> Lost You Forever Season 2 Recap

As Cang Xuan of Xi Yan prepared to marry Hao Ling Yi, he wore a troubled expression, confusing Xi Ling Jiu Yao. She had thought Hao Ling Yi was special to him and never imagined this wasn’t his desire. Jiu Yao, placing the greater good above all, consoled him that the marriage could bring peace and that Hao Ling Yi genuinely cared for him. Cang Xuan, however, accused Jiu Yao of ignoring his feelings, sparking a quarrel.

Jiu Yao recalled Cang Xuan’s joy when he married Chenrong Xinyue, and compared to his mood now, her dissatisfaction grew. Losing control of his emotions, Cang Xuan attempted to kiss Jiu Yao in frustration, but reason prevailed. He collapsed onto her shoulder, overwhelmed by indescribable feelings. Jiu Yao responded gently, trying to soothe the storm within him.

Now, as Hao Ling Yi was about to step into her marriage with Cang Xuan, her feelings differed greatly from her past hopes—there was no longer that innocent joy or excitement. The Hao Ling King, seeing this, mistook it for regret. Unwilling to see his daughter suffer, he prepared to stop the wedding. But Hao Ling Yi firmly declared that while she knew there was no place for her in Cang Xuan’s heart, her own feelings were sincere.

She admitted that marrying Cang Xuan wasn’t exactly what she had dreamed of, but if she gave it up, she might spend the rest of her life in endless regret. Hao Ling Yi's words revealed growth and transformation. She told her father that she was no longer the girl who only knew romance. She still liked Cang Xuan, but that affection was no longer her whole world.

At crucial moments, she would unhesitatingly stand by her father to protect the family's honor. And in the face of national interests, she was willing to put her personal emotions aside to protect the people of Hao Ling. The Hao Ling King looked at his grown, mature daughter with mixed emotions. He was comforted by her sacrifice and growth, yet inevitably worried about her future happiness. All his feelings welled up into a deep sigh.

Xi Ling Jiu Yao wanted to help Cang Xuan cancel the wedding, but Cang Xuan said he had just been drunk and talking nonsense. Now sober, he felt the wedding didn’t matter as much as the bigger picture. Seeing her brother in pain, Jiu Yao offered to help somehow. Cang Xuan said he only hoped everyone would be safe, and asked Jiu Yao not to attend the wedding.

Jiu Yao agreed, wishing her brother happiness and hoping the union would bring peace between the two nations. On the wedding day of Cang Xuan and Hao Ling Yi, Xi Ling Jiu Yao wandered alone by the sea, her heart filled with thoughts. Just then, Xiang Liu appeared silently before her. His words, sharp as the sea breeze, carried a sense of arrogance and insight.

“I’ve seen through the Hao Ling King’s far-reaching plan,” he whispered, his sharp gaze piercing through Jiu Yao’s composed facade. Jiu Yao tried to stay calm, masking her inner turmoil with a smile, but her subtle reactions only confirmed Xiang Liu’s suspicions. “Now that Cang Xuan of Xi Yan sits firmly on Hao Ling’s throne, his next move will target Hong Jiang,” Xiang Liu said with a complex tone. “What will you do? Will you still follow that doomed current?

” His eyes, fixed on Jiu Yao, were filled with both challenge and expectation. Jiu Yao gently shook her head. Knowing Xiang Liu’s struggle, she tried to reason with him: “Though the Gu poison binds us, it doesn’t mean you must stake your life on Hong Jiang. You have the ability and the right to choose another path. ” But Xiang Liu didn’t respond directly.

He simply smiled faintly and said, “Our fate isn’t so easily changed,” before turning and walking away. Not long after, Tushan Jing arrived joyfully with news of the wedding and, seeing Jiu Yao safe, finally felt at ease. Learning of Xiang Liu’s visit and possible knowledge of the cure, Tushan Jing, though worried, stayed composed and reassured Jiu Yao that everything would resolve in time.

The two walked side by side through a place where they once shared sweet memories, their emotions stirred once more, and they kissed again, unable to resist. All the while, it seemed Xiang Liu sensed everything from afar. He gently touched his lips, as a vague, unnamable emotion rose in his heart. Meanwhile, a major change occurred in Hao Ling. The Hao Ling King abdicated and handed the kingdom over completely to Cang Xuan of Xi Yan.

This move not only solidified Xi Yan’s dominance but also demonstrated the Hao Ling King’s wisdom and foresight. The old king of Xi Yan was deeply gratified, believing Cang Xuan had exceeded his expectations. To further consolidate his rule, the Hao Ling King decided to relocate to Xi Yan Mountain—both a nod to tradition and a declaration for the future.

On the other side, Chenrong Xinyue, resentful that Hao Ling Yi had been made queen, grew distant from her brother Chi Shui Fenglong. She refused to listen to any advice, consumed by her anger and resentment. Faced with his sister’s coldness and rejection, Chi Shui Fenglong could only walk away in silence, leaving behind a quiet room and unspoken sorrow.
