Shangque and other Moon Tribe members desperately channel their primordial spirit into Dongfang Qingcang, hoping to delay the inevitable, despite the danger. They worry that he might not want to wake up. Inside the dream, Dongfang Qingcang and Xiao Lanhua live a carefree life, undisturbed by the outside world.
He wonders why lovers in the Destiny Books always have tragic endings, and Dream-Orchid is relieved that their fate is different. She makes him promise they will never be separated. Outside the dream, Changheng arrives, determined to revive Orchid, no matter the cost. He lights an incense stick, declaring that if Dongfang Qingcang does not awaken before it burns out, all hope is lost.
Inside the dream, Changheng confronts Dongfang Qingcang in the Arbiter Hall, accusing him of hiding from reality. Dongfang Qingcang denies the dream is fake and that Orchid is dead, clinging to his belief in the Tianji Mirror’s prophecy. Dream-Orchid appears, begging Dongfang Qingcang not to leave her. Torn, Dongfang Qingcang forcibly expels Changheng from the dream. Shangque and the others continue to try to wake him. Back in the dream, the Arbiter Hall crumbles.
Dongfang Qingcang reveals he knew from the beginning that the Orchid in his dream was not real. He tells the dream-Orchid that he must leave, vowing to revive the real Orchid before he lets go and begins to awaken. In a bamboo forest, the Chidi woman practices swordplay with Rong Hao and notices a disturbing change in his sword intent, which now carries a strong killing aura.
Rong Hao admits his hatred for the Moon Tribe and his desire to destroy the Cangyan Sea. The Chidi woman warns against letting hatred blind him. Later, she senses something is amiss and shatters the illusion Rong Hao created to keep her contained, revealing she has been reliving painful memories for 30,000 years. She recalls her past as a warrior, the death of the Goddess of Xishan, and Rong Hao's crimes.
She confronts Rong Hao, blaming him for deceiving her and committing sins. After calming down, Shangque realizes that he was afflicted with butterfly poison and that Jieli was the one who healed him. He confronts Jieli, realizing that she had not taken Fairy Orchid, and that he had been deceived. He struggles with Jieli's actions as a spy from Haishi versus her having saved him.
Changheng and Dongfang Qingcang arrive at the Destruction of Heaven, where karma is silent, to seek Si Ming's help. Changheng reveals that Si Ming was imprisoned there for releasing Changyuan and marrying him. Dongfang Qingcang realizes that Orchid always knew about Si Ming's fate and that Si Ming created this space, including the fireflies he gave to Orchid. They meet Si Ming and Changyuan. Changyuan strikes Dongfang Qingcang for past grievances, which Dongfang Qingcang accepts.
Si Ming acknowledges Dongfang Qingcang's resolve and reveals that Orchid saved him when they first met in the Haotian Tower, stabilizing his primordial spirit. She further explains that a wisp of Orchid's primordial spirit remains within Dongfang Qingcang's own spirit and must be separated and nurtured in the Holy Land of Xilan to revive her. Si Ming confirms that the vision in the Tianji Mirror is a prophecy that cannot be altered and gives Dongfang Qingcang Orchid's Destiny Book.
