He revealed that he had sold his house and put everything on the line for his project, prompting Xu Si to instruct his assistant, Wu Guanglei, to bring Zhou Qing in.
At Teng Yue, Yang Jian noticed Jiang Hu seemed troubled despite a good sales day, with over 800 pairs of shoes shipped. He tried to reassure her by mentioning that offline distributor orders were strong and she was hiring a consultant. He asked if she had argued with Zhaoyang, who had also been moody the previous night. Jiang Hu deflected, saying he couldn't help, and borrowed his car.
Zhou Qing presented his project proposal to Xu Si, who pointed out that, as his colleague Joey had previously stated, only an industrial park with an annual output value exceeding one billion yuan could fully absorb the project. Zhou Qing acknowledged this but passionately defended his venture, citing his background in mechanical engineering and twenty years of experience in production line manufacturing.

After Xu Si drove Jiang Hu back to the factory, he stole a kiss before his taxi departed, telling her it was the only ending that would satisfy him. Yang Jian witnessed the moment, realizing their relationship was serious, though he privately admitted his dislike for Xu Si. The next morning, learning that Jiang Hu had gone to meet Mr. Fang, Zhaoyang assumed she had agreed to partner with Fang Yuan Trading and left a resignation letter on her desk.
When Jiang Hu returned, Zhaoyang announced her intention to resign but offered to stay until a replacement was found. Jiang Hu clarified that she had met with Mr. Fang only to formally reject his offer. Moved by this gesture of trust, Zhaoyang apologized and promised to dedicate herself to the upcoming New Chinese Fashion Festival project. Later, Jiang Hu informed Yue Shan that the quarterly sales goal would remain unchanged and that she was establishing a sales department with a director already in mind. Meanwhile, Zhaoyang met with Master Zhang to learn about Teng Yue's heritage for her designs.
He recounted the brand's popularity in the 80s and 90s, noting how its eagle-like logo was beloved and that old customers still returned out of nostalgia. Jiang Hu invited Fei to the factory canteen for dinner, and Fei brought along her "godfather," Xu Si. Xu Si correctly guessed Jiang Hu had a plan, but she simply stated that she now knew what to do, alluding to Teng Yue's status as a childhood memory for many. Later, Zhaoyang's mother called to remind her of Yang Jian's upcoming birthday. She criticized Zhaoyang's job and praised Yang Jian as a kind-hearted man willing to atone for his father's past mistakes, advising Zhaoyang to treat him well until she could find a better man to marry.
Zhaoyang was irritated by her mother's manipulative view of Yang Jian. In his office, Xu Si dismissed Wu Guanglei's unsolicited dating advice and, noting his lack of experience, assigned him overtime.
