    1. I happened to see this drama during my break, and among all these people, I only recognize the name Zhang Jingyi, but haven’t seen the person herself, haha. In the second episode, it says that the cousin brought his fiancée to her home and showed everyone old photos kept on his phone. This is a bit far-fetched.
You can recall what you were doing in 2007; how could there have been smartphones back then, let alone photos on them? You can be reminded that the social platform Weibo didn’t appear until 2010, around the time when smartphones started appearing, with very small memory. In 2007, digital cameras should have just started its popularity, while film cameras were still widely used.
Also, that the male lead who forces his own homework to be done by the girl every day seems quite unrealistic too. With her courage to puncture a customer’s motorcycle tire with a screwdriver and bite someone she just met, there’s no logic to it.
Although it’s clear that she is being manipulated, there is indeed a sense of helplessness akin to having one’s butt squeezed between bed slats. However, considering that she is still a child in her adolescence, even if she accepts the conditions, she will likely find ways to disrupt them. Therefore, the scriptwriter is not yet sufficiently seasoned.
Previously, one of my distant cousins, a junior employee at a state-owned enterprise, was asked by his manager to ghost write an assignment of the Communist Party School. He got angry and wrote some XXX (sensitive content omitted) directly into the assignment. However, this assignment was just a formality; no one read it. If you have read Zhang Hougu’s Three Steps Up (a famous old-style crosstalk show work telling the story of a stupid but lucky guy who got promoted three times without his real understanding why), then you would know what I mean, haha.
