Zang Hai came to the Pillow Tower to seek help from Xiang Antu. Xiang Antu was taking a bath at the time. Zang Hai felt very awkward and turned to leave, but Xiang Antu didn’t mind and asked him to stay and explain his purpose. Zang Hai begged Xiang Antu to find someone to kill Lu Jin. Xiang Antu told him to seek help from Zhuang Luyin, but Zang Hai knew that Zhuang Luyin wouldn’t offend Cao Jingxian for him.

Xiang Antu had long heard of Lu Jin’s atrocities in killing innocents and agreed to kill him to rid the people of a menace. In return, she asked Zang Hai to wash her hair. Zang Hai had no choice but to comply despite his discomfort. Through the mirror, Xiang Antu observed Zang Hai’s expression and found his hair-washing technique quite skilled. Zang Hai explained he had helped his mother wash her hair before.

Xiang Antu agreed to help him get rid of his mortal enemy, but once it was done, Zang Hai had to repay her. Zang Hai readily agreed and asked Xiang Antu to find Lu Jin’s letters. He planned to imitate Lu Jin’s handwriting to write a superstitious message to Cao Jingxian. Lu Yan had people monitoring Zang Hai but didn’t find anything suspicious. Lu Jin had not returned for a long time, which made Cao Jingxian anxious.

He ordered Lu Yan to send someone to kill Zang Hai. Lu Jin, enduring rough conditions and traveling day and night, quickly arrived in the capital. Fearing he was being followed, he secretly went to a factory guard’s home to hide temporarily and sent the guard to inform Cao Jingxian. Suddenly, someone tried to ambush Lu Jin. With a few punches and kicks, he killed them all, convinced they were sent by Zang Hai.

At that moment, a group of people burst in and surrounded him. Relying on his exceptional martial arts skills, Lu Jin killed them all but was severely injured. It started to rain heavily. Lu Jin braved the rain and quietly made his way to the Cao residence. On the way, he was ambushed by Xiang Antu. She placed Lu Jin’s corpse in Zang Hai’s carriage, deliberately letting his head hang out of the window.

The guards at the Cao residence saw Lu Jin in Zang Hai’s carriage from afar and were utterly confused, so they secretly followed behind. Zang Hai parked the carriage at the back gate of the Marquis’s residence. He had Xiang Antu impersonate Lu Jin. The two of them returned home under an umbrella. The factory guards saw everything clearly.

One of them went back to report to Cao Jingxian, while the other stayed behind to keep watch on the Marquis’s residence. Knowing that factory guards were lying in ambush at the Marquis’s residence, Zang Hai sent Gao Ming to keep watch. He disguised himself as Zhuang Luyin, while Xiang Antu pretended to be Lu Jin. They deliberately sat by the study window, and Xiang Antu used the opportunity to read Zang Hai’s palm.

The factory guards mistakenly believed they were having a secret conversation. Xiang Antu suspected Zang Hai was using a false identity and that he killed Lu Jin to silence him. In a fit of anger, she threatened to expose Zang Hai. Zang Hai promised that once he completed what he wanted to do, he would reveal his identity to her immediately.

Xiang Antu was worried that Zhuang Luyin might return suddenly, but Zang Hai had already arranged for Zhuang Zhixing to stall him. Zhuang Zhixing invited Zhuang Luyin for a celebratory meal. The father and son had a pleasant conversation. Zhuang Zhixing wanted to drink the night away, and Zhuang Luyin gladly agreed. When Xiang Antu learned the truth of the matter, she was furious and didn’t want to be a pawn for Zang Hai anymore.

But Zang Hai had long regarded her as a friend. Late at night, Jiang Xiang came to fetch Zhuang Luyin for rest. She deliberately wore the red dress she had worn when welcoming Zhuang Luyin back victorious from the Battle of Dongxia. Zhuang Luyin had promised to chat all night with Zhuang Zhixing. Jiang Xiang sat down too and asked Zhuang Luyin to recount the heroic tale of his legendary 800-li night march to fame.

Zhuang Zhixing considerately let them talk alone and waited outside. Xiang Antu and Zang Hai sat by the window until dawn. The factory guard went back to report to Cao Jingxian, who mistakenly believed Lu Jin had talked with Zhuang Luyin the whole night. He hurried over to find out the truth. Cao Jingxian arrived angrily at the Marquis of Pingjin’s residence. Zhuang Shan quickly sent a letter to Zhuang Luyin.

At that time, Zhuang Luyin and Jiang Xiang were still asleep, and Zhuang Zhixing was standing guard outside the door. He wouldn’t let Zhuang Shan in to deliver the message. Zang Hai came to meet Cao Jingxian. Cao Jingxian couldn’t wait to find out whether Lu Jin had really talked with Zhuang Luyin all night. Zang Hai feigned ignorance. Learning that Zhuang Luyin was still asleep, Cao Jingxian wanted to question him in person.

Zang Hai desperately tried to stop him. Cao Jingxian ordered Zang Hai to be killed. Just then, the factory guard rushed in to report that Lu Jin had drowned in the Guangji River. Cao Jingxian immediately led his men away, taking Zang Hai with him. Zhuang Luyin woke up and saw Zhuang Zhixing still standing guard outside. Learning that Cao Jingxian had just left, he immediately took Zhuang Zhixing and rushed to the scene.

Cao Jingxian arrived at the riverbank and had his adopted daughter Lu Yan dissect Lu Jin’s body. They found a secret letter inside. Zhuang Luyin soon arrived and curiously asked why Lu Jin had drowned in the river. Cao Jingxian planned to return and investigate the truth thoroughly.
