When Zhang Xiaofan and Zeng Shushu were searching for clues in the mountains, they suddenly saw Li Xun being attacked by a group of bats. Although Li Xun conjured a fire dragon, he still couldn't get away. Zhang Xiaofan and Zeng Shushu rushed forward to help, but unexpectedly found themselves in trouble. Just then, a green light flashed by and killed the bat demon.

Afterward, Zhang Xiaofan fell to the ground, helplessly watching his Fire Stick being taken away by a masked green-clad woman. Back in the Lord of Yudou City's mansion, Zhang Xiaofan told Zeng Shushu that he had lost his magic weapon. The two returned to the riverside to search again, but still found nothing. A Xiang prepared to offer a hefty reward to find Zhang Xiaofan's magic weapon.

A Xiang found a green-clad girl eating candied haws on the street and quickly informed Zeng Shushu and Zhang Xiaofan. He believed that this was the only new green-clad girl in Yudou City recently, and moreover, the long, rod-like object in her backpack greatly resembled the Fire Stick. Zeng Shushu saw the girl's light footsteps, her innocent and playful demeanor, and her feigned innocence, so he decided to test her.

Faced with Zeng Shushu's questions, the green-clad girl turned and ran. Zeng Shushu chased after her, and the girl ran behind a diviner. It turned out that this diviner was the green-clad girl's grandfather. Zhang Xiaofan arrived and realized that Zeng Shushu had mistaken the person, so he quickly pulled Zeng Shushu away. When Zeng Shushu and Zhang Xiaofan returned to the Yudou City mansion, the grandfather and granddaughter pair were guests at the City Lord's residence.

The diviner spotted Zeng Shushu and Zhang Xiaofan and wanted to settle accounts with them. The Yudou City Lord quickly told Zeng Shushu to apologize to them. It turned out that the diviner was none other than the itinerant mystic Zhou Yixian, and he was good friends with the Yudou City Lord. The green-clad girl was his granddaughter, Xiaohuan, who had grown up in Yudou City.

The Yudou City Lord was very fond of Xiaohuan and wanted to marry her off to whichever of his grandsons could win the position of City Lord in the future. Xiaohuan told Grandpa Wei that she didn't like Zeng Shushu and Li Xun. The Yudou City Lord then introduced Zhang Xiaofan to Xiaohuan, who shyly smiled and ran away.

It turned out that Xiaohuan felt an immediate connection with Zhang Xiaofan when she saw him, and through her divination skills, she discovered that Zhang Xiaofan was looking for a very important item. The person who had taken Zhang Xiaofan's magic weapon that day was Biyao, the daughter of the Ghost King.

She found that the Fire Stick clearly recognized its master, and for a moment, she couldn't understand why Old Man Nian was able to wield it at Bihuo Tianbing Lake. After losing the Fire Stick, Zhang Xiaofan discovered that his internal qi was chaotic when he meditated, making him unable to suppress the Dafa Banruo and Qingyun cultivation techniques within him. He wanted Xiaohuan to use her "Flick of the Finger Heavenly Secrets" technique to retrieve his magic weapon.

After some deductions, Xiaohuan believed that the person who took Zhang Xiaofan's magic weapon must be someone he had met and knew. When Zhou Yixian heard that the Yudou City Guard Commander intended to use Yudou City as Xiaohuan's dowry, he, who had long suffered from the hardship of traveling far and wide to swindle money, was momentarily tempted. He pulled Xiaohuan aside and asked her who she truly liked.

Xiaohuan lied, claiming she liked Brother Xiaofan, and then grabbed Zhang Xiaofan and ran. Zhang Xiaofan stopped at the entrance of Jinxiu Workshop. He realized that he hadn't interacted with many girls; Tian Ling'er was at Qingyun Mountain, and Lu Xueqi was at Kongsang Mountain, so neither of them would come to take his magic weapon. Zhang Xiaofan suspected that the owner of Jinxiu Workshop was highly suspicious.

Just then, he suddenly saw that familiar green-clad girl emerge from Jinxiu Workshop. Zhang Xiaofan quickly and secretly followed her, pulled off her veil, and only then recognized her as Biyao. Biyao saw the fresh flowers nearby and, on impulse, picked one. Only then did Zhang Xiaofan understand that it was Biyao who had saved him with flower petals that day, and he quickly expressed his gratitude.

He then asked Biyao for his magic weapon, but Biyao told Zhang Xiaofan to ask Lin Jingyu for it instead. Meanwhile, Xiaohuan came over and asked Zhang Xiaofan to participate in the election for Yudou City Lord, to help her keep up the act, otherwise, she would have to marry Li Xun. Zeng Shushu, who had no interest in the position of Yudou City Lord, also urged Zhang Xiaofan to join the election. Zhang Xiaofan hastily declined.

Xiaohuan told them that Li Xun, in his bid for the City Lord position, had volunteered to solve the problem of the poisoned river water and insisted on blowing up the mountain to block the river. Zeng Shushu quickly went to dissuade Li Xun, but Li Xun refused, citing the protection of the common people as his reason.

Zhang Xiaofan told Li Xun that, after investigation, the source of the river pollution was the silt from Kongsang Mountain, and blowing up the mountain to block the river would be useless. Li Xun questioned if there were any other solutions. Zeng Shushu quickly said there was a way but needed a few more days. Li Xun, who was already impatient, disregarded the warnings and cast spells to blow up the mountain and block the river.

Zeng Shushu rushed over to stop Li Xun, and for a moment, the two were locked in a standoff. Just then, Lu Xueqi and Lin Jingyu arrived. Lu Xueqi wielded her Tianya Sword to force Li Xun back, resolving the immediate crisis. With the treatment of the poison being urgent, City Lord Wei asked Zeng Shushu and Li Xun to each come up with a solution, to be decided upon based on their merits and demerits.

City Lord Wei saw that Lu Xueqi and Lin Jingyu were both Zeng Shushu's friends from Qingyun Sect, so he arranged for them to stay in the City Lord's mansion. Zeng Shushu, trying to be accommodating, led Lu Xueqi to a refined room, while having Lin Jingyu and Zhang Xiaofan share a room. That night, Zhang Xiaofan told Lin Jingyu that Biyao was also in Yudou City and had emerged from Jinxiu Workshop that day.

Lin Jingyu didn't believe that the Ghost King Sect would only send Biyao alone, suspecting that there was more to Jinxiu Workshop than met the eye. It turned out that before Lin Jingyu descended the mountain, he had inquired with his master about the demonic sects.

He learned that among the demonic sects, there was a sect called Hehuan Sect (Lustrous Harmony Sect) that was closely related to the Blood Refining Hall, had no male members, and its current leader was a young and beautiful woman – Miao Gongzi. However, over a decade ago, Miao Gongzi had taken the Hehuan Sect away due to an internal conflict within the demonic sects, and her whereabouts had been unknown ever since.

Based on Jin Ping'er's ability to single-handedly repel disciples from Tianyin Pavilion and Qingyun Sect, Lin Jingyu deduced that Jinxiu Workshop must be connected to the mysteriously disappeared Hehuan Sect. As Zeng Shushu led Lu Xueqi to the refined room, they encountered Xiaohuan and Jin Ping'er entering the City Lord's mansion together. Zeng Shushu asked Xiaohuan and learned that Jin Ping'er and City Lord Wei were old friends despite their age difference.

Lu Xueqi noticed the Wuhua Brew in Jin Ping'er's hand. Xiaohuan told her that it was a medicinal wine brewed by Jin Ping'er to strengthen City Lord Wei's health. Lu Xueqi suspected that Jin Ping'er was a member of the demonic cult. To avoid wrongly accusing an innocent person, they planned to gather some evidence to show the old City Lord. At this point, everyone's attention was focused on Zhang Xiaofan.

Zhang Xiaofan decided to divide into two groups: he and Lin Jingyu would investigate the demonic cult's background, while Zeng Shushu and Lu Xueqi would be responsible for solving the water source problem.
