Shocked, Xiao Yao was overwhelmed with conflicting feelings.

She embraced her mother tightly, her tears mixing sorrow, resentment, and understanding. Xi Ling Heng gently explained her hardships and sacrifices, gradually easing Xiao Yao’s bitterness. In that moment, mother and daughter bridged the gap between them, connecting heart to heart.
