Oh! My Emperor Season 2 Recap

Episode 1 Recap

At the imperial court assembly, Beitang Yi formally announced to the heavens that he had unified military and political power and was now the sovereign of Zodiac State. He declared that, guided by the stars and the light of the Purple unit, he would diligently and humbly work alongside the masters of the twelve stars to fulfill the will of all stars and ancestors.

Following the ministers' congratulations and pledges of allegiance, Beitang Yi stated his commitment to building a prosperous nation and then announced his intention to grant a general amnesty. The Grand Empress Dowager deliberately coughed, but Beitang Yi still announced the edict. She then clearly opposed this, sternly reminding Beitang Yi of his father's demise. She insisted that while amnesty was commendable, its benefits should be exclusive to Zodiac State's own people, explicitly excluding all foreign tribes and offenders.

She questioned his intentions, asking, "If you want to pardon people, who do you want to pardon exactly?" When Beitang Yi affirmed his desire to pardon all prisoners, she pointed out that the Serpent Star people had incited madness and attempted to overthrow their regime, questioning if they, especially their master Luo Feifei, could possibly be pardoned. She then firmly commanded, "Don't let the people of Serpent star go!"

After the assembly, the Grand Empress Dowager directly confronted Beitang Yi, reiterating her order that no one from the Serpent Star, particularly Luo Feifei, should be released. Deep within a cold, dark prison, Luo Feifei lay captive, bound by iron chains. Prince Tang came to plead with Beitang Yi for her release.

He argued that despite her wrong in attempting to assassinate the Emperor, she must have had her reasons, and since Beitang Yi had wounded her with a sword, they were now even. He urged, "Please let her go." Annoyed, Beitang Yi ordered Dehai to remove Prince Tang, who stubbornly refused to leave until Luo Feifei was freed. After Prince Tang was forcibly removed, Dehai, speaking to Beitang Yi, praised Prince Tang's righteousness as a rare quality.

Dehai further suggested that had Beitang Yi not used his sword, Luo Feifei might have gone mad, implying she would ultimately understand his good intentions. Beitang Yi nodded in acknowledgment. Prince Tang then hurried to the prison, where he released all the other Serpent Star people. However, he was too late for Luo Feifei; she had already been taken to the execution ground.

A released prisoner informed him that his "Missy" was on her way to the place of execution, no longer in the prison. Remembering a carriage he had seen, Prince Tang rushed back to the palace to inform Beitang Yi. The news shocked Beitang Yi, who dropped the book he was holding and immediately mounted his horse, riding at full speed towards the execution ground.

At the execution ground, the Grand Empress Dowager declared her intention to execute Luo Feifei, stating that the previous Serpent Star master had committed treason by killing the emperor, and the current one had demonstrated her power when the war broke out, causing all the asters to lose their power and bringing them close to catastrophe. She proclaimed, "I follow the will of the God, to kill the master of Serpent star."

Just as the execution was about to commence, Prince Chen dramatically intervened, shouting, "Cease it!" and demanding, "Mother, you can't kill her." The agitated crowd, believing Luo Feifei had bewitched Prince Chen, chanted, "Kill the witch!" The Grand Empress Dowager, convinced that Luo Feifei posed an existential threat to Zodiac State, insisted she could not be kept alive. Prince Chen, however, stood firm, asserting he had a valid reason to save her.

When pressed to explain how he could forget his brother's death a decade ago, he boldly declared, "Luo Feifei and I have been engaged with a witness. She's my wife, not the foreign people. She belongs to the Zodiac State. The emperor has announced amnesty." The Grand Empress Dowager dismissed his words, accusing him of being bewitched and untrustworthy.

As the crowd continued to demand Luo Feifei's death, Prince Chen defiantly proclaimed, "You need to kill me first if you want to kill her." He knelt, affirming that while he dared not commit treason, couples should share prosperity and endure adversity together, vowing to remain with Luo Feifei, "unbound by death," even if she was the master of Serpent Star. Just as he spoke, Beitang Yi arrived.

The furious Grand Empress Dowager attempted to use Beitang Yi to discredit Prince Chen, accusing him of trying to deceive her with a false engagement and seeking Beitang Yi's judgment. To her astonishment, Beitang Yi confirmed, "I'm aware of it. I was there when they engaged," validating Prince Chen's claim. Defeated, the Grand Empress Dowager had no choice but to concede. Prince Chen then declared, "Feifei is my wife now.

I will protect her with all means," before scooping up Luo Feifei and carrying her away. At Prince Chen's residence, Luo Feifei was gently placed on a bed. Prince Chen meticulously tended to her, carefully wiping her feverish forehead. Su Xunxian arrived and playfully teased Prince Chen, remarking on his emotional state and how love could be endlessly captivating. Su Xunxian congratulated Prince Chen on his bravery at the execution ground.

Meanwhile, Beitang Yi sat at his own desk, attempting to appear calm, yet his mind was clearly preoccupied, as evidenced by the papers before him, all covered with Luo Feifei's name, as Luo Feifei and Prince Chen's wedding was approaching. Dehai, discerning Beitang Yi's inner turmoil, gently took the Emperor's hand, subtly urging him to go to Luo Feifei. Beitang Yi shot a cold glance at Dehai's hand, prompting him to quickly release it.

Dehai then voiced his concern, wondering aloud how Beitang Yi could remain so calm when Luo Feifei was soon to be Prince Chen's wife. He directly observed Beitang Yi's inability to forget Luo Feifei and questioned why he had allowed her to leave, finally advising, "Go get her." Later that night, Xie Yanran arrived at Prince Chen's residence, expressing deep concern for Luo Feifei's severe injuries.

Prince Chen informed her that Luo Feifei was suffering from another fever and was unconscious. As it was late and cold, Prince Chen urged Xie Yanran to return home. However, Xie Yanran insisted on staying, explaining that she couldn't sleep until Luo Feifei woke up, hoping her presence would bring her peace of mind. Prince Chen was busy gathering skilled individuals to concoct a medicinal soup for the unconscious and feverish Luo Feifei.

Under the cover of darkness, Beitang Yi, cloaked in black and masked, secretly infiltrated Prince Chen's residence. He silently made his way to Luo Feifei's room and stood there, gazing intently at her as she lay unconscious. At the same time, Prince Tang was at the Grand Empress Dowager's palace, massaging her legs. The Grand Empress Dowager, seemingly enjoying his company, remarked on his growing consideration. She then inquired about Beitang Yi, before suddenly suggesting they go visit him.

Prince Tang attempted to dissuade her, suggesting they wait until tomorrow, but she insisted on going now, believing Beitang Yi would be reviewing memorials. Elsewhere, a young girl named Chongchong, also wearing a mask, entered Luo Feifei's room. She unexpectedly encountered Beitang Yi, similarly disguised, who awkwardly pretended not to notice her and quickly slipped out through the back door. Chongchong internally mused, "That big brother is so weird. I don't understand you adults. So weird." She then approached Luo Feifei's bedside, saying, "Sister, I've come to save you. Please get well soon," and began to use her extraordinary abilities to heal Luo Feifei.

Episode 2 Recap

The Grand Empress Dowager arrived at the Emperor's bedchamber. De Hai informed her that the Emperor had retired, but she did not believe him and forced her way in. Upon pulling back the covers, she discovered Beitang Tang lying in the bed. Enraged, she learned that the Emperor, Beitang Yi, had gone to Prince Chen's manor to see Luo Feifei.

Convinced that Luo Feifei was a wicked girl who had bewitched the three royal men, the Grand Empress Dowager resolved to eliminate her before she caused more harm to the country. She then ordered Beitang Tang to be confined to his palace for reflection. Beitang Tang, despite his protests and attempts to explain himself, was escorted away. At Prince Chen's manor, Chongchong successfully used her extraordinary abilities to revive Luo Feifei.

Luo Feifei immediately noticed Chongchong's hand and warned her not to overexert her powers, but Chongchong admitted her energy was too weak and wished her grandfather were there. Chongchong then told Luo Feifei that a "fierce-looking guy" with a sullen face had been there earlier before slipping away through the back door. Meanwhile, the eccentric healers Prince Chen had summoned finally concocted a dark, foul-smelling medicine. A maid brought the medicine to Luo Feifei's room.

Luo Feifei, still adjusting to her new status as Prince Chen's consort, wondered how she would face him. Upon hearing approaching footsteps, she quickly pretended to be asleep. Prince Chen instructed the maid to administer the medicine, but Luo Feifei kept her mouth tightly shut, letting the liquid dribble from her lips. Seeing the maid's difficulty, Prince Chen decided to feed her himself.

As he brought a spoonful to her lips, just an inch away, Xie Yanran called out to him. Prince Chen swallowed the medicine himself. Xie Yanran then volunteered to feed Luo Feifei. She took a mouthful and leaned in, but Luo Feifei suddenly opened her eyes, causing Xie Yanran to spray the medicine all over her face. Recognizing Luo Feifei was awake, Xie Yanran offered to stay and care for her, urging Prince Chen to rest.

Prince Chen then instructed his healers to send a copy of the effective prescription to his study. In the Imperial Study, Emperor Beitang Yi presided over a meeting with his ministers. A minister reported that while searching for Lord Xie with Xifeng Lie, they encountered a group of mysterious men. They intended to uncover the mysterious men's identities, but Xifeng Lie was unexpectedly captured.

Prince Chen remarked that these recent strange occurrences were eerily similar to the treason case from ten years ago, where the previous Constellation Lord became unconscious after disappearing for a few days. He noted that Luo Feifei also became unconscious after a brief disappearance, wondering if Xifeng Lie's capture was related to a similar phenomenon. Beitang Yi emphasized the urgency of rescuing Xifeng Lie.

Far away in the desert, Xifeng Lie and other individuals from the Zodiac State were bound to wooden stakes. Xifeng Lie confronted their captor, a mysterious person in foreign attire, demanding to know their identity. The mysterious person refused to divulge any information, warning Xifeng Lie that the Zodiac State would suffer a hundred or even a thousand times more than they already had.

Back in the Imperial Study, Su Xunxian jokingly remarked on the vast sum, twenty thousand Constellation Coins, Prince Chen had spent to treat Luo Feifei. Prince Chen proudly stated his wealth allowed him to do as he pleased to help. Beitang Yi, hearing that Luo Feifei had regained consciousness, was secretly pleased. He also learned that the folk remedy provided by the strange individuals from Xunxian Faction had cured Luo Feifei.

This gave Beitang Yi an idea: since the prisoners in the dungeon suffered from the same affliction, why not use this medicine to cure them? He immediately ordered Bai Wuchen to brew the medicine overnight and administer it to the afflicted prisoners. He also commanded Shang Yu to secretly investigate the mysterious men and ensure Xifeng Lie's recovery. Meanwhile, Beitang Tang, confined to his manor, paced back and forth, loudly demanding to be let out.

Still confined, Beitang Tang complained about his situation. Suddenly, he remembered he had the ability to create doubles. Chiding himself for his foolishness in not thinking of it sooner, he used a double to escape his confinement and proceeded directly to the imperial palace. At the same time, Shang Yu had already made preparations to rescue Xifeng Lie and awaited Beitang Yi's command to depart with two elite subordinates.

Beitang Tang arrived and eagerly volunteered to join the rescue mission, an offer Beitang Yi approved. Shang Yu expressed concerns about the difficulties ahead, but Beitang Tang confidently assured him he would take care of everything. Later that night, Luo Feifei and Chongchong were in their room, complaining of hunger despite having eaten a substantial meal earlier. Prince Chen, still thinking of Luo Feifei, came to her room and asked if she was asleep.

Luo Feifei immediately feigned sleep and mumbled that she was. Prince Chen, seeing this, could only tell her to rest well and promised to visit another day before leaving. As soon as Prince Chen left, Luo Feifei blew out the candle. Unbeknownst to them, Beitang Yi was standing openly nearby, observing her room.

Prince Chen, on his way out, walked past Beitang Yi and sarcastically commented on the Emperor's leisure to sneak into a prince's manor in the middle of the night. Beitang Yi retorted, mocking Prince Chen for knocking on a girl's bedroom door so late. Prince Chen reminded Beitang Yi that he and Luo Feifei were engaged, but Beitang Yi refused to acknowledge the betrothal before the wedding ceremony.

Prince Chen then proposed that Beitang Yi set a wedding date for them, which visibly displeased Beitang Yi, who promptly left. Beitang Tang and Shang Yu rode their horses into the vast desert. They encountered a beautiful woman with a head covering named Xia Bing, who led them to her dwelling. Both men were pleased to find shelter in the wilderness. Beitang Tang, ever the smooth talker, flirtatiously called Xia Bing "sister" and complimented her beauty.

Shang Yu, maintaining a professional demeanor, inquired about Xifeng Lie's whereabouts. Xia Bing claimed she had not seen him and suggested that if their friend was truly lost, they should prepare for the worst, as the desert was desolate with only wind and sand for company. As it was late, Luo Feifei grew concerned for Chongchong and decided to personally walk her home.

Beitang Yi secretly followed them, and after hearing their conversation, he intentionally positioned himself on Luo Feifei's path. When Luo Feifei and Chongchong arrived near a small outdoor hut, Beitang Yi was already waiting nearby. Luo Feifei expressed surprise at encountering him, but Beitang Yi simply claimed he was just passing by and asked why she was out with a child instead of staying at Prince Chen's manor. Chongchong, offended, insisted she was not a child but "Chongchong."

Luo Feifei tried to pull Chongchong away, but Beitang Yi called out to her, mockingly asking her to call him "Aunt." Luo Feifei then asked what he was doing out there. Beitang Yi mentioned knowing how to treat the "dragon egg" disease that afflicted the crazed individuals, claiming he had found an antidote.

Luo Feifei clarified that it was Chongchong who had truly cured her, explaining that Ophiuchus' power of retrograde could also be used for healing, unlike the offensive powers of the twelve constellations. As Luo Feifei walked away, Chongchong recognized Beitang Yi as the "fierce big brother" she had seen earlier and directly asked him if he liked her sister.

Episode 3 Recap

Bei Tangyi accompanied Luo Feifei to the Ophiuchus Village to treat the frenzied patients. Chongchong, who previously cured Luo Feifei, explained that the Ophiuchus’s superpower of retrograde could heal people. Xiang Wentian, an Ophiuchus elder, was healing many people and explained that this power came at the cost of the user's life force, before suddenly collapsing, having depleted his life force. Luo Feifei offered to use her own powers to treat him, but he refused.

Before his passing, Xiang Wentian's only regret was not seeing the Ophiuchus' name cleared. He recounted the tragic history: many years ago, during the war between the Zodiac State and the Orion State, the last Ophiuchus Constellation Lord discovered the late Emperor was infected with a virus. He sought advice from other Constellation Lords, but no one believed him. Later, when the late Emperor went crazy in the palace, the Ophiuchus Constellation Lord, out of desperation, killed him.

However, he was branded a kingslayer and subsequently killed by the other Constellation Lords. Since then, the Ophiuchus lineage was abolished, and their people were regarded as outsiders. Seeing Xiang Wentian fading, Luo Feifei urged Bei Tangyi to promise to clear the Ophiuchus' name. Bei Tangyi, after a brief pause, vowed to do so. With that promise, Xiang Wentian found peace and passed away, leaving Chongchong heartbroken.

Later that night, Bei Tangyi carried the unconscious Luo Feifei back to the Prince's residence, where they encountered Prince Chen. Bei Tangyi confirmed to Prince Chen that he now believed the Ophiuchus people were poisoned rather than conspiring treason. Prince Chen mentioned his own medicine seemed ineffective and that he had sent for Tang Tang and Shang Yu. He then advised Bei Tangyi not to proceed further, as they were approaching the consort's bedchamber, an inappropriate place for him.

However, Bei Tangyi refused to hand Luo Feifei over and carried her directly into the bedchamber himself. Meanwhile, in the desert, Xia Bing led Prince Tang and Shang Yu to a flower field. She challenged Prince Tang to fill a basket with flowers within fifteen minutes, or they would receive no water or food. She also set a "safe distance" and warned him against physical contact, threatening to cut off any trespassing body parts.

Prince Tang, undeterred, subtly signaled Shang Yu. Shang Yu then used his "Sun and Moon Walk" power. When Xia Bing and her companions recovered their senses, they found the basket overflowing with flowers. Prince Tang, with a flower in his mouth, had his arm casually draped over Xia Bing’s shoulder, gazing at her intently. Xia Bing promptly threw his arm off.

After regaining consciousness at the Prince's residence, Luo Feifei asked the servants not to call her "Prince Consort," explaining that Prince Chen's marriage proposal was merely a ruse to save her. Prince Chen overheard this and confirmed he would resolve the situation and prove her innocence as soon as possible. Soon after, Pharmacist Bilian arrived, announcing an imperial summons from the Grand Empress Dowager for Prince Chen, Xie Yanran, and Luo Feifei to the palace for a discussion.

As Luo Feifei entered the Grand Empress Dowager's hall, she almost tripped over the threshold, but Bei Tangyi swiftly caught her. They playfully addressed each other as "nephew" and "aunt." The Grand Empress Dowager had called them to discuss the Emperor's marriage, intending to betroth Xie Yanran to Bei Tangyi, stating that the prosperous state needed a capable empress like Yanran.

However, Xie Yanran openly defied the order, expressing that her heart belonged to another and asking the Grand Empress Dowager to revoke the decree. The Grand Empress Dowager, angered by this public defiance, scolded Yanran and accused Luo Feifei of being a bad influence. When Luo Feifei attempted to speak, the Grand Empress Dowager immediately silenced her, warning her not to be a hero.

Outside the palace, Bei Tangyi assured Luo Feifei that he would find a way to clear the Ophiuchus' name, stating he believed in her, and therefore, in their innocence. Luo Feifei expressed her worry that the Grand Empress Dowager might still insist on Prince Chen marrying her. Bei Tangyi firmly declared that if it came to that, he would abdicate the throne.

Later, the Grand Empress Dowager, still frustrated about the Emperor's marriage, was advised by Bilian that if Prince Chen were given her blessings for his marriage, many problems would be resolved. Recognizing the wisdom in this, the Grand Empress Dowager decided to arrange a grand wedding ceremony for Prince Chen and Luo Feifei.

Elsewhere, Su Xunxian advised Luo Feifei to be kinder to Prince Chen, reminding her of the significant cost he incurred to cure her, emphasizing that while money could be repaid, affection was difficult to reciprocate. He also pointed out that Prince Chen was as good as, if not better than, the Emperor, and that there were many eligible people, so she shouldn't fixate on just one.

Back in Xia Bing's house in the desert, numerous black insects crawled towards Shang Yu. As he investigated their presence, he was suddenly struck on the head and fell unconscious. He awoke to find himself chained alongside many frenzied individuals, including Xifeng Lie, while Xia Bing remained unchained. Prince Tang then appeared from above, grandly declaring himself Bei Tangtang of Pisces from the Beitang Family of the Zodiac State, and announced his arrival to rescue them. His dramatic entrance, however, concluded with him awkwardly sliding down a flag pole after misjudging his leap.

Episode 4 Recap

Beitang Tang and Shang Yu simultaneously broke free from their restraints. Seeing this, Xia Bing blew a xun to summon the crazed people to attack them. Beitang Tang created multiple clones to fight the frenzied attackers, then struck the xun from Xia Bing’s hand. He seized her, chained her, and took her with him. As they fled from the pursuing crazed people, Beitang Tang demanded an antidote from Xia Bing.

She revealed that the Black Pearl poison had no cure, and since he had knocked the xun from her hands, she could no longer control the crazed individuals. Beitang Tang hoisted Xia Bing onto his shoulder and urged Shang Yu to escape with Xifeng Lie, while he and Xia Bing would lead the crazed people away.

During their escape, Xia Bing stumbled, her foot sinking into the sand, causing them both to tumble down a sand dune and land in a tight embrace, nearly kissing. They both froze, startled. When the crazed people appeared on a nearby hill, Xia Bing quickly pressed Beitang Tang down, helping them avoid detection. Pharmacist Bilian conveyed the Empress Dowager’s order for Prince Chen and Luo Feifei to enter the palace and discuss their wedding.

Luo Feifei wondered what the Empress Dowager was planning, as she had previously shown hostility. However, the Empress Dowager adopted a completely different demeanor, presenting gifts to Luo Feifei and expressing her anticipation for a grandchild, stating she would no longer hinder the match. Luo Feifei declined the gifts, instead requesting that the Empress Dowager prove Ophiuchus’s innocence.

The Empress Dowager readily agreed, promising to investigate the case as Luo Feifei wished, provided she married Prince Chen in a proper, respectable ceremony. Meanwhile, Beitang Tang and Xia Bing, still stranded in the desert, discovered a small, dilapidated house. Inside, they found chicken legs, which they cooked over a bonfire and ate. After some playful banter, they fell asleep. Unbeknownst to them, the house was a bandit hideout.

Two bandits soon returned and decided to rob the sleeping pair, filling the room with smoke. Beitang Tang, sensing the danger, quickly defeated the bandits, saving Xia Bing. With their shelter gone, they had to rest in the open desert. Beitang Tang seemed to develop a fever, and Xia Bing, moved by compassion, shared her cloak with him, falling asleep nestled close by.

The next morning, Beitang Tang woke up and playfully told Xia Bing that he was now hers and she had to take responsibility for him. Xia Bing, in a surprisingly direct manner, agreed. She then chained him and began dragging him forward. In the palace, the Empress Dowager informed Beitang Yi that she wished for him, the Emperor, to personally officiate Prince Chen’s wedding.

Beitang Yi looked visibly displeased, though the Empress Dowager insisted it was to prevent rumors given Prince Chen’s loyal service. As preparations for the wedding proceeded in Prince Chen’s mansion, with decorations set up in Qiye Building, Luo Feifei stood idly on a bridge. Xie Yanran came to find her, and Luo Feifei was delighted.

Xie Yanran initially assumed Beitang Yi had chosen Luo Feifei, but Luo Feifei clarified that Beitang Yi had not chosen her; this was merely a small plot they concocted to deal with the Empress Dowager’s pressure, as they could not treat marriage as a joke or force two people who did not love each other together. Xie Yanran was greatly relieved upon hearing this.

Elsewhere, Beitang Yi sat distracted, writing a decree, oblivious even when black ink dripped onto the imperial edict. Dehai approached to offer advice, urging him to eat and expressing his understanding of the Emperor’s feelings regarding Luo Feifei. Beitang Yi curtly dismissed him. Back in the desert, Xia Bing and Beitang Tang reached a market. Xia Bing bought provisions and a camel. From then on, Xia Bing rode the camel while Beitang Tang, still chained, followed behind.

During their journey, Beitang Tang attempted to bring up what had happened between them the previous night, but Xia Bing adamantly refused to discuss it, telling him to stop being so "savage" and be "soft like a female." Beitang Tang continued to tease her about their encounter, even complaining about his injury while she made him walk. Shang Yu returned to the palace and immediately reported to Beitang Yi.

He had successfully brought Xifeng Lie back and confirmed that Xifeng Lie was afflicted by the Black Pearl poison, a foul-smelling insect that causes madness when combined with a certain flower. Shang Yu revealed that the Orion State was behind these events, having used the Ophiuchus dispute to incite internal unrest. Remembering that the Empress Dowager’s motherland was the Orion State, Beitang Yi went to confront her, presenting evidence.

However, as Beitang Yi took out the box containing the Black Pearl insect, a child accompanying the Empress Dowager accidentally bumped the box, allowing the insect to escape. Later, Xifeng Lie experienced a severe episode and had to be tied to a wooden bench. Imperial Physician Liu confirmed that Xifeng Lie was indeed poisoned by Black Pearl, the same type of poison Luo Feifei had once contracted.

Physician Liu explained that while he could manage the disease's progression, it was incurable. Luo Feifei then offered to use her extraordinary abilities to treat Xifeng Lie, despite Beitang Yi’s concern for her well-being.

Episode 5 Recap

Upon witnessing Xifeng Lie's critical state, Luo Feifei immediately used her unique powers to heal him. After the strenuous effort, she was visibly weakened and almost fainted, prompting Xie Yanran to assist her back. Meanwhile, Prince Chen watched Luo Feifei with evident concern. Later, Beitang Yi reflected on the events that transpired in the Grand Empress Dowager's chambers.

He found it too coincidental that a child would accidentally knock over the box, allowing the poisonous insects to escape at such a crucial moment. Luo Feifei then sought out Prince Chen, who was overjoyed by her visit. He welcomed her warmly, urging her to take a seat and expressing concern for her well-being after her taxing healing of Xifeng Lie. He even offered to send tonics to her place.

Luo Feifei thanked him, but then directly confessed, "Your Highness, I am not into you." Prince Chen admitted he already knew this, yet he had believed that if he kept her by his side, her heart would eventually turn to him. Luo Feifei firmly shook her head, explaining that love cannot be gained through effort.

She further elaborated that this matter had been stalled for too long, and if she didn't make her feelings clear, she would feel "sick of myself." She admitted that the kinder he was to her, the more upset she became. Prince Chen responded with a bitter smile, acknowledging that he should have understood sooner, but letting go of feelings was far harder than understanding them.

Luo Feifei apologized, but Prince Chen gently told her there was no need, attributing it to his own unrequited love and stubbornness. Luo Feifei then made another request: she asked Prince Chen to speak with the Grand Empress Dowager about canceling their engagement. He refused, explaining that it was not the right time and would only provoke her. He promised that once the opportune moment arrived, he would certainly bring up the matter.

Luo Feifei repeatedly thanked him, calling him "so kind," before running off, leaving Prince Chen to ponder her words, acknowledging his kindness but questioning its utility. In the Grand Empress Dowager's chambers, she conversed with a small child who, shockingly, spoke with an adult's voice. This child was Wangyan. Unafraid of the Grand Empress Dowager, Wangyan provocatively stated, "Even though we did that, so what?" implying the Orion State's involvement.

The Grand Empress Dowager, grieving for her son, expressed disbelief that his death could be connected to the Orion State. Wangyan sternly reminded her of her true identity and the very purpose of her marriage into the Zodiac Kingdom, emphasizing that the Orion State, defeated ten years prior, could not afford another such outcome. Later, Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran, both thoroughly intoxicated, were in a pavilion, playfully comparing their hiccups.

Xie Yanran confessed her affection for Prince Chen stemmed from his handsomeness. Luo Feifei, to Xie Yanran's amusement, admitted her reason for liking the Emperor was his handsomeness too. When Xie Yanran pressed her on how the Emperor compared to Jiacheng, Luo Feifei unequivocally stated that the Emperor couldn't possibly compare.

She lauded Jiacheng as gentle, kind, considerate, and talented, unlike the "annoying Dragon Egg" (the Emperor), whom she comically imitated, describing him as looking like "the world owes him five billion." Unbeknownst to her, Beitang Yi, standing across the lake, was overhearing her every word. However, he did not hear her subsequent declaration that despite his flaws—his directness, dullness, old-man-like schedule—his "foolishness" was adorable, and she, Luo Feifei, proclaimed, "The emperor, is mine."

The two women, still inebriated, stumbled onto a bridge and nearly fell. Simultaneously, Beitang Yi and Prince Chen rushed forward. One man embraced Xie Yanran, while the other held Luo Feifei. Their expressions twisted in comical dissatisfaction, and with a swift pull, the two women swapped places, finally content. Each man then carried his preferred woman away. Beitang Yi, masked, carried Luo Feifei to an inn.

The innkeeper, recognizing Luo Feifei as the "female thief," secretly went to report them to the authorities. Beitang Yi settled Luo Feifei on the bed. Half-asleep, Luo Feifei requested water, and Beitang Yi dutifully fetched it for her. As she hummed a tune, he asked about the song. Luo Feifei again began to praise Jiacheng, referring to him as her "Mr. Mcdreamy" who was good-looking, talented, and handsome.

Upon hearing this, Beitang Yi abruptly kissed her, warning her never to mention other men in his presence, lest she be punished. Soon after, Sheng Nan arrived with imperial soldiers to search the inn. To her exasperation, she discovered that the "obscene male" described by the innkeeper was none other than the Emperor himself. The next morning, Xie Yanran burst into Luo Feifei's room, crying and vehemently blaming her.

It turned out the Grand Empress Dowager had summoned them to the Palace. Upon their arrival, the Grand Empress Dowager furiously scolded Luo Feifei for corrupting the Emperor, Prince Chen, and Xie Yanran, leading them to "stay up, booze around, and night out." She declared her intent to punish Luo Feifei. Unyielding, Luo Feifei offered to go to prison herself, claiming she knew the way and was familiar with the jailers. Knowing Luo Feifei's close ties with the prison guards, the Grand Empress Dowager instead decreed that Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran be sent to Bilian for punishment.

Episode 6 Recap

The Empress Dowager, still angry with Luo Feifei's defiance and her past antics, ordered Bilian to take both Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran to the Constellation Health Institute for punishment. Luo Feifei had defiantly asked if she would be put in prison, to which the Empress Dowager replied, "How dare you! How come you get this attitude? Well, I just don't let you go in there." Upon arrival, Bilian immediately put them to work.

She ordered Xie Yanran to wash a stack of basins, which initially amused Luo Feifei. However, Luo Feifei's amusement was short-lived as Bilian quickly assigned her an even larger, human-sized bucket to scrub. Bilian further decreed that they "must weed before it gets dark," ensuring no grass remained, and threatened "No food. No water" if they failed.

Both Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran endured extreme hardship at the Constellation Health Institute, weeding and cleaning cabinets until they were too exhausted to move. Luo Feifei complained to Xie Yanran, "I'm too tired to work. Don't you help me?" Xie Yanran reminded her that if they couldn't finish their tasks, they wouldn't be allowed to sleep. Meanwhile, Shang Yu attempted to feed the bound Xifeng Lie some pastries.

Before even reaching Xifeng Lie's mouth, Shang Yu ate the treat himself, complaining, "You don't eat anything! You upset me!" Xifeng Lie, appearing dazed, slowly spoke about his condition, stating, "Sequela. I'm very slow," indicating the lingering effects of his illness. Beitaing Yi arrived at the Constellation Health Institute to visit Luo Feifei. Upon seeing him, Luo Feifei immediately urged Xie Yanran, the "light bulb," to find a cooler place, hinting for her to leave.

After Xie Yanran, initially slow to understand, finally grasped the hint, she reluctantly departed. Alone with Beitaing Yi, Luo Feifei put on a tearful, wronged expression and tightly embraced him, lamenting, "Gragon Egg, why you're so late? You don't know how tired I am." She implored him to plead with the Empress Dowager on her behalf, saying, "Please intercede for me. Forgive me."

Beitaing Yi reassured her that he would "take you out soon" but cautioned that directly confronting the Empress Dowager now would be "counterproductive." Luo Feifei continued to exaggerate her plight, dramatically shaking her hand and complaining, "Look at my hand, It's shaking. You told me that my hands cannot lift heavily, and my shoulders can't do, either. But now, I was ordered to do so many menial works."

Beitaing Yi, sympathetic to her alleged physical weakness, revealed that he had brought her "something great" that she would like: a hammer stone and a bronze bell. When Luo Feifei questioned their purpose, he explained that knowing her lack of strength, she could "exercise in your free time. It will renew you strength." Luo Feifei was furious at his lack of romantic understanding and angrily retorted, "Do it yourself!"

Beitaing Yi, bewildered by her reaction, mumbled to himself, "Didn't the book 'Xun Hua Wen Liu' say girls like gifts?" Shang Yu and Xifeng Lie then appeared before the Emperor, Beitaing Yi. Beitaing Yi immediately inquired about the whereabouts of Prince Tang, who had been gone for half a month.

Shang Yu reported the circumstances of their separation in the desert, stating that he had used his power to portal Prince Tang to a safe place but had not seen him since. He emphasized the difficulty of tracing him in the windy desert and confirmed that neither his own men nor the imperial troops had found any trace of the prince, causing Beitaing Yi great concern.

Shang Yu also brought up the matter of the rectification of Ophiuchus's name, noting that since it hadn't been publicly announced, people still avoided Ophiuchus individuals. Beitaing Yi acknowledged this, explaining he was "waiting a best time and an important person" before making the proclamation. He then reiterated his command to Shang Yu: "No matter what the ways you have, just find back Prince Tang." At that moment, Mei Daren burst into the palace, frantically reporting, "Your Majesty!

Something bad happened! There's appeared mysterious monster in the city! The situation is up to our eyebrows." Back at the Constellation Health Institute, Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran were resting on their beds when Bilian burst in, angrily demanding, "What're you doing? Get up! Work or not?" A defiant Luo Feifei picked up a stone pestle, challenging Bilian, "You want to fight?" However, when Bilian commanded the palace servants to surround them, Luo Feifei immediately backed down.

She pretended to scold Xie Yanran, asking, "Xie Yanran, How dare you talk to Pharmacist Bilian like taht?" Bilian, unimpressed, kicked Luo Feifei. As Bilian raised her hand to strike, Luo Feifei swiftly acted first, "stroking" Bilian's face twice. Stunned, Bilian erupted in rage, ordering her servants to close the door and "Hit them! Hit them mercilessly!" A heated brawl ensued. Luo Feifei and Xie Yanran ultimately won the fight, tying up Bilian and her servants with ropes.

Luo Feifei was jubilant, asking Xie Yanran, "Cool?" to which Xie Yanran enthusiastically responded, "Yes! Really cool! I think it's cooler than become a Emperor." Inside the room, Luo Feifei, still ranting about Bilian and the Empress Dowager, boasted, "Bilian, I tell you, I can fix another ten sisters like you." Unbeknownst to her, the Empress Dowager had just arrived and was standing directly behind her. Thinking it was one of Bilian's allies, Luo Feifei casually challenged, "You wanna try?

I told you don't bother me!" and immediately executed an over-the-shoulder throw, sending the Empress Dowager crashing to the ground. The Empress Dowager, in pain and fury, promptly fainted. Predictably, Luo Feifei was once again sent to prison. Prince Chen visited the recovering Empress Dowager, who was still incensed by Luo Feifei's actions. Prince Chen, seizing the opportunity, feigned deep remorse, saying, "Mother, please don't say 'baby Princess'. I'm so regret!" The Empress Dowager, surprised, questioned, "Regret?

I thought you really like Luo Feifei?" Prince Chen explained that he had initially been impulsive, mistaking curiosity for genuine feeling because he found her personality "very different from the others" and "special." He now realized "there's nothing curious" about her. He then implored his mother to cancel their marriage before they wed.

The Empress Dowager, despite her dislike for Luo Feifei, remained rational, pointing out that she had already "announced everyone" and that canceling the marriage now would make the royal family look like a joke. Prince Chen then proposed a compromise: "Mother, We can postpone the marriage. When people are all forget it, then we cancel the marriage." The Empress Dowager, though still annoyed, agreed to his suggestion.

Episode 7 Recap

Xia Bing arrived with Tang Wang at a city in the Orion State, where she promptly left him. Tang Wang called out, reminding her she had promised to take responsibility for him, but Xia Bing merely told him to go away. Meanwhile, in the Zodiac State, ministers reported that what was initially thought to be a monster was, in fact, a severe pest plague. Black and red hard-shelled pests were everywhere, destroying fields and causing immense suffering among the people.

The infestation had spread from the fields into the city within days, leading to widespread rumors of strange omens and rampant monsters. The ministers explained that these pests destroyed everything in their path, leaving behind a thick, foul-smelling mucus. More terrifyingly, they were known to eat humans, instantly tearing apart anyone who fell into their midst, leaving little behind. When threatened, these pests would coalesce into a massive, fearsome creature known as Jixiong.

Responding to these dire reports, Beitang Yi commanded Mei Daren and Zhang Tianzheng to investigate the source of the pests. He also ordered General Chu Shengnan to lead elite troops into the city to protect the citizens and eliminate every pest they encountered. In the imperial prison, Xie Yanran arrived to rescue Luo Feifei. Their joy was short-lived as the Grand Empress Dowager unexpectedly appeared, locking them inside the cell and confiscating the key.

Just then, news reached the palace that Tang Wang had returned, greatly relieving Beitang Yi. Tang Wang, fatigued but recovering, was taken to rest before meeting His Majesty. Back in prison, Luo Feifei played cards with the jailers. They discussed the ongoing pest plague, and a jailer attempted to draw one of the creatures for Luo Feifei, but she couldn't identify it. Soon after, the very bugs they were discussing appeared inside the prison.

Luo Feifei immediately recognized them, exclaiming they were crayfish. Tang Wang, having recovered, reported to Beitang Yi that the Ophiuchus people’s poisoning was orchestrated by the Orion State. They had developed a mind-controlling poison to subjugate the Ophiuchus people, which served to divert attention from the Orion State, reduce their own risks and resource expenditure, and ultimately enable an internal strike against the Zodiac State.

Beitang Yi thanked Tang Wang for the crucial information, promising him an iron back elephant as a reward. As the pest plague intensified, none of the Twelve Star Lords could offer a viable solution, and people began to starve. Fearing a potential riot, Beitang Yi issued an order to open the granaries and distribute food, aiming to stabilize the populace and gain time to effectively solve the problem.

Tang Wang, now back in the palace, persistently pleaded with the Grand Empress Dowager to release Luo Feifei. Chen Wang subtly supported him, suggesting that Luo Feifei might be able to resolve the pest plague. The Grand Empress Dowager was already anxious about the crisis, especially as the pests had spread to her own Qingxin Palace.

Though initially hesitant about Luo Feifei, her resolve broke when palace staff frantically reported a massive infestation in Qingxin Palace, even presenting a foot-long crayfish. Terrified, the Grand Empress Dowager immediately ordered Luo Feifei's release. After her release, Luo Feifei learned from Xie Yanran that Tang Wang had been instrumental in her freedom. Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei then went to visit Tang Wang.

Beitang Yi brought a physician, but Tang Wang insisted he was fine and didn't need medical attention, finding the fuss troublesome. Luo Feifei gently reminded him that Beitang Yi was simply looking out for his well-being. Tang Wang then tried to elicit sympathy, leading Luo Feifei to offer him a comforting hug, but Beitang Yi intervened, pulling Tang Wang into a hug himself. Delighted by the abundance of crayfish spreading throughout the city, Luo Feifei promptly cooked three plates.

Both Chu Shengnan and Xie Yanran were apprehensive about trying them. Luo Feifei skillfully provoked Chu Shengnan, questioning her valor, until Chu Shengnan, though visibly nervous, finally picked up a crayfish. Beitang Yi observed the scene with a subtle smile. Soon after, the Emperor hosted a banquet, introducing crayfish as a new dish to his ministers. Their reactions varied greatly, with some relishing the taste, others staunchly refusing, and a few bravely taking the plunge.

Luo Feifei quickly capitalized on the situation, starting a crayfish business. Mei Daren grumbled that Luo Feifei refused to sell him the brand for her spicy crayfish for 400 C-coins. He was stunned when Su Xunxian revealed he had paid 40,000 C-coins for it. Across the city, crayfish became a popular delicacy, with citizens enthusiastically catching them. Even the Grand Empress Dowager was eager to enjoy the popular dish.

However, as she was about to eat, a young man named Wang Yan coldly reminded her that she was too engrossed in personal pleasure, forgetting the critical plans for their nation. He pointed out that the growing closeness between Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei was hindering the Orion State's strategy to sow discord between the Ophiuchus and Zodiac States.

He proposed a chilling plan: first, to kill Luo Feifei to cause Beitang Yi immense grief, and then to poison Beitang Yi and declare his death was due to depression. The Grand Empress Dowager, while acknowledging her grandson's unfortunate fate, did not fully align with the Orion State's extreme measures, given that Beitang Yi was her own flesh and blood. At that moment, Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei requested an audience. The Grand Empress Dowager initially refused, but Wang Yan, with an air of authority, publicly announced for Lord Luo to be ushered in.

Episode 8 Recap

Before the meeting with the Empress Dowager, Wangyan, still secretly conspiring, reiterates his plan to kill Luo Feifei first to grieve Beitang Yi, then poison the Emperor and claim he died of depression. Despite the Empress Dowager's initial refusal to see them, Wangyan ensures Luo Feifei is granted an audience. Luo Feifei, nervous, confides in Beitang Yi, expressing that this visit is different as she seeks to clear her people's name and allow Ophiuchus to live honorably in Zodiac State.

Beitang Yi reassures her, revealing a box containing the evidence to clear Ophiuchus: black pearls and white flowers which, when boiled together, form the poison that caused the Ophiuchus people to go mad. During the audience, Luo Feifei and Beitang Yi pay their respects to the Empress Dowager, who expresses suspicion over Luo Feifei's sudden, active presence.

Luo Feifei then presents the evidence regarding the poison brought by Prince Tang from Orion State, explaining it as the key to the Ophiuchus madness, and respectfully implores the Empress Dowager to reveal the truth and clear Ophiuchus's name. As she speaks, Wangyan, who had been hiding and listening, bursts out, attempting to foil the reveal by knocking over the box. However, the box is empty, a trap set by Beitang Yi.

With his scheme exposed, Wangyan attacks Luo Feifei, but Beitang Yi swiftly intervenes, saving her and ordering Wangyan's immediate imprisonment. With Ophiuchus's injustice finally cleared, Beitang Yi congratulates Luo Feifei, noting that the pest plague has also been solved and Prince Tang and Master Xi have returned safely. Xie Yanran asks Luo Feifei about her next plans. Luo Feifei, joyful from the successful redress, playfully asks Xie Yanran if the Queen's palace is large.

Beitang Yi, standing behind them, teases that someone has long coveted the Zodiac State Queen's position. Xie Yanran then excuses herself. Luo Feifei playfully compliments Beitang Yi's handsome appearance, expressing her desire to claim such an emperor, and suggests they "do some sports" when they return to the palace. Beitang Yi, misinterpreting her flirtatious hint, enthusiastically agrees to go running, much to Luo Feifei's disappointment.

In the imperial court, Beitang Yi formally announces the clearing of Ophiuchus's name and the reinstatement of their Constellation Lord. He then commends Beitang Tang and Shang Yu for their crucial role in uncovering the truth about Ophiuchus's madness, revealing Orion State's involvement in setting Ophiuchus up, and awards them ten thousand Constellation coins each. Beitang Tang humbly attributes their discovery to divine blessing.

Beitang Yi further explains that while Orion State is the Empress Dowager's homeland, she prioritizes Zodiac State. He clarifies that he chose to address the internal crises of madness and pestilence before retaliating against Orion State to prevent upheaval within the state. Later, as preparations for the succession ceremony progress, the court discusses contributions, agreeing that the wealthy will provide money and the strong will provide labor.

Ultimately, only Beitang Yi and Beitang Tang offer money, while the ministers pledge their labor. Mei Daren, meanwhile, laments the ceremony's escalating budget, blaming Luo Feifei for being a spendthrift, even suggesting Su Xunxian should cover the extra costs, which Su Xunxian protests, offering only his labor. Luo Feifei meets with her Ophiuchus people, who express their comfort in their current village life, having grown accustomed to past discriminations.

Luo Feifei reassures them that after the upcoming succession ceremony, their Constellation Lord will be fully restored, and they will enjoy equal standing with all other constellations, free from any past prejudices. Beitang Tang later gives Bai Wuchen a book titled "Seeking Flowers and Asking Willows," claiming his brother used it successfully to win Luo Feifei and hoping it helps Bai Wuchen win over Chu Shengnan.

The grand succession ceremony takes place that night, with a festive atmosphere, vibrant banners, and continuous music. Beitang Yi addresses the gathered crowd, declaring his wish for all thirteen constellations to remain united from this day forward, as only through their solidarity can the Zodiac State enjoy everlasting peace and happiness.

Following this, Luo Feifei, as the new Constellation Lord of Ophiuchus, stands with her people and pledges their loyalty to Beitang Yi and the populace, vowing to advance alongside the other twelve constellations to protect the state and ensure its prosperity. After her vow, Beitang Yi asks Luo Feifei if she has any words to share as the new Constellation Lord.

Luo Feifei, reverting to her cheerful self, launches into a speech that bewilders the audience, greeting everyone and declaring her intent to lead Ophiuchus in harmony with the twelve constellations, working together to plant trees, pave roads, and pursue higher GDP goals to improve people's living standards. Mei Daren wonders if she is casting spells. To further liven the atmosphere, Luo Feifei offers to sing, claiming to be a good vocalist fond of challenging songs.

However, she proceeds to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." Despite her unusual performance, Beitang Yi and the Prince of Chen gaze at her with deep affection. Amidst the ongoing festivities, Bai Wuchen subtly pulls Chu Shengnan aside and asks if he is her "little star," to which she playfully responds that he is a "little monkey." Gathering his courage, Bai Wuchen confesses his feelings, telling her he likes her.

Chu Shengnan, feigning not hearing clearly, asks him to repeat himself, but Bai Wuchen becomes shy and retracts his words. In response, Chu Shengnan leans in and kisses him, then affectionately embraces his shoulder, leaving Bai Wuchen beaming with unadulterated happiness.

Episode 9 Recap

After the grand ceremony, Luo Feifei strolled through the streets with Beitang Yi, still humming "Twinkle, twinkle, little star," marveling at the abundance of stars in the night sky. Beitang Yi sensed she held many secrets he was unaware of, and when he inquired, Luo Feifei expressed her longing for the 21st century. Beitang Yi then asked about a person she frequently mentioned, Jiacheng.

Luo Feifei launched into a lavish description, praising Jiacheng as an incredibly handsome, gentle, considerate, and talented individual, praising him as if he were heavenly. Beitang Yi observed her with a cold gaze. She recounted attending his concerts, prompting Beitang Yi to ask what a concert was. She explained it was a performance where a singer stands on stage while many people in the audience wave glittering fluorescent sticks, creating a beautiful, galaxy-like appearance.

Beitang Yi then asked if he resembled Jiacheng, to which Luo Feifei enthusiastically confirmed, admitting it sometimes made her feel as if Jiacheng was right there with her. She then confessed to missing him dearly, along with her father, phone, computer, and all aspects of her old life, including her friends who used to chase Jiacheng with her. She mused how jealous they would be to know she was with someone who looked like him.

Beitang Yi, seemingly annoyed by her continuous praise, pressed to know if Jiacheng was an emperor too. Luo Feifei brushed off the idea of Jiacheng being an emperor, reiterating his myriad talents in singing, dancing, and acting. Beitang Yi, clearly jealous, firmly told her to only mention him when they were together. As they walked to a pavilion in the center of the street, Beitang Yi held her and was about to kiss her in a 'punishing' manner.

However, a lip balm fell from Luo Feifei's hand and shattered. She picked it up, expressing her regret. Beitang Yi then took the lip balm, applied some to his own lips, appearing charming. Enticed, Luo Feifei immediately puckered her lips, allowing Beitang Yi to kiss her. Just then, a heavy rain began to fall. The officials who had been secretly following them, eager to witness their interaction, rushed to squeeze into the pavilion.

With a display of his powers, Beitang Yi froze the officials in the rain, leaving them drenched, while he and Luo Feifei continued to kiss uninhibited under the shelter. Nearby, Prince Chen stood alone under an umbrella, desolate and not far away, his eyes red. He closed them for a moment, and a single tear traced a path down his cheek.

Later, back in the palace bedchamber, Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei continued their affectionate exchange, gazing deeply into each other's eyes. However, despite Luo Feifei's repeated hints and suggestions, no further intimacy occurred; they simply lay there all night. Frustrated, Luo Feifei inadvertently discovered a book titled "Sex Encyclopedia" under Beitang Yi's pillow. (The subtitles showed a moral text, hinting at comedic irony.

) When Beitang Yi tried to retrieve it, Luo Feifei challenged him, lifting her face and demanding a kiss. Beitang Yi immediately suffered a nosebleed, with blood streaming from both nostrils. Meanwhile, another couple was sharing a sweet moment: Bai Wuchen, a teacher, and General Chu Shengnan, on patrol, exchanged an orange, with Bai Wuchen drawing a smiling face on it with a brush, and Chu Shengnan carving an emoji with a knife.

Their interactions made Bai Wuchen's pageboy, Shang Yu, incredibly envious. Luo Feifei was visibly distressed, deeply troubled that nothing had happened between her and Beitang Yi despite sharing a bed all night. She was so distressed that she even wondered if she had become unattractive. She confided in Beitang Yi, who reassured her that she was not ugly.

She then lamented about their stagnant relationship, questioning if there was something wrong with Beitang Yi's mind or physical health, even offering her medical expertise to cure any ailment. Beitang Yi, finding her long face puzzling after the recent clearing of Ophiuchus's name and her ascension to Star Lord, urged her to be happier.

Luo Feifei revealed her deeper concern: while the wedding date with Prince Chen had been postponed after Prince Chen's discussion with the Grandma-Empress, the matter remained unresolved and had been dragging on. She worried the Grandma-Empress might change her mind. After some thought, Luo Feifei proposed a drastic solution: to have Beitang Yi's baby first. She reasoned that if she presented the Grandma-Empress with a great-grandson, the elder would surely not harm either her great-grandson or herself.

Beitang Yi seemed taken aback by her unconventional strategy. Shang Yu, witnessing Bai Wuchen's budding romance, became curious about love and sought out Su Xunxian, asking to be taken to "gain experience." Su Xunxian, in good spirits, agreed, promising to broaden Shang Yu's horizons that very night, but only after Shang Yu carefully read chapters one to five of the "Sex Encyclopedia."

Elsewhere, Mei Daren, ever the miser, tried to borrow money from Luo Feifei, who, after some humorous banter about the nature of friendship and money, deflected him by giving him a facial mask formula, assuring him he could make a fortune selling it. Grateful, Mei Daren asked how he could repay her.

Luo Feifei seized the opportunity to enlist his help in a scheme: he was to hide under the desk and pretend to be a hooligan, prompting Beitang Yi (referred to as Dragon Egg) to rescue her, after which, she implied, intimacy would naturally follow. Soon after, Beitang Yi arrived, asking if she was looking for him. Luo Feifei, ready for the plan, waited for Mei Daren to make his move, but nothing happened.

It turned out Mei Daren had fallen asleep under the desk. Luo Feifei discreetly nudged him awake, and upon waking, Mei Daren sprang out, startling Beitang Yi, who then proceeded to give Mei Daren a sound beating. Mei Daren fled, running with the table on his head. Later that evening, Su Xunxian took Shang Yu to Hongluan Brothels to broaden his horizons. The madam, Yuanniang, commented on Shang Yu's delicate appearance.

Shang Yu, having read about courtesans in the "Sex Encyclopedia," expressed his desire to meet the best courtesan. Yuanniang and Su Xunxian explained that meeting the top courtesan (Hua Kui Xian) required not only skill in poetry and couplets but also a significant amount of money, which Shang Yu, as a mere attendant, lacked. Shang Yu, knowing Su Xunxian owned the establishment, cleverly asked for free entry.

Su Xunxian playfully chided him for learning impoliteness, much like Beitang Yi, but ultimately agreed to let Yuanniang take him to meet the courtesan. Meanwhile, under the night moon, Tang Wang lay in the courtyard, a gentle smile playing on his lips as he reminisced about every bit of time he spent with Xia Bing.

Episode 10 Recap

The Emperor, Beitang Yi, dismissed his attendants and then urgently commanded that Luo Feifei be summoned to the palace immediately for an important consultation. Upon her arrival, Luo Feifei, the Constellation Lord of Ophiuchus, greeted him, pointedly asking why she had been summoned so suddenly, as she had been having fun with Master Mei, who she now considered her best girlfriend.

Beitang Yi struggled to articulate the reason, which Luo Feifei quickly realized was merely a pretext for him to see her. Internally pleased, she boldly sat on his dragon desk and flirtatiously cast a book he was holding onto the floor. Beitang Yi exclaimed that it was Mr. Ouyang's last words and could not be treated so carelessly. Luo Feifei, suppressing her annoyance, persisted in her playful attempts to engage him.

Since he had interrupted her fun, she suggested they play cards. She proposed a game where the winner could draw a small turtle anywhere on the loser's body, emphasizing the "anywhere" part. Beitang Yi agreed to the terms. Meanwhile, in Qingxin Palace, palace maids discovered a black pearl while cleaning. Pharmacist Bilian covertly took the pearl, expressing surprise that it could be found there. Later, Beitang Yi won their card game, yet Luo Feifei was surprisingly happy for him.

She urged him to draw the turtle, again hinting that he could choose any part of her body. However, Beitang Yi, adhering to propriety, simply drew a turtle on her face. As night fell, a palace maid prepared to deliver a bowl of porridge, ordered by the Emperor for Luo Feifei. Bilian intercepted her, offering to deliver it herself since she was going to see His Majesty anyway.

Bilian secretly poisoned the porridge with the black pearl before returning it to the maid. When the maid brought the porridge to the Emperor's chambers, Luo Feifei tried to hide her turtle-drawn face with a playing card, but the maid glimpsed it and couldn't help but laugh, causing Luo Feifei to leave in a huff. Unbeknownst to them, the Emperor then took a bite of the contaminated porridge.

Later, Prince Chen and General Chu reported to Beitang Yi that new "crazies" had appeared in the city. They noted that these new infected individuals exhibited far greater speed and strength than the previous Ophiuchus crazies, and most alarmingly, no one knew how they were being infected. Prince Chen, known for his vast knowledge, recalled that the Chronicle of Xingyao mentioned people from the Orion State were skilled at using the Xun instrument to control human behavior.

Considering this alongside Beitang Tang's previous encounter where people were controlled by sound, Prince Chen suspected the Orion State was using Xun music in combination with medicine to create a new, widespread method of human-to-human infection. Prince Chen recalled Beitang Tang's account that those who had abducted Xifeng Lie had indeed used sound to control others.

Beitang Yi acknowledged the severity of the situation, ordering General Chu to immediately investigate and find the source of the infection to prevent further disaster. Separately, Yuanniang led Shang Yu into a room with several curtains, explaining that a beauty was behind each one. Shang Yu would answer three questions correctly, eliminating one hand each time, until only the best courtesan, Huakui Xian, remained.

Shang Yu correctly answered all three riddles, but to his dismay, the Huakui Xian revealed himself to be Su Xunxian. Back in the palace, as Beitang Yi continued to discuss the crazy epidemic with Prince Chen and General Chu, he suddenly broke into a cold sweat and collapsed. Prince Chen quickly realized these were the early symptoms of the crazy disease.

Before losing full consciousness, Beitang Yi urgently instructed Prince Chen to tie him up to prevent him from harming others. Prince Chen, though distraught, complied. When Luo Feifei rushed in, she immediately used her powers to examine Beitang Yi, discovering the poison was deeply entrenched, and its power was something she struggled to counteract. Prince Chen then left to report to the Empress Dowager. The Empress Dowager sent Bilian to attend to the Emperor.

Luo Feifei vehemently objected, refusing to let Bilian near Beitang Yi. She was well aware of Bilian's dubious medical skills and feared that any misstep would worsen the Emperor's condition. Bilian, however, haughtily brandished the Empress Dowager's decree to intimidate Luo Feifei and Beitang Tang. Beitang Tang, disgusted by Bilian's arrogance, unleashed his princely authority, warning her that he could execute her on the spot and bear the responsibility. Ultimately, Luo Feifei intervened, restraining Beitang Tang.

She reluctantly agreed to leave, but only on the strict condition that Bilian touch nothing except the cooling cloths for the Emperor. Bilian, dismissive, clearly had no intention of adhering to this. As Luo Feifei exited, she menacingly warned Bilian that if she dared to mess around, she would suffer a fate worse than death. Just then, Prince Chen returned, accompanied by Shang Yu and Chongchong, explaining that the rest of the Ophiuchus clan would arrive in another hour.

Luo Feifei noted she had already slowed the poison's spread and would use her powers again at the Taurus o'clock. She expressed concern over the growing number of infected servants in the palace and the chaos outside the city, recognizing the urgent need to find the source of the hidden infection. Shang Yu, at Luo Feifei's command, vowed to mobilize everyone, including birds and insects, to investigate. Chongchong offered to help too, knowing all the city's hidden passages. Luo Feifei instructed them to report any findings directly to her.

Episode 11 Recap

Beitang Moran issued a decree to prioritize finding the source of the widespread crazies disease, dispatching various forces to aid in the search while he himself ventured into the infected areas. General Chu and Master Bai investigated the infected zones, finding that the food was safe and livestock unaffected, indicating the disease only impacted humans.

At the same time, Chongchong utilized secret tunnels to gather information, Su Xunxian deployed birds, insects, and mythical creatures to uncover the disaster's cause, and Shang Yu covertly scoured the city. Beitang Moran, the Great Prince, with his power of Constellation Initiation and his own beauty, accurately predicted the next outbreak area, allowing troops to swiftly contain it, thus stabilizing the state temporarily.

Based on various clues, including the first infected person rarely leaving home and recent infections of Zhang Tianzheng and Mei Daren while at home, Luo Feifei suspected the water supply. Her theory gained traction when she recalled Zhang Tianzheng's habit of boiling eggs with water from the well guarded by Tianxingbao Pavilion, and Mei Daren's subsequent infection just days after winning a month's supply of these well-water eggs from a bet with Zhang Tianzheng.

Convinced the water was the culprit, Luo Feifei offered to test it herself. However, Beitang Moran adamantly refused, asserting his own greater power and the potential for Luo Feifei's unique abilities to react with the poison, thereby confusing the test results. He insisted on undertaking the dangerous task himself, believing his body could slowly expel the poison even if infected. As Beitang Moran prepared to bathe in the potentially contaminated well water, Xie Yanran arrived.

She directly questioned if his willingness to risk infection stemmed from his concern for Luo Feifei, despite knowing Feifei harbored feelings for another. Beitang Moran confirmed her observation. Xie Yanran, expressing her understanding and admiration for his choice, then claimed Luo Feifei had found a new treatment method for the crazies disease, urging him to go and check. Once Beitang Moran had departed, Xie Yanran's tears fell as she stepped into the bath, taking his place.

Beitang Moran rushed to Luo Feifei, only to find she had made no new discoveries. Realizing Xie Yanran's true intent, he hurried back to the bathing chamber. He quickly opened and then closed the curtain, seeing Xie Yanran already in the tub. Luo Feifei followed him in, but Xie Yanran persuaded them both to leave, emphasizing that Luo Feifei had taught her to be proactive in love.

Through the curtain, a tearful Xie Yanran reflected on how she used to secretly watch him bathe, and now, by testing the poison for him, they were even. She confessed her unrequited love for Beitang Moran, which she had harbored for ten years, fearing that if she did not speak now, she might never get the chance. Her voice then trailed off, prompting Beitang Moran to call out to her.

Receiving no response, he quickly entered the chamber and found Xie Yanran unconscious in the bath. Meanwhile, as it approached the Taurus o'clock, Luo Feifei suddenly remembered Beitang Yi and rushed to his quarters, where Bilian was still present. Bilian had untied the ropes and buttons securing Beitang Yi and was attempting to undress him, despite his resistance.

As she tried to force him to rest, Beitang Yi suffered a violent relapse of the crazies disease, prompting Bilian to cry for help. Tang Wang burst in and quickly knocked Beitang Yi unconscious. Enraged, Luo Feifei slapped Bilian twice, reprimanding her for exacerbating Beitang Yi's condition and accelerating the poison's spread by untying him. Tang Wang ordered Bilian's execution, but Bilian invoked the Grand Empress Dowager's name as protection.

Luo Feifei warned Bilian that any harm to Beitang Yi would result in her certain death. Later, Xie Yanran also succumbed to the disease, but Chongchong managed to stabilize her condition. Chongchong then revealed her major discovery: the source of the virus was the bath water. The poison, colorless and tasteless due to dilution, entered the body through the skin and reacted with the blood, causing mutation after a period of accumulation.

Chongchong recalled a specific herbal remedy her grandfather used to cure those infected through skin exposure without internal organ damage: 150 grams of Sweet Dream fruit, 25 grams of Lucky grass, and 5 grams of citrus powder, to be made into a pill. This medicine, she explained, would cause patients to sweat, purge, or vomit, thereby expelling the toxins.

However, she noted that this specific remedy would not work for Beitang Yi, whose condition required a different approach, only curable by their clansmen. Beitang Moran carefully administered the antidote to Xie Yanran, who soon regained consciousness. Just then, an emergency at the Constellation Palace demanded his immediate attention, and he departed. Luo Feifei once again secured Beitang Yi with ropes, her eyes filled with tears as she watched him.

In a sudden fit of rage, Beitang Yi bit Luo Feifei's shoulder, drawing blood. Despite the injury, Luo Feifei held onto him tightly. Xie Yanran, still weakened from her illness, arrived and observed a surprising phenomenon: Beitang Yi's poison appeared to be gradually receding. The reason for this unexpected recovery was Luo Feifei's blood.

Episode 12 Recap

The poison in Bei Tangyi’s body began to recede, and it was discovered that Luo Feifei’s blood was responsible, as human blood is resistant to viruses. However, before anyone could celebrate, Bei Tangyi's condition worsened again. Chongchong explained that the small amount of blood was merely a temporary measure and not a true cure.

To save Bei Tangyi, Luo Feifei’s blood would need to be completely exchanged with his, a long-lost ancient method that Chongchong did not know how to perform. Luo Feifei immediately decided to find a way, instructing someone to summon Bai Wuchen, declaring she had a way to save Bei Tangyi (Dragon Egg). Prince Chen approached a wounded Luo Feifei, asking about her injury and suggesting she treat it.

Luo Feifei, anxious about Bei Tangyi, impatiently dismissed his concerns, telling him to leave her wound alone, a tone she did not realize hurt Prince Chen. Xie Yanran, observing from a distance, looked on sadly at Prince Chen. Luo Feifei then directly addressed Bai Wuchen, asking if his power was indeed energy transfer. Bai Wuchen confirmed his power, and Luo Feifei declared her intention to proceed with the blood exchange.

Prince Chen demanded to know her plan, which someone else quickly surmised was for her to exchange blood with Bei Tangyi. Everyone vehemently opposed, citing the risk and the lost nature of the technique. Luo Feifei, however, trusted Bai Wuchen and was resolute. Prince Chen insisted that he, as Bei Tangyi's uncle and subject, should take the risk instead, and Prince Tang also volunteered.

Luo Feifei firmly stated that only her special constitution would allow for the exchange without immediate grave danger, and even if she were affected, her clan members could help. She then ordered everyone except Bai Wuchen to leave the room.

Chongchong expressed deep concern, reminding Luo Feifei that with their grandfather gone, she was her only family, but Luo Feifei reassured her that she would be fine and urged them all to leave, asking if they wanted to save Bei Tangyi or not. Outside, Prince Chen received updates: Master Su had purchased all the medicine in Zodiac State and engaged hundreds of doctors to create antidotes, which Masters Shang and Xi had taken to the infected zone.

Master Fang was also leading the army to maintain order there. Despite being urged to wait, Prince Chen decided to go to the infected zone himself. Luo Feifei lay on the bed, her hands clasped with Bei Tangyi's, as Bai Wuchen began to perform the blood exchange. Despite the immense strain, Luo Feifei affirmed she could hold on, and the process continued.

Eventually, Bai Wuchen confirmed that the poison in Bei Tangyi's body had been neutralized and he needed careful rest. When asked about Luo Feifei, Bai Wuchen assured everyone that she was merely exhausted, having carried all the poison, but was otherwise fine and just needed rest. Prince Tang, relieved, then urged Bai Wuchen to rest as well.

Xie Yanran, who had waited anxiously for a day, finally felt relieved upon hearing the news, almost fainting from exhaustion before being supported by a servant. Before being taken home to rest, she specifically asked Prince Tang to inform Prince Chen that both Bei Tangyi and Luo Feifei were well, knowing that despite his calm demeanor, he was deeply worried. When Prince Chen arrived, he indeed breathed a sigh of relief upon learning they were both fine.

Prince Tang then mentioned Xie Yanran, explaining that she hadn't fully recovered from her previous illness but had stayed to wait for their healing before leaving. Just then, the Serpent Star people arrived, whom Prince Tang had arranged to treat the patients and check on Bei Tangyi and Luo Feifei. The next morning, Bei Tangyi awoke and immediately noticed Luo Feifei still unconscious beside him.

He urgently summoned a doctor, who, after examination, reported that Luo Feifei was simply suffering from extreme exhaustion and residual poison, but was otherwise not in serious danger, just needed rest. Meanwhile, star lords were waiting outside to see Bei Tangyi. He went out to meet them and received positive updates: the plague had been controlled in the city's affected zones, the cure distributed, and the disease of madness outside the city was also under control.

Master Fang was investigating the source of the disease, which some suspected was intentionally caused. However, the star lords noted that despite being out of danger, many citizens were still displaced. They urged Bei Tangyi to convene an emergency meeting with all star lords. Xie Yanran volunteered to stay and look after Luo Feifei. While attending to Luo Feifei, Xie Yanran discovered that Luo Feifei was feigning unconsciousness.

After threatening the servants to ensure privacy, Luo Feifei revealed her discomfort with the constant "care" and her true motive: she wanted Xie Yanran's help to trick Bei Tangyi into coming to her and expressing his affections more directly. She desired simple declarations like "I like you" or "I love you," rather than poetic phrases. Xie Yanran agreed to help, having methods to make a man speak romantically.

She then confided in Luo Feifei her own decision: she had realized her unrequited feelings for Prince Chen were solely her own and that he had always treated her like a sister. Feeling exhausted by this, Xie Yanran planned to leave in a couple of days to explore the outside world, hoping to shed her identity as a lady and find her true self.

Luo Feifei grew teary-eyed, sad to see her leave, but Xie Yanran promised to help her with everything before she went, calling her her best sister and promising to return. The severe plague of madness that had swept through the Zodiac State was finally brought under control. It was largely acknowledged that the cure was found thanks to Luo Feifei, who had risked her life to save the emperor and deterred the dangerous spread of the disease.

Furthermore, the emperor's own recovery was a direct result of Luo Feifei exchanging her blood with him. Many recognized her as their savior, despite her often childish and illogical behavior. Xi Fenglie confirmed that his own lingering effects from the disease were now gone, crediting Luo Feifei. As Luo Feifei remained unconscious due to exhaustion, Bei Tangyi immediately ordered Master Mei Daren to procure precious ginseng and glossy ganoderma from the national treasury for her recovery.

Mei Daren, despite lamenting the state's empty coffers and even complaining about Bei Tangyi trying to extract money from him as the third wealthiest man, begrudgingly agreed, urged by Bei Tangyi who declared that Luo Feifei, as their savior, deserved all possible efforts for her recovery, regardless of cost.

Episode 13 Recap

Xie Yanran, breathless, burst into Beitang Yi's council hall, crying out that something was wrong with Luo Feifei. Fearing the worst, Beitang Yi's expression changed, and he rushed out, with the others following closely. Xie Yanran quickly shut the doors behind them, then clarified that Luo Feifei was fine; she had just played a prank to strengthen her bond with the Emperor. Hearing this, Chen Wang's attempts to hide his sadness failed.

Xie Yanran then realized she had spoken too freely. Everyone gathered in Luo Feifei's chamber, offering suggestions to rouse her from her feigned unconsciousness. Mei Daren proposed hitting her with force, believing pain could bring clarity. Chu Shengnan suggested splashing a basin of water on her, much like military interrogations, asserting it would surely wake her. Tang Wang offered to tickle her feet with a feather, as stimulating the nerves there would definitely work.

Luo Feifei, however, remained still, enduring their efforts. Xie Yanran finally got a chance to speak, suggesting that Beitang Yi whisper romantic words to wake her spirit first, and then her person. Beitang Yi admitted he couldn't, but under everyone's urging, he reluctantly agreed. The others then exited, leaving Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei alone. Beitang Yi tried several times to speak but couldn't.

He suddenly remembered the story Luo Feifei once told him about Snow White and Prince Charming: the prince kissed Snow White on the lips, and she immediately woke up. Beitang Yi leaned down and kissed Luo Feifei's lips, and she instantly opened her eyes. Waking up, Luo Feifei didn't spare those who had offered "bad" advice, immediately seeking them out for payback, filling the sleeping quarters with laughter.

Luo Feifei confronted Mei Daren, who had suggested hitting her with force, and also challenged Chu Shengnan, who had suggested pouring water on her face. To Mei Daren, Luo Feifei demanded the most luxurious food and clothing, including thousand-year-old sea cucumber, glossy ganoderma, and ginseng for her daily meals, stating she was recovering and needed nutrition. Mei Daren reluctantly agreed.

As night fell, Su Xunxian and Mei Daren, among others, were drinking heartily, yet a sense of melancholy hung over them, especially Su Xunxian. He lamented Chen Wang's impending departure, remarking on the rarity of a true confidant and the prospect of drinking alone. In the main hall, Beitang Yi announced to his ministers that investigations had confirmed the recent incidents in the city were the work of the Orion State. He declared his decision to launch a full-scale attack.

Upon receiving this news, the Orion Emperor was displeased. The strength of Huangdao Kingdom was not to be underestimated, and war at this moment was not ideal. Fortunately, their State Preceptor had been undercover in Huangdao for many years. The Emperor believed that with the State Preceptor's wisdom, combined with Da Xiao Quan's combat skills, they could overcome the danger.

He dispatched Da Xiao Quan and Xia Bing to Huangdao, instructing them to follow the State Preceptor's orders and provide assistance. Da Xiao Quan and Xia Bing arrived in Huangdao, coincidentally passing Chu Shengnan and Xi Fenglie, who were on patrol. Xi Fenglie suddenly called out "Stop!" recognizing the two. A confrontation nearly escalated, but both sides, wary of drawing too much attention, retreated from the brink of conflict.

Later, the Grand Empress Dowager inquired which of her two grandsons would be willing to marry the daughter of the Orion. Both Beitang Yi and his brother initially showed reluctance. The Grand Empress Dowager then introduced Princess Xia Bing. Seeing Xia Bing, Beitang Tang's eyes lit up, and he immediately stepped forward, declaring his willingness to accept the marriage alliance for the sake of peace and to strengthen ties between the nations, allowing his brother to focus on state affairs.

The Grand Empress Dowager was overjoyed by his patriotism. At a pavilion by the water, Xie Yanran met with Chen Wang to bid him farewell. She had decided to travel extensively, convinced that such a journey would help her rediscover herself and find answers to her questions. Chen Wang nodded in agreement, mentioning his own recent desire to visit Wuxian State, where he heard there were fine wines that could help one forget worries.

He promised to bring her back some bottles upon her return, so they could drink until thoroughly drunk. Seeing Chen Wang's gentle smile, Xie Yanran suddenly embraced him, offered him her best wishes, and then vanished using her invisibility power. Luo Feifei was saddened by Xie Yanran's decision to leave for travel and study. Beitang Yi, preoccupied with state affairs, offered her a brief consolation. Still feeling unhappy, Luo Feifei's mood did not improve until Beitang Yi kissed her.

Noticing he was still absorbed in his work, Luo Feifei said she would return to her own chambers. Beitang Yi simply agreed. This displeased Luo Feifei greatly, and she took the opportunity to instruct him on how a man should properly retain a woman, telling him he should say he would stop working and stay with her, because she was more important. Beitang Yi, in response, followed her instructions, which delighted Luo Feifei.

She then declared she wouldn't leave after all and settled down to sleep in Beitang Yi's palace. She also excitedly told Beitang Yi about her plan to demand luxurious food from Mei Daren, recounting how Mei Daren had tried to hide a glossy ganoderma from her earlier, only for Dali to retrieve it, angering Mei Daren.

Episode 14 Recap

Luo Feifei playfully bounced on Beitang Yi's bed, recounting a story about chasing Meimei for a glossy ganoderma, causing the bed to collapse beneath them. Beitang Yi teased her about her weight, blaming her for the bed's demise, but Luo Feifei insisted it was merely slight edema. He then told her to sleep there for the night while he returned to examining memorials. Meanwhile, Chu Shengnan heard the commotion and scream, moving to investigate.

Bai Wuchen, however, stopped her, cryptically stating that Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei were "busy." When Chu Shengnan pressed for a clearer explanation, Bai Wuchen revealed they were "doing their business" and, with some hesitation, suggested they might do the same. Despite her initial embarrassment, Chu Shengnan agreed. Their location then shifted from the garden to their bedchamber. Once alone, Bai Wuchen admitted it was his first time and seemed nervous, but Chu Shengnan took the initiative, ensuring their privacy.

Elsewhere, Beitang Moran and Su Xunxian met by a pavilion, accompanied by guqin music. Su Xunxian acknowledged Beitang Moran's impending departure, wishing him a safe journey and a life free of worries. Beitang Moran expressed his admiration for Su Xunxian, seeing him as someone who, despite appearing simple, possessed profound insight into the world. Su Xunxian humbly disagreed, considering himself merely a fool content to indulge in certain dreams while others sought to awaken from them.

He promised to await Beitang Moran's return so they could share a drink again. In the council hall, Beitang Yi addressed his ministers, discussing two matters. First, he spoke of recent tensions with the Orion state. Though he had considered military action, the Empress Dowager had insisted on a peaceful resolution through a proposed marriage alliance. Secondly, he turned to Luo Feifei, noting that since her succession as the Lord of Ophiuchus, she had not received proper recognition.

As he was not yet married and needed someone to manage the imperial harem, he intended to honor her. Luo Feifei, initially delighted and willing to accept any title, grew visibly upset when Beitang Yi declared her a first-level female official. Beitang Tang called Xia Bing to the courtyard, directly questioning her true purpose for the proposed marriage alliance.

He stated that while she was free to take his life, he would not allow her to harm his brother, Beitang Yi, or Luo Feifei. Xia Bing assured him that if she had wished him dead, he would have perished in the desert long ago. She clarified that her presence was solely to secure peace for her people. Satisfied, Beitang Tang grasped her hand, stating his trust in her.

Luo Feifei later expressed her strong dislike for her new position as a female official, complaining about the endless trivial matters involving other women. She confessed to Beitang Yi that she had hoped he would propose marriage that morning, believing being an Empress meant simply eating and sleeping. Beitang Yi reprimanded her naivety, explaining that an Empress would have far more responsibilities and people to manage.

Soon after, as Luo Feifei was teaching palace maids to make cosmetics, Beitang Tang arrived. Luo Feifei, seizing the opportunity, playfully demanded he help with the strenuous tasks, compelling him to bring others to assist. With their combined efforts and use of their powers, Luo Feifei successfully created perfume. Afterwards, understanding Beitang Tang's anxieties about his upcoming date, she presented him with a box of lipstick, assuring him it would win the girl over.

Beitang Tang eagerly brought the lipstick and an array of other gifts, including fine liquor and royal dishes, to Xia Bing's room. He excitedly presented the lipstick, demonstrating its application. Recalling how Beitang Yi had applied lipstick and kissed Luo Feifei, Beitang Tang awkwardly applied it to his own lips, resulting in a 'sausage mouth,' before leaning in to kiss Xia Bing. She playfully punched him, causing his nose to bleed.

Despite the minor injury, they both found humor in the situation and laughed. Suddenly, Luo Feifei rushed to the Empress Dowager, frantically claiming something was terribly wrong and that Beitang Yi could not be woken. Alarmed, the Empress Dowager hurried to Beitang Yi's bedchamber. Luo Feifei then fabricated an elaborate story, asserting that Beitang Yi was haunted and had been repeatedly calling out a woman's name, "Xiaohong," for the past two days.

The Empress Dowager, startled, recognized "Xiaohong" as her own maiden name, leading her to suspect it might be the spirit of the former Emperor. As the Empress Dowager pondered this, Beitang Yi awoke and looked at Luo Feifei with confusion. Luo Feifei subtly signaled for him to lie back down, but the Empress Dowager noticed. Just as the Empress Dowager was about to demand an explanation, Beitang Yi, adopting the persona of the former Emperor, began speaking. He solemnly instructed her that Beitang Yi's marriage should be prioritized. Convinced that her late husband's spirit had possessed Beitang Yi, the Empress Dowager tearfully embraced him.

Episode 15 Recap

Bilian approaches the Grand Empress Dowager, strongly advising against His Majesty's marriage to Luo Feifei. The Grand Empress Dowager, aware of Bilian's motives, expresses her disappointment, stating that she gave Bilian a chance but was let down. Bilian defends her stance, claiming her concern is not for herself but for Luo Feifei, whom she describes as "too restless" and a potential source of future troubles.

Despite being dismissed, Bilian boldly reminds the Grand Empress Dowager of their mother country's mission, implying she might have forgotten it. She emphasizes that the growing unity between His Majesty and the Lords could shake the foundation of the Zodiac and prevent their plan to replace it. The Grand Empress Dowager sarcastically remarks on Bilian's increasing boldness in teaching her how to handle affairs, to which Bilian humbly insists she would never dare to advise. Bilian then departs.

Meanwhile, Beitang Yi inquires about his precious cottonrose hibiscus, which he is cultivating for Luo Feifei. Dehai informs him the flowers are not yet in full bloom but are healthy. Still concerned, Beitang Yi decides to inspect them himself. Elsewhere, Luo Feifei is with Beitang Tang near the flowers. Beitang Tang suggests they leave the palace for some fun, but Luo Feifei declines, fearing the Grand Empress Dowager's disapproval, especially since she is about to marry "Dragon Egg" (Beitang Yi).

They decide to simply walk around. During their stroll, Luo Feifei discovers the unique seven-treasure cottonrose hibiscus growing on a rock. Finding it unremarkable, she plucks it to smell. Just then, Beitang Yi arrives and is furious to see his prized flower broken. Luo Feifei immediately blames Beitang Tang, claiming he praised its smell and then broke it despite her warnings.

Beitang Tang, present at the scene, later accepts being the scapegoat, lamenting that he is always forced into that role for Luo Feifei. Beitang Yi, frustrated, walks away. Luo Feifei chases after Beitang Yi, calling out to him. Beitang Yi stops, revealing he knew all along that she was the one who plucked the flower, noting Beitang Tang's disinterest in plants.

He explains that he put immense effort into cultivating the flower because he intended to give it to her on their wedding day. Relieved and touched, Luo Feifei playfully scolds him for being upset over a flower, reminding him of her efforts to secure their marriage, even visiting the Grand Empress Dowager herself. As they embrace affectionately, Bilian, hidden nearby, shoots a poisoned dart at Luo Feifei.

Beitang Yi swiftly catches the dart and throws it back, striking Bilian, who immediately begins to foam at the mouth from the poison. Beitang Yi notices a distinct pattern on Bilian's body but Luo Feifei quickly intervenes, preventing him from examining it further by using her powers to make it disappear.

Afterward, Beitang Yi advises Luo Feifei to visit the Grand Empress Dowager less frequently, hinting that while Bilian might be connected to her, the Grand Empress Dowager may not be fully aware of Bilian's actions. Luo Feifei, still playful, agrees and asks Beitang Yi to summon Su Xunxian and Shang Yu for her the next day. The next day, Beitang Tang visits Luo Feifei, expressing concern over the assassination attempt. Luo Feifei downplays it, noting she's used to such incidents.

Beitang Tang informs her that Bilian has died and his brother is handling the funeral. Luo Feifei then joins Su Xunxian, Beitang Tang, and Shang Yu, whom she had invited. She asks about Chu Shengnan's whereabouts. Su Xunxian explains that Chu Shengnan has been feeling unwell, experiencing nausea and craving sour foods. Beitang Tang, understanding the implications, chuckles and initially teases Su Xunxian for his naivety.

Bai Wuchen, overhearing their conversation, suddenly realizes the truth about Chu Shengnan's condition and rushes off. Beitang Tang then openly confirms that Chu Shengnan is pregnant. Luo Feifei gathers everyone to make dumplings. She explains that the dumpling skin is uniquely made from fish mixed with flour, describing them as "delicious food." She instructs them on making the stuffing and playfully demands they make a thousand dumplings.

Beitang Tang initially objects to the laborious task, but he then volunteers to do all the physical work. Su Xunxian takes pride in his newfound "swordsmanship" for chopping ingredients. After the dumplings are prepared, Luo Feifei takes a portion to the Grand Empress Dowager's chambers. Beitang Yi, learning of her visit, rushes there as well. Meanwhile, Beitang Tang is on his way to deliver some of the newly made dumplings to Xia Bing.

As Xia Bing walks along a corridor, Beitang Tang playfully sneaks up and taps her. Startled, Xia Bing instinctively pulls out a knife, lightly cutting his neck. Beitang Tang immediately feigns severe injury and dizziness, but Xia Bing quickly sees through his act and they share a laugh. Beitang Tang then transitions to a more serious tone, expressing his past anger towards Xia Bing and Shang Yu upon learning they were from the Orion.

Xia Bing quickly placates him, reassuring him. He then offers her the dumplings, praising Luo Feifei's culinary skills and explaining that the special vinegar dipping sauce was made from Su Xunxian's Chinese wine with added garlic. Luo Feifei arrives at the Grand Empress Dowager's chamber, bringing the dumplings. Their relationship seems to have improved. Luo Feifei boldly admits to the Grand Empress Dowager that she knows she is from the Orion, having seen the pattern on Bilian.

She states she is not afraid and genuinely wants to foster a good relationship with her, as she is Beitang Yi's grandmother. The Grand Empress Dowager concedes that she has always harbored hatred for Ophiuchus but has also harbored doubts about her own country, Orion. The Grand Empress Dowager tastes the dumplings and expresses delight, remarking that she hasn't eaten such comfortable food in a long time.

However, she soon tastes fish, and Luo Feifei confirms that the dumpling skin is indeed made from fish. To Luo Feifei's surprise, the Grand Empress Dowager is severely allergic to fish and quickly faints after consuming only one dumpling. Luo Feifei, startled, calls for help, claiming she was unaware of the allergy. In the assembly hall, as Emperor Beitang Yi addresses his ministers, Chu Shengnan is repeatedly overcome by nausea.

Initially annoyed, Beitang Yi soon realizes that Chu Shengnan is pregnant. A minister asks about the father, and Beitang Yi quickly silences everyone, insisting they keep the news secret to avoid ridicule. However, another minister remarks that Chu Shengnan's loud retching has already made the news public.

Episode 16 Recap

During a council meeting, it became apparent that Chu Shengnan was pregnant. When pressed about the father, Bai Wuchen instinctively moved to raise his hand but was forcibly restrained by Chu Shengnan, who vehemently denied the pregnancy and threatened everyone present to keep the matter secret to avoid public ridicule. Her highly agitated reactions, however, only served to make the truth obvious to all.

A minister then suggested that the most appropriate course of action would be for the Emperor to bestow a marriage decree. Beitang Tang even proposed a grand six-person wedding. While the involved parties seemed joyful about their impending unions, Su Xunxian felt a growing sense of unease, believing something significant was about to happen. Meanwhile, the Grandma-Empress visited Wangyan in prison, strictly instructing the guards not to speak of her visit to anyone, fearing rumors and unnecessary trouble.

Once alone with Wangyan, she confessed that her heart had been restless because she had not seen him die. She then struck him across the face, declaring it was for her deceased son. She recounted her sacrifices for the Orion State, her distant marriage, and her climb to power, only to be betrayed by Wangyan, who had promised not to harm her family. Yet, to eliminate the Ophiuchus as a threat, he had harmed her own flesh and blood.

Now, with him trying to hurt her grandson, she vowed she could no longer tolerate his existence. The Grandma-Empress admitted that she had always felt like a mere pawn in the Orion State's grand schemes, dismissing the so-called rich and splendid life she had been given. She claimed to have only truly experienced happiness as a person when her own child was born, a happiness Wangyan cruelly destroyed.

She declared that from that day forward, she would forge her own path as the Grandma-Empress of the Zodiac State. Wangyan scoffed at her words, calling it a pipe dream and asserting that she was just a small part of a larger plan to destroy the Zodiac State. He vowed to take his secrets to his grave, leaving her descendants to be buried alongside them. Enraged, the Grandma-Empress seized Wangyan by the throat, demanding he clarify his threats.

At that moment, Wangyan used a spell, possessing the Grandma-Empress's body. The possessed Grandma-Empress then called for the guards and ordered Wangyan's original body to be removed, stating he had made a "deathbed struggle" but she had "subdued him." Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei sought the Grandma-Empress's permission for their wedding. The possessed Grandma-Empress readily approved, setting the date for the eighth of next month.

She displayed an uncharacteristic warmth towards Luo Feifei, praising her cleverness and even requesting her handmade dumplings, despite her known fish allergy. Luo Feifei found this odd, as the Grandma-Empress had collapsed from a fish allergy after eating her dumplings just recently, but she attributed it to forgetfulness due to old age. Elsewhere, Xia Bing gazed at a wooden horse in the courtyard, her thoughts drifting to the spirited horses of the desert.

Beitang Tang, sensing her homesickness, spoke tenderly of how much she must miss her hometown, regardless of how much fun she might find elsewhere. He earnestly promised to always stay by her side, take her to interesting places, and enjoy delicious food. He even envisioned them having children together and visiting her homeland in a few years. Though initially taken aback by his forwardness, Xia Bing allowed Beitang Tang to playfully ride her on the wooden horse.

Beitang Yi later gathered everyone to formalize the wedding plans. He announced that he and Beitang Tang would be getting married together on the 8th of next month, along with Luo Feifei and Xia Bing. A minister expressed concern about the national treasury regarding the multi-person wedding, but Beitang Yi insisted on providing the very best for Luo Feifei, declaring his unwavering devotion.

Su Xunxian generously offered to cover half the wedding expenses to ensure Beitang Yi only married Luo Feifei. Chu Shengnan, attempting to embody a gentle demeanor for Bai Wuchen, revealed their decision to postpone their own wedding until after their child was born, opting instead for a sightseeing tour first due to her shyness. Despite this, Beitang Yi ultimately affirmed his commitment to a grand wedding for himself and Luo Feifei.

As preparations continued, Master Mei presented rare treasures from the national treasury as betrothal gifts for Luo Feifei, describing each one in elaborate detail. Luo Feifei, however, seemed unimpressed, even making an offhand remark about "Monkey Sun" when presented with an item from Aolai State. In contrast, Su Xunxian presented Luo Feifei with an array of delicious foods from across the capital, which she genuinely appreciated.

Beitang Tang approached Xia Bing to discuss their upcoming wedding, expressing his desire to give her nothing but the best. Xia Bing, however, remained distant, asserting that their marriage was merely a political tool for diplomatic relations between their two states, making her personal feelings irrelevant. Beitang Tang sincerely countered that he was grateful for the alliance, as it allowed him the joy of marrying her. He reiterated his happiness at their union, but Xia Bing remained somewhat detached before making to leave.

Episode 17 Recap

Xia Bing accompanied Prince Tang into the palace. Prince Tang lightheartedly asked if her sudden interest in the wedding was a ploy to scrutinize the palace topography for nefarious purposes. Xia Bing felt accused, her expression immediately shifting. Prince Tang quickly explained he was only joking, adding that her current physical state made it difficult to commit any misdeeds. Xia Bing retorted that her recent weight gain was entirely due to his constant feeding.

Prince Tang then assured her that no matter how she changed, he would always love her. He held her hands firmly, emphasizing that this meant she was his wife. Xia Bing, touched, asked him to release her hands, but he refused, playfully diverting the topic to popular Zodiac State snacks like spicy gluten sticks, which were unavailable in her homeland.

During a discussion among the constellation lords about the Emperor's upcoming wedding, Prince Tang brought Xia Bing into the hall, drawing immediate criticism. The lords condemned Xia Bing as a wicked woman, arguing that the wedding was a matter of state and an enemy's daughter should not be involved. Prince Tang defended her, asserting she was Xia Bing, the peace-making princess from the Orion State, and his fiancée. He stated he brought her to clear up any misunderstandings they harbored.

Luo Feifei, drawing on her own past experience of being misunderstood as an Ophiuchus, spoke in Xia Bing's defense. She acknowledged Xia Bing's past actions were due to conflicting loyalties, but argued that a person who has made mistakes should be forgiven. Beitang Yi supported Luo Feifei's stance. Luo Feifei then formally invited Xia Bing to help prepare for her wedding, imperiously declaring that any disagreements should be withheld, while agreement should be expressed through applause. The lords reluctantly complied.

Seizing the opportunity, Xia Bing presented the Emperor with the "ultimate madness medicine," a creation of the Orion State derived from Black Pearl, as a gesture of sincerity, hoping to alleviate their suspicions and foster peace. Luo Feifei led Xia Bing to a side hall for relaxation and showed her the wedding gown she had made.

Xia Bing found the dress peculiar, remarking that it was as odd as Luo Feifei herself, especially given Luo Feifei’s surprising support for her earlier. Luo Feifei mused on the strange occurrences in her own life, from her unconventional arrival to becoming the Ophiuchus Lord and falling in love, concluding that enemies are not always permanent. She sincerely told Xia Bing that Prince Tang truly loved her, urging her not to dwell on the past.

Luo Feifei then promised to handle Xia Bing’s wedding attire and declared that she intended to be firm friends with her. Suddenly, a dark arrow flew through the window, aimed directly at Luo Feifei. Xia Bing quickly helped Luo Feifei evade the attack, then pursued the black-clad assailant, only to discover it was the Grand Empress Dowager. The Grand Empress Dowager immediately chastised Xia Bing for thwarting her plan, revealing herself to be the Imperial Archbishop.

Xia Bing, realizing the true identity of the assassin, humbly apologized, explaining that she intervened only to prevent Luo Feifei's death, which would have disrupted the Imperial Archbishop's larger scheme. She then pleaded with the Imperial Archbishop to spare Prince Tang's life. The Imperial Archbishop, acknowledging Xia Bing's long-standing loyalty, agreed to spare Prince Tang on the condition that he followed her instructions. Shortly after, Beitang Yi rushed in, embracing Luo Feifei tightly, deeply concerned by the assassination attempt.

He voiced his suspicion that the Orion State still harbored ill intentions, suggesting their peace-making marriage might be a deceptive maneuver. Luo Feifei disagreed, emphasizing that Xia Bing had saved her and that she recognized Xia Bing's genuine affection for Prince Tang, as love manifests differently in one's eyes. As they gazed at each other, they shared a kiss.

Luo Feifei then proposed that the Zodiac State's wedding customs were outdated and asked to take charge of their wedding arrangements, to which Beitang Yi readily agreed. After leaving the palace, Xia Bing appeared deeply troubled, a fact Prince Tang quickly noticed. He asked about her distress, wondering if the constellation lords had frightened her, reassuring her that they were good people despite their odd temperaments.

Xia Bing confirmed that Luo Feifei had been kind, and Prince Tang then shared his admiration for Luo Feifei's ability to disregard public opinion, mentioning how her surprising yet insightful words had captivated both his brother and Uncle Chen. Xia Bing interjected, prompting Prince Tang to reaffirm his sole affection for her.

She then confided that Luo Feifei's words about impermanent enemies and the possibility of coming together despite opposing stances had resonated with her, admitting she sometimes envied Luo Feifei's unyielding nature. Suddenly, a worried Xia Bing proposed that she and Prince Tang elope and leave their current situation. Prince Tang, not taking her suggestion seriously, tried to dismiss her fears as unwarranted, promising that no matter what happened, he would always protect her.

Xia Bing, however, secretly worried that she would be unable to ensure his safety and that he might eventually resent her. Luo Feifei decided to orchestrate a truly magnificent wedding for all four of them.

She excitedly outlined the elaborate day's events to Xia Bing, including Beitang Yi and Prince Tang galloping on imperial horses to their bridal chambers, facing playful challenges from Chu Shengnan and Yanran for red packets, and then a grand procession to the wedding hall amidst public jubilation. However, Xia Bing remained visibly distracted throughout the discussion.

Shortly after, Chongchong arrived at the palace, complaining to Luo Feifei about Master Mei's extreme parsimony, even forcing the Ophiuchus people to supply their own gunpowder. Luo Feifei severely chastised Master Mei, threatening to confiscate his property, but he lamented the empty national treasury. Master Mei then informed them that according to national law, the Emperor and Luo Feifei would need their portraits drawn for the wedding.

Luo Feifei and Beitang Yi then sought out Su Xunxian to create these wedding pictures. Master Mei, also present, expressed skepticism about Su Xunxian's artistic abilities, though he acknowledged his talent for drinking and making money. Su Xunxian defended his skills, stating his mother, a prominent timber dealer, had personally taught him, claiming that art and profit-making were interconnected, much to Master Mei's agreement about the potential profit from such a portrait.

Episode 18 Recap

Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei sat for a portrait by Su Xunxian, whose painting skills, he claimed, were personally taught by his mother, the top timber dealer in Zodiac State. Su Xunxian asserted that art and business were interconnected, both being forms of art. However, upon seeing the finished drawing, Luo Feifei was aghast, finding it utterly unlike them. She pointed out that neither their faces nor their postures were captured accurately.

Su Xunxian defensively offered Master Wang as an alternative artist, but Luo Feifei, exasperated, left with Beitang Yi. Embracing, they had already sent people to look for Yanran and Prince Chen. She confided in Beitang Yi that many things had been going wrong recently, and her right eye had been twitching, which was traditionally a sign of disaster. Beitang Yi, however, dismissed her worries, urging her not to overthink.

Meanwhile, Xia Bing met with the National Master, informing him that she had learned the full wedding schedule. Their plan was to poison all the wine throughout the city on the wedding day, ensuring no one would escape. The National Master commended her, revealing that he had just received a pigeon mail confirming their army was already hidden among the populace, ready to dispatch troops at any moment. Despite her loyalty, Xia Bing expressed a lingering concern for Beitang Tang.

She asked the National Master if there was any possibility of recruiting the Constellation Lords of Zodiac State, arguing that Beitang Tang posed no threat to their forces. The National Master sternly advised against such "petty kindness," emphasizing the danger of leaving any potential threat alive. However, he made a concession: he promised not to harm Beitang Tang.

He further pledged that after their victory, Xia Bing would be celebrated as a hero of the Orion State, and he would personally officiate her marriage to Beitang Tang. Overjoyed, Xia Bing thanked him profusely. The National Master invited her to stay for dinner, but Xia Bing declined, explaining she needed to attend Luo Feifei's bachelor party. At the bachelor party, Luo Feifei was thrilled to see Xie Yanran, who had returned to surprise her at Beitang Yi's request.

Xie Yanran playfully warned Beitang Yi to treat Luo Feifei well, or she would teach Luo Feifei "108 ways of killing a husband." She also comically threatened anyone who revealed her un-dignified private behavior with "108 ways of torment." Mei Daren comically calculated the exorbitant cost of such methods. The topic of Prince Chen arose, and Xie Yanran explained he was recovering from a bad cold caused by his long journey and could not attend.

Lighthearted banter filled the air, with jests exchanged about Xia Bing and Beitang Tang, and playful arguments between the male and female attendees. Luo Feifei finally called for order, declaring it their "last Golden Single Night" and announcing two main activities: a drinking contest and awkward dancing. Everyone raised a toast. As the party wound down and guests departed, Shang Yu suddenly remembered he had forgotten a present for Xia Bing.

He decided to return for it alone, despite Xifeng Lie's offer to accompany him. Xifeng Lie, however, felt a growing sense of unease, though Su Xunxian tried to reassure him by highlighting Shang Yu's exceptional speed. On his way back, Shang Yu inadvertently overheard a conversation between several Orion State individuals.

They spoke of the following day being their "big day" and praised Xia Bing for her cleverness in obtaining information from Luo Feifei, which allowed them to poison the wine. They boasted that this would ensure a swift and effortless takeover of Zodiac State, vowing to kill the Emperor and all Constellation Lords. Recognizing them as "Big Dog and his fellows," Shang Yu immediately realized the dire situation and knew he had to warn everyone.

Before he could escape, however, his presence was detected, and he was quickly surrounded by the Orion State men. Later, Prince Chen was calmly playing music when Xifeng Lie rushed in, clearly panicked, to report that Shang Yu was missing and had not returned all night. Initially, Prince Chen seemed unperturbed, but seeing Xifeng Lie's profound distress, he ordered Su Xunxian to be found.

Su Xunxian arrived and, like Prince Chen, first dismissed Xifeng Lie's concerns, citing Shang Yu's incredible speed. But Xifeng Lie's persistent worry convinced them both of the seriousness of the situation. Su Xunxian then used birds to gather intelligence, quickly discovering a clue. He decided to accompany Xifeng Lie to search for Shang Yu, with Prince Chen promising to join them later.

Meanwhile, at Tianxing Palace, Beitang Yi and Beitang Tang were dressed in their unique wedding suits, specially designed by Luo Feifei. In the bridal chamber, Luo Feifei, Xie Yanran, Xia Bing, and another girl nervously awaited the ceremony. They shared lighthearted conversation, with Luo Feifei playfully teasing Xie Yanran. Luo Feifei also inquired about Prince Chen, to which Xie Yanran reassured her, urging her to focus on her happiness. Xia Bing was also present, but she appeared visibly dejected.

When asked, she admitted to feeling envious of their shared history and joy. Luo Feifei promptly reassured her, proclaiming that the four of them were now best friends forever. As the Emperor and Prince Tang were announced to be approaching, the girls quickly composed themselves, and Luo Feifei frantically searched for her veil.

Episode 19 Recap

Beitang Yi and Tang Wang arrived outside the bridal chambers, eager to claim their brides. However, Xie Yanran and Chu Shengnan stood firm, refusing them entry. Beitang Yi attempted to tease Xie Yanran by recalling her feat of out-drinking three legendary drinkers of Perseids State during her travels, causing a wave of laughter from those gathered, but Xie Yanran held her ground.

Tang Wang, impatient to retrieve Xia Bing, urged them to open the door, reminding them they would miss the auspicious hour. Others suggested breaking the door, but Xie Yanran and Chu Shengnan countered that the Emperor would simply replace it. Tang Wang declared he would pay for a new door himself, determined to take Xia Bing home that day.

Bai Wuchen offered to use his powers to move the door, but Chu Shengnan quickly threatened him, stating she wouldn't mind if the father of her child became disabled, effectively deterring his assistance. With a smile, Xie Yanran finally revealed the real reason for the blockade, hinting that Luo Feifei believed nothing was unsolvable if enough money was offered, clearly demanding red envelopes.

Beitang Yi feigned having no money, while Tang Wang suggested they abandon the wedding and go home, claiming they hadn't brought enough funds. Hearing this from inside, Luo Feifei panicked and rushed towards the door, crying out to Beitang Yi, "Dragon Egg, don't leave!" Xie Yanran and Chu Shengnan moved to intercept her, creating an opening for Beitang Yi and Tang Wang to force their way through the door, leading to a joyful commotion inside the bridal chamber.

Meanwhile, Xifeng Lie and Su Xunxian finally located Shang Yu, who lay collapsed in a room, his forehead bleeding onto the floor. Xifeng Lie cradled him, grief-stricken and blaming himself for letting Shang Yu go alone. Chen Wang arrived, his initial shock quickly turning to fury. He commanded Xifeng Lie and Su Xunxian to stay behind while he pursued Shang Yu's killer.

Su Xunxian, noticing black writing on the ground, urged Xifeng Lie that they needed to leave immediately, vowing they would avenge Shang Yu. The Empress Dowager presided over the grand wedding ceremony. She addressed the new couples, urging Beitang Tang and Xia Bing, as well as Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei, to support each other and govern Zodiac State well. Luo Feifei, now addressed as Empress, offered tea to the Empress Dowager.

After receiving two bracelets, she cheekily offered tea a second time, earning herself two hairpins and a teasing remark from the Empress Dowager about her never wanting to suffer a loss. When it was Xia Bing's turn to offer tea, the Empress Dowager, having already given physical gifts to Luo Feifei, bestowed upon Xia Bing a hundred pieces of silk and ten thousand C-Coins.

This left Luo Feifei comically disgruntled, complaining that if she had known money was an option, she wouldn't have taken the "heavy" physical gifts. As the group left the Empress Dowager's palace for the next part of the ceremony, Xia Bing told Luo Feifei she had a stomachache and needed to use the toilet. Tang Wang offered to accompany her, but she declined, assuring him she would be fine alone. Despite her refusal, Tang Wang, still worried, secretly followed her.

Meanwhile, Zhang Tianzheng informed Beitang Yi that the Orion State army had taken up position at their border. Beitang Yi dispatched him to investigate. Zhang Tianzheng initially found no activity and suspected a false alarm, even bringing wine to his troops. However, upon closer inspection, he discovered the enemy tents were empty, realizing they had been tricked by a diversionary tactic.

Meanwhile, Xia Bing, now at the city gate, gazed at it with internal conflict, muttering to herself that her conscience wouldn't allow her to betray the trust shown to her. At the city gate, Xia Bing struggled with her conscience. Chu Shengnan and Bai Wuchen approached her, concerned that everyone was looking for her and offering to help if Tang Wang had troubled her.

Suddenly, Xia Bing heard an approaching commotion and frantically urged them to flee, revealing that the Orion State forces had arrived and the people of Zodiac State were doomed. Tang Wang, who had secretly followed Xia Bing, witnessed her distress and realization of betrayal. Orion State soldiers quickly surrounded them, disregarding Xia Bing's plea to let Chu Shengnan and Bai Wuchen go. Chu Shengnan courageously announced she would stall the attackers and urged Bai Wuchen to escape.

In the ensuing fight, Bai Wuchen bravely took a sword blow to protect Chu Shengnan. As another attack came, Chu Shengnan, unwilling to let Bai Wuchen be harmed again, stepped in front of him, taking the sword herself. As they fell to the ground, Bai Wuchen tearfully expressed his lifelong desire to protect her, a chance he now feared was lost.

Clutching his hand, Chu Shengnan confessed that she felt safe by his side and had no regrets, affectionately calling him an "idiot" and a "fool." As she pressed her hand to her abdomen, she lamented that they would never see their child. Su Xunxian and Xifeng Lie arrived at the grim scene, finding Chu Shengnan and Bai Wuchen collapsed. Their grief was interrupted by an ambush from Orion State commanders, Dali and Xiaoli.

Despite managing to kill Xiaoli, both Su Xunxian and Xifeng Lie were gravely wounded in the fierce attack. Chen Wang arrived immediately after, engaging Dali in a brutal fight and ultimately defeating him. However, Dali's dying words revealed a devastating truth: it was too late, as the liquor throughout the city had already been poisoned. Chen Wang rushed to Su Xunxian, his eyes filled with anguish, pressing on his bleeding wound and pleading with him to hold on.

Su Xunxian, mustering his last strength, gripped Chen Wang's hand, then pulled it away, insisting that Chen Wang go save the Emperor without delay. Chen Wang, with profound reluctance, departed. Su Xunxian managed a faint, bitter smile, recognizing that he might not be able to keep his promise to Chen Wang this time. His fan slipped from his grasp, and his head finally drooped.

Back in the main hall, despite the absence of Beitang Tang and Xia Bing, the officials decided to proceed with the ceremony for the Emperor and Empress due to time constraints, promising that Beitang Tang and Xia Bing could perform their salute later. Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei, magnificent in their wedding attire, entered the palace, passing rows of waiting officials.

Luo Feifei, reflecting on Beitang Yi being both her husband and the Emperor, stumbled clumsily and fell to the ground midway through. Beitang Yi cast a wry glance at her before extending his hand to help her up, while the officiant, unfazed, continued to chant the traditional blessings for the extraordinary Empress and the Constellation Emperor. The ceremony proceeded with the traditional bows to the Constellation Emperor, the late emperors, and finally, to each other.

Episode 20 Recap

Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei's wedding ceremony commenced with the officiant proclaiming the Empress as kind, extraordinary, and the mother of the whole world, a fortune for all. The couple completed the traditional bows, first to the Constellation Emperor, then to the late emperors, and finally to each other. Meanwhile, Beitang Tang and Xia Bing, also in wedding attire, faced a strained moment.

Beitang Tang gazed at Xia Bing with a bitter smile, realizing his feelings for her had always been one-sided, and that she had never truly given her heart to him. Xia Bing shook her head repeatedly. Beitang Tang was in agony, lamenting, "If we hadn't left that desert, we could have lived happily forever, couldn't we?" He roared, drawing a dagger and lunging at Xia Bing, but couldn't bring himself to strike.

Xia Bing similarly refused to harm him, urging him to leave and stating she didn't want to kill him. Just then, Forgetful, the Empress Dowager, appeared, having overheard everything. She expressed her deep disappointment in Xia Bing and drew a blade. As Xia Bing closed her eyes, Beitang Tang cried out in protest and rushed forward, only for Forgetful to repeatedly stab him. Xia Bing watched in horror, tears streaming down her face, as Beitang Tang urged her to flee.

Suddenly, Xia Bing drew a knife and stabbed Forgetful. Xia Bing had never imagined Beitang Tang would die. She was terrified and heartbroken, yet Beitang Tang, even in betrayal, still thought of her, telling her to hurry and leave, as the people of the Constellation State would not spare her. Tears streaming down her face, Xia Bing repeatedly asked Beitang Tang if they could return to the desert together, handcuffed for life and never separating.

As Beitang Tang succumbed to his wounds, Xia Bing pleaded with him, asking if he agreed to her wishes, to promise they'd be together forever. He encouraged her to move on and live her full life before collapsing. As Xia Bing wept over his body, a black smoke erupted from Forgetful's mind and infiltrated Beitang Tang's body. Beitang Tang suddenly reanimated, seemingly possessed, and, catching Xia Bing off guard, brutally stabbed her multiple times until she fell lifeless.

He then roared, vowing to kill everyone, and stormed into the city. In her final moments, Xia Bing's mind replayed cherished memories of her journey with Beitang Tang, from their first encounter to falling in love. At the wedding reception, the palace hall buzzed with celebratory toasts from officials and citizens alike. An official proposed a toast to Beitang Yi.

Luo Feifei, now the Empress, intervened, playfully suggesting that she should propose the toast to Beitang Yi instead, hinting at his "important matters" later that night and advising everyone to drink slowly. The wine was poisoned, and chaos erupted as all who had drunk it, including the citizens, the officials, Xie Yanran, and Luo Feifei herself, collapsed unconscious. Beitang Yi, in shock, rushed from his throne to Luo Feifei's side.

At that moment, Beitang Moran entered the hall, reporting that the Orion State forces had already breached the city. Beitang Yi quickly scooped up the unconscious Luo Feifei, while Beitang Moran lifted Xie Yanran, apologizing for being too late. Xie Yanran, in her final breaths, asked him not to apologize, but to promise not to make her wait too long when they met again in the next life, before closing her eyes.

Outside, the Orion State army had stormed the city. Beitang Yi and Beitang Moran bravely fought back, repelling waves of attackers. However, Beitang Tang, now under a dark influence, unexpectedly stabbed Beitang Yi from behind. Beitang Yi and Beitang Moran engaged Beitang Tang in a desperate fight. Though they managed to restrain him, they hesitated to deliver a fatal blow to their kin. Under the full moonlight, Beitang Tang briefly regained lucidity, begging them to kill him quickly.

Unable to bring themselves to do so, they hesitated, and Beitang Tang, once again overcome by the dark force, struck them both, causing them to collapse, their fates uncertain. The moonlight intensified, and Beitang Tang, torn between two conflicting consciousnesses, seemed to turn on himself, manifesting a separate entity that attacked and destroyed the part of him controlled by Forgetful. Forgetful, in disbelief, dissipated into black smoke, her voice echoing in the air, vowing to return.

Soon after, Zhang Tianzheng arrived with reinforcements, his heart sinking as he saw the unconscious Beitang Yi and Beitang Moran. Luo Feifei, regaining consciousness, surveyed the Constellation State, now a tragic scene strewn with bodies. Overwhelmed by fear and panic she had never known, she rushed to Beitang Yi, desperately trying to awaken him. She then began to channel her powers, determined to heal Beitang Yi, Beitang Tang, Beitang Moran, and every fallen person around her.

Her pleas for them to awaken and her sorrowful cries for Beitang Yi to get up were heartfelt. Soon, the members of the Snake Family arrived, and under Luo Feifei's command, they began to assist in the widespread healing. As the Constellation State's people gradually revived, the Snake Family members expended all their vital energy, their bodies dissipating into shimmering stars.

Episode 21 (Ending) Recap

Luo Feifei’s vital energy began to dissipate, signaling her imminent departure from Huangdao Country. Beitang Yi had regained consciousness, and they stood facing each other. Luo Feifei bravely put on a smile, reminding him that she had already told him he would definitely be a good emperor. She offered to sing him a song, remembering her earlier boast about being able to handle high-level songs with sudden octave changes. Luo Feifei chose “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”

As she sang, tears streamed down her face. She then asked "Dragon Egg" if he would miss her. Beitang Yi approached her, embracing her as she glowed with light, and then he kissed her. The kiss seemed to last an eternity, the world around them fading into the background. As the moon hung high in the sky, Luo Feifei finally dissolved into countless specks of light, ascending to become a star in the heavens.

With her disappearance, all the other people in Huangdao Country, who had been affected, awakened. They knelt, watching her transform into starlight. In the 21st century, Luo Feifei found herself lying on the ground at a construction site, surrounded by people calling for an ambulance. It was the day before her fateful journey to Huangdao Country. She wondered if it had all been a dream, yet she remembered every person from that world, and the experience felt incredibly real.

She was back to being an intern doctor, maintaining her quirky personality. Her colleagues often teased her, noting she spent more time reading constellation books than medical textbooks, even questioning if she was looking for a new job. Luo Feifei knew in her heart that her mind was constantly in Huangdao Country. She believed that all accidental encounters were inevitable, holding that there was an undiscovered causality, like fate, that draws people together, much like stars meeting despite their orbits.

She held onto the belief that one day she would accidentally meet her Mr. Right. That evening, her friend took Luo Feifei to a bar to help her clear her mind. Luo Feifei, holding a bottle of wine, took over the microphone and began to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." As she sang, she started to cry uncontrollably, then laughed, and then cried again, eventually yelling, "Dragon egg, I miss you! Dragon egg!"

Her emotional outburst caused the bar owner to fear losing customers. He pleaded with her friend to take Luo Feifei to the bar across the street, suggesting she could "teach them a lesson" there instead. Suddenly, a news report on the bar’s screen caught Luo Feifei’s attention. The report stated that it would be the nearest distance between Ophiuchus and Earth in years, making it exceptionally clear due to its proximity to Earth's orbit.

It announced that the Ophiuchus would be visible that night at 8:00 PM from Jianlong Mountain, where many astronomers were already gathering. Without hesitation, Luo Feifei put down her bottle and rushed out of the bar, hailing a car to Jianlong Mountain. As her car passed a bus stop, she thought she saw a man in a suit with short hair who resembled Jiacheng or even Beitang Yi.

She urgently told the driver to stop and rushed out, but the person was already gone. In that moment, she recalled the chaotic scene right before her original car accident: the person who knocked her down in the hospital resembled Prince Chen, the female taxi driver had a face like Chu Shengnan, and the person knocked off a bicycle by the road looked like King Tang.

Luo Feifei finally arrived at Jianlong Mountain, where many people stood on the open grass, holding cameras. She looked up at the starlit sky when a piece of paper, with her name written in brushstrokes, floated down and landed on her face. As she pulled it away, she saw a man who looked exactly like Beitang Yi. Overcome with emotion, Luo Feifei excitedly shouted that the "bad Dragon Egg" had finally come to find her and ran to embrace him.

To her dismay, the man was not Beitang Yi, but Jiacheng. Luo Feifei’s spirits plummeted. Feeling heartbroken and wronged, she angrily accused Jiacheng of impersonating someone else's boyfriend. Jiacheng, looking helpless, simply signed an autograph for her before heading into the crowd, as fans called out his name excitedly, asking for photos. Just then, the real Beitang Yi appeared behind her.

He reminded her of his previous warning: that if she ever mentioned another man’s name again, he would punish her. Luo Feifei turned around, her face illuminated by a smile through her tears, as memories flooded her mind. Finally, she rushed into Beitang Yi’s arms, and they held each other tightly. As the cool night wind blew, they sat together on the grass, gazing at the sprawling galaxy.

Beitang Yi affectionately called her a "silly gal," expressing his disbelief that she hadn't recognized him. They leaned into each other as the stars above formed the shape of a heart.
