Following Gu Chuan and Jiang Xiaoning's decision to be more open about their relationship, Gu Chuan's parents arrive for a visit. Before the meal, Gu Chuan takes Jiang Xiaoning to an art gallery for a work inspection, advising her not to feel pressured about meeting his parents. At the restaurant, Gu Chuan is visibly displeased to find Su Manlin already seated with his parents. Su Manlin engages Gu Chuan's parents in conversation, suggesting a trip to Norway to see the aurora, a vacation they had once planned.
