Ye Baiyi hurriedly returned to Four Seasons Manor, and Zhou Zishu had already been waiting for him halfway. As soon as Ye Baiyi saw Zhou Zishu, he lashed out at him. If Ye Baiyi had known beforehand that Zhou Zishu and Da Wu were close friends, he wouldn't have traveled all the way to the southern border. He felt humiliated by Zhou Zishu.

Zhou Zishu repeatedly tried to explain, and Ye Baiyi then revealed that Wen Kexing was the Chief of Ghost Valley, only to find out that Zhou Zishu already knew Wen Kexing's true identity. Ye Baiyi flew into a rage. Having roamed the martial world for many years, he didn't expect to be deceived by Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu. Zhou Zishu admitted that he had known Wen Kexing was Zhen Yan back when they were in Longyuan Pavilion.

Zhen Yan was first his junior brother before becoming the Chief of Ghost Valley. Out of brotherhood, and seeing that Wen Kexing hadn't lost all humanity, Zhou Zishu chose to protect him. However, Ye Baiyi remained relentless, insisting on eliminating Wen Kexing and all the Devils of Ghost Valley. Zhou Zishu insisted on protecting Wen Kexing and was willing to bear half of his crimes.

In a fury, Ye Baiyi attacked Zhou Zishu, who firmly blocked him and refused to let him step into Four Seasons Manor. Ye Baiyi, out of spite, drew his sword and wounded him. Wen Kexing arrived just in time to intervene. He and Ye Baiyi engaged in battle. Ye Baiyi relentlessly pressed forward with deadly strikes. Wen Kexing was seriously wounded and collapsed. Zhou Zishu desperately shielded Wen Kexing. Ye Baiyi forced Wen Kexing to take his own life.

Wen Kexing said he'd rather die than not fight against all the demons and monsters of the world. Ye Baiyi raised his sword to kill Wen Kexing. Zhou Zishu rebuked Ye Baiyi, saying he had no right to kill Wen Kexing. Wen Kexing’s parents died protecting his disciple Rong Xuan. Zhou Zishu scolded Ye Baiyi harshly, swearing to live and die with Wen Kexing.

Ye Baiyi finally relented and demanded that Wen Kexing stay put at Four Seasons Manor, warning that if he ever stepped out, he would be killed without mercy. Wen Kexing had originally planned to wait for Ye Baiyi halfway, worried that he would reveal his identity to Zhou Zishu. Unexpectedly, Zhou Zishu had already known Wen Kexing was the Chief of Ghost Valley and had purposely sent him out shopping to meet Ye Baiyi.

Wen Kexing was deeply grateful for Zhou Zishu’s thoughtful planning. Cao Weining spent his days by Gu Xiang’s side, and their feelings for each other grew deeper. Mo Weixu delivered a letter to Cao Weining. Gu Xiang found out it was from Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu and quickly snatched the letter, making up all sorts of excuses to cover up. Mo Weixu noticed a dark aura around Gu Xiang and quietly warned Cao Weining to be cautious.

Cao Weining vigorously defended Gu Xiang. Mo Weixu revealed that Gao Chong had entrusted the Glazed Armor to Sect Leader Mo Huaiyang. Cao Weining had already guessed that this was the reason for the sect’s closure. He repeatedly vouched for Gu Xiang, and Mo Weixu said no more. Despite his injuries, Zhou Zishu and Zhang Chengling took meticulous care of Wen Kexing, even pretending that they were wounded by robbers. Zhang Chengling didn’t question them.

Wen Kexing confessed his deeds to Zhou Zishu. He had deliberately fabricated the second half of the ballad, intending to mislead the martial world into thinking the Glazed Armor was in the hands of the Five Lakes Alliance. Unexpectedly, the brothers of the Alliance scattered in the face of danger. Though Wen Kexing didn’t directly kill Zhang Chengling’s father and brother, he was indirectly responsible and didn’t know how to face Zhang Chengling.

Zhou Zishu also didn’t know what to do. What he cared more about was who framed Gao Chong. Wen Kexing suspected a traitor in Ghost Valley and planned to investigate once he recovered. The Scorpion King found out that Gu Xiang and Cao Weining had gone to the Qingfeng Sword Sect and that after the Heroes Conference, Mo Huaiyang had sealed off the mountain with no one allowed in or out.

The Scorpion King felt something was off and wanted to send someone to investigate the Qingfeng Sword Sect. Zhao Jing didn’t want any complications and told him to focus on preparing for the reopening of the Heroes Conference. Zhao Jing knew that Mo Huaiyang and Gao Chong were close and that Gao Chong must have entrusted him with the three pieces of Glazed Armor. Mo Huaiyang had left before the Heroes Conference and sealed the mountain immediately after his return.

The Scorpion King wanted to send drugged men to turn Qingfeng Sword Sect into a dead zone. Zhao Jing was furious. He had already ordered the Scorpion King to eliminate all the drugged men but hadn’t expected his continued obsession. Zhao Jing didn’t want to be accused of colluding with Scorpion, which would destroy his chance to become the leader of the martial world.

He warned the Scorpion King not to act on his own and ruin everything he had built. Zhao Jing forcibly drove the Scorpion King away. The Scorpion King finally saw Zhao Jing’s true colors and gave up completely. Cao Weining wanted to see the letter from Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu, but Gu Xiang made excuses to hide it. She was also worried that Mo Weixu and Fan Huaikong would misunderstand her. Cao Weining comforted her.

Ping’an reported Da Wu’s itinerary to Zhou Zishu. Da Wu was making a special medicine for him and would be delayed for a few days. Ping’an handed Zhou Zishu a letter from Ye Baiyi — a war challenge stamped with the Seal of the Armament Order, calling upon all martial sects to unite in destroying Ghost Valley. Zhang Chengling was eager, hoping to avenge his father and brother soon.

Zhou Zishu knew Wen Kexing had trouble sleeping and personally prepared a strong sedative for him. Wen Kexing came to help, feeling guilty and unsure how to explain things to Zhang Chengling. Zhou Zishu decided to find the murderer who exterminated the Mirror Lake Sect after they recovered, and then reveal the truth to Zhang Chengling. Wen Kexing had no choice but to go along. Seeing Zhang Chengling practicing diligently day and night stirred mixed emotions in Wen Kexing’s heart.
