Wei Xiaochen went missing, and Yuan Shengjie immediately led a team to search the floors. They knocked on several doors but didn't find any suspicious individuals. Yuan Shengjie continued to the next door. Tina believed that Liang Xi not only betrayed them but also killed Simon. This led her to tie up Liang Xi, and the group decided to take revenge by killing her, a proposal that received support. At this point, Yuan Shengjie reached the house where Wei Xiaochen was hiding. Tina quickly took Wei Xiaochen into a back room and hid her while having the homeowner answer the door. Yuan Shengjie suspected that it took too long for the homeowner to answer the door, but they were short-handed and didn't want to make any hasty moves without knowing what was happening inside. Yuan Shengjie then noticed a delivery package in the hallway, and they immediately understood the significance. Axi disguised himself as a delivery person and tricked the homeowner into opening the door to sign for the package. They then swiftly subdued the homeowner and had them call Tina to open the door.

Tina's associate, Ah Zhong, suddenly died, and Yuan Shengjie brought members of the Green World organization to the scene to record their statements. Although Tina, Mabel, and Dennis appeared uneasy, they refused to speak and claimed that nothing had happened. They even insisted that Yuan Shengjie speak to Wei Xiaochen to prove that they had not acted recently. Yuan Shengjie noticed that Mabel was the most timid and used Wei Xiaochen as a breakthrough to get the truth out. This revealed that the Green World members had acted secretly without Wei Xiaochen's knowledge. Their intention was to sabotage the New World project by damaging the equipment and cement, which would delay construction. However, they discovered black money inside cement bags. Tina wanted everyone to leave with the money, but Ah Zhong needed more money, so he took some of it. Greedy for more, he went back the next day, taking Mabel and Dennis with him. However, Ah Zhong died that night.

Yuan Shengjie detained the other individuals in the house, leaving only Tina holding Wei Xiaochen at knifepoint. He reminded Tina that laundering money would only lead to a few years in prison, but committing murder would result in a life sentence. Hearing Yuan Shengjie utter the same words as Wei Xiaochen, Tina became convinced that Wei Xiaochen was Yuan Shengjie's key witness. She used Wei Xiaochen's distraction to kick Yuan Shengjie's gun and then kicked it closer to him. With Wei Xiaochen's help, Yuan Shengjie regained his freedom.

Tina was taken to the police station, and when Yuan Shengjie presented evidence of her money laundering activities, Tina was left speechless. Yuan Shengjie had determined that their production volume couldn't keep up with sales, and their prices were higher than similar products. The only explanation for their cash flow was money laundering. Tina had nothing to say, but she remained adamant that Simon was killed by Liang Xi. As the investigation continued, Yuan Shengjie discovered that the company operating in the Tang Building that Liang Xi frequented was registered under the name of Liang Tianqi. In reality, the Green World organization wasn't under Tina's control but was manipulated by Liang Xi.

Wei Xiaochen deliberately provoked Tina to make her reveal evidence of Simon's murder. Tina mentioned that after Ah Zhong's death, she received an email from Simon. This email informed her that the initial radiation test on the artificial island was actually deemed safe, but someone tampered with the report to make it appear unsafe. Liang Xi then claimed she would deliver the report directly to the headquarters and withheld the testing report provided by Simon. Simon discovered that the radiation sand incident on the artificial island was escalating and intended to clarify the situation but was threatened. He subsequently encountered the tunnel explosion case. Liang Xi went to Singapore to investigate the truth, and Tina once received a file from Liang Xi. When Wei Xiaochen returned from Singapore and decoded the file, it failed to debunk the radiation sand incident on the artificial island. This made Tina suspicious, but when Tu Wennuo effectively debunked the incident, she fully believed Simon's emails and decided to kill Liang Xi.

Feifei had been trying to uncover the truth about Liang Xi's murder. However, her investigation led her to discover that Liang Xi had initially worked in an underground nightclub and then laundered money, which deeply saddened her. She couldn't bear to continue her search. Wei Xiaochen was also saddened by Liang Xi's transformation, which she hadn't expected. Yuan Shengjie believed that Tina was using environmental protection as a guise for unethical activities and offered her a bottle of the fiber drink she produced. Axi had never seen Yuan Shengjie so agitated before and felt concerned. Yuan Shengjie went out to drink alone and, while gazing at the familiar traffic lights, recalled a scene where Liang Xi had enthusiastically helped an elderly woman with a paper tray. He couldn't help but feel sorrow, but this time, Wei Xiaochen was there, taking Liang Xi's place. Yuan Shengjie hugged Wei Xiaochen and confirmed that she was Liang Xi.

Tu Wennuo had opened a jade store for his sister, Tu Wenya. He wanted to test Wei Xiaochen and deliberately leaked information about the unloading location to her. Upon receiving a message from Commissioner Yang, Yuan Shengjie went with his team to inspect the cargo at the pier but found nothing unusual. Tu Wennuo didn't say anything this time and arranged a different unloading point, sending Wei Xiaochen to check it. There were no police at that location, indicating that Wei Xiaochen wasn't an informant. Tu Wennuo decided to take Wei Xiaochen with him to launder money and get rich together. He showed her a large amount of cash in the boxes. Wei Xiaochen wanted to get rid of Yang Junxiong so she and Tu Wennuo could do business exclusively, and Tu Wennuo was pleased with her determination.
