Gu Yanzhen found a rope in the room. He tied one end to the shelf and the other to himself, picked up Xie Xiang, escaped through the window, and met up with Qu Manting. The three of them left in a hurry. Old Six and his two brothers reported to Huo Xiaoyu about the failure of tonight's operation.
They also mentioned that they suddenly saw Xie Xiang, Qu Manting, and Gu Yanzhen leaving with panicked expressions, which she found very suspicious. Shen Junshan shook off his pursuers and made his way back to the hotel. He quickly gathered Xie Xiang and the others to move, worried about being chased there. Just as Gu Yanzhen and his group of five reached the hotel entrance, assassins from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce rushed in and opened fire on them. Gu Yanzhen covered everyone's retreat, and he engaged in a fierce battle with the Japanese.
Shen Junshan led Xie Xiang and others intending to leave through the back door, but they were also surrounded and intercepted by Japanese assassins. They fought as they retreated. Oda Hiroshi arrived just in time by car, rescued Shen Junshan and the others, and took them to a small hotel to temporarily hide. Oda Hiroshi drove Shen Junshan home. Shen Junshan grew suspicious of her arrival and asked to meet her family.

Shen Junshan suddenly felt something was wrong, worried that Xie Xiang and the others were in danger, and forced Oda Hiroshi to stop the car immediately.
Shen Junshan jogged all the way back to the hotel and found out that Xie Xiang was staying in Room 206. He hurried upstairs to look for her, but no one responded. Shen Junshan quickly ran out to search and met Xie Xiang head-on, only to learn that Huo Xiaoyu had picked up Xie Xiang, Qu Manting, and Huang Song. Xie Xiang took him to meet up with everyone.
Just as Fujiwara was about to go and complain to Lieutenant General Fukushima, Oda Hiroshi returned to the Chamber of Commerce with her people. Fujiwara accused her of forgetting her mission to return to China and, even worse, forgetting her beliefs. In a fit of rage, Oda Hiroshi shot and killed Fujiwara. The Prince, knowing that Oda Hiroshi had kidnapped the Grand Princess Consort, personally came to her door to demand her release.
However, Oda Hiroshi was unrelenting and spoke harshly to him. The Prince pleaded bitterly. Oda Hiroshi proposed that if he shot the bullseye, she would let him take the Grand Princess Consort away. The Prince bent his bow, nocked an arrow, and shot. It hit the bullseye squarely, but unexpectedly, the Grand Princess Consort was behind it. The Grand Princess Consort was shot through the heart and died on the spot.
Prince Chengrui arrived shortly after, and the Prince was heartbroken and grief-stricken. Xie Xiang, Gu Yanzhen, Huang Song, and Shen Junshan returned to the military academy to report back to Guo Shuting and handed over the Golden Seal and the gold and silver treasures together. Huang Song took a liking to one of the butterfly brooches. Guo Shuting promised to give it to him as a memento. Shen Junshan was the last to leave.
He hoped that Guo Shuting would hand over these national treasures to the country. Guo Shuting readily agreed. Huang Song couldn't wait to give that brooch to Xie Xiang's sister. Gu Yanzhen wanted to go back to the dormitory to sleep and even provocatively suggested sleeping with Xie Xiang. Xie Xiang was so angry she chased after him to hit him. Huang Song came to Xinhua Girls' Middle School to find Xie Xiang's sister.
Tan Xiaojun lied, saying she wasn't there. Huang Song decided to come back another time. Shen Junshan realized he had fallen in love with Xie Xiang. He asked Ji Jin if there was something wrong with him. Qu Manting came to the military academy, greeted Xie Xiang, Huang Song, Gu Yanzhen, and Shen Junshan, and invited them to the Shannan Tavern for a celebratory dinner.
Gu Yanzhen was curious if Huo Xiaoyu was finding lodging for Xie Xiang and the others for Zhao Min. Huo Xiaoyu handled it skillfully. Gu Yanzhen reminded Xie Xiang and Huang Song to be careful to avoid being pursued and killed. Gu Yanzhen and Qu Manting were exchanging drinks. Shen Junshan sat by himself drinking plain water. Huang Song and Xie Xiang didn't drink alcohol, only ate fruit. Huang Song inadvertently mentioned that Gu Yanzhen had borrowed money from him.
Qu Manting promised to help him with all her strength. Xie Xiang saw that Shen Junshan's water cup was empty and offered to pour him a refill. Shen Junshan politely declined.
