Zhang Ziyu sent the video of Liao Gang making a scene with Mai Chenghuan in public to Yao Zhiming. Yao Zhiming rushed to the Xing'anli Hotel as soon as he saw it. Mai Chenghuan, exhausted from the past few days, had fallen ill. Yao Zhiming took her to the hospital. Mai Chenghuan was heartbroken. She had been dedicated to her work and always considerate of her employees, only to be repaid like this.

Yao Zhiming comforted her with kind words and did his best to cheer her up until she finally smiled through her tears. Early the next morning, Yao Zhiming left on a business trip, asking Mai Chenghuan to get some good rest. As she gradually recovered, she went for a stroll at the mall and unexpectedly ran into her former colleague Duoduo from the apartment property team. Upon learning that Duoduo had resigned, Mai Chenghuan invited her to work at Xing'anli.

Duoduo was more than willing but worried she wouldn't be up to the task. Mai Chenghuan believed in her. Mai Chengzao came to visit Liu Wanyu early in the morning, bringing her and Mai Chenghuan's favorite pastries. Liu Wanyu was moved to tears and rushed to make shrimp dumplings for him. Mai Chengzao ate heartily. Liu Wanyu admitted that over the years, she had neglected to show enough care for Mai Chengzao and had overlooked his growth and progress.

She sincerely apologized to him. Mai Chengzao had long since let go of the past. The two reconciled as mother and son, restoring their bond. When Mai Chenghuan came downstairs and saw them chatting and laughing, her heart was filled with joy. Liu Wanyu held a cookbook and asked Mai Chenghuan to choose a dish, then went downstairs to start preparing. Yao Zhiming, worried about Mai Chenghuan, finished his work early and rushed back to Shanghai.

Yao Renfu had just been released from prison and went straight to the old house. Liu Wanyu tried to drive him away, but not only did he refuse to leave, he walked right in and demanded to see Yao Zhiming. When Mai Chenghuan found out he was Yao Zhiming’s father, she immediately called Yao Zhiming. Yao Zhiming arrived at the old house shortly after. The moment he saw Yao Renfu, his anger flared, and he forcefully dragged him away.

Only then did Liu Wanyu realize Yao Renfu had just gotten out of prison and was left speechless in shock. Yao Zhiming drove Yao Renfu to the airport, planning to send him to Switzerland. But Yao Renfu was unwilling to leave and sneaked out of the car during a red light. Yao Zhiming was left speechless in anger. Yao Renfu was a gambling addict who had ignored both Yao Zhiming and his mother.

His mother eventually left them in frustration, and Yao Zhiming suffered greatly as a child. Just thinking about Yao Renfu filled him with rage. Mai Chenghuan sent a message to check on Yao Zhiming. He didn’t want her to worry and quickly made up an excuse to brush it off. Yao Renfu went to Xing'anli to stir up trouble, loudly claiming that the hotel was his.

Mai Chenghuan rushed over and clearly stated that Chen Shuzhen had left the hotel to her in her will. But Yao Renfu wouldn’t listen and verbally attacked Mai Chenghuan, demanding she return the hotel to Yao Zhiming or he’d stay there forever. Mai Chenghuan arranged for him to be placed in a guest room. Yao Zhiming soon arrived and told Yao Renfu to leave Xing'anli immediately. Yao Renfu refused. Yao Zhiming listed all of Yao Renfu’s misdeeds.

Feeling guilty, Yao Renfu claimed he wanted to take back Xing'anli for Yao Zhiming, but Yao Zhiming didn’t believe him and insisted he leave. Yao Renfu locked himself in his room and refused to come out. Hearing their argument, Mai Chenghuan rushed over to comfort Yao Zhiming and called He Dong for help. Yao Zhiming returned home, dejected and silent. He went straight upstairs. Mai Chenghuan followed but found the door closed. She had no choice but to wait outside.

Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian noticed something was wrong with Mai Chenghuan but didn’t feel it appropriate to interfere, so they quietly observed from afar. On the balcony, Mai Chenghuan danced and made cute poses, trying hard to cheer up Yao Zhiming. He finally softened and agreed to let her into his room. Mai Chenghuan promised to face everything ahead together with Yao Zhiming. They would deal with Yao Renfu as a team.

Liu Wanyu came to Mai Chenghuan’s room but found it empty, so she went to Yao Zhiming’s room. Sure enough, Mai Chenghuan was there. Liu Wanyu called her out and reminded her not to get involved in Yao Zhiming’s family affairs. That night, Mai Chenghuan sat alone on the swing in the courtyard. Mai Laitian came to talk with her.
