Liang Xi (played by Zhou Xiuna) and Wei Xiaochen (played by Zhou Xiuna) are a pair of identical twin sisters. Due to their parents' troubled relationship leading to divorce, the sisters were separated. As they grew up, Liang Xi became an insurance claims manager. After moving to Singapore, she checked into a hotel, only to be unexpectedly kidnapped there.
On the other hand, Wei Xiaochen, who had accompanied her mother to Singapore from a young age and had no contact with Liang Xi, discovered Liang Xi's body in a human trafficking and prostitution den she raided during her mission. Seeing Liang Xi's face identical to her own, Wei Xiaochen couldn't help but shed tears. Despite opposition from her superiors, she insisted on investigating the case that had escalated from prostitution to organ trafficking.
Brandon, a forensic expert, confirmed through DNA analysis that Liang Xi was indeed Wei Xiaochen's sister. He vouched for Wei Xiaochen, assuring that he would not reveal their relationship. Reluctantly, the superior allowed Wei Xiaochen to continue pursuing the case.
During the interrogation of the arrested head of the prostitution ring, under Wei Xiaochen's threats, he admitted to his involvement in human trafficking for prostitution, but denied any connection to Liang Xi's death. Only when Wei Xiaochen threatened him with a gun did he reveal that a black-market doctor known as "Pork Butcher" had removed Liang Xi's heart. Following this lead, Wei Xiaochen traced "Pork Butcher" and discovered that he was just the surgeon, unaware of where the harvested hearts were sent. The one responsible for directing "Pork Butcher" was a professional hitman known as the "Cleaner."
Wei Xiaochen, with a face identical to Liang Xi's, was mistaken by the hotel manager as Liang Xi. While inspecting the room in disarray, Wei Xiaochen suggested checking the surveillance footage, but unfortunately, the cameras were malfunctioning. However, Wei Xiaochen learned that on the day Liang Xi arrived at the hotel, she received a parcel with "RL" written on it. The hotel also found Liang Xi's lost phone. Wei Xiaochen hoped that Liang Xi had left clues for her and used Liang Xi's fingerprints to unlock the phone.
Ma Jiaming, Wei Xiaochen's boyfriend and a tech department employee, opened Liang Xi's private social media accounts to provide Wei Xiaochen with insights into Liang Xi's past. Seeing a photo of the two sisters, Wei Xiaochen felt even more sorrowful. Investigating further, she found messages from someone named Yuan Shengjie (played by Huang Zongze) to Liang Xi, leading her to investigate Yuan Shengjie.
Upon arriving in Singapore, Yuan Shengjie sought out Zhang Jianguo. After locating Roger's residence with Zhang Jianguo, they discovered the place in disarray, with no sign of Roger. Yuan Shengjie noticed someone was following him and managed to take a photo, but it didn't yield any valuable information. Wei Xiaochen was trailing Yuan Shengjie, capturing him in her photos, and also noticed a person on a motorcycle following him. At the police station, Yuan Shengjie glimpsed Wei Xiaochen and tried to follow her but lost her. Zhang Jianguo informed him that this floor was off-limits without police authorization.
A year ago, while disrupting a money laundering operation, Yuan Shengjie chased after documents thrown out of a window by criminals. He witnessed Liang Xi picking up the documents and, fearing she might be involved, brought her to the police station. After confirming her innocence, Yuan Shengjie apologized. Liang Xi, smitten with Yuan Shengjie, left her contact information, and they quickly became a couple.
Concerned about Liang Xi's disappearance, Yuan Shengjie dialed her number but received no response, leaving him puzzled. Yuan Shengjie and Zhang Jianguo pretended to have found evidence, drawing out the black-clad individuals who had been following them. Wei Xiaochen, driving a car, caught up and forced them to stop, but before she could interrogate them, someone shot and killed the black-clad individuals. Feeling regretful, Wei Xiaochen realized that Liang Xi had sought her help in a moment of danger, but since no one was at home, she missed the distress signal.
Now, Roger called Liang Xi to return a USB drive. Wei Xiaochen, assuming Liang Xi's identity, met with him, witnessing Roger being silenced. She attempted to chase the assassin but couldn't apprehend him. However, the assassin left behind something.
