Rush to the Dead Summer Episode 11 Recap
> Rush to the Dead Summer Recap
The security guards were patrolling the school when Yu Jian stealthily climbed over the wall and entered. Li Xia worried that Yu Jian would be in danger, but her roommates did not sympathize with Yu Jian, calling her a "bad girl." Yu Jian had a reclusive personality, was used to being alone, and didn't interact much with her roommates. She disdained explaining anything about herself to others. Li Xia helped Yu Jian clean her desk, but Yu Jian seemed ungrateful.
Fu Xiaosi, as always, bought breakfast for Li Xia and reminded him to come paint as agreed, even though their bet had expired. Lu Zhiang was curious about Fu Xiaosi's actions. Fu Xiaosi firmly told him that he was going to accomplish something big; in fact, he wanted to stay by Li Xia's side all along. Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi painted together as agreed, a long-awaited scene that both of them cherished.
Unbeknownst to him, Fu Xiaosi's gaze could no longer leave Li Xia. He would care about Li Xia's every move; when Li Xia was happy, Fu Xiaosi would involuntarily smile; when Li Xia was troubled, his heart would also be heavy all day. But how long could such a pure and beautiful relationship last? Which path should the feelings among Lu Zhiang, Li Xia, and Fu Xiaosi take to continue without harm? Li Yanran came to visit Fu Xiaosi's mother.
When Fu Xiaosi's mother asked about her injuries, Li Yanran pretended to be innocent, blaming Li Xia and Cheng Qiqi for everything, using this as an excuse to stir up Fu Xiaosi's mother's misunderstanding of Li Xia. Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi finished painting for the day. The rain was drizzling, and Li Xia was about to walk back to the dormitory in the rain.
But Fu Xiaosi grabbed Li Xia's hand, took off his sweater, and held it over Li Xia's head, protecting him from the wind and rain. The two ran together in the rain, enjoying their carefree happiness. The news of Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi tutoring alone in the art room spread throughout the school. Students, without understanding the truth, criticized Li Xia.
Faced with the wild rumors, Li Xia tried hard to explain, but he always ended up more annoyed and anxious due to deepening misunderstandings. The destructive power of rumors was far more severe than Li Xia imagined. Their newly eased relationship became vulnerable again in the face of criticism. What should Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi do now? Lu Zhiang was worried about Li Xia.
But what bothered him more was that the inseparable trio had now become a two-person space belonging only to Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi. He felt excluded. Sharing Lu Zhiang's predicament was Cheng Qiqi, who had quietly fallen for Fu Xiaosi. Although she didn't want to believe the rumors, she feared the truth behind them. She was afraid that as Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi grew closer, both her love and friendship would suffer setbacks.
Lu Zhiang and Cheng Qiqi ate and drank heavily together to vent their worries. Cheng Qiqi suddenly caught a cold. Lu Zhiang carried the vulnerable Cheng Qiqi, bought her medicine, took her home, and cared for her meticulously. The two, sharing similar misfortunes, found common ground by hiding their respective pain and bitterness. Yu Jian returned to the dormitory late at night. Her roommates were all sound asleep; only Li Xia was still patiently waiting for her.
Yu Jian sat down to rest in the dormitory, and Li Xia gave her his milk. In Li Xia's heart, he had long regarded Yu Jian as a friend, a trustworthy friend. A group of thugs threatened Yu Jian, coercing her not to interfere with territory she shouldn't manage. Yu Jian, unwilling to yield, naturally refused to agree. Seeing Yu Jian in trouble, Li Xia stepped forward to defend her. However, the other party completely disregarded the two of them.
Li Xia and Yu Jian could not handle the situation. Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang rushed over. The thugs, not wanting to suffer losses, left first. Fu Xiaosi pulled Li Xia away. Even though the rumors had not yet dissipated, the best way to combat them was to prove the truth and clear their names. Yu Jian was called upon in class. Students whispered about Yu Jian, disliking that she was dragging the whole class down.
Li Xia, however, secretly passed the answer to Yu Jian. Yu Jian's impromptu English speaking surprised all the classmates. The relationship between Yu Jian and Li Xia was also subtly changing. Li Yanran specifically waited for Li Xia. She told Li Xia not to bother Fu Xiaosi anymore, because rumors would bring unexpected trouble to Fu Xiaosi.
Li Xia wanted to explain to Li Yanran, wanted to hold her back, but Li Yanran deliberately tore her clothes and pointed the finger directly at Li Xia. Just then, Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang passed by. Li Yanran deliberately exaggerated and wrongly accused Li Xia in front of Fu Xiaosi, acting pitiful. Yu Jian helped Li Xia by confronting Li Yanran. Fu Xiaosi forcibly pulled Li Yanran away, leaving behind Li Xia's wronged and sad figure.
The roommates praised Yu Jian for bravely standing up for Li Xia, and slowly their perception changed towards Yu Jian, who seemed aloof but was actually warm-hearted. Li Xia kept thinking about Fu Xiaosi misunderstanding him regarding Li Yanran. Saddened, he ruthlessly threw his notebook, which was exclusively for Fu Xiaosi, into the trash. Unable to sleep, he still couldn't let go of the Fu Xiaosi he once loved so much, and quietly picked the notebook back up.
Yu Jian, knowing Li Xia had something on his mind, also didn't fall asleep. Li Xia voluntarily confided in Yu Jian. Personalities can be harmonized, and interests can be cultivated, but emotions require nurturing. True feelings are revealed in adversity, and as time changes, Yu Jian and Li Xia thus slowly grew closer through countless small acts of care.
