She immediately called Mowgli's phone but couldn't get through. Realizing the situation was dire, she immediately called the police and rushed to the scene in a taxi. She arrived just as Zheng Weijue was attacking Mowgli and trying to snatch his phone. The police swiftly apprehended Zheng Weijue. Mowgli collapsed into Ling Xi's arms, whispering that the evidence was on the phone Zheng Weijue had tried to take.
Later, in a police car, Mowgli awoke to find Ling Xi beside him. He confirmed Zheng Weijue's arrest and that his phone and the crucial audio recording were safely with the police.
