple, and how their real-life meeting that day had unfolded. Suddenly, she realized that the primary reason for their meeting was to discuss a video transfer, chiding herself for being so smitten that she had completely forgotten about their business.
Meanwhile, Hao Mei, having rushed to the basketball court after hearing about Xiao Nai's girlfriend, arrived too late to see her. He expressed his frustration to Yu Banshan and Qiu Yonghou, saying that while he should be happy for his brother, his heart ached for the in-game "Third Sister-in-Law," who had just been stood up by Xiao Nai.
Hao Mei declared Xiao Nai a "scumbag" for having both an in-game and a real-life girlfriend and vowed to seek justice for the in-game "Third Sister-in-Law." Xiao Nai, amused, confirmed he intended to have both. Hao Mei, outraged, called him a "scumbag" again. Seeing his friends barely suppress their laughter, Hao Mei slowly realized the startling truth: Bei Weiwei, the department's beauty queen, and Luwei Weiwei, Xiao Nai's in-game wife, were the same person.
Later, over drinks, the friends discussed last year's beauty queen contest, where Weiwei had controversially lost to Meng Yiran. Xiao Nai quietly accessed the school forum on his laptop and deleted the entire beauty ranking post. The school forums exploded with news of Weiwei and Xiao Nai's relationship, complete with photographic evidence. Cao Guang, whose phone was dead, was blissfully unaware.
Mistakenly believing Weiwei was the in-game character "Huantian Xidi," with whom he had recently formed a couple, he had even bought a necklace as a gift for her. When a friend revealed the truth, Cao Guang was utterly devastated. He angrily called Weiwei "fickle," ranting that they were a couple in the game while she was with Xiao Nai in real life, and questioning if in-game feelings could be trifled with.
Unknown to him, Nana, sitting at a nearby table, discreetly recorded his entire outburst on her phone. While enjoying a late-night snack with his friends, Hao Mei found the food unusually familiar. Upon seeing the chef, he recognized him as the head cook from their school cafeteria. The chef explained he worked part-time at the snack shop at night. The two hit it off immediately, feeling as if they were old friends.
That night, Weiwei was too excited about her upcoming self-study session with Xiao Nai to sleep. However, her roommate Erxi suddenly fell ill with acute gastroenteritis. Weiwei and her other roommates rushed Erxi to the emergency room in the middle of the night. After a long night, Weiwei finally dozed off beside Erxi's hospital bed just before dawn. She woke up at 7 AM, realizing she needed to text Xiao Nai about missing their self-study.
To her astonishment, Xiao Nai was already standing at the hospital room door. He drove all four girls back to school and treated them to breakfast, further cementing his heroic image in the eyes of Erxi and her roommates. Later that morning, Weiwei received a call from Xiao Nai. He asked if she was awake and if she still wanted to go to self-study.
When she noted the study rooms would be full, he assured her he knew a very quiet place off campus for them to go. Weiwei realized that since pictures of them were already circulating online, she no longer needed to worry about others seeing them together.
