Yao Zhiming originally planned the fishing trip as a date with Mai Chenghuan but didn’t expect Mai Laitian and Mai Chengzao to tag along. He feels frustrated but pretends to be cheerful and chats with Mai Laitian. Mai Chenghuan notices he’s unhappy but doesn’t know how to break the awkwardness and remains silent. Mai Chengzao also notices the tension but doesn’t say anything. All four fish together.

Yao Zhiming racks his brain trying to send Mai Laitian and Mai Chengzao away, but they don’t get the hint. Mai Chenghuan asks Mai Laitian to start a fire for barbecue and tells Mai Chengzao to help, hoping to talk to Yao Zhiming alone. But Mai Laitian keeps interfering. Yao Zhiming focuses on fishing but keeps missing. When Mai Chenghuan catches a fish, Yao Zhiming helps pull it up but ends up flinging it into a tree.

Mai Laitian and Mai Chengzao finish grilling the meat and fish. The four of them drink and chat. Mai Laitian encourages Mai Chengzao and Mai Chenghuan to spend more time with Liu Wanyu. They readily agree. Liu Wanyu is home alone, bored. Yao Zhiming and Mai Laitian return home late. Smelling the alcohol on Mai Laitian, she scolds him and drags him back to their room. Yao Zhiming stays up late and doesn’t get up in the morning.

Liu Wanyu, worried, keeps knocking on his door despite Mai Laitian’s advice. Yao Zhiming opens the door and explains. Liu Wanyu prepares a big meal, hoping Mai Chenghuan will come home to eat. Yao Zhiming, not wanting her to be disappointed, goes with her to deliver the meal. Liu Wanyu suddenly gets a headache and wants to stop by the pharmacy. Yao Zhiming happens to have headache medicine.

Mai Laitian suspects she’s using it as an excuse to avoid seeing Mai Chenghuan. Liu Wanyu has no choice but to go to Xing'anli. The success of President Zheng’s wedding brings great fame to the hotel. Many people now want to hold their weddings there. Mai Chenghuan is thrilled and wants to visit her parents. While waiting for a car at the hotel entrance, a drunk man approaches Mai Chenghuan and insists she drink with him.

She politely declines, but he keeps pestering her. Liu Wanyu sees this from afar, rushes over to protect her, and beats the drunk with her shoe, injuring him. The man flees in fear. The police call both parties to the station. Liu Wanyu explains she saw someone harassing Mai Chenghuan and hit him. Mai Chenghuan hugs Liu Wanyu tightly and thanks her repeatedly. Yao Zhiming arrives and threatens the drunk to drop the matter.

He also asks He Dong to buy Liu Wanyu a new pair of shoes. Luckily, the man wasn’t seriously hurt. The police give Liu Wanyu a warning and let her go. Mai Chenghuan accompanies Liu Wanyu home and agrees to move back. Liu Wanyu is overjoyed. Mai Laitian tells Maomao what happened, and she can’t stop laughing. Mai Chengzao gives Maomao a bottle of milk.

Mai Chenghuan asks Mai Chengzao to pack and move back home and specifically tells him to escort Maomao. Maomao worries Mai Chenghuan won’t approve of their relationship, but Mai Chengzao doesn’t care as long as their love is real. Liu Wanyu worries that Mai Chenghuan won’t get used to living at home again and might leave. She wants to check on her, but Mai Laitian reassures her that she won’t leave again.

As Mai Chenghuan is about to lie down, Yao Zhiming invites her to sit in the yard. She thanks him for helping Liu Wanyu. Yao Zhiming takes the chance to confess his feelings, leaving her unsure how to respond. Suddenly, he receives a call from airport staff—his friend Zhang Ziyu had her wallet stolen. Yao Zhiming rushes to the airport. Mai Chenghuan goes to bed and adjusts the hallway light to shine on the stairs for his convenience.
