After the first round, Zhou Yue of the Southeast Team defeated Chen Hai, placing first while Chen Hai was second.
Shen Qingyuan took Chen Hai aside for a private talk, praising him as an excellent athlete. He particularly commended Chen Hai's proactive approach to addressing his mental state with a psychologist, a step many athletes hesitate to take. Shen Qingyuan reaffirmed his strong belief in Chen Hai and encouraged him to persevere.

When she asked about his obligations, he stated he would be responsible for resolving all of her work-related issues, including the situation with Chen Hai.
