An Jingzhao firmly refuses, reminding her that she herself had made him swear to never love another.
He dismisses her concerns as pre-marriage anxiety, reassuring her that he has almost lost her several times and will not let it happen again, promising they will grow old together. On the wedding day, Bai Zhi arrives with precious gifts from Fengnuan Pavilion. However, during the ceremony, Li Chuyue does not appear. Realizing she has left as she hinted, An Jingzhao tells the guests she is feeling unwell and proposes a toast on her behalf.
Afterwards, he meets with his grandmother, formally presenting Li Qing’s disciple and affirming Donghua's competence to manage the villa's affairs. He escapes his confinement by feigning smallpox to create a distraction, then investigates An Jingzhao's private chambers. There, he discovers the fractured Huaxi Stone and deduces that a thunderstorm is the key to activating the portal. Li Chuyue’s parents visit the experience hall and are thoroughly impressed.
Her mother, unaware the owner is An Jingzhao, praises his brilliant business strategy and urges Li Chuyue to pursue the "outstanding" manager. During a special event, An Jingzhao, as the manager, announces he will throw a bouquet, and the woman who catches it will dance with him. Li Chuyue catches the flower, and as they dance, he quietly tells her that she is the only one in his heart. Afterwards, he invites Li Chuyue and her mother for tea.
Meanwhile, back in his world, Jingling accepts that he is too weak to defeat An Jingzhao himself. He devises a new plan, deciding to find Zhou Wei—the one person who hates An Jingzhao as much as he does—to enact his revenge.
