Qin Qing worried that no matter how much effort she made, Zuo's mother would remain indifferent. Zuo Yulin was silent for a while, then suddenly proposed to Qin Qing. Qin Qing worried that Zuo Yulin was acting on impulse. Zuo Yulin, however, said that he had been thinking about marriage for more than just a day or two.

Zhou Fang's mother asked Qin Qing to sit down and eat with them. Qin Qing felt a bit unwell after just two bites and quickly ran to the restroom. After the meal, Zhou Fang's mother pulled Zuo's mother to her own house to chat and took the opportunity to ask about Qin Qing and Zuo's mother's situation. Zuo's mother also treated Zhou Fang's mother as a friend and told her everything about Qin Qing and Zuo Yulin.

After Zuo's mother suspected Qin Qing was pregnant, her attitude towards Qin Qing improved. She subtly inquired about Qin Qing's recent condition. Qin Qing honestly replied that she had acid reflux. Zuo's mother told Zhou Fang's mother about the situation. Zuo's mother worried that Qin Qing was deceiving her and planned to secretly abort the child.
