Qiong Qi attacked and breached the Southern Heavenly Gate, engaging Xu Feng in a fierce battle. Unexpectedly, the ferocious beast turned its aggression towards Jin Mi. Xu Feng swiftly moved to shield her, taking a powerful blow himself. Fortunately, the Heavenly Emperor arrived at that critical moment, severely injuring Qiong Qi, who promptly fled. Run Yu had earlier dispatched an immortal to report the incident to their father and seek reinforcements, while also ensuring Jin Mi's safety.

After the confrontation, the Heavenly Emperor checked on Xu Feng and Jin Mi, and Xu Feng apologized for his failure to contain Qiong Qi. The Heavenly Emperor, however, absolved him, stating that Qiong Qi was an ancient and formidable beast beyond the capabilities of any one individual, and directed everyone to return to the Empyrean Cloud Palace to strategize. In the palace, the Heavenly Emperor and other immortals discussed Qiong Qi's return.

An immortal recalled that Qiong Qi had wreaked havoc across the six realms nine hundred years ago, causing chaos in both the Demon and Floral Realms, and had only been sealed after great effort by powerful immortals, including Xuan Ling Lord Doumu. His reappearance was perplexing and alarming. Another immortal emphasized the urgency of recapturing and re-sealing Qiong Qi to prevent further widespread destruction.

Xu Feng agreed, noting that the King of Yan City's demon army, though seemingly retreated from the Wangchuan River, remained fully assembled, suggesting the Demon Realm's involvement in Qiong Qi's resurgence. He requested permission to enter the Demon Realm to pursue Qiong Qi and ascertain the Demon Realm's true intentions. Run Yu supported his brother, arguing that the source of this new threat originated in the Demon Realm and urged their father to make a swift decision.

Valuing the peace of the six realms, the Heavenly Emperor granted Xu Feng's request, bestowing upon him the Red Clouds Sword, a powerful artifact capable of killing immortals and subduing demons. Xu Feng was tasked with eradicating evil, capturing Qiong Qi, and uncovering the truth behind his return. Later, in Qiwu Palace, Jin Mi worried about Xu Feng's injuries.

Mr. Hu arrived, lamenting over a cooked Chinese flowering cabbage he identified as "Veggie," a friend from the Water Mirror, and blaming the "soulless" Heaven Immortals for its demise. Jin Mi found his detailed identification humorous. Xu Feng returned, dismissing his attendants' concerns about his well-being. He recognized Mr. Hu as the Carrot Fairy he had once playfully troubled as a child, offering an apology while also rebuking him for disrespecting the Heavenly Emperor and Empress.

Mr. Hu revealed his intention to take Jin Mi back to the Floral Realm, explaining that she was the fairy the Floral Realm had been desperately searching for, causing a conflict with the bird tribe. Learning of Jin Mi's imminent departure, Xu Feng felt a sense of loss but rationalized it by suggesting her continued stay in the Heaven Realm without his guidance would be unproductive. Mr. Hu was surprised by Xu Feng's apparent willingness to let her go.

Jin Mi initially expressed eagerness to leave immediately but then remembered she wanted to take some scriptures from Xu Feng's study to continue her spiritual cultivation, hoping to consult Chief Peony back in the Floral Realm. Pleased by her dedication, Xu Feng permitted her to take any books she desired, delaying their departure until the following day. Mr. Hu, delighted, encouraged Jin Mi to gather as many books as possible, offering to carry them himself.

Later, in Xu Feng's study, Jin Mi expressed her gratitude to Xu Feng for saving her life. Just then, Xu Feng coughed up blood, revealing that his injury from Qiong Qi was more severe than he had admitted, requiring twelve cycles of breath regulation for full recovery. Concerned, Jin Mi suspected he was using magic to appear fine and insisted on examining his back. She pulled open his robe, revealing numerous scars from past battles.

Xu Feng, noting her innocence and lack of gender distinction, gently instructed her not to pull at other people's clothes in the future. Remembering the powerful healing properties of Ganoderma essence from the Floral Realm, Jin Mi offered to give him a stalk as a thank you, even though Xu Feng considered it a rare and sacred item that she would need to obtain from Chief Peony.

Jin Mi, recalling Mr. Hu's earlier teasing about her intelligence, confidently declared that she could easily conjure the Ganoderma essence and challenged Xu Feng to decide on her reward. Skeptical, Xu Feng wagered two hundred years of magic power if she succeeded, but Jin Mi demanded three hundred, which he reluctantly accepted. To his astonishment, Jin Mi effortlessly manifested the Ganoderma essence.

This feat deepened Xu Feng's suspicions about her true identity, and he pressed her on her connection to the late Floral Immortal, whose spiritual power was legendary. Fearing he would renege on his promise of magic power, Jin Mi bit off a piece of the Ganoderma essence and, remembering Moon Immortal's advice about capturing a man's heart, fed it to Xu Feng with a kiss.

Unaffected by the kiss due to the Yun Elixir she had ingested, Jin Mi merely felt a strange sensation, while Xu Feng was deeply unsettled. She then handed him the remaining essence. Later, Jin Mi confided in her friend, Rou Rou, that she felt a duty to accompany Xu Feng to the Demon Realm, not only to ensure his recovery but also to avenge Rou Rou by confronting Qiong Qi.

Before Xu Feng's departure, Sui He visited Qiwu Palace to congratulate him on his victory over Qiong Qi and the Heavenly Emperor's gift of the Red Clouds Sword. She then inquired about the rumors that Jin Mi was the long-lost fairy of the Floral Realm, expressing her disappointment that Jin Mi had concealed her true identity. Xu Feng defended Jin Mi, taking responsibility for bringing her to the Heaven Realm and promising to resolve any misunderstandings with Chief Peony.

He also advised Sui He not to let Jin Mi's "clutter-brained" nature bother her. Unbeknownst to Sui He, Jin Mi had transformed into her true form and was secretly nestled in Xu Feng's sleeve, having decided to accompany him. When Xu Feng's attendants offered him a different robe, he refused, despite Jin Mi's muffled yelp of pain from inside his sleeve as she shifted. Xu Feng then boarded a boat on the Wangchuan River.

The boatman, with a knowing glance, alerted Xu Feng to "the fairy in the sleeve pocket." Exposed, Jin Mi emerged from the sleeve, feigning confusion and claiming she must have accidentally slept there. Xu Feng cautioned her to stay seated firmly on the boat. Jin Mi playfully teased him about concealing her own "grape vines" to avoid stealing his title as the most handsome man in the six realms.

The boatman shared a tale of a stunning woman from ten thousand years ago who sought to drink from the Wangchuan River to forget, only to be intervened by a man; after a struggle, both disappeared. Jin Mi found the story's abrupt ending unsatisfying. Upon reaching the other side, Xu Feng used an illusion to alter their appearances for their journey into the Demon Realm.

Jin Mi initially protested her new pigtail hairstyle, finding it old-fashioned, but Xu Feng dismissed her complaints, saying he liked it. He then officially appointed her as his personal maid in the Demon Realm, promising her protection if she remained by his side. Upon arriving at their residence in the Demon Realm, Xu Feng instructed Jin Mi to find food and wine for his strategy discussion with Run Yu.

While exploring the streets, Jin Mi stopped at a stall, admiring a pair of rabbit ear accessories. When the vendor requested magical power for payment, Run Yu suddenly appeared and offered to pay. However, Xu Feng, observing from a distance with a stern expression, intervened and paid a larger sum. During their interaction, Jin Mi was shocked to learn that the "Fish Fairy" was actually Xu Feng's elder brother, the Night Immortal, a true dragon.

Run Yu explained he was worried about Xu Feng facing the ferocious Qiong Qi alone and had come to assist, assuring his brother he would not be a burden. The next morning, Jin Mi encountered Run Yu's Beast of Dreams and tried to feed it grass. Run Yu explained that his beast only consumed dreams, not grass.

As he elaborated on the nature of dreams—blue for "seen dreams" based on past events and yellow for "thought dreams" born of fantasy—the beast regurgitated a dream bubble. Jin Mi simplified his explanation, which Run Yu affirmed before heading to breakfast. Left alone with the beast, Jin Mi prompted it to produce another dream. It did, releasing a yellow dream bubble depicting Xu Feng kissing a fairy who looked identical to Jin Mi.

Amused by what she took for an "erotic dream," Jin Mi found Xu Feng's unexpected fantasy entertaining. However, the dream bubble was abruptly shattered by a whip wielded by Liu Ying, the Demon Realm general, who demanded to know who Jin Mi was and why she was spying on a Supreme Immortal's dream. Identifying herself as Xu Feng's maidservant, Jin Mi quickly directed Liu Ying to Xu Feng, eager to witness the impending confrontation.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng and Run Yu enjoyed a spicy Demon Realm breakfast. Xu Feng commented on the pleasant change from the bland Heaven Realm cuisine, a remark Run Yu found amusing given his brother's typically refined palate.
