Tang Cheng returned home disheartened. She heard Mowgli and Chu Shi discussing Lu Ziyue in relation to their environmental project, and her emotions immediately exploded. Tang Cheng tearfully retreated to her room, closing the door and crying alone in the darkness, mourning her lost love and the impossibility of returning to the past. Later, Mowgli and Chu Shi were pleased that Lu Ziyue had agreed to help with the project.

Mowgli innocently helped Chu Shi open a water bottle, sparking a jealous reaction from Ling Xi, who suddenly declared them too noisy to read. Mowgli and Chu Shi were bewildered by her outburst. Ling Xi then told them to stop mentioning Lu Ziyue at home and suggested they talk on their phones or send him a message on WeChat. The next day, Mowgli and Chu Shi promoted green mobility on campus.

Despite their efforts, which included calling out to students, “Welcome to learn green mobility which is healthy and environmentally friendly. We'll offer little gifts,” they had little success, with only a few students stopping by to collect free gifts, not genuinely interested in the cause.

When one student explicitly asked for Mowgli’s WeChat account instead of a gift, he politely refused, explaining he had a girlfriend and that such a request was against traffic regulations if she expected him to ride a bicycle with her on it. Chu Shi reflected that their approach was no different from handing out flyers on the street, suggesting they needed to change their strategy to attract people.

Mowgli encouraged her, reminding her of Lu Ziyue’s saying, “after endless mountains and rivers that leave doubt whether there is a path out, suddenly one encounters the shade of a willow, bright flowers and a lovely village.” Meanwhile, Ling Xi's marketing campaign for potato chips with crab roe flavor was a smash hit, almost selling out. A peer congratulated her, saying her overnight scheme was more effective than their team's week-long discussions.

He tried to recruit her to their company's marketing department with promises of negotiable salary and performance bonuses, but Ling Xi politely declined, stating she already had her own goals and her decision was firm. Later, at the canteen, Ling Xi’s jealousy flared again as Mowgli and Chu Shi continued discussing their promotion, with Chu Shi observing that no amount of worrying could be solved by a delicious meal, and if one wasn't enough, have another.

Mowgli confessed his satisfaction in having both food and love. Ling Xi, however, found fault with every dish Mowgli offered her. When Chu Shi joined them, expressing her own liking for Sauteed Cabbage with Vinegar Sauce, a dish Ling Xi had just rejected, Ling Xi's frustration peaked, but Mowgli remained oblivious to the cause of her irritation. Just then, Ling Xi spotted Lu Ziyue holding hands with another woman and immediately screamed "Jerk!" before chasing after him.

In her haste, she nearly collided with a man carrying a bowl of pumpkin porridge while on a phone call. The man sighed in relief, but then Mowgli, who was also running to catch up with Ling Xi, accidentally bumped into him, spilling the entire bowl of pumpkin porridge on his clothes. Mowgli apologized profusely, explaining he was chasing his girlfriend whose business plan had been left in the canteen.

The man glanced at the plan in Mowgli's hand and, with a dismissive tone, declared it full of loopholes and suitable for the trash bin, saying it was "experience." Mowgli, stunned by his insight, pressed for his identity, but the man simply walked away. Mowgli later recognized him from a business magazine as Li Yuheng, the CEO of Mozi Capital. Mowgli chased Li Yuheng to his company building.

Despite Li Yuheng's initial dismissal, Mowgli earnestly sought his advice on Ling Xi’s marketing plan. Li Yuheng, surprised by Mowgli's sincerity, granted him three minutes. Mowgli, determined to help Ling Xi, explained that he would never let go of any information that could benefit her. Li Yuheng pointed out that the plan, which aimed to create a platform for young designers, lacked specific subdivisions and a clear brand style after clustering.

He also noted that the marketing strategy, while good, only presented a common network agency and lacked attractive points to draw customers. Mowgli quickly proposed solutions, suggesting categorization by popular styles like minimalist, color, and enlightenment, and using a core sentence similar to Taobao's "Tao My Likes" or Mercedes-Benz's "Where the heart goes, the drive continues" to highlight the platform’s culture. Li Yuheng was impressed, acknowledging Mowgli as the first person to quickly identify issues and propose solutions.

He gave Mowgli a chance to revise the plan. Just then, Li Yuheng's assistant brought in preliminary research materials for Gao's Group's Senmu Resort project, noting that the development area, a plateau climate zone, only housed leopard cats and macaques. Mowgli immediately interjected, stating that such a climate should also have brown bears, argali, and wolves.

As his three minutes were up, Li Yuheng walked away, but Mowgli insisted on leaving his home address with the assistant, offering to pay for the dry cleaning of Li Yuheng's porridge-stained coat. Meanwhile, Ling Xi caught up to Lu Ziyue and his new girlfriend. She berated him for moving on so quickly after his supposed "tiff" with Tang Cheng, accusing him of moral degeneracy for finding a new partner.

Lu Ziyue calmly informed her that he and Tang Cheng had broken up, and the woman with him was his new girlfriend. Ling Xi, though internally surprised, feigned knowing about the breakup to protect Tang Cheng. Lu Ziyue’s new girlfriend, appearing gentle, excused herself to return to the office. Ling Xi disparaged her, calling her a "ruthless Mei Chaofeng" in the guise of "Lin Daiyu."

Lu Ziyue defended his new girlfriend, then reiterated that he and Tang Cheng had split, asking if Tang Cheng hadn't told her. Ling Xi, still processing the news, continued to pretend she knew, declaring that Lu Ziyue was "nothing" to Tang Cheng. Separately, Zheng Li arrived to pick up Bai Yiling for work. They exchanged thoughtful gifts: Zheng Li gave Bai Yiling a Rhinitis Spray, which she needed, and Bai Yiling gave him Seaweed Rice Balls, his favorite.

Bai Yiling humorously commented that Zheng Li was so considerate. As they shared an intimate moment in the car, nearly kissing, they were interrupted by a colleague. Bai Yiling, cautious about their undeclared office romance, urged Zheng Li to be discreet, expressing concern about gossip. Zheng Li, who declared his life had become "orderly like Tetris" since being with her, agreed to keep their relationship private for now.

During a company meeting, Ling Yu presented a solution for a project delay caused by a long-term cooperating company, Keli, which he argued was declining in quality. He suggested terminating the partnership and choosing a new, more capable one from a list he had prepared. However, Zheng Li, while agreeing with Ling Yu's assessment of Keli's issues, proposed a different approach: changing the cooperation model from one-to-one to one-to-many to diversify risk.

He presented research done by Bai Yiling, showcasing various creative and passionate original teams that needed opportunities. Ling Father ultimately adopted Zheng Li's multi-partner solution, leaving Ling Yu visibly disappointed. Later, Ling Yu, feeling the weight of a recent investment loss, declined a dinner invitation from Gao Jie. He went skateboarding alone, where he had an accidental fall. It was then that he encountered Chu Shi, wondering if he was dreaming.

That same night, Ling Yu was seen covertly stamping a document with a company seal in his office. Ling Xi found Tang Cheng in an underground parking garage, attempting to console her. She bought snacks and wine, suggesting Tang Cheng release her emotions freely in the secluded space. Tang Cheng, however, confirmed that this breakup was different; she genuinely loved Lu Ziyue.

Feeling responsible for initially pushing Tang Cheng to "stall" Lu Ziyue for her own pursuit of Zheng Li, Ling Xi took Tang Cheng's phone and called Lu Ziyue, intending for Tang Cheng to vent her anger. Tang Cheng, initially reluctant, began to list Lu Ziyue's shortcomings, describing him as archaic, wanting a simple "husband-wife" marriage, and calling his parents strange, adding that his whole family were weirdos. But then, her true feelings emerged.

She admitted, "I don't know why… I just really, really, really like him." Lu Ziyue, hearing only the initial complaints, hung up and deleted Tang Cheng's WeChat (via Ling Xi's phone) from his phone. Later, Mowgli apologized to Ling Xi, acknowledging his mistake for his earlier insensitivity. He then shared good news: Li Yuheng, the CEO of Mozi Capital, had reviewed Ling Xi's business plan and was impressed by her talent.

Meanwhile, Mowgli and Chu Shi continued brainstorming ways to improve their environmental activity on campus. Chu Shi suggested new prizes like video streaming memberships or eco-friendly phone cases, but Mowgli worried this would overshadow their core message. Mowgli then proposed using Lu Ziyue as a promotional spokesperson, given his popularity, and setting up two stationary bicycles for a contest on site, enhancing both interest and interactivity. He also had a "tiny suggestion" regarding the application. Just then, a delivery from FlashEx arrived.
