The unconscious Dongfang Qingcang trapped himself within a dream. This dream was created using all of his soul force, and to maintain it, he burned his heart fire, exhausting his soul. If this continued, Dongfang Qingcang would completely perish, body and soul. In the dream, Dongfang Qingcang and Orchid lived a carefree life, with no intrusions or brutal wars. But he didn’t understand why the lovers recorded in the Destiny Books always ended in tragedy. Orchid felt emotional.

She and Dongfang Qingcang had made a vow never to be separated for all eternity. Outside the dream, Shang Que and the others were channeling soul energy into Dongfang Qingcang. Though they knew external power could not help and might even backfire, they still tried—clinging to even a sliver of hope. In a critical moment, Lord Changheng appeared. He lit an incense stick and decided to enter Dongfang Qingcang’s dream to wake him up.

Inside the dream, Dongfang Qingcang saw the Heavenly Mirror’s vision of Lord Changheng marrying the Goddess of Xishan and was instantly filled with rage. Unexpectedly, Lord Changheng appeared and told him that it was all a dream. Orchid seemed to hear their conversation and rushed out to stop them. Dongfang Qingcang was caught in a dilemma, unable to make a decision. As the incense was about to burn out, Dongfang Qingcang suddenly pushed Lord Changheng out of the dream.

The others still refused to give up and continued pouring soul energy into him, desperately trying to wake him. At that moment, the Arbiter Hall in the dream burned to ashes and floated away. In fact, Dongfang Qingcang had always known from the beginning that the Orchid in front of him wasn’t real, and everything he experienced was just a dream. Fallen leaves swirled around the loving couple. Dongfang Qingcang held Orchid’s face gently and bid her a sorrowful farewell.

Orchid, crying, clutched Dongfang Qingcang’s hand tightly, afraid that if she let go, he would vanish. They had clearly vowed to stay together for eternity. How could Orchid possibly let Dongfang Qingcang leave her? To Dongfang Qingcang, if Orchid were to live on only to marry someone else, he would never accept it. But even more, he wanted Orchid to live. Orchid held him tightly, begging him not to leave.

But Dongfang Qingcang was unwilling to remain trapped in a dream. He had to leave. No matter what, he would resurrect Orchid. In the bamboo forest, the Chidi Woman and Rong Hao were practicing swordplay. But she faintly felt that Rong Hao’s sword style had changed. In the past, his sword carried a mortal heart—but now, it had gained a killing intent.

She told Rong Hao that as a warrior, no matter what he had lost, he must never let hatred blind him, or war would never end. Though the past few days seemed peaceful, the Chidi Woman remained uneasy, feeling something was off. One day, she finally couldn’t hold back and split open the barrier—only to realize that she had been missing for thirty thousand years. But whenever she tried to recall those years, her head spun.

At last, she remembered everything and took Rong Hao to surrender before Lord Yunzhong. After calming down, Shang Que finally understood that Jie Li hadn’t taken Orchid away, and that he himself had been poisoned by Die Yi. Elsewhere, Jie Li, with the last of her strength, dug a grave for herself. Unexpectedly, Die Yi appeared and fed her the antidote. Die Yi brought Jie Li before Li Yuan and asked him to rescue Rong Hao.

A thousand years ago, the Arbiter secretly released the sin dragon Zhang Yuan, fell in love with him, and married him—violating the heavenly laws. Lord Yunzhong imprisoned them in the Void of Ten Thousand Heavens, where they built an Arbiter Hall. The Void of Ten Thousand Heavens lies beyond the three realms, a place where destiny ceases. Life can enter or exit, only the stars remain eternal. Lord Changheng didn’t tell Orchid to avoid hurting her.

But Dongfang Qingcang knew—Orchid had always known. After meeting the Arbiter and Zhang Yuan, Dongfang Qingcang finally understood that when they first met at the Haotian Tower, Orchid had already begun saving him. The Arbiter told him that Orchid’s soul still had a wisp left in his body. To resurrect her, that wisp must be separated and placed in the Sacred Realm of Xishan to be nurtured until it could take form again.

Lord Changheng was confused—was the Heavenly Mirror truly prophetic? The Arbiter told them that everything shown in the mirror was indeed prophecy. Anyone able to see it was destined to fulfill that fate. The future seen in the Heavenly Mirror could not be changed. Before leaving, the Arbiter handed Orchid’s Destiny Book to Dongfang Qingcang. Perhaps it was because, like herself, he could find her among a hundred thousand water orchids.
