Realizing that only the Seven Pistil Chaenomeles sinensis could break the poison's hold, Shi Wanchen surmised that the Medicine King Valley must have cultivated the rare flower. He decided to go there himself to investigate.
Meanwhile, at the Medicine King Valley, Murong Jingyue instructed Jiang Xiaotie in the Soul Steal Grasp technique. Xue Que planned for Jiang Xiaotie to formally apprentice under Murong Jingyue to learn the Medicine King Valley's martial arts. Jiang Tieshan, seeing Xue Que and Murong Jingyue conversing and smiling, grew visibly jealous. Xue Que, however, dismissed Cheng Lingsu as a mere woman incapable of inheriting the sect's legacy.
