Jiang Wu had been recuperating indoors since he was injured in the joint attack by Qin Qianxian and Li Chenlan. To facilitate his actions, Jiang Wu used the Puppet Spell to create a clone of himself, allowing it to act outside on his behalf. Lin Ziyu directly found Liu Cangling and informed him about Qin Zhiyan's trip to Jiangzhou City, urging Liu Cangling to quickly take her away from Wanlumen.
Li Chenlan took Lu Zhaoyao to Jiangzhou City to find the West Lord Sima Rong, wanting to find a suitable scabbard for the Liuhe Sword. Lu Zhaoyao was taken to Jiangzhou City by Li Chenlan, only then realizing that her West Lord Sima Rong had been hiding there all along. No wonder she couldn't find him, and she was surprised. Their argument was overheard by Sima Rong, who then confirmed that the other person was indeed Lu Zhaoyao herself. Sima Rong asked Lu Zhaoyao to select materials for making the scabbard.
Although he knew Zhaoyao was currently using Qin Zhiyan's identity, he still asked her to apologize to Lu Zhaoyao, blaming himself for receiving incorrect information during the battle at the Sword Tomb, which caused Lu Zhaoyao's accident. Lu Zhaoyao did not blame Sima Rong. She spoke words of comfort, saying that success and failure were all matters of fate, and told him not to blame himself.

She learned that Qin Zhiyan was simply worried about her, and thus secretly followed her. Lady Changyu deeply loved Mingxuan. She had always harbored resentment over Mingxuan being sealed on their wedding day. To resurrect Mingxuan, she was on the verge of going mad. Qin Qianxian went to the Matrix of Mount Su as agreed, but Liu Wei never appeared. He realized something was wrong.
