Lu Zhaoyao secretly followed Liu Suruo. Seeing her calmly handling the affairs of Appraisal Heart Sect, Lu Zhaoyao felt it was unbelievable. Qin Zhiyan asked Li Chenlan for help, wanting him to accompany her to Appraisal Heart Sect to investigate. Li Chenlan looked at Lu Zhaoyao beside him, pretended not to have discovered anything, and agreed.
Qin Zhiyan and Li Chenlan openly went to Appraisal Heart Sect and were pursued by Elder Chi and others outside the gate. Elder Chi saw that Li Chenlan had indeed brought Qin Zhiyan to their doorstep and guessed that the Devil Slayer Formation was not yet fully activated, so he dared not engage in prolonged battle, only ordering his men to delay Li Chenlan and his companions.
In the chaos, Lu Zhaoyao secretly rescued Qin Zhiyan, and the two decided to first go to Appraisal Heart Sect's secret chamber to investigate. Li Chenlan single-handedly fought the Appraisal Heart Sect members. In front of his absolute strength, no one was his match; they were only able to temporarily delay him. Liu Suruo saw Li Chenlan's figure and was full of confidence, believing everything was under control.
Lu Zhaoyao and Qin Zhiyan entered Appraisal Heart Sect's secret chamber, where they discovered Mingxuan's remains. Enemies met with heightened fury; Lu Zhaoyao wanted to destroy Mingxuan's remains but found that he had already achieved the body of a Gold Deity, immortal and indestructible, merely sealed by her. Lu Zhaoyao connected the Qin family murder case with recent events and finally understood why someone wanted to target Qin Zhiyan.
It turned out that there were long-standing rumors that the Qin family's blood was special, possessing the effect of bringing the dead back to life, which was why Liu Suruo had painstakingly tried to capture Qin Zhiyan. Qin Zhiyan learned that her father's death was merely for the purpose of resurrecting Mingxuan, she was furious and blamed Liu Suruo for disregarding human life.
