However, Grey Dog informed him that the meeting location had changed. He realized that something had gone awry but didn't have a chance to report to his superiors. He witnessed the showdown between five armed robbers and Wei Xiaochen. Yuan Shengjie met with Inspector Tang from Singapore through a video call at Commissioner Yang's office. Inspector Tang was reluctant to reveal Ma Jiaming's undercover identity, fearing that it would make Ma Jiaming even more vulnerable if more people knew. Yuan Shengjie understood the concern but knew that it would complicate their cooperation. Using the excuse of a lead related to a professor, Yuan Shengjie arranged to meet Wei Xiaochen at a coffee shop. Wei Xiaochen was excited to meet him there but was surprised to see the nightclub manager present, realizing that Yuan Shengjie had discovered her work at the nightclub. Wei Xiaochen explained that she took the job to pay for her father's medical treatment. Although Yuan Shengjie understood, he was still deeply affected.
Feifei caused a scene in a model shop but managed to leave after buying two items. He memorized the two order numbers and, seeing a car outside, deduced a license plate number matching one of the order numbers. He immediately shared this information with Wei Xiaochen and provided another license plate number. Yuan Shengjie suspected that Yang Junxiong might be involved in the recent two murders and ordered an investigation. However, this action would displease his superiors. When he received a text message from Wei Xiaochen, he went alone to inspect a warehouse where goods were being unloaded midway. His every move was closely monitored by someone.
This time, Tu Wennuo's shipment was uneventful. However, the incident involving Yang Junxiong left him somewhat concerned. He discussed the motives behind the robbery with Wei Xiaochen and Wei Tingzhao. Wei Xiaochen believed it was Yang Junxiong's doing, as both sides were attacked, and only Yang Junxiong's assistant, Tracy, was unharmed. Wei Tingzhao disagreed with this theory. Wei Xiaochen then sarcastically insinuated that Wei Tingzhao was taking Yang Junxiong's side, which made him very angry. He believed that his long-time association with Tu Wennuo made him less suspicious than the recently joined Wei Xiaochen.
Tu Wennuo received a message from Sister Mag, instructing him to come aboard immediately. He asked Wei Xiaochen and Wei Tingzhao not to argue further and left the room. Wei Xiaochen called Feifei but couldn't get him on the phone. So, she initiated a video call and found Feifei had prepared an analysis on Liang Xi and Yuan Shengjie. She understood that Feifei cared more than he let on. According to Feifei's analysis, Liang Xi might have met Yang Junxiong at the nightclub, indicating a potential lead from the nightlife scene. Wei Xiaochen asked Feifei to locate Tu Wennuo's phone, but the signal disappeared suddenly. The same happened with Yang Junxiong's phone, leading Wei Xiaochen to a suspicion.
On the ship, Sister Mag praised Tu Wennuo for successfully handling the situation but showed dissatisfaction when Yang Junxiong arrived. Yang Junxiong knew he hadn't handled the situation well and offered compensation. However, Sister Mag was more concerned about security than the money. Frustrated, Yang Junxiong took out his anger on Tracy, who insisted she knew nothing about the incident. Yang Junxiong had her tortured but still couldn't extract any information from her, so he ordered her to be killed.
Yuan Shengjie learned that the woman who fought the five robbers was likely Wei Xiaochen. He reviewed surveillance footage, which showed a woman resembling Wei Xiaochen. He then contacted Wei Xiaochen for confirmation. Wei Xiaochen knew that Ma Jiaming was an undercover agent, but Ma Jiaming had previously held a civilian position. She was worried for his safety and asked Yuan Shengjie to help convince Inspector Tang in Singapore to pull Ma Jiaming out of the mission. Ma Jiaming was stubborn and didn't want to quit. He tried to persuade Wei Xiaochen not to get involved, but she had her own convictions and refused to back down. Both were resolute, and neither could persuade the other. Ma Jiaming knew this mission might not end well for him and asked Yuan Shengjie to take care of Wei Xiaochen. She was touched and puzzled by Ma Jiaming's determination. She asked Yuan Shengjie to inform her immediately if he received any leads, and he agreed.
After killing Tracy, Yang Junxiong contacted Sister Mag and asked Ma Jiaming and the masked Wei Xiaochen to meet him. He suspected Ma Jiaming was the traitor and had ordered Grey Dog to eliminate him. Ma Jiaming and Grey Dog received the message, but Grey Dog, fearing his past mistakes, hesitated to go. Ma Jiaming tried to convince him not to be afraid, emphasizing that this was an opportunity provided by their boss. The commission was even higher this time, and a successful job would allow him to send his daughter abroad for education. Ma Jiaming secretly made a call that was observed by Yang Junxiong's people. Yang Junxiong, convinced that Ma Jiaming was the traitor, killed Grey Dog in front of him. He then tortured and killed Ma Jiaming, with his men hiding nearby, watching Wei Xiaochen's arrival. Yang Junxiong didn't want to kill Wei Xiaochen just yet; he intended to use her against Tu Wennuo.
Wei Xiaochen, knowing that Ma Jiaming wanted to conclude the money laundering case and start anew with her in Singapore, was filled with hatred toward Yang Junxiong. She seized an opportunity to assassinate him but was stopped by Yuan Shengjie at the last moment. When she realized she couldn't act, she instructed Tu Wennuo to hire an assassin. Yuan Shengjie, concerned about Yang Junxiong's safety, followed him closely, preventing the assassin from getting an opportunity. Wei Xiaochen purposely stalled for time, attempting to hinder Yuan Shengjie. However, the assassin was unsuccessful and was eventually killed by Carter.
