Zhang Jianguo received a message claiming to have a video of him committing the crime, demanding fifty thousand. Desperate for money, he agreed to meet, ready to shoot at any moment. Wei Xiaochen, using Zhang Jianguo's continuous requests for the informant to change seats, pinpointed Zhang Jianguo's location. At a crucial moment, she prevented Zhang Jianguo from shooting the informant, but as she gained control, a stack of papers fell in front of her. Seizing the opportunity, someone shot and killed Zhang Jianguo, once again leaving the case in a stalemate.
To uncover the truth behind Liang Xi's murder, Wei Xiaochen sacrificed everything and persuaded her superior to arrange for her to assume Liang Xi's identity in Hong Kong.
