Oscar, Shi Chuchu, and Ji Yingsong were on their way to an event at the hotel. Shi Chuchu expressed her annoyance at Oscar's presence, questioning why the rock singer was in her private car. Oscar playfully explained he was saving the company money, but Shi Chuchu, complaining about the car's small size, retorted that her company was not short on funds.
Oscar boasted about his musical versatility, calling himself a "walking jukebox" who could perform any song Roman and his wife liked. Shi Chuchu, however, stated she preferred crosstalk and threatened to kick him out of the car. Meanwhile, Ji Yingsong complimented Li Zeliang's excellent preparation work for the upcoming auction, noting the high scores from the Fujiade team, though Li Zeliang stated he valued the shareholders' opinions more. Later, at a pre-auction reception, Oscar performed.
Although Shi Chuchu considered him a "second-rate guest," Li Zeliang defended Oscar's talent. Su Xieyi was the only person who clapped after his first song, prompting Oscar to dedicate his next one to her, his "only fan." He mentioned it was a "cheesy" song that Su Xieyi's boyfriend particularly loved, which Ji Yingsong explained was inspired by Oscar's "Muse." Su Xieyi was pleasantly surprised by Oscar's performance, confirming Li Zeliang's good judgment.
Feeling a toothache flare up, Su Xieyi excused herself to rest. Coincidentally, Xie Minghao had also arrived at the hotel. He met Su Xieyi and they went out to eat. He presented her with special German toothache medicine he had a friend bring from abroad, expressing concern over her investigating Chen Hengsheng alone. Unbeknownst to them, Li Zeliang also went to a pharmacy and purchased the same type of medicine for Su Xieyi.
Meanwhile, Oscar's loud guitar playing on his balcony disturbed Shi Chuchu. She angrily confronted him, but Oscar, unfazed, showed her a "fate-matching" app that could supposedly calculate compatibility. Shi Chuchu, initially skeptical, became excited when the app showed a high score for her and Li Zeliang. In their struggle over the phone, it accidentally fell onto the balcony of the room below, which they realized was Li Zeliang's.
Li Zeliang unexpectedly joined Su Xieyi and Xie Minghao, publicly demonstrating affection for Su Xieyi by insisting they share a meal. Noticing the medicine from Xie Minghao, Li Zeliang discreetly hid his own purchase. He then sent Su Xieyi back to her room, stating he had private matters to discuss with Xie Minghao. Once alone, Li Zeliang warned Xie Minghao not to be overly concerned with Su Xieyi.
Xie Minghao countered that they were like family and that he understood Su Xieyi best, having been by her side for the past two years. Li Zeliang sternly warned him not to interfere with Su Xieyi's work. Later that evening, Li Zeliang confronted Su Xieyi in their room about her public interaction with Xie Minghao. He criticized her for casually dining with another man, given her public role as his girlfriend.
Su Xieyi defended her actions as reasonable and her need for personal space. Angered, Li Zeliang questioned if she wanted the whole world to know their relationship was just an act. At that moment, the curtains opened to reveal Oscar and Shi Chuchu, who had entered from the balcony to retrieve the fallen phone. They had overheard the argument and now knew the couple was faking their relationship.
After they left, Su Xieyi lamented that with Oscar knowing their secret, it wouldn't be long before everyone else did too. The next morning, Su Xieyi prepared breakfast, but Li Zeliang was still upset. He coldly insisted she call him "Mr. Li" when no one else was around and suggested they work separately for better efficiency. Shortly after, Roman and Nina arrived at the hotel and were personally greeted by Li Zeliang and Huo Jian.
Elsewhere, Chen Hengsheng expressed his worries about Li Zeliang to Huo Jian, who revealed he had a new pawn: Su Xieyi, who he had discovered was Shen Zhihong's daughter. Huo Jian proposed a plan to ruin Li Zeliang: if Nina, who admired Su Xieyi's cocktails, were to be poisoned by a drink Su Xieyi prepared, it would create a massive scandal.
The blame would fall on Su Xieyi due to her family history with Ouman Group, derailing the auction and securing Chen Hengsheng's position. Huo Jian specified the poison would be in green limes, a key ingredient in Nina's favorite cocktails, and instructed Chen Hengsheng to personally and discreetly handle the preparations. At the auction reception, Li Zeliang reinforced their facade by introducing Su Xieyi as his girlfriend to guests.
He casually remarked on the effectiveness of a toothache medicine he found in their living room, but Su Xieyi feigned ignorance about who bought it. As part of their deception, Chen Hengsheng instructed hotel staff that a specific batch of green limes had "taste issues" and were only for display. While Su Xieyi was preparing a cocktail for Nina, a mix-up occurred when Roman impulsively took a sip of the drink meant for his wife.
At the same time, Oscar approached the bar, took one of the green limes to clean his guitar pick, and left with it. Su Xieyi then prepared a fresh drink for Nina, this time using a yellow lemon at Nina's request for a milder taste. Shortly after, Oscar began his rock performance on stage. However, mid-song, he collapsed with severe abdominal pain, and an ambulance was immediately called. Rumors quickly spread that Oscar's drink might have been poisoned.
Su Xieyi was distraught, realizing the poison was likely intended for Nina. Li Zeliang reassured her that the police had been called and would investigate. He immediately concluded it was a deliberate act designed to target both of them, realizing that if Nina had been the victim, the entire auction would have devolved into a scandal. While Li Zeliang went to appease a furious Roman, he urged Su Xieyi to calmly recall any overlooked details, pledging his unwavering support.
