They used a soporific liquid to make the guardian, Si An, fall asleep. However, after a thorough search, they found no information related to removing magical Snowflake Marks. After waking, Si An locked the library doors, trapping them inside, though he remained unaware of their presence.
Meanwhile, Kong Youyue and Pu Yangbo were searching for the missing pair. At the Water Daoist Temple, they discovered the Demon Clan's Black Mist Swamp, realizing that the demons were using extensive resources to hunt Yu Jingqiu. Aware that both the Demon Clan and the Council of Elders posed a threat, Pu Yangbo recalled mentioning a remote place to Xueying—the Dongyu Tavern, a quiet spot he used for his childhood business ventures. They decided to head there.
Upon reaching the Dongyu Tavern, Pu Yangbo used a secret cuckoo call that DongBo Xueying recognized from their time at Changfeng Academy. Shortly after they reunited, Xue Ruoshuang arrived and urgently insisted that Yu Jingqiu, whom she addressed as "Young Master," return with her to the Moxue Empire. She explained that Jingqiu was now a target for both righteous factions and the Demon Clan.
Yu Jingqiu refused, stating that her awakening divine bloodline offered some protection and that she could not abandon the Xia Clan, which her parents had died to protect. DongBo Xueying and the others vowed to protect her, temporarily appeasing Xue Ruoshuang. The group later learned that Sikong Yang had been imprisoned as a suspected spy. They followed him to a secret chamber and found him with Bai Yuanzhi, who was severely afflicted by a demonic poison.
Sikong Yang explained that Bai Yuanzhi, whose real name was Dugu Ling, was his senior who had been poisoned while protecting him in a past battle. For years, Sikong Yang had been suppressing the poison with his own energy, which caused the black mark on his arm. Bai Yuanzhi, driven by a past failure to destroy the Snowflake Mark, tried to kill Yu Jingqiu upon seeing it in her, but Sikong Yang intervened, arguing that she was innocent.
Having cleared his name with the group, Sikong Yang helped them devise a plan to expose the true spy, whom they now suspected was Elder Xi Yun. DongBo Xueying then presented this plan to the Council of Elders, which included Ye Mei and Xi Yun himself. The plan involved staging a public execution of Sikong Yang and Yu Jingqiu.
They would claim that killing Sikong Yang would force out the Demon God's remnant body, which would then be drawn to Yu Jingqiu's Snowflake Mark, allowing them to eliminate both. Xueying stressed that destroying the remnant body was critical, as the bronze coffin's seal was tied to the elders' lives. Feigning allegiance, Xi Yun agreed to the risky plan along with Ye Mei.
Before the staged execution, the Demon God promised his lieutenants, Ao Lan and High Priest Xi Yun, that they would rule the Dragon Mountain Empire after his resurrection. At the execution ground, Ao Lan led a demon army to seize Yu Jingqiu and her Snowflake Mark, falling into the heroes' trap. DongBo Xueying, Chi Qiubai, and their allies engaged the demon forces. Xi Yun found himself caught in a formation secretly prepared by Xueying.
His identity as the spy exposed, Xi Yun dropped his pretense and used the Demon God's power to break the barrier. The battle resulted in heavy losses for the Demon Clan, and the injured Ao Lan and Xi Yun were forced to escape by opening a portal to the Void Realm. With the spy now exposed, DongBo Xueying focused on his cultivation.
Guided by Chi Qiubai, he learned that Lu's Fort, where Xi Yun had vanished, was likely an entrance to the Void Realm—a parallel dimension inaccessible to even the most powerful warriors. Chi Qiubai believed the Demon God Association's headquarters was hidden there and that only mastering the True Meaning of Void Realm could grant access.
Practicing the Space Split technique with his brother's staff, Xueying speculated that he needed to fuse a fourth True Meaning with his existing three to achieve this. Meanwhile, Yu Jingqiu found herself growing progressively weaker, especially when near DongBo Xueying. The cause was revealed after Xue Ruoshuang witnessed Jingqiu transferring her own divine energy to help the dizzy Xueying.
Realizing Xueying was the son of Moyang Yu, Xue Ruoshuang explained that his awakening Ancient Bloodline was in direct conflict with Jingqiu's divine bloodline. His intense training was causing his dormant power to awaken by consuming and draining Jingqiu's. Xue Ruoshuang warned that if his bloodline fully awakened, they could never be together.
However, unwilling to be a burden, Yu Jingqiu resolved that Xueying must awaken his power to save his mother and defeat the Demon God, even if it meant sacrificing their future together.
