Snow Eagle Lord Episode 4 Recap
> Snow Eagle Lord Recap
During a confrontation at Snow Stone Fort, Yu Jingqiu experienced strange visions that seemed connected to her parents. She questioned the captured Ge Bin, but he denied knowing anything about her past. Later, the elders of the Water Daoist Temple debated Ge Bin's fate. While some demanded his execution, Yu Jingqiu argued he could be used as bait to lure out the Demon Clan, particularly the "Gray Robe" Ge Bin had mentioned.
The plan was approved, and Chi Qiubai was assigned to escort Ge Bin to the Water Daoist Temple for safekeeping, with Yu Jingqiu joining the mission. Concerned about the Demon Clan's growing threat, Chi Qiubai traveled to Fog City to check on his beloved, Bu Xiaoxi. He found that she and her sister, Bu Chunyuan, had already reinforced the city's defenses.
Bu Xiaoxi assured him that Fog City's natural geography and their strengthened fortifications made it secure, a defense further enhanced by their "Double Fans" combined martial arts technique. Chi Qiubai praised their diligence, stressing the importance of protecting the Forbidden Zone of Source Stones from the cunning Demon Clan. The couple reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the city and each other.
At the Water Daoist Temple, Yu Jingqiu confided in her master, Sikong Yang, about the fragmented childhood memories she'd been having. She could recall being a child crying for her parents but was unable to see their faces. Sikong Yang attempted to investigate and discovered her memories had been sealed by an extremely powerful expert, warning that forcibly breaking the seal would be life-threatening.
Yu Jingqiu accepted her situation, expressing deep gratitude to her master and the temple for giving her a home and a family. Elsewhere, Kong Hai was frustrated with his two children. His son and heir, Kong Hao, ignored the family business, preferring martial arts and weapons. His daughter, Kong Youyue, was a talented businesswoman, but Kong Hai believed she should marry and settle down.
He revealed he had arranged a marriage for her with the son of a long-standing family friend. Dismayed, as she was secretly fond of Dongbo Xueying, whom she had met once, Kong Youyue and her brother openly defied their father's traditional plans. At Snow Stone Fort, Dongbo Xueying recovered from his injuries under the care of Zong Ling and Tong San.
Troubled and driven, he practiced his spear techniques relentlessly in the snow, fueled by the memory of his mother's plea for him to live well and not attempt another rescue. He silently vowed he would save her one day. Zong Ling advised him that advancing his spear skills required stable Dou Qi, which could only be achieved with proper guidance.
Recalling Chi Qiubai's offer, Dongbo Xueying decided to enroll in Changfeng Academy to accelerate his training, a decision Zong Ling supported. Soon after, Kong Hai arrived at Snow Stone Fort with Kong Youyue. Tong San, still bitter about Kong Hai's past indifference, gave them a cold reception. Mistaking Dongbo Qingshi for her betrothed, Kong Youyue faked a contagious skin disease to sabotage the arrangement. The ruse ended when Dongbo Xueying appeared, much to her surprise and delight.
Kong Hai presented Dongbo Xueying with a high-quality source stone to aid his recovery before raising the topic of the arranged marriage. Dongbo Xueying politely but firmly declined, stating that his sole focus was cultivation and that he had no interest in marriage, urging Kong Hai to find a better match for his daughter. When Kong Hai suggested Youyue stay to get acquainted, Xueying thwarted the plan by announcing his immediate departure for Changfeng Academy.
After leaving the fort, Dongbo Xueying visited Dragon Mountain Mansion to ask Lord Si An about Ge Bin. Si An informed him that Ge Bin had not confessed and had been escorted away by Chi Qiubai about an hour earlier.
As Xueying left, Si An remarked to a subordinate on Xueying's remarkable abilities—his sudden acquisition of Dou Qi, his immunity to the demonized Ocean Realm Stone, and his lineage as Moyang Yu's son—speculating that he might possess an Ancient Bloodline and would surely thrive at Changfeng Academy. Meanwhile, the escort party with Ge Bin was ambushed. After hearing a strange noise, Chi Qiubai went to investigate.
A black-clad assailant attacked, and Dongbo Xueying arrived just in time to help Yu Jingqiu fight back. The attacker escaped, leaving Ge Bin near death. Chi Qiubai returned, identifying the noise as a trap set by an Imposter Bug. Xiuran, one of the escorting disciples, immediately accused Dongbo Xueying of collaborating with the attacker. Despite Yu Jingqiu's defense, Xiuran remained insistent.
Chi Qiubai ordered a return to the Water Daoist Temple, and Xiuran demanded Dongbo Xueying come along to be interrogated. At the temple, Dongbo Xueying reiterated his desire to join Changfeng Academy, but Xiuran continued to question his character. Seizing the opportunity, Xueying suggested the ambush proved there was a spy within the temple and offered to expose them.
He produced a packet of powder, falsely claiming it was a poison that would kill anyone who had touched the stolen Ocean Realm Stone and that Sikong Yang had asked him to use it. As he demonstrated, Xiuran panicked, claiming his neck was burning and decaying. Realizing he was exposed, Xiuran committed suicide.
Another disciple, Muyu, confessed he knew Xiuran was a spy, forced to serve the Demon Clan under a Deadly Vow, and had kept his secret out of loyalty. Dongbo Xueying then revealed the "poison" was merely chili powder. Sikong Yang ordered Muyu imprisoned for his complicity, and Xueying told Yu Jingqiu he had another idea to uncover the Demon Clan's plans.
Concurrently, Dongbo Qingshi used his brother's Black Iron Order to enter Dragon Mountain Mansion, demanding Lord Si An reveal their mother's location. Si An admonished him for his weakness, stating a rescue attempt would be suicide, and gave him a portrait, telling him to seek his "opportunity" outside. In the city, Qingshi encountered a young woman, Ji Rong, and her master, Bai Yuanzhi. As Bai Yuanzhi approached, the portrait in Qingshi's hand vanished.
Convinced this was his destiny, Qingshi knelt and begged Bai Yuanzhi to accept him as a disciple. Bai Yuanzhi refused and left, but Qingshi followed him and continued to kneel outside his courtyard, vowing not to rise until he was accepted.
