Only then would he fully reimburse her. That rainy night, while in the house with a stray cat, Jinxia spotted Lu Yi in the building opposite. He beckoned her over. On the deserted street, Lu Yi approached her with an umbrella.
Jinxia noted that the building Lu Yi had been in was Zhai Lanye's former residence, which she had moved out of shortly after Zhou's arrest, deepening suspicion. Lu Yi shared his umbrella, tilting it to cover her and the cat, letting his own shoulder get soaked. When she looked at him in surprise, Lu Yi stated that the drenched cat was pathetic.
